MARK DI had a great experience with U-Haul and their u-box containers. I had two moved over 2 000 miles. Even though there were a lot of different fees (rental, moving, insurance, delivery, etc), there were no surprise charges after the quote. I also paid for moving help at the origin- very helpful since U-Haul usually can't deliver and pickup a u-box in the same day. When I looked at my moving options (regular moving company, do it myself, or a box like PODS or the u-box), I was really torn. I saw many positive and a few negative reviews of U-Haul u-box but in the end, here was went well: booking, packing, app and communication, dates/prediction of arrival in destination, pickup and organizing access at destination. Here are the only 'bad' things: one guy I spoke with through the 1-800 number seemed like a guy off the street who didn't know much (the next call with someone else was great- shoutout to Omar in SF!), and the second small issue was someone local who seemed annoyed with me. Both of those things are minor, and I loved this moving experience!

At first glance it looked fine. Once you start driving everything got more dusty. While checking out in the app I tried to say it's not clean for the next person but then I'd get charged. I wish there was a way to report this without charging my ride.

ERIC OThe lady who served me was incredibly rude, obnoxious and unhelpful. She was bitter, angry and blunt from the get go, had no manners and was intentionally trying to give me a hard time and be difficult. Absolutely horrible experience and not what Uhaul usually is. For example: "Pick a place to drop off the truck' I asked her which one was closest to this location and she just bluntly says 'I don't know just pick one'. She tried her best NOT to give me the rental i booked 12 months ahead of time by trying to use every method to deny me the truck, to a point she called head office to try and get them to deny me, luckily they said no he has that truck booked give it to him, to which she salmmed down the phone and said nothing then threw the keys across the desk at me. Foul woman.

Susan C | Premières impressionsInitially, I scheduled a pick-up only to find out that the UBox was not ready and the staff couldn't give me a clear time frame for when it would be available. This was especially frustrating as I had to borrow a friend's car to make the trip. As a result, I had to reschedule, costing me valuable time and effort. On my second attempt, I decided to rent a U-Haul truck to make the process smoother. However, right before the scheduled pick-up time, the location was suddenly changed to one three miles away. I don't drive, so this unexpected change caused significant inconvenience and stress. Overall, I chose U-Haul for convenience, but this experience has been anything but. Not only was there no compensation for the wasted time and effort, but my one day off a week was effectively ruined-twice in one month. I would like to acknowledge that Gino and Andrea were incredibly helpful and professional throughout this ordeal. They are the reason the place keeps running smoothly. However, the overall service experience has been deeply disappointing. I hope you will take this feedback seriously and address these issues to prevent similar experiences for other customers in the future. satu t | Expérience généraleThis is the first my experience at this location where I may not return. I waited in line patiently, I could see an attendant available but no call up to the line. Continuous walking by you not saying hello or may I help you! When approaching the cashier, I was told what I was doing wrong in attempting my reservation on my mobile app vs the cashier obliging to assist or resolve the issue. This was in an unprofessional manner. There was no reason to be rude to me for needing help. There needs to be extra training to some individuals on customer service and exhibiting positive attitudes. I understand why there's low ratings on Yelp. I was frustrated after my visit. I'm usually not one to settle for terrible attitudes. At that point I just wanted to leave so I had to no longer deal with this negative behavior. I did not expect that at all to happen here. Please fix that!

Joshua CTrucks are old and burn too much gasoline. The vehicles are not well maintained and delivered w/o being checked properly or even fixed prior being rented. Also, the gasoline policy is not fair nor ethical. Not crediting the gasoline when appropriate is not honest. If a client has been added gas more than needed this one should be reimbursed accordingly. Stealing money from a good paying customer is not a good option. We all well know where this leads to.

Then i was left a message after return that balance was not paid. I called to pay and reservation could not be found. Took several minutes on hold to be told it was paid.

Brandon TI was never informed that I needed to have someone available as a contact that answered the phone. That is an intrusion into my privacy. So was the registration process. I don't want my photo taken to rent a vehicle. I don't want my friend called. I will never rent from U-haul again. Identification of the vehicle was unclear. When I disputed the photos the website would not accept my photos. Just a really rotten experience.
ANGELA BI was promised a receipt by email within 30 minutes of dropping my keys but nothing has come through yet. I'm pretty miffed. That's really unacceptable.
DAVID FCustomer service will be sure to remind customers how it's their own fault the app didn't work well for them. Suffice to say the app is frustrating and laborious. For example, customer authentication happens at the end of the booking process instead of way ahead of time. There's an opportunity to pre-book, but no mention of why anyone would want to. Then, you get to the facility and you stand there and wait and wait and wait for the app to churn.

Zaid FI called and spoke with someone who told me that my Ubox was there and that she had everything she needed for my movers to access the Ubox the next day (I booked my movers through Uhaul's Movinghelp.com). Unfortunately when my movers showed up the next day there was no "reservation" for my Ubox to be accessed. The guy at the store wanted to talk with me about the situation and he was very rude to me saying that I inconvenienced them... but I had no idea I needed to make a reservation because I was told the day before by Uhaul staff that everything was set up and ready to go. I was made to feel like I did something wrong and I did not appreciate being spoken rudely to. Everything worked out, I just felt really bad for wasting my mover's time.

Delivery was provided by U-Haul via HD Moving and was promptly on time. Plenty of room for his truck and trailer with the U-Box to back into the driveway and unload into the garage. Prior to the delivery, Marcel from HD Moving stayed in contact via text and phone calls to ensure the process went smoothly. Marcel went above and beyond assisting with lowering the ramp and moving large, heavy items from the U-Box that would have been difficult for me to do on my own. The whole process from delivery of the U-Box to completion of moving the items out was under an hour with his assistance. Highly satisfied!
Stephanie KManagers and staff were awesome - the move-in process couldn't have been smoother. Truck rental was quick and easy - great vehicle, just the right size for my move. Geno and Anthony and their excellent team went to great lengths to make sure I understood how to access the storage space, make payments in the office as was my preference, to navigate the security system, access the load/unloading driveways and things I wouldn't have known to ask about ahead of time. Not just a great storage facility - clean, spacious, well-maintained - the real differentiator is this team's thoughtful, dedicated customer service !!!

I experienced some slight difficulty related to 1) determining the location of my rented storage unit within the building and 2) using the freight elevator. I feel that the customer experience could be made even better by considering and making improvements to both. I'll provide more details below. 1) Location of rented storage unit: I entered the facility on the 2nd floor. Welcome emails from Uhaul storage indicated to me that my storage unit was in the 6000s. However, when I reviewed the posted maps of the 1525 Bryant Uhaul facility I wasn't able to visually locate where my unit within the facility. A Uhaul employee passing was able to direct me towards the correct floor/section of the facility, but this was briefly a confusing experience. 2) Use of the freight elevator: While the documentation provided on the walls of the elevator is pretty good, use of the freight elevator is a bit challenging for new customers like myself and realistically requires some trial and error or observing others operate. It's my opinion that any improvements that could be make to simplify the controls of this elevator would make for a better customer experience.

No one know if I needed a permit for delivery, which I did, and made that stressful. I also didn't know I would have to pay movers to deliver my box until the weekend of and added about $200 to my bill. Would have appreciated better communication.

ALEXANDER NEmoyee at counter was extremely rude, aggressive and deliberately unhelpful. It took 45 minutes to finally get a truck, causing major delays in my move. UHaul App did not work for completing profile and employees refused to help or answer any questions. She was likely racist and asked me twice if I jumped line despite me standing for over 20 minutes right in front of her, waiting patiently for my turn. While I was having issues with the app crashing, I asked for help and the employee basically told me I cannot get a truck today. Eventually when I got the truck after 45 mins, dolly was missing. When I walked all the way back to ask, she again told me there is a line and said I never told her I wanted a dolly, despite my receipt having it pre booked.

I asked if I needed to check in with the front desk, and the person informed me that it was not necessary. Therefore, I left after returning the vehicle. When someone called me, they offered a discount which I have yet to receive.
ASANTE DIt was a little unclear how to figure out how to open the truck, adjust the mirrors, release the emergency break, pick up blankets, etc. If I hadn't had people helping me, it would have been really difficult. It would be great if you could provide someone to meet you at the truck to help out. (It was my first time renting and driving a truck.)
Nicole BStaff who signed me up in person were great. However, when I tried to cancel before being charged for a second month, it took many calls, 30 minutes on hold, 20 minutes on hold and 10 minutes on hold to try to reach people. The GM didn't return my message. I finally got through by insisting that I would wait on hold to talk to him and that it was urgent. Meanwhile, me and my emergency contact are receiving letters and emails threatening liens, which made me look irresponsible to someone I care about, through no fault of my own. I finally got it dealt with almost a month after I first tried to cancel. Since I moved out, took my lock with me, and left the unit visibly empty and the door open, it shouldn't have taken so much work to confirm that I was being charged for services I didn't receive.

Not enough staff and support for staff, poor checkin infrastructure and backend processing, truck with low mileage was still very beat up.

MUNAWAR HI opened my storage space to discover that all my belongings were covered in rodent droppings. An employee told me that the facility had a rodent infestation in 2018 and I could file a claim. My belongings were properly stored in sealed boxes and luggage with nothing perishable or anything that could attract pests. No one from Uhaul showed any accountability or assisted me in any way. I contacted Gene Carr, who ignored me. I brought in a rodent cleanup professional from American Attic at my own expense to help me salvage my belongings. He told me the rodents were small rats. The rats had gotten into all my sealed boxes and luggage and contaminated and damaged everything. Even with his help, I had to throw away many treasured items. My Persian rug will have to be professionally cleaned. Until the end, Uhaul was rude and unhelpful. The staff would not even unlock an outlet so my service person could use his hepa vacuum for disinfection. Uhaul knew about the infestation in 2018, but did not inform me so I could retrieve my items.

I mean shut down - gates are shut, excess to different floor was denied on the elevator - when you parked on the deck which is fourth floor, and your rental room is on the 3rd, after unload furnitures on the 3rd, couldn't get back on the 4th floor to reload or get back to the truck. It caused a lot of stress, (We were not giving a passcode, only a card to swipe) and time to waste.

I had a total of three interactions with staff: 1) Initial opening of my account and the person was rude and dismissive 2) I made a reservation for a van and the person raised her voice and stated speaking to me like i was her child when I asked questions regarding the requirements. I left and went to Avis and rented a truck from them 3) After standing in line and patiently waiting my turn the person decided to take a phone call which prolonged my wait and then told me step aside and wait further while she assisted someone behind me all in a rude and dismissive tone The DMV has better service. The desk was often understaffed and representatives on duty were consequently less than happy in their work. The atmosphere of cynicism and general mistrust of clients was pervasive. Oh, yeah, and the price was too high. Do yourselves a favor and remove me from your SPAMMING list. No emails. No phone calls. No text messages. Got it? Good. Bye!
ualtar o | Expérience généraleIt was definitely clean and I'm happy with the storage even though it's a long walk to the unit itself. The GM is great and is good at his job most of the employees seem great too. Security guy was also very kind and helpful. The girl behind the counter when I came to pick up my card was the only issue. She gave poor instructions and I had to return to her 3 times for assistance when she could've just gotten up and helped me the first time. Wasted mine and my movers time. Also the card system is a bit wonky, it requires multiple attempts which is fine once you know but is very disconcerting at first. Should be warned about this when receiving the card.

He followed up with me to obtain a convenient specific unit one that would be convenient for me to come and go to pick up supplies. Very satisfied and I look forward doing business here at the Bryant street location.
