The gas was on empty, and although I got a refund for bringing it to a quarter tank it didn't turn out to make economic sense to me. I also don't quite understand why you need to connect first with my emergency contact. I think you should let people be aware of that in advance so that they can have someone sitting by the phone.OSCARA A.

- Bad online check-in experience: 1) it took more than 10 minutes to get approved online; 2) the website was slow and buggy (e.g. impossible to update mileage and fuel level); 3) the process told me to go to the vehicle on the lot for no reason and then to walk back to the counter to get the key. - Rude and unpleasant staff at the counter. - The vehicle return process was quick and easy.Pierre-Francois L.

The day that I picked up the truck, I was assisted with how to work the elevator and was given additional carts to avoid hogging the two I was using by Cece. This allowed me to load my truck faster while other tenants were able to use another one cart instead of me having to let go of the two was hogging thank you Cece!GERARDO N.
The online check in and return did not work on my smart phone. Specifically, i couldn't click on any buttons that required me to upload a photo. When i checked in, the staff person took the photo of my drivers license. When i returned the vehicle, we had to do it through my friend's phone who happened to be with me. Not sure what i wouldve done otherwise, as there were no instructions provided if this didn't work.. I have a samsung Galaxy S8, which is a pretty common and capable machine. Also, this method for after hours returns required us to be in a dark and sketchy part of san francisco at night with our phones out, NOT paying attention to our surroundings because we were paying attention to our smart phones. I would have felt VERY unsafe, especially as a female, doing this alone. Luckily i had a friend with me, but it was just as likely she would have stayed home while i went to drop off the truck.Jumana N.
I have not received the revised invoice for the actual miles driven. The rep. checking me in said it would be sent in ten minutes. The only receipt I have been sent is for the estimated 12 miles and I drove the vehicle 8.5 miles. Please revise ASAP. Thank you.MATTHEW L.

The van was good, the staff was good, the location is pretty great actually, the big drawback was how clunky the phone checkout app was, it was nearly impossible to use. Next time I will just talk to your nice staff there and not try to just "use the phone".Gilles D.
Second Uhaul I booked here recently, both times I had to dispute significant damage to the truck. I doubt the pictures of the truck have been updated anytime recently because it was in way worse condition than the pictures. This time I also had to wait 20 mins because I was boxed in. Both times I had 1/4 or less gas and had to get gas mid trip, a guessing game, so I didn't run out. Check-in was fine both times but overall the fleet here is a mess.Stephen R.

The people working there were wonderful, but I couldn't even get into the bay with my truck because a motorhome and some homeless people were blocking the entrance. I didn't feel safe walking on the sidewalk in front of the location.Heather G.

Cindy Hernandez was the only employee that made our moving experience awful. We had reserved our truck over a month in advance and had done everything on our part to make sure our move would go smoothly. 5 days before we were scheduled to pick up our truck, I get a call from a very rude Cindy Hernandez. She needs to be retrained on what customer service means. When I asked her reasonable questions about our reservation, she answered me in a very annoyed tone. When I asked her to slow down with explanations (Cause ive never done this before and I couldn't understand her) she became extremely emotional and rude to me. I had to hand the phone to my partner and she raised her voice at him when it was not necessary. I work in customer service and what Miss. Hernandez provided was far from it. I hope Uhaul can provide her with the training she needs to provide future customers the service they deserve.Robert G.
