I have issue with pick up location not drop off.
The person who checked my rental and took the keys was wearing his mask under his nose. I noticed a lot of customers were doing the same, but I'd appreciate it if the employees would at least wear their masks properly.

Ben and his team are an asset to the U-Haul brand: efficient, friendly, and customer-focused. The units were clean and easy to access. We were check-in to our unit quickly on a very busy day at the facility (excellent teamwork!). I've rented from other storage unit providers in the area and this team and facility is heads above the rest. I give this facility my highest recommendation.

Please make sure the truck is out and ready for the customer to pickup. I signed up for contact free pickup, but my truck was not ready and waiting. I had to go inside and get assistance. I was trying to avoid minimal contact with others.

more clear communication with pricing and how different fare charges will be.. the front desk communicated with me i would get a cheaper rate if i returned the truck to the original location instead of my designated location but i ended up paying much more than i had expected because of the distance.

Hi I ordered a U-Haul Truck and Moving Help service yesterday Jan 15. Here are the info of my order: My U-Haul reservation number: 22392121 Moving Help Job Number JB-2F52DD33 ‘Motivated Movers' contacted me and we scheduled 3PM Jan 15 for movers to arrive at our location. So I went and picked up the U-Haul truck and waited for them at location. They didn't show up and didn't answer any of my calls until 5PM! They told me after 2 hours that we were waiting that they can't make it! Me and my family always use U-Haul and Moving Help for our moving Since we really trust your company and what happened yesterday Is very disappointing. I lost a day from work and we couldn't move! I want this order cancelled and refunded, I also want my u-haul truck rental refunded Since we didn't get to use it because these guys decided not to show up! And I want to be able to write a review for them on your website to inform others about this company. This shouldn't happen to any other family.
I was bill $20 for a late drop. I returned the vehicle at 5PM 2 hours before closing. Why???

I was very pleased with both gentlemen that worked in tandem to get me hooked up and on the road. there was an issue the the electrical connection on my truck but the U-Haul representative in charge (sorry can't remember his name at this moment) used his expertise in this matter to solve it with minimal delay. Thank you both.
Promptly helped with disconnecting my trailer and the people I interacted with were friendly and helpful.
Upon clearing out my storage unit, I went to the office to check out. I provided my access card to the person at the counter and was told I was good to go. I checked the status the next day and the unit was still active so I called and was assured I would be checked out. I then requested a move out online just to be sure. After a couple weeks of waiting, the rental was still showing active. I called the location again and was ensured it would be taken care of. A few days later, I received an email saying my rent was overdue. I called the 800 number because the location had not been helpful. All they did was send an email to the manager requesting this be closed out. The next day I called the location and was told the manager was not available but they would leave a message requesting the rental be completed. The next day I received an email saying a late charge was being applied to my account for not paying rent for a unit I had been out of for over 2 weeks and requested 7 times to be done with. It was only when I replied to this email and indicated I would not be paying one penny more for a unit I have been trying to check out of for weeks that the checkout was FINALLY completed. This was either an attempt to get me to pay more money than I owed or just total incompetence on EVERY employee I interacted with when trying to close this out. Completely unacceptable. I will not be using uhaul ever again.
no communication. tried to rip me off multiple times. i’m convinced they were trying to take advantage of me and would have been successful with someone weaker/less confident/stupider. Tried to move out 3 times and they wouldn’t confirm. absolutely trash organization.
I returned the truck the same day that I rented it which was 12/23:2020 @ 10:30 pm to 45715 Old Ox Rd Sterling, VA 20166. It was documented that the truck was returned 12/27/2020. I just hope that I wasn't charged for all that time.

Thank you for a great rental experience. Easy and convenient! The after-hours return process was great and very easy to complete via the mobile site.
The website and mobile app's GPS funtion would not work and allow me to do a self check out. I had to go into the office to get setup. Also, when returning the truck after hours the photo option also did not work even after reinstalling the app and also trying it on my wife's phone. We sat there for 25 minutes trying to upload the photo to verify mileage and gas. We gave up and just left the keys in the drop box. This needs to be fixed.
Never checked my return in on the computer. Incompetent personnel. I will never use this location again.

This is the second time we used this location. First time for hand truck and furniture dolly. Great customer service. The Cargo Van was clean, gassed up and ready to go. The return was simple, easy and painless. We will use this location again. The two directions of traffic along Old Ox Road are separated by a median so be sure you're heading in the right direction to get in on the first try. You should be heading East on Old Ox Road towards Herndon coming from Route 28.

I attempted to return the van on line since it was after hours. However, the bar code posted o the wall was not readable and was unable to complete on line return. As a result, I was charged a $20 processing fee which I was not in agreement with. It's the last time I use Uhaul for any services.

We just needed about 2 weeks of storage to move boxes packed for our move out of the house while the house was on the market. This worked perfectly using UHaul storage.

You guys made me drive 60 miles just to get the truck and then I used your moving helpers option who were a total disaster, they pretty much told us we have to carry and help them move the big stuff, that’s just ridiculous.
Initial customer service with Chantell was awesome. However move out was unpleasant. Several calls regarding a payment for a storage unit I cancelled three weeks ahead of time and a follow-up parent call respresentive was very rude to my wife over the phone.

I gave this location an average because of the placement of the U-Haul trucks everywhere was dangerous and difficult for us to navigate through the maze of them safely while still attempting to get to our storage unit to unload our things.

Very little space to maneuver vehicles. The nearly empty lot next door should be acquired for truck parking.

My check in to purchase a rental storage unit was easy at the office . I tried doing self check in on the computer but was not able to . I was just going round and round getting nothing accomplished. Good old face to face at the store is much better.😊 The ladies that were working at this store are very friendly and get the job done quickly. Thank You

I have frequented several uhaul locations over the past few years. This facility it run well and the employees are helpful. Three particular evens showed this locations quality. One when moving the truck the employee bumped the mirror and he promptly retrieved a sticker and marked it with out me saying that I saw this. So A+ for honesty. Two I closed out before the start of the new month but my auto pay had already gone through for the month. The manager was able to set this right. So A+ for doing the right thing, follow though, and reasonableness. Three I found that the store was well stocked and well priced. So that was convenient. Overall this is an excellent uhaul location and helps make the stressful time of moving and storing manageable.
I have used this facility on multiple occasions. The trucks and vans are clean and well cared for. The staff are courteous and helpful. This location does typically stays busy. So the process of waiting and renting does usually take 15-25 mins depending on how busy they are.
I don’t understand why the customer service is so bad. Every time I go in there, everyone is in the worst mood ever. A smile goes a LONG way. I am paying a lot of money to be there, so be nice!!!

Each person I worked with to obtain my equipment and storage displayed outstanding, professionalism , in spite of the lack of faulty computers that did not perform operations in timely manner.
The only item worth mentioning are the trucks in the access lanes that make it somewhat difficult to come and go.

The slide on the door was rusty and very hard to open (even though I mentioned it, it was never greased. The employees and owner were extremely pleasant and nice to work with.
Needs better pest control. After 6 months, I found a mouse or mice had gone through almost everything, leaving trails of droppings, dyed blue from the pest control trap. There was one dead mouse.
Wanda and her team go above and beyond at the Sterling facility. The units were very clean and the service was always friendly and so helpful! We will definitely return here againif we need storage!

The only huge downer is pricing. Your competitor, one-tenth a mile up the street is considerably cheaper. I got the same size unit less than half of what I pay with U-Haul & its atmosphere controled.
The Sterling UHaul is Customer Focused. Their I service is amazing. Robert can be a bit edgy and should be reminded how to remain calm and be nice to customers. The rest of the staff is A M A Z I N G

I've been with Uhaul - Sterling for years . I've never had a problem until now, we moved out of our storage unit before the next billing cycle . Made then aware and still got charged.
