That night (when I arrived in Alexandria), I had to call the U-Haul roadside assistance. And the guy on the phone was not helpful at all. I was pleading with him and asking if someone could come and help mauver the truck and tow. But he was adamant about having me to call a tow service to tow and not help me with maneuvering and driving the truck for me. This would have cost me a lot of money and the guy was making the situation more stressful for me. It was a very rough moving day. --- Also, the moving company, Its a Good Day to MOve was terrible. They moved everything in a fast manner but had a poor communication style. They were close minded and wanted to start confrontation. This was a very stressful day.CHAD R.

I was charged an additional 43 dollars after the truck was returned on time with the correct amount of gas and no damage.Wesley L.
Had several problems getting into my climate control storage. The security doors sometime would not let me in and when I would go to the front desk to ask someone to help me there was usually no one there and I would have to wait five minutes before somebody else came back in to help me. I also have a climate control storage and there's a thermometer that says the building is supposed to be in between the two lines during the winter time it got below that why would I be paying for a storage building if you cannot maintain the temperature like you're supposed to. I canceled my storage building not too long after. U-Haul charged my account on August 1 and I canceled on August 2 and was told that I would not get a refund don't understand why this is ridiculous what kind of policies do you have. There were about 10 people in line when i arrived to pick up, and probably 5 when i was dropping off the trailer. This is not an excessive amount, and the wait was not terribly long, but only the 2 of the three attendants onsite were doing anything. The third one stated she could only do storage units and not equipment. I realize that having the specialties split like that could help alleviate the traffic for people, but in this case each time i was there she could not (or would not) help. The entire time on site was probably less than 40 minutes, but it could've been perhaps half that. Anyways, just a thought. Overall it was a great experience as usual.Justin D.

Good Afternoon, I have a dispute that I would like to file regarding the final bill receipt from 7/28. We did fill the tank to a FULL tank at Sheetz on Timberlake Rd, the one across from Wendy's. We filled it as far as the tank would let us to the â€œFâ€ or FULL marker. It is only 1,2 miles from Sheetz to U-Haul Timberlake Rd. Please remove the $11,5 charge for the 2 gallons of gasoline. I know gas is expensive currently, but it is not $5,75 a gallon. Please refund a credit of $11,5 to the card ending in 8461 that is on file with my U-Haul account. Horrible service. I reserved a one way truck weeks back put my card on file and everything, showed up to get the reserved truck on time on the day I reserved it for and they didn't have a one way truck. They made us take a in town truck and drive it all the way to Lexington and back without giving us any accommodations or offering to pay for our gas after they were the ones to make the mistake. I clearly reserved the one way so I could drop it off at the uhaul location in Lexington and not do the extra 3 hours of driving. Also the truck had a huge gash in the tire and the alignment was way off and we were going over a steep curving mountain with terrible alignment we told uhaul all of this over the phone and they still said we had to return it to the Lynchburg location without offering any solutions. This was all their fault not ours we reserved the one way and did everything we were supposed to so this was their problem to fix not ours but they still made us fix it. The worst service I've had with a company ever I will never use them again. Most inconsiderate company.Bryce T.

Ben Dooley, the General Managers customer service is awful. I will never use anything UHAUL again. I was out with Covid and in the hospital for a month and got behind on my storage unit payment. He refused to speak with me directly so I could explain my situation. He is not willing to work with you at all and doesn't care. What kind of GM refuses to speak with a customer. Actual storage unit was fine. Everything else about experience was not. Snow was plowed right in front of the unit so moving out was a slipping hazard. Staff barely explained check in process and acted as if helping us/answering questions was a chore. When we went to move out and stop renting, nothing about reimbursement for partial month was explained-nothing about move out process explained for that matter-and staff member seemed intoxicated. I seriously STILL need more space to store 2 beds, end tables, large kitchen table and 12 chairs and kitchen things. I had the worst experience with UHAUL from day 1. It all started when I reserved a unit online with UHAUL on Park Ave. I came with a truck full of things to put in unit to be told the elevator was out of service and my unit was on the 3rd floor. How on earth would I be able to move furniture and heavy tubs/boxes up all those steps? So, I cancelled my storage unit and still had a truck full that I couldn't put in storage and had done all that lifting and moving for nothing.... ON TOP OF ALL THAT, The woman who was at the front desk at Park Ave was the most DISRESPECTFUL, SARCASTIC, UNPROFESSIONAL CUSTOMER SERVICE I'VE EVER HAD IN MY LIFE! I HAD NO LUCK FOR WEEKS FINDING A STORAGE UNIT I COULD AFFORD THAT WAS AVAILABLE. TIMBERLAKE HAD NO UNITS available in 5x10. Finally one comes available but has to be cleaned. Then it had to be fixed. Then it wasn't my size I paid for. Home office had been contacted numerous times but they are just as unprofessional as everybody else. I never could get Timberlake to answer phone calls. Dude who did my paperwork didn't know what he was doing. Had to redo once I finally was put in right size unit. I pay in full back months ago, moved everything out unit and took lock off. I get emails saying I have a lien and overdue balance. What on earth????? The actual checking in to rent the unit was extremely slow and frustrating. There was definitely not enough workers to effectively manage the amount of customers looking to rent.
