We dropped the truck off within the 24 hr window, they did not process it in time and then charged us for an extra 2 days. Not happy with this... trying to get it rectified has been a hassle. IMPROVE: make sure there is a return manifest that is signed off on, especially when they are open.Maria J.

When I hooked up the trailer the employee came out to tell me I should have back my car in where I did. 2 things they could have done. 1. Tell me where to go when connecting the trailer before I leave the office. This will ensure there is no misunderstanding. 2. When they came out to tell I was in the wrong spot I felt like I was being scolded.Robert P.

Returned the pick up and there was employee meet me in the parking lot and said how did you pay for the rental when you came in and I told him by credit card he said ok your good to go we will send you a receipt. Received the receipt and to my surprise they charged me for fuel which I returned the fuel to the level that I started with. I am on hold for over 45 mins to talk to someone and still waiting. Please make sure you get the receipt before you leave the store. Not happy that I can't talk to someone from the store. Terrible customer service and make sure if you rent from this location to make sure to get the receipt on the spot not by email.JOHN M.

The truck had an issue with the key/starter. We need to turn the key multiple times before the starter would kick in to state the motor.Gianni L.
I rented a truck and drove 45 kms today. before droping off the truck to uhaul, I went to gas station. I filled the truck 10 litrs, but the gauge didn't move to original position. I started the truck and switched it off 2-3 times trying to see if the gauge goes back to it's original position, but it didn't move. So I had to refuel it again for 5 additional litrs and this time, the gauge jumped to 2 degrees higher than what it was when I rented the truck. I think the car had been manipulated somehow, to make the cusotmer pay more for the gas. 15 litrs of gas for only 45 kms ! I Spent $27 for gas. I wouldn't recommend to anyone using uhaul rentals.Aref S.

Hi, We're there no discounted km because of the distance driven? Previously when renting from U-Haul our km rate would be discounted for the first 100 km or it would include some km in the cost. This was the most expensive move we've ever done for a University of Guelph to Aurora trip. Why? I guess I should have asked more questions about the charges before I choose U-Haul. With gas and less than 12 hours with the truck it was about $375 !!! I've been happy with U-Haul but I'll be shopping around next time I need a truck. drove off and found it had a flat tire. Tried calling the location but no one picked up the phone. Tried 5 times but no luck. Then called road service and they were awful. had to wait for 2,5 hours to get my truck fixed when IT WAS NOT SNOWING ANYWHERE. Maybe give the contract at time of return when the customer returns vehicle early! I returned the vehicle at 6:30pm the day of rental and the contract reflects that it was checked in today and not when I returned it. That was my only disappointment as I was waiting to turn in my receipt for expenses. Other than that everything else was amazing.Julie S.

I want to start by saying I hardly ever leave reviews, let alone bad ones, But never in a million years would I recommend this location to anyone, and that is all because of your employee Zandrea. I came to pick up a truck this morning and while the lobby was busy with customers. Zandrea wasn't with anyone. He was sitting there with his Aipods in, so we asked if he was free and he rudely said â€œcan't you see I'm with someone?â€..it gets worse. I tried to check in using the Uhaul app but it was taking a long time to approve so eventually Zandrea helped me. I told him it was taking too long, and he said it could take up to 45 minutes so he would help me. Less than a minute into him helping me, he stopped typing and said â€œsorry, I can't work like this it's too hot for meâ€. Instead of taking off one of his many layers, he proceeded to pick up a tool box, drag a chair across the store, and start trying to fix the AC unit. The customers were so confused at this strange behavior. It gets even worse, when he finally came back to help me, he told me I needed to be a bit more patient! I asked him if he was joking as it had now been 45 minutes or me waiting for my truck all while he went to fix the AC while wearing a coat (it was -1 out today). But it gets worse, in response to this, he got up from his chair and walked around his desk to approach me as he pointed a finger at me and said I needed to get out and that he would cancel my reservation. In my complete shock I left and told my partner, who wen confronting Zandrea was met with Zandrea saying â€œI don't have to take shit from customersâ€. I urge you to watch the video footage, it will show everything. It was bizarre and infuriating and not only would I not recommend this location, I would never recommend uhaul because of this experience. I had to call customer service and extend my rental so that I wouldn't have to see him during business hours. It makes no sense that he works in customers service as he worked like a sloth on purpose to aggravate people and not only aggressively approached me, but cursed as well. This is the third time I am having a bad experience with this location. they say something else when you book it over the phone and it's a completely different story once you reach there. I booked a Uhaul 15" truck on Friday at 12 pm. but when I reached there, they had nothing to give me. I came empty-handed. then they called me 3 in the afternoon that you can come and pick the truck up. I again went there to pick it up. we loaded the truck from our storage unit and came home. we were so behind the schedule. my whole day got messed and we have stuff all over the lobby floor because we did not get time to tidy our place, we got so late. I have work on Sundays. now we have to wait till the next weekend to clean and put everything in its place. so unhappy, very unprofessional service. this whole week we have to stay In a mess. thanks to UHAUL Aurora. i ll make sure to give my business to someone else next time.Abhishek V. | Expérience générale

I hired the truck for the week as I had to move a lot of furniture. My rugs got soaked and ruined from a leak coming from the top corner at the back of the truck. I don't know if there is a way I can claim for this. I do have photos but I am very upset.PATRICIA S.

The representative I spoke to on the phone when I called to reserve the equipment was very nice. She told me she was in Detroit and I enjoyed the conversation with her. The rest of the experience wasn't good. I arrived at the location, signed the documentation and paid for the rental. Then the representative asked me if I knew how to hook up a trailer because, and I quote, "I'm too fabulous to hook up trailers". Half in jest perhaps but he didn't help me hook it up. The coupler was rusty and the knob that tightens the coupler was difficult to turn and I had to struggle to get it properly tightened around my coupler ball. That and the handles/latches on the trailer roll up door were rusty too, leaving my hands covered in brown rust when I was done. The attendant did offer to let me use the washroom to wash up but I just wanted to be done with this place so I wiped my hands with a rag I had in my vehicle and left. The door rollers were dry and in desperate need of lubrication which made opening and closing the doors both difficult and noisy. All in all, a very disappointing experience. Unfortunately, Uhaul is the only trailer rental outfit in town because if I had any choice of vendor, I wouldn't deal with Uhaul. This isn't my first bad experience with Uhaul trailers. I can't speak to Uhaul trucks because I've never rented one but the towed equipment is old, poorly maintained, and generally far beyond its "best before date". Suggestions for improvement? Take care of this equipment. Keep it clean, serviced, lubricated, and generally fit instead of leaving it out in the elements and leaving customers to deal with rust and sticking components.Gil C.

I used the online "truck share" application which was really not a great timesaver. I had to enter the building and wait my turn just the same but I did all the leg work. It would be nice to have an ice scraper during the winter months or even better have the trucks swept of snow by staff. The drop off went very smoothly as the attendant recieved me and was very courteous and I was on my way within mere seconds.CHRISTOPHER R.

The alleyways with the storage units were quite dark and unlit after sunset. Also, the snow was plowed to the end of the strip, leaving it impassable for most of the winter and needing to dangerously reverse all the way to the back again since there isn't room to turn around. The storage unit itself was clean and dry and served it's purpose well. As someone working an unusual work shift outside of general business hours, however I personally would have liked to have had 24/7 access to my unit via the gate and my access code. I'm not sure why I even had an access code if I can't access the facility after hours; the gate is open 100 % of the time during office hours, and I never, ever used my code I just drove in or around if a truck being returned was in the way. But longer access periods with customers willing to come at night with their code would be valued I think. Not sure if rental vehicles normally come with a snow brush but this one did not include a brush. Also, I put approximately 43 kms of travel but needed just a little over 17 litres to fill ($29,64) which seems quite high. This makes me think that your vehicles do not get the gas mileage as advertised! I should have been able to get approximately 8,5km/l which by my calculations is about 5 litres of gas usage. The fuel gauge was at FULL when I picked it up.Paolo M.

I've used uhaul many times over the last 30 years. This particular Aurora location has been managed and run like a perfect business for the last 7-10 yearsâ€¦ I remember using this location years ago and was disappointed that it was the same as all the other uhaul locations. Dirty, gross, and not a pleasant experience. Well-this location has turned all of that around. It is always clean, organized, on time, today, helpful employees, just an all around perfect experience. Unit had a leak, informed the on-site staff who said they would tell maintenence. Waited for about an hour. Then saw staff again who informed us that he wrote a note for maintence and they would be in Monday. He expected us to come back to let in maintenence without informing us this was the case. Dear U Haul I want to share my experience with you guys. Let me start from very beginning. Everything starts from friday(20/8/21). I booked uhaul 20" truck online everything went smooth and at the same time i was looking for storage unit. I got a popup that i can get a free first month. I was like gr8 thats all i need and i went on to reserve it and apply the discount but somehow an error occurred. Then i called the uhaul toll free number. Lady picked up everything went well she said she applied the discount everything is good u now just have to pick up truck move your stuff and return the truck back. Was so happy until the moving day sunday (22/8/21). I went to pick up the 20" truck and it turns out that they dont have that. I was amazed like how can someone book you something that is not even available. I was like ok no problem i ll go with 15" and rest of the small stuff I ll move by my car. And just to make my moving more worse the truck was filthy, steering wherel and seats were sticky as there were lot of sweat and never cleaned but it was moving day, i ignored it. i put my stuff in the rental went to storage unit which was 40 kms away and when i reached there the guy said they cant apply the discount because the rental truck has to be one way or something. Again they promised me something else and charging me something else. I called u haul toll free as i was waiting outside. They said the same thing i said can i talk to manager and she even said the same thing. Then i replied i already got to know this thing from 2 other people but as a manager how you can help me out in this situation and while our conversation was going on I mentioned that i was getting it cheaper somewhere else but i choose u guys cuz of promotion and now u r saying this you cant honour it. Her reply just made me so angry, she said u should go to those guys if they r cheaper. Lady just hear yourself i m in ur truck its almost 4 o clock 5 o clock everything will be closed and i am 40 kms away from my city and u r saying this to go take it somewhere else. Thats just so rude and that's not a way to handle customer complaints. Gist of the story i am using u haul from quite a bit u can check my records and this was by far the worst experience I ever had with Uhaul. I want someone to look after my case and give me call back with all the answers i have. -Why you promised 20" truck but never had it? -why u told me that u have applied the discounts and made me go 40 kms and then only tell u can go somewhere else? -in these covid time why u don't assure the cleanliness and proper sanitation of the trucks? - why ur manager despite solving customer issues tell them to go somewhere else? This is important. And i want to let u know my brother and i are starting to feel itchiness in our hands and arms. So please make sure the cleanliness of the rentals. The indoor storage units get very dusty even though they are located inside. U-Haul increases their rates regularly (usually without justitifcation) and it is impossible to reach the manager but she will contact you immediately if they have not received a payment.KEVIN C. | Expérience générale
