The truck was supposed to be picked up at the Newmarket location and the trolley in Aurora (very inconvenient - but not as inconvenient as customer service trying to send us to BARRIE an hour away!) The truck was never dropped off in Newmarket so had to go to Aurora to get both truck and trolley. It was the wrong trolley for the kind of car we were towing, so the doors would not open to let the driver out. He had to crawl his way out the window and then through the small slit that COULD be opened in the backdoor to reach through to close the window he had just climbed out of. Absolutely rediculas. I was also promised a $25 credit for having to drive all around town to collect Uhaul vehicles which I never got.JOSHUA H.

We had a situation: while getting the truck ready, the wind closed the door and locked the keys in the truck. When we told the staff member, she told us there was no spare key available and that the problem was ours to fix. Her attitude towards the issue was very disappointing and unfriendly. She essentially gave the vibe that it was our problem to fix and gave no solutions. We went through uhaul roadside assistance, but the process of filling out a form online and waiting for a response was not very convenient. There should be a 1-800 number or something similar. Furthermore, it is very odd to think there are no spare keys on the lot for any of the trucks. The staff member's attitude was particularly frustrating.EMANUEL G.

Your infrastructure for internet was down and caused your person at the desk huge stress and a line up of people. I did an on-line reservation and I was delayed an hour. Your desk person was great despite all the customer complaints. YOU NEED TO HELP HIM and apologize for not providing better internet coverage.Etienne G.

We had to switch dates of our move because Uhaul told us the day prior they did not have a truck available at our location. Then head office booked a new date but details eg km promised, 48 hrs for price of 24 hrs etc did not come thru on contract. We were forced to drive 2 hrs out of our way to return the rental. Our contract said the date and time we were to return the vehicle which we did prior to the deadline but we were charged an extra day rental on top. Spent > 1.5 hours, 4 times, on hold trying to speak to customer service. Twice I was dropped from the line after 1.5 hrs waiting. Local pick up location NEVER answered their phone. When I drove back to them to ask why we were charged for the extra day the local office told me I have to call customer service. TERRIBLE customer service! I need a truck to move stuff again next month but I will NEVER use Uhaul again. Hours of my time wasted on poor service. Sad because the truck met our needs but the Uhaul staff/ system is to be avoided.Kendra P.
First of all you advertise that we can pick up in one place and dropped off in another place and this was a big lie for me. Secondly u don't give me a van with a full gas tank, it was third quarter full so the customer don't know how much acctually put in after use. Thirdly you charge me $20 for after hour charge that I wasn't informed about it and I don't know why you charged me for that. I just dropped the car and dropped the key in the box and sign on line as I was supposed to. Can u tell me why u charge for that?MOSTAFA K.

I got charged an extra $20. I had no idea about letting know Uhaul after dropping off the key online. No one told me to do that. All the process was done at the store with your employee with his personal cellphone. It was not professional and safe to ask for credit card info and using a personal cellphone. In the worst-case scenario, your employee must ask to finish the process with the client's cellphone.Seyed Hamid M.
The van was so dirty on the outside that I had to stop at a gas station to clean the windows before getting on with my trip. And the tires are too slippery to drive on a snowy day!PAUL K.

The Representative Kept me waiting for 5 minutes standing there when there was no one else in the store and was not on phone, she was just sitting there behind the counter looking at cameras not wearing a mask (had it below her chin) and she was continuously wiping her face and nose with her bare hand and then proceeds to hand me a key without sanitizing. Even without Covid that's still pretty brutal. Anyway, wasn't very happy with that. The rest of the trip/rental unit was fine.Paul C.
