It was extremely unorganized from start to finish. The location listed on the website I wanted didn't have my product I requested. Then they asked for a different location via phone call post my request already being submitted, on the day for my pick up they call 20 minutes before my arrival time to switch locations again. I arrived and there was a line up of people (why schedule pick up times if the volume can't be accomplished) I also got a hidden fee of some kind post drop off. I did a self checkout with pictures (so deposit should be given back in full via check) however the app stated i owed money. If i pay for my unit in full including taxes, I return on my own (no convenience charge) why would I still be paying a fee? This company is disorganized and will charge for everything. The rental equipment was great. Additional time spent with a rather incompetent counter person wasn't so great. It took 3 times longer at the counter than it typically does in my experience with UHaul. We did have to wait more than 15 minutes due to capacity restrictions, but that wasn't really the issue. I also don't like that UHaul now expects the customer to provide their drivers license via a photo and upload to a website. Rentals are not cheaper, yet UHaul now has the customer do half the job of processing the rental. If this is only happening now due to non-contact protocols during COVID then fine, but the staff should inform the customers of this rather than just snapping orders. Other than that I am perfectly satisfied with UHaul and the trailer I needed.Angelina Z.

This is the second time I use a beaten up truck (exact same truck). If in the parking lot there might be a dozen of newer trucks, why do you still give the most aged/used one to customers and not the best/newest one?Thiago B.
Our reservation was cancelled by U-Haul, they were unable to offer us another truck the same size, and we had to pick up and drop off a smaller one from much further away causing much frustration during our move which was already on a tight schedule. The person who served us was very untrained and left alone to flounder. While they said "she's very new" there was 6 people wandering about that could have helped her. They clearly did not worry about the customer experience, nor the actual training of their employee. Poor for customers, poor for workers. She tried to tell us we could not drop off after hours, then she tried to give us the wrong vehicle, telling me just to make note of the difference in kms (over 10k difference!). It's only because the key wouldn't start it that she accepted that there was a mistake. I do not blame her, I blame the organization for not training her properly. Finally - I could not use your return app. If it didn't have a friend with me, I would not have been able to return the vehicle via your website. I did everything the help said to do (i.e. location settings) but it would not work. **This is a significant flaw in your system and I will have to think long and hard before renting from uhaul again.Stephanie P.
When a customer phones the location, that call should be assigned the next customer in line spot. I phoned, and after 1 hour on hold, drove 25 minutes to the location, stood in line while they dealt with the customers ahead of me, and then hung up the phone when it was my turn.They didn't care about that. But apparently it's like that at all locations. If yous don't want to deal with customers via the phone, then don't answer it and put people on hold, let central booking answer the phone.Theodore T.

It should be stated in the online booking that you cannot rent a uhaul for longer than 24 hours at the end of the month. The man at the desk was also rude to myself and my partner as well as the other people renting a uhaul at the same time. Would never recommend this location.Nicholaus G.

Agent who helped when I picked up the truck was awesome. There was miscommunication after I had booked the truck and got confirmation for a different location, then was told I could not pick up there. This location was very much out of the way, therefore was going to cost much more in mileage. He reduced the price for the issues I experienced, plus the rude attitude I received from the agent at the other location. That was awesome customer service The only thing I can say is perhaps have a few more agents at the front to help the customers waiting in line but other than that, great service, friendly and polite.Terina S.

Uhaul/share is a great tool but it was not working properly, which made me wait in line for over 20 mins before speaking with a representative. Instructions to use Uhaul/share should include to say that â€œprivacy/locationâ€ (in IOS) must be switch to â€œwhile using safariâ€. Uhaul app didn't work and using ios/safari only worked in the truck return, after switching my settings as indicated by Uhaul + additional settings of privacy (to also allow location sharing)Thiago B.

I replaced the gas I used (I put in litres or 60km on a pick up truck), the dial was back in the same place). I left, they said they'd email me the receipt, then I saw they charged me nearly 16,00 $ for gas! I tried calling, couldn't speak to the front desk guys that helped me. Initially my drop-off location was Olympian Ethiopian Restaurant Cafe. The lady at the place denied my vehicle drop-off saying its too big and to go to a different location. This is something which should be sorted already at Uhaul's end and not during the time of drop-off, making the customer go around the city. We wanted the truck for two days and could not have it. No solution was offered eg: maybe a smaller truck. The truck was marked full and there was only 1/4 of a tank in the truck. There was no furniture dolly. Just a note on the door when we got there saying they were out of a list of things. The dolly was just one of items on the list. When my husband took the truck back there was a line up and a car blocking the entrance. (There isnt much room there for the volume they do), but no one told it to move. He had to park the truck on the road and someone had to tell the guy to go check it in. The people were super busy, maybe short handed, not sure. 10 years as a customer. Two break-ins despite a "secure" facility. Never any meaningful response or responsibility taken. Elevator down twice in business hours. Security cameras offline for months at a time, let alone blind spots. Floor waxed in business hours prohibiting access to some areas. Elevator and parking area always dirty. Many problems over the years with card access/failure. Number of handtrucks and handcarts reduced to maybe 1, 2 or 3 out of the original 8. Facility opened fine and then continually ran downhill over the years with no money spent to maintain or upgrade. My U-haul Storage rental unit #1203 was broken into at 2:00 am. Your staff member (Nicole?) called me, and said the breakin was captured on video. Within days, she changed her story 3 separte time: 1st she can't sshow me the video due to 'privacy'. Then, the video camers weren't working. Finally, she said their ARE no cameras. This is unacceptable. I tried to close the unit rental contral in 3 separate visits to your office. 1st the staff didn't help at all (Sat. morning, young man was clerk). 2nd visit, a female staff (same one that phoned about the breakin) gave me a form to sign reliquishing my claim on any property therein, and closing the rental term by removing my credit card no. from the account (Oct 27). Finally, I kept getting emails from yyour service telling me that the rental that I had already closed was 'overdue' and you we charging me late fees on a contract that was closed. This has been a miserable experince, in which I lost thousands of dollars in property, was lied to and disrepected throughout by your staff (wyo by the way NEVER annser the phone, nor can I leave a msg), and I wasted dozens of hours trying to deal with your company on what should have never happened, if you ran a safe and secure facility. This is actually probably the worst customer service I've ever experienced, next to skip the dishes. I had some fraud on my debit card, so I needed to change the card on file. I tried called U Haul for 3 weeks straight, nobody would answer the phone. The card was declined and I was charged a late fee. I decided to cancel the storage at that point. After I moved out, I STILL couldn't get ahold of anyone. They would immediately put me on hold and sometimes even hang up on me. This location is an absolute joke. I loathe going inside because they have 1 incompetent person working the counter for a lineup of 20 customers. Only problem on the day when we were moving out was, that we were waiting for 30 min, even though I checked in the day before. The main door was closed so we had to take out our stuff through the side door, which was tough but we survived. The front desk staff were very polite and accommodating despite the office being very busy. They were able to answer all of my questions and provide me with equipment I required at no extra cost. The staff even provided some suggestions about how to strategically park the truck so that it would be easier to unload in the storage bay. I left question 5 unanswered because no the facility could have been cleaned more often: washroom ,garbage,can with paper towels over flowing, toilet paper missing: however after I spoke to one of the fellow attendants , he saaid that people just take the roll with them- I'm aware that the human mind leaves much to be desired! you are off the hook on that one. Come prepared! Garbage at main doors left for days. I was at the facility U-Haul fairly often. Lots of garbage out in front of the truck rental check area- I even picked up some of the broken plastic totes. I would say room for improvement. simply assign someone to do a check every evening - would solve the problem. -always had trouble with the monthly payments, was locked out of storage locker monthly which was very inconvenient. Every error was on the side of uhaul -the area where the unloading zone for the storage lockers were was always totally covered in ice. Looks like it was barely salted or cared for -when I urgently needed access to my storage locker and was locked out, the following day I tried to call to sort it out at around 6pm, still an hour left of operating. Called the store the entire hour and NO ONE could answer. Just want to the call centre -seems like no one cares about their work here, unmotivated, not caring?
