I was very unhappy because on my reservation I had a 5x8 trailer a appliance dolly and 5 blankets. There was no dolly and I was informed dollys are first come and I said a reservation paid for is first come. They said its U-hauls rules. I had to go to another location and was charged double and a deposit and still have not got my deposit back either because the guy who did the contract screwed it up also at the second location. When I reserve something I expect it to be there and I should not have to waist gas and time running to other locations and then get charged double. I am very unhappy about my recent experience with U-haul because of this issue with the dooly I needed to move the washer and dryer and when someone reserves it, that means it should be there for that person. FIX THIS plus being charged like I was and screwing up my deposit, which I still have not got back. I am not happy with my experience at all.

Shovel the snow out of the trailer before you rent it out. Maybe power wash it so a customer doesn't have to clean the brake lights.

Online Booking allowed me to book a truck the location did not have as well as a storage unit. Rude staff as well as the supervisor on shift who I asked to speak to after I found out the truck and the storage unit was not available told the staff member she did not want to bothered when I asked to speak with to a supervisor. Manager was not at the location either. Both Mirrors on the box truck I ended up renting were broken and would face downward anytime the truck went over a bump. This location stuffed paper towels in behind the mirrors to make them stay but it did not work. Not a safe vehicle to drive when the mirrors are broken.

Make sure the equipment is in good working condition before its sent out. The auto transport I used had no working trailer brakes and on the day of pick up the safety chain hook was broken,had to come back for pick up was charged full rate with no compensation. Wasn't very happy with this experience 

Seemed to be disorganized in the beginning, waited a long time for someone to help me when I was waiting at the tent. When I went to find my trailer they assigned to me it was blocked in by another trailer. Then they assigned me a different trailer that was dirty & lights were not all working. Other than that everyone was very friendly. I'm not saying this to complain. Just area's to touch up on.

Chane gave fantastic customer service while being completely efficient at his job. He got me isetup with a free month of storage and out the door with a truck for the day I had reserved online. His friendly personality made completing the transaction almost seamless. He explained everything well that I had no issues finding or entering the storage locker building. My only issue I had was when I went to go get a cart to use. There was one moving truck unloading or loading using almost every single cart available. They seemed to also be on some type of break or taking their time so their belongings just sat there on the carts the entire time we were there making them not available to any other customers. There was a single mattress cart to use which was only helpful for a few items.the rest we had to carry to the locker.

I have rented from this location many mannnny times, therefore I have come to know the staff of this location well. Todays interaction prompted me to write a review. My rental experience with Chane was seamless and efficient. I was greeted just after walking in the door and everything was explained in detail. There was an overall feel of camaraderie… Thank you for your help, I'll be back. :)

when I come to return the truck to the place where I picked the truck, no body was there and I could not found the key drop box. so I drop the truck to the place where I use to book the truck. but finally they have charge more than $300 as charges for dropping to a incorrect place. It is really unreasonable ,,,!

Bad days do happen. It is concerning that staff in the yard are untrained and possibly not suppose to drive. Today I witnessed a staff member hitting the side of the building in a company truck. The way he acted was as if he hadn't or was very inexperienced in driving. I reported Witnessing this to the operating staff. It is very concerning.

We rented a 26' U haul drove it to our shop parked it until a semi delivered our product. Our delivery truck was getting maintenance work completed. We went to back up the truck to the loading dock when my employee noticed that the inside tire was flat and that the tire was torn. Who returned it immediately unused and asked for a replacement truck. They refused and still charged us the rental fee. The truck was essentially unused and our shop is 2 kms away from the pick up point which means there was roughly 5 kms added to the trucks mileage. Unprofessional staff and a bunch of crooks honestly. Poor customer service and customer relations. To bad though, we rent a truck about twice a month….No more through U-Haul unless they reimburse us for the hassle and better train their staff who inspect the vehicles.

I don't have reason to refer someone but I can tell you that I am far more used to renting a car. It is a far better experience. We were handed to keys and told the vehicle number. It was covered in snow and the inside not swept from snow. No customer service here!

Slow, unprofessional service. On a snowy day, the first truck i was given had a broken windshield wiper on the passenger side. There were 2 other trucks there the same size. The guy said they were reserved so i couldn't use one and they were going to try to fix the wiper (but they didn't seem very motivated). I asked for another truck and said i didn't have time to wait. The lady at the counter agreed, so I got another truck.

Terrible experience. The truck was given to me with less than 1/4 tank of gas. And one of the wiper blades was not working (it was a snow storm so this was a concern). We asked for a different truck, and they could not provide one, which resulted us in waiting for this truck. We then needed to go get gas to ensure we could make our trip. Never use this company!!

Absolutely poor and scammer..Watch out cause I was charged with damage that we don't even made.they will check the vehicle 9 hours after you returned and there wa no post trip inspection before they will released the driver and after that they will call and say there's a damage on the vehicle..who knows what happened after that 9 hrs they released they released the driver saying it's good.

Wait time was excessive (45+ mins) to pick up my trailer. The whole premises is horribly disorganized and packed with vehicles and trailers everywhere leaving nowhere to park. Eventually was told to meet someone out back at the trailer I rented to have them hook it up and get me going. I waited further and nobody came so I hooked it up myself. Then as I was leaving a staff member chased me down because they needed a picture of the hitch setup. When I came back to return the trailer, I was told I had to go back in to get a refund because my bill was 68$ but they took 75$ off my card. So I had to go inside and wait in line for almost another half hour to get 6 bucks back. Stupid system, horribly inefficient. I have been to this location multiple times and it's always the same issues. Winterburn is much better but they don't have the same amount of inventory.

worst fucking experience ever. not the clerk's fault at this location (he and sue were the only useful employees out of the… five? six? waaay more than should have been necessary at any rate) but for a company whose entire business model is based on MOVING you fucked the dog in a major way and just will not fucking let up. Now i'm getting multiple calls from a field manager with an unknown number who's too goddamn stupid and new to figure out I screen?!?! or that- newsflash- maybe 6pm sunday on a MOVING day is not the ideal time to call someone SIX times in a row!?!! leave a voicemail ffs! And then trying to give me attitude when I point blank told him you all have wasted more than enough of my time today. With everything else that was ENTIRELY YOUR FAULT today that's just beyond the line. No- $50 doesn't fucking cut it, when I had to pay extra to movers, set myself back an hour and a half, get hung up on multiple times, AND now get harassed by some damn nobody who should NOT be a front-facing rep. let's not forget ALL of this is a result of your screw up in the first place. I will seriously NEVER rent a u-haul again. you can all burn for all i care

Originally we were to drop off at the Kingsway Ave location. We arrive and we're told be gentleman that he can not take our drop off there was room in his lot it was not full. His costumer service was poor. Locations should confirm drop off location. As we spent an 1/2 looking for a place to take it and was finally told 154 St is big and will take it. Good thing we were returning early. I couldn't imagine what would happen if we drop off close to our return time.

For numerous reasons that I have expressed to your head office in point form and that I will be elaborating on with a Ms. Manning and a registered letter to your company ceo, I have Never had a more unprofessional experience in my life when dealing with a multinational company. I will most certainly be telling everyone I know to steer absolutely clear of the west end u-haul until there is a change in management and key staff. As far as resolving any dispute before leaving this comment, i do not wish to subject myself to the possibility of anymore unfounded accusations that when quickly shown to not be the case, no apology was given. At all or in any way. Suffice it to say yes, it was that bad of an experience.

Originally rented a 5 by 5 unit, but it was actually 5 by 4, then with the roll up door it was 4 by 4 so I needed to upgrade to a 5 by 10. Which again was only 9' deep. The parking lot and access to the building is very cluttered with trucks and trailers making it take way too long to unload and access the ramp

Homeless people camped out did not make my stuff feel safe . People arguing as I closed my account and his snide remarks . He stated I can keep the lock I purchased before I rented the storage space . Yeah I hope I can keep the lock I prepaid for before I rented the unit. If not I guess the police can get called .

Jayson Castillo was friendly and helpful. We reserved our storage online and it was a bit hard to find in the system once we went to the store. He was patient. 2 of his colleagues were also able to help. So thank you! The loading/unloading dock the day we moved was busy and I find that there is not enough space to park in that area. Inside was very clean though.

The storage unit with exterior access was flooded during move-in in August. The staff, when called by me from BC, went out and roved a lot of water from the floor. I can only assume they helped her lay the orange tarp on the floor also. Most boxes were dry but underneath the tarp there was still plenty of water. Fortunately none of my belongings wete ruined but one box st the rear of the unit containing durable goods was falling apart from being soaked with ground water. Thankfully my stuff was removed before freeze up. The staff on move out were pleasant and accommodating. Unfortunately I think I left my credit card behind and it was used for numerous food purchases and attempted online purchases which were reversed before I checked my online account and cancelled the card. Or there's a possibility that another customer took my credit card. The staff on duty yesterday were not the same people who I dealt with when I moved into my smaller unit in August.

The guy behind the counter was a bit rude and I actually had another customer mention his attitude towards me at 1 point. The rest of the staff was great. It is a bit inconvenient but I was very short on time so it works for now.

They terminated my unit 1043 uhaul west Edmonton because of my son and told us we had to be out by June16 2022. Which we did and now are try to get me to pay July rents . I believe I owe nothing . I would appreciate not to be bothered about this again Sandy Williams 587 9206582

I was able to use a cart to move my stuff into my storage unit. There were other people arriving to take or bring stuff to their own units. More carts would have been handy in that situation. Looked like there was parking for 6 carts but there was only one the whole morning I was there.

there was only one person working at the desk to help 4 customers while there were 2 other staff coming in and out. I waited 30 minutes to be helped, the fellow that was helping me wasn't the most helpful and was having side conversations with the staff coming in and out. Not impressed.

I was told how to enter access codes. Not told how to open the main sliding door to push the dollys in and out. No insurance was spoken about but was checked off on my paperwork. There is no light in the storage unit. Had to provide information for a third party not residing at my address for security purposes. Which makes no sense. It would be my husband who would be the next person to contact if I can't be reached not a friend. I will be working hard to downsize the amount in storage in short order so I can eliminate the need for the locker completely.

Maria, a staff member working in the units, was exceptional! In addition to being an extremely friendly person, Maria assisted us when we realized that the unit we had reserved was going to be too small. Maria sourced a larger unit for us and took care of all of the requirements to facilitate the change. This was of course over and above her normal duties. The rest of the staff at the facility were good, and there we have no complaints, but service like that which Maria provided is what would make me go out of my way to use that facility over others that may be closer.

The road in/out was never plowed. Deep groves of ice and snow for my small car to drive around. It did not appear ice melt was ever put down. Slippped and fell at one point. A very large truck was parked on the ramp on my move out and I asked if it could be removed. It was not. There never seemed to be enough staff and the wait times were always long, but kudos to the pleasant, hard working staff that do work there.

Kyrstyn and her staff are nothing short of amazing. She is dedicated, cheerful, considerate, and as are Justin and the rest. But what REALLY impressed me was Maria. Her demeanor and helpfullness were next level, to say the least. On the other hand, the call centre was average and could most definitely learn from Kyrstyn and her staff.

Although Mother Nature hit us, the staff was awesome and stood behind us, doing everything they could to rectify the problem. I would definitely recommend UHaul Trucking and Storage. The Retail section had absolutely everything, anyone would need to make their move the easiest and safest. Thank you for your great customer service.

Kirstyn Sperling Was very nice and polite , there was ice build up in the storage unit but she compensated me for it. The other staff were not so helpful witch I got a bit upset but other than that Kirstyn has great customer service and I would recommend her.

I had 2 units, 1 indoor and 1 outdoor, the outdoor I had more access as in later access. The indoor your only allowed till 5pm, which sucks when you have a lot of stuff. I moved in, in the fall, I moved out in Dec. 24 during a deep freeze. My outside unit was frozen shut, they did put ice melt on it, but it took over an hour for them to use a pick axe and open the door. My movers had to sit and wait. The prices differ between which uhaul you go to, seems individual owners set their own prices. I used west end edm, they were more reasonable than other locations. All and all, they are ok for storage, they are better than Sentinel storage.

We had reserved a unit a week prior and when we showed up they didn't have one available for us. The people were friendly but the layout is horrible.

A pipe in the ceiling leaked all over our patio cushions and stained them. One of the staff here (short, long brown hair, worked in the evening on October 21) was very rude. She did not have a good customer service attitude, we felt that when we went to the counter we were an annoyance or inconvenience to her. She did not explain things clearly.

I don't expect all experiences to be bad, but it was not good. They couldn't find my reservation so we had to do a new one. They were going to give me a smaller unit than I wanted. I was told before I got there that the 2nd floor was drive up and it was not. And it took about 45 minutes in the office to set this all up. And they made me buy a circular lock even though I had just bought a U-Haul key lock.

I've used u-haul a few times in the last few years, and the service and facility is clean and the customer service is friendly and helpful. What is needed are more carts, especially on busy days like the weekends, first and last days of the month.

I have worked with this Uhaul location in the past. Never had a problem or grievous. The young and older people are very helpful when asked with questions they can be useful with. There is a woman, a short large woman who makes not only customer's lives difficult but the employee's life as well. I believe she is a cancer to this site and to the company as a whole. It would be in your best interest to either re-route this person to a back seat position with zero personal influx of simply move this person out of the company fixture.

Unit was not ready and there was no lock in the unit as I was told there would be for check in. I spent an hour trying to find someone to aid me when finally the yard guy, Perry, was kind enough to grab a lock for me and get me set up after hours. However this should not have been the case. The building is full of broken glass and garbage everywhere. Not well maintained.

Unit we rented had water damage on my belongings this was indoor unit we didn't get anything done about the water damage that had, we did notify management. When I finally moved everything out the place smells moldy

10 years as a customer. Two break-ins despite a "secure" facility. Never any meaningful response or responsibility taken. Elevator down twice in business hours. Security cameras offline for months at a time, let alone blind spots. Floor waxed in business hours prohibiting access to some areas. Elevator and parking area always dirty. Many problems over the years with card access/failure. Number of handtrucks and handcarts reduced to maybe 1, 2 or 3 out of the original 8. Facility opened fine and then continually ran downhill over the years with no money spent to maintain or upgrade. I could not in good conscience recommend this facility to anyone.

My U-haul Storage rental unit #1203 was broken into at 2:00 am. Your staff member (Nicole?) called me, and said the breakin was captured on video. Within days, she changed her story 3 separte time: 1st she can't sshow me the video due to 'privacy'. Then, the video camers weren't working. Finally, she said their ARE no cameras. This is unacceptable. I tried to close the unit rental contral in 3 separate visits to your office. 1st the staff didn't help at all (Sat. morning, young man was clerk). 2nd visit, a female staff (same one that phoned about the breakin) gave me a form to sign reliquishing my claim on any property therein, and closing the rental term by removing my credit card no. from the account (Oct 27). Finally, I kept getting emails from yyour service telling me that the rental that I had already closed was 'overdue' and you we charging me late fees on a contract that was closed. This has been a miserable experince, in which I lost thousands of dollars in property, was lied to and disrepected throughout by your staff (wyo by the way NEVER annser the phone, nor can I leave a msg), and I wasted dozens of hours trying to deal with your company on what should have never happened, if you ran a safe and secure facility. This is actually probably the worst customer service I've ever experienced, next to skip the dishes. I had some fraud on my debit card, so I needed to change the card on file. I tried called U Haul for 3 weeks straight, nobody would answer the phone. The card was declined and I was charged a late fee. I decided to cancel the storage at that point. After I moved out, I STILL couldn't get ahold of anyone. They would immediately put me on hold and sometimes even hang up on me. This location is an absolute joke. I loathe going inside because they have 1 incompetent person working the counter for a lineup of 20 customers. Oh, and there is often employees just standing around doing nothing when it's super busy.
