Some of the staff were very good and others seemed almost confrontational. Also, I required equipment that was important for my move and which I reserved but none was available when I picked up the vehicle.

Very disappointing. This was my second rental within a week. I reserved the auto transport the night before at the south side location, got a call before going to pick up that it is not available and you will have to go to the west end location 30-40 mins away from me at last minute notice. Very inconvenient. Would not let me return to south side location for the inconvenience. As well as the loading ramps would not stay in the locked position when extended out. Car almost fell off the trailer while loading due to the ramps not locking in place. Tie down strap ratchets kept binding making it difficult to strap down. I needed to rent the trailer one more time later this week, but after renting it for the second time this week and having these issues when I paid full money for operational equipment is not justified. Very disappointed.

This was the worst U-Haul rental experience that I ever experienced! Firstly, the trailer was not available for pick up at the original location which required me to travel across town to pick it up and drop it off. This took a couple of extra hours and lots of driving. The person making the reservation didn't do it right, assuming that Im renting for 6 hrs not the entire 24 hour period. Issues continued at the 154 street location, since I originally wanted coverage for damages which was included on the original invoice. The representative assumed that I wanted to waive the coverage, even though I got charged for it! When I returned the trailer I was told that one of the tires is low and needs to be fixed and since I didn`t have coverage I would have to pay the cost of repairs! The total bill was therefore more than twice as much as my original invoice, which makes me question UHaul damage coverage practices. I will not recommend the 154 street location to any customers especially the way they deal with damages.

I actually wanted 1 way move. Unable to accommodate had to rent trailer for 1 week. Customer service at front desk when renting was poor. Customer service when picking up dripping off. You need more than 1 person in yard they were swamped. CBT give good service when swamped

Only issue was getting through to customer service representative on the phone - in some cases I spent a fair bit of time on hold before I could get to talk to them (20+ minutes) Otherwise was very happy with experience. Was able to extend my usage of the rental with ease without coming back to the storefront which was very convenient

The day before my scheduled pick up, I got a call saying that my equipment changed from a 12x6 to a 8x5 and my pick up went from the 50th st location to 17th street location. This was unacceptable as I had booked two months prior to my reservation date and the size of trailer was significant. After a very difficult phone call with uhaul where I was offered and open (not enclosed) trailer, and told a few times there wasnt anything they could do, I had my original order back: a 12x6 at 50th street and my same pick up time. The following morning, as I drove up to the uhaul location, I thought to double check the location as I didnt get a confirmation regarding my reservation. Turns out, pick was at the other end of the city! I dont mind a change of pick up location as long as I've been told since my whole morning was timed to pick up the equipment on time. Now we were running late. When we got to the location the cashier and person who took us to the trailer were snarky and full of attitude. Yes they got the job done but comments like "why are you making me do an RV first thing in the morning" were not necessary. Moving is a long and stressful day and the very basic of not being difficult to work with in a customer service position is expected.

The staff at this location were not very friendly. Seemed liked they hated dealing with customers. In providing instructions on returning the equipment the clerk was very vague which resulted in me going back to this location twice at 11:30 pm...not to happy. Very disappointed.

Most awful experience to date and I have rented many times in my name and with others.. worst experience to date. I don't often visit Uhaul, in part because the experience is consistently disappointing. Today we booked a quick pickup, which then took nearly half an hour in store to process. The frustration is that staff didn't even acknowledge any customers except the one they were working with at the time. I felt that I was invisible. Once I got my turn, the associate was pleasant and polite, but didn't seem to know much about the trucks. My experience with the return was equally frustrating - staff simply left the room without greeting customers or giving expectations of how long the wait might be. I spent more than 15 minutes in the storefront without being greeted or acknowledged. For much of that time, I was alone - no staff and no other customers. When finally offered help, the process was easy and took less than 2 minutes. The vehicle was fine, and once I spoke to attendants, the service was fine. To make the experience less horrible, staff could take a second to greet customers and give some hint that help will be coming.

The trailer I used was broken. It almost dragged me backwards. I think there was an issue with the automatic braking system. I used more fuel pulling that empty 6x12 than I did a 7000 lbs trailer. When I told the employee when I returned it he had the attitude of “oh well that sucks”
