Storage situation was fine even tho they did not add my automatic payment multiple times and tried to fine me late fees even after I called multiple times to set up automatic payment. Unit was fine but some rats got into my stuff and pooped on my stuff.

I made my reservation online thinking it would make my pick up more convenient and faster because it automatically assigns you a truck and you check in on your phone upon arrival then find your truck and the keys inside the truck and you'll be on your way, EASY!! This is how the online reservation and pick up is supposed to work, I've done it before. For whatever reason today's reservation went completely different.THE COMPLETE OPPOSITE !! IT WAS SUPER ANNOYING AND FRUSTRATING!! First of all, I was not fairly treated and customer service was horrible. Upon my arrival, I checked in on my phone, as your supposed to do, and I went to the truck the app had automatically assigned me to but there was a man sitting in my truck. I showed the man on my phone that the truck had been assigned to me and he didn't want to give me the key. So we went into the store and when I showed the manager my reservation he looked at the other person and told him it's ok him you go ahead. I was so confused and told him how are you giving him my truck when your system assigned it to me first. I've never felt so taken advantage of. Like I said the point of doing the reservation online is to avoid waiting time. I then had to wait for another truck to be available and that took about 1/2 an hour of my time. I called CSR headquarters and I was told that if I got another truck what is the problem. Like seriously?? She obviously was not familiar with how the online reservation link works. Your online rental app is pointless if when you get to the store your truck was assigned to someone else and the customer still has to go into the store and wait in line for a truck. THAT'S THE PROBLEM!! I was not fairly treated by the staff nor the CSR Rep. I'm waiting for a call from senior management, this was horrible customer service and I should be compensated. And the staff needs more training on CSR skills on how to deal with system glitches.

I used a 15ft truck. It was easy to get use to driving and was just the right amount of space to move all my stuff. The staff were friendly and quick.

There was confusion with the employee regarding the rental. I had reserved equipment on-line for pickup in Harrisburg PA (29th St location), but when I arrived it was not available. I was told I would receive a $50 credit and could pick up the trailer in York, 40 minutes away. Although I had been told the York office was being informed of the situation, when I got there, they complained they were not adequately informed. Staff was surly. I suggest staff would do better to not complain to the customer about an internal misunderstanding, and also to remain courteous to customers. I was more disturbed by the interaction with staff in York than the fact that I had to drive an extra 40 minutes each way to pick up the equipment.

We traveled in this box truck for a few miles over 2811 from Arizona to York PA in 4 days. Had to put in approximately $1400 in gas. I cleaned this truck out with armor all, Lysol and cleaned the floor. Once we dropped off the truck it was not good enough. We were 2.3 gallons SHORT of gas, had to take the truck to the gas station that was located next door to the Uhaul place and put $6.00 of gas (2.3 gallons) and got charged for going over the mileage. My starting mileage was 21140.3 and they say my ending mileage was 23963.8. Which they probably tacked on the miles to get the 2.3 gallons of gas. We were NOT 12 miles over mileage. AND still got charged for mileage. This was the first WORST experience with UHaul. We have dealt with this location for over 20 years and installing hitches, purchasing bike racks, etc. We will not use this location in the future for anything.. Our experience crossing the country was a great experience and then to be nickeled and dimed was frustrating to say the least.

I did not have a reservation, but I did call ahead to check on availability of truck I needed. I estimated I would need truck until 2 pm and would drive 30 miles. I ended up having vehicle back at 11:35 am and drove 22 miles. I used truck a little over 2 hours, swept out back of vehicle and asked for a senior or veterans discount. The manager was in the office when I asked his employee about a discount. He didn’t ‘t say anything, just smiled. I have a lot of friends and customers. I am a PGA Professional. I would not recommend a company that does not recognize seniors or veterans. I will look for another company in the future when I need to lease a truck.

The truck was a little bang up. I had used your moving help .com site.QRC movers out of Harrisburg didn't show up for the job. I suggest strongly that you remove this company from your list. They are unprofessional, unreliable and I would never recommend QRC movers to anyone. Other than that U haul was great.

I was vary unhappy with the end price it was 80$ more than expected. Charged for 2 days and didn't even have 12 hours. Called and was told everything would be fine as long as the truck was back before the store open.

Truck I rented had been smoked in. I smelled the cigarette smell the whole drive I had the truck. I should have went back in the center and requested another truck (there were others of the same size there).

For the first time in 3 years, I received the worst customer service experience with a rental at this location. The equipment was filthy inside and out. When the agent was notified about the situation, he proceeded to give the inside of the equipment a quick wipe out, an wiped the windows with a squeegee which left them horribly streaked. Despite having 2 other perfectly cleaned vans parked right next to the the dirty van, which was also pointed out to the representative. Left me wondering if that is the kind of service all customers receive, or if I was "special" for a reason!!!

Have rep walk around the Truck to inspect for damage with customer like the rental car places do. Also I was charged .99 per mile. I checked the website at same time and it said .79 per mile.

Called when I was charged an unauthorized $20 fee plus tax, $21.60 for an after hours drop off. I was never advised of the fee and was told by the representative on Roosevelt Ave when I called that they could not waive the fee and the manger would call back, it never happened. Thanks a lot Uhaul. I’ll never rent again.

Jacob Cliggett was extremely rude and mean to both my wife and I. We were told we would not have to pay for the 2nd day rental fees that were paid for the furniture dolly, appliance dolly and furniture pads, and Jacob charged us for 2 days. Jacob was very aggressive to me and we were shocked when we learned that he was a General Manager. The day we picked up the truck, I was totally disrespected by a woman wearing dark glasses. Yet when several Caucasians came in she greeted them very kind. We would never recommend this location, 1104 Roosevelt Avenue, York, PA 17404 to anyone. We are Christians and we love everybody. But what we experienced was truly major prejudice.

I reserved it on the 22nd but yet I didn’t receive an email until the day before telling me they changed the location of my pickup. My husband called and they said we could change the date. I can’t change a date when our move date was already set.

I saw an extra charge a few days after for $24.75 and called and was told that it is a Visa error even thought it shows U-haul York charging me and was told to "call my bank about this error" even though my bank had nothing to do with it. Even thought it's not a lot of money it leaves a bad taste in my mouth

I was behind 2 other returns and the back of my truck was sitting out in the street.

We rented truck, when we were packing up pil.light came one, when checking oil it was so.low it had no oil on dip stick, we had to put 4 quarts of oil in it, we kept our receipt, asked for reimbursement from location when we turned truck in they said they would not reimburse us for the oil that we purchased to keep the truck from running on no oil. Terrible customer service, and the fact that they dont check the oil in the trucks before renting is very poor, would not use again or recommended to anyone.

Tried to rent a 6x12 enclosed trailer in the Hanover, PA area. None were available. There are 4 locations in Hanover and none had the equipment needed. This forced me to drive 40 minutes away to York to get the equipment. Wasn’t bad for picking up but after the move we were exhausted and having to drive the extra 80 minutes to return the trailer was a bummer. I didn’t want to pay the additional $55 to return in Hanover. Location in York was excellent. Trailer was ready. Staff was courteous. Just wished I could have rented the trailer in town.

When renting a truck, it would be nice if tie-down twine was included. It's cheap and effective and always helpful.

The app has already been improved greatly, which is awesome because it only took a few minutes to return my truck after hours through the app this time instead of over an hour like last time. That said the truck I rented this time was severely out of alignment to the point where the steering wheel had to be turned about 1/4 of the way to keep the truck driving straight. It didn't seem to run properly either. It would start up with no problem, but the RPMs would rev higher than they should at times when they shouldn't, for example while I was decelerating or coasting to a stop. Those are my only complaints though. Otherwise I was very happy with my experience and that the truck didn't guzzle gas, it was actually pretty fuel efficient.

The problem I had was with the after hour mobile check in. I created an account and sat for 10minutes trying to get it to work. It wouldn’t recognize my location..... I’m calling because I don’t want to be charged because the app didn’t work..... it’s not a great location to be sitting after dark,, trying to get an app to work
