checking in was great, attendant was efficient and friendly. Return was awkward. I handed in the keys, she said nothing until I turned to leave thinking I was done. Then she asked about filling up the tank (which I thought was part of the mileage cost), then thought we were done again, and she calls me back to ask about folding the blankets. I had a expensive equipment that I left in the vehicle. I called the store numerous of times and no one answered. I went to the store itself and the manager stated that the vehicle was out on rental. I reviewed my contact with the vehicle's information and the vehicle is in the side of the store. The piece of equipment is not where I left it and the manager is clueless.Jeffrey M.
I'm giving one star because when I showed up for a vehicle (without a reservation) I was told that all the cargo vans and pickup trucks were booked and that I should go to a different location. That seemed strange because there were lots of vehicles on the lot so I went online to check and I was able to make a reservation. I felt lied to and the whole rental process took much longer than it should have.Walter P.

Flat tire on I-85 resulted in a dangerous situation which could have easily turned very very bad. The tires were in very poor condition with treads worn off and cuts in the tire. A truck with those tires should never have been rented out by this location.AMEET P.

While dropping of the vehicle, the store was closed but the parking lot was completely full and it was almost impossible to access the parking lot and ist was impossible to park the vehicle at a designated area. Without additional help I would have not been able to park the vehicle.JONATHAN V.

The people who work at the Brookline route 9 stare are nice and try. They are (Overall). woefully overworked and undertrained. One example: There is one person there and a line of about 9 people. Another example: There are two people there, one very busy getting the trucks lined up and the other manning the register and having no access to taking case, or another person who can take cash but has no idea how to modify a reservation. The whole thing is pretty much a disaster and the people working there are able to understand this and simply give out wrong information or inaccurate billing just to keep the customers happy. A rate the location below average only because most Uhal locations are run this way.STEVEN H.

The drivers and passenger's side of the cabin had a leak; not just a "leak" -- when it started to rain, the water poured into the cabin like a river. Both of us ended up sitting in water for a six hour drive. As the rain got heavier, so did the river of water that poured into the cabin. We have video if you care to see it.ROBERT L O.

The staff tried hard and new their jobs.They were working hard when we arrived to pick up the van. But they were understaffed, only 2 people, and one had come from another store. The equipment itself was very new and ready to go.STEVEN H.

the rental vehicle itself and the process of renting was fine except for one point when U Haul representative used unethical tactics trying to sell insurance to the customer who was already insured through a personal automobile policy. U Haul representative attempted to raise doubt in the customer's mind by stating that the rented vehicle has commercial license plates. The customer had to spend extra time during that day contacting the insurance company and receiving a response that "the tags on the vehicle do not affect the coverages".ALEXEI S.

I arrived 1hr early to get my rental and emily made me come back at 1pm. I asked her why when there were tons of trucks outside. She said they were for one way trips. When I cam back, I was given one of the trucks that have been there earlier. Makes no sense and it was really unprofessional service.CHRISTIAN A.

I placed my reservation at Diamond Discount Automotive in Waltham and they did not have the 15 foot truck only vans. Ricardo worker at Dimond Discount was amazing and called multiple locations to try to find me a 15 foot truck and Ken from Uhal in Brookline had a 15 foot truck and was amazing and really helpful! Uhal please confirm with the location that they have the right trucks prior to customers picking up the trucks.Alyssa R.

I have always had a good experience at this location. This time it was the worst experience. The manager on duty was rude to start with, not paying attention to only customer (me) in the line. While I was driving the truck, I noticed the passenger side mirror was loose and not staying in adjusted position. I brought the truck back and notified the lady manager about the issue with the mirror, she checked it and took it out and threw it on the passenger seat. I explained the issue to her and her sarcastic reply was "yeah, yeah, I have heard it before"....I will never recommend or rent from this location ever. On top of all this I noticed, I was charged for fuel (8 $.xx) plus the 30 $service fees whereas I returned the truck with over the required fuel level. I will call the corporate office to get these extra charges revert. I AM NOT A HAPPY CUSTOMER.JAMSHED K.

I rented a truck this morning (6/12) and had a great experience with the staff. Upon dropping off, the location was totally slammed. There was a family there, new to the country, and the staff person (I neglected to get their name) handled the transaction and anxiety very well. I have to say -- I was particularly rude, and I shouldn't have been. I was impatient and dismissive when the employee on the clock was trying their best to help me AT THE SAME TIME they were assisting this family who I'm sure we're not easy to deal with. Even with me being rude and basically walking away when the employee was trying to ask me questions... They still wished me a good day. So first -- I'm sorry for adding stress to an already stressful situation. Second -- I'm grateful the staff was trying to help me, even with how busy they were, and third -- I'm impressed by this particular person's ability to keep their cool with the amount of stress they were under. Pick up Thurs 6/3 went fine. The vehicle was fine. Drop off on Sat 6/5 was not fine - the manager behind the counter was very rude and dismissive - she was almost intimidating in the way she just shut me down regarding concerns I had on pricing. I'm not one to complain but I can't recall having such a poor customer service experience anywhere is a long time.MICHAEL K.
