I was charged a bogus $25 cleaning fee. The truck was returned in the same exact condition and level of cleanliness as when I'd picked it up. This charge was never explained to me at any point during the rental process. Very frustrating.

The first employee I walked up to, sitting at a desk and seemingly not working as I saw no evidence of her using a keyboard, phone, or pen, tossed her head toward her male colleague and said “He’ll get you.” “He”, who’s name I recall according to his name tag but will not include here, seemed sulky, had little to say, didn’t ask if everything was OK with the rental or if I had any problems, disconnected the trailer, and said “You’re good to go”. He seemed annoyed that I asked for some paperwork to show I had returned the equipment, but went about his business to provide it. Never a “Thank you”, “Come back”, or any other conversational pleasantries or show of appreciation as a customer. If I had any reason to be a repeat customer in the Boston area, I would drive out of my way to find another location.

We moved literally six miles away from our previous address and are being way over charged for milage we did not accrue. It is probable that the company did not accurately record our initial mileage or that they failed to charge or calculate the mileage of the people who rented before us. Either way, we have been trying to refute the mileage discrepancy and have had a very difficult time in the process.

I thought everyone was polite and efficient. The cargo van was clean and ran great. The only issue was the power was out during checkout, and that slowed everything, but the web and cell phones saved the day. I have always used U-Haul and would recommend it.

My only trouble was being charged for coverage that I didn't request. When u called in, the representative kindly took care of removing it. I did also request a supervisor representative call back, because we rented one of two dollies unnecessarily, but I haven't received one yet.

Mr. Corbeil and his team made my moving experience much easier. They were a great help, and I will recommend others to use the facility.

The staff member initially helping us was quite frankly useless. He entered all of our information into the system and then said the system wasn't allowing him to charge us because it would either say there weren't trucks available which there were or would come up with the incorrect amount. Once he realized this after playing around with the computer system and even calling his manager he still wasn't able to fix the problem and offered no solution. When we asked him what was best to do, he said that we should get out of line and download the app to try to reserve a truck ourselves online. That didn't work. We needed to wait for the manager to come into the store. Since the employee we were first dealing with didn't tell the manager what was going on, the trouble we were having reserving a vehicle, and the long amount of time we had waited, we had to continue waiting for the manager two help to other customers who arrived after us. The manager was able to resolve the issue and give us a truck so we could move on with our day. The lack of service we received from the first employee was truly disappointing. I haven't dealt with that level of incompetence in a while. Additionally, the after closing hours check out process was ridiculous. Having to share my location and take pictures of the van on my personal cell phone was unnecessary and too much to ask of a customer especially after receiving poor service. When we were dropping the van off, we also encountered a man wandering around the parking lot. Turns out he was told by an employee of this location that he would be able to pick up a vehicle at that time. It was after their business hours but I have no doubt that the person who told him that was the same inept employee that failed to help us.

The van smelled a little off, and had two very slight leaks when driving through rain. The Route 9 location in Brookline was great - pickup and dropoff were easy. The online UHaul return site did not function properly.

Pricing was ridiculous: I replaced $12 in gas to drive 21.5 miles in this truck, and the mileage charge at $1.89 was way too high. I would work hard to try and find a better pricing option when I next rent.

The staff was very helpful and I was thankful to be able to use a UHaul for my move. However, the van I rented smelled like animal urine and had animal hair in it. It was not clean and I was worried some of my things would absorb the smell.

Dixon Mason, the on-site manager on Sunday July 29th deserves the highest praise. There were complications with my reservation at a different site and he figured out a way to help me despite being overwhelmingly busy. I cannot say enough of how thankful I am for him and what he did for me. Please see to it that he gets some type of recognition asap.

Trucks/Vans and trailers were packed in the entrance when I returned my U-hual van. I had to detour (through exit, took me a while to figure that out) to get into the parking lot which was almost empty.
