Asked the girl at the desk for a particular truck that was shown on the website since the night before and was told it wasn't available. Double checked the website and saw it was still available so went back and talked to one of the guys, quickly looked out on the lot and confirmed it was available. Some staff seemed incompetent. After finally receiving the truck. I was disappointed to see that the truck was given to me with an empty tank.

Gentleman at the counter was great. He was very helpful and professional. The gentleman who hooked up my trailer was great. Spotted an issue with the lights on the trailer. He got me swapped into a different trailer and got me on my way as quick as possible. Will definitely be back.

Upon getting the trailer i opened it at hone to load it and the door got stuck open for over a day and a half i couldnt drive with it back to the location but eventually got it open and i showed the guy when i dropped it off the video of it and how it wasnt the first time because there was an x already on the trailer.

The uhaul rental location that I went to pick up at CB Liquidations (had a Resevations at 7 am) was not open so had to go to the spruce location. Uhaul should eliminate all these neighborhoods dealers that are unreliable

The guys out at the yard have an attitude, but more so than that, when one of them hooked up the trailer to my Pickup Truck, he plugged the electrical in to my outlet without wrapping it to the secure chain , or some place equivalent . As a result, the electrical dragged on the ground , rubbed apart, separated , and left me without trailer lights. I had to go to a trailer supply place and purchase an electrical section. Online interface is horrible. I spent valuable time doing pre-check, payment, etc. and then had to do everything over again at store. Store service is extremely slow. A 10:30 reservation time means you may possibly be out of there by 11:30. That's terrible. Couldn't run card payment even though nothing was wrong with card AND had already run everything pre-check in.

When I arrived attendant was on phone with another customer. After he hung up I still had to wait because he was still trying to figure something out on computer, he told me it would be a little while. 10 minutes later he summoned someone over the radio to come help me out.

I stood in a check-in line for 90 minutes to pickup a truck I had a reservation for. I should have known better the same thing happen to me in June at this location. The employees seem rather nasty with customers, snapping at them when they complained that they had reservations yet were having to wait. I was told when I finally got to the counter that they didn't have a truck for me that all their equipment had been reserved for over a week. I told them I had placed a reservation the day before and it was confirmed. They said that was corporate and they were wrong. Also, please take your cell phone with you or they won't rent to you. After waiting in line for that 90 minutes I was told they needed to send me a text and I had to show it to them. I explained that I had left my phone at home and my wife had dropped me off. I was told over and over they could not rent to me. I explained that I had recently rented from them. Finally the owner said give him the truck. I'm grateful that he did but I'll never go back there.

It really put a dent in my day and planning that Uhaul decided the night before, after closing hours, that the truck I had on reservation was no longer available and I was forced to rush frantically the next morning to find an open Uhaul that had the truck we needed. I am not sure if I would use them again, but the Spruce location team was amazing!

The staff at this location is poorly organized and disrespectful to customers. I spent 30 minutes waiting in line to pick up a pre-reserved cargo van. Other people in line were denied service because their reserved trucks were not available. The employee proceeded to tell the customer that it was other people's fault that the truck wasn't available and refused to give another truck in it's place (which was available, but reserved). Employees were either absent or neglectful, as the huge line of customers was only being handled by one employee, until finally someone else showed up. By the time I got my van, it was 30 min into my reservation time, which thankfully was extended. When I asked an employee if we would be compensated for the time expended in line (during our reservation period), the employee told us to "calm down and cool off". Another employee asked me why I was so mad, and I couldn't even respond. U-Haul needs to be very specific and warn customers that they need to arrive at least 30 min PRIOR to their reservation, in order to get out on time. I know this is an unreasonable request, because I previously used a van at another U-Haul location in Moreno Valley, where the service was excellent. Overall, the whole experience at this U-Haul location was stressful and made me want to never use U-Haul again. If anything, I'd AT LEAST expect a complete refund for my rental, for me to consider ever using U-Haul again. I hope this review is helpful to overhaul your Riverside location, it's terrible.

Extreamly slow , staff of young kids who like their cell phones. Paid rental rate and purchased insurance , mileage charge high . Truck rented 19.95 per day , insurance 14.00 which is 33.95 traveled about 24 miles total cost 63 dollars and change . Had reservation , still had to fill out forms , and provide two contacts with address and phone number.....YOU HAVE TO BE KIDDING ME ! AIR BAG WARNING , BLOCKED THE MILAGE INDICATOR , KEPT REPEATING SERVICE NOW .

The location and the truck were fine once I finally got it. As far as service goes, Uhaul sucks, and this will be the last time I ever use it. This was the 3rd time this year that we've had to rent a Uhaul, and all 3 times, either the truck wasn't ready at the time or the location promised, or it was rented to someone else. The 1st time we rented this year we were scheduled to pick up a truck at the location at opening time. We were there a half hour before opening. We waited in line for almost an hour. When we finally got up to the counter we were told the truck was rented to someone else because we weren't there at the time it was reserved for. We were there for a fucking hour in that ridiculous line. They told us we could come back at 1:00 to pick one up for an additional$50.00 to hold it for us. Are you fucking kidding me! This time I called 3 times in the days leading up to my pickup date to confirm it would be there. I was promised that it would be. Then when I went to pick it up, of course it wasn't there. Then Uhaul had the balls to tell me they'd hold one for me 30 miles away for an additional $50.00. Unfuckingbelievable!! I had to do the actual search, since Uhauls shitty service can't figure anything out, but ended up finding one closer, but it was still a 2 hour round trip that cost me time and extra money for gas. Similar situations 3 times in 1 year. This last one was the last time it happens. Unless I can get a refund for your Shit service, you've lost a customer for life. I'm going to need to rent again in the near future, but I'll go with someone else even if I have to pay more for it. I'll never recommend Uhaul to anyone. If you want to know how to help customers, maybe keep your fucking promises and have the equipment at the time and location that you promised. Have a day.

Firs of all, I reserved a 26' truck 0n 9/28 with a confirmation and statement saying someone would call me on 9/29 to verify order. Call did not come until the afternoon of 10/2. I was told no 26' trucks available at any local location. Just a 20' truck 12 miles from where I requested. Poor communications Also, Your mobile app pick up process is terrible. The need to take a selfie, a pic of the front and back of DL should be done prior to pickup time. The need to have a second contact and have them answer a phone call from an out of state number is ludicrous. If you need secondary ID just ask for it up front. You still have to go inside to get your key which defeats the no contact model. Then I was given a truck with almost no fuel. I had to stop at first fuel station to even make it to my destination. Not a very good customer service model. I did get a fuel credit upon check in. But a real sour taste left in uhaul customer service. This was my first time using uhaul in many years and I hope it is my last time in many years to come.

It's not the store fault, but UHaul has a stupid computer system for a reservation that doesn't clear the customer's account prior to finalizing the reservation. I made a reservation for 3 days at least 2 weeks ahead of time. On day of coming in to get the truck, I gave my credit card and it was flagged by U-Haul insurance company. After several hours of wrangling with insurance company, it was found that the 4 year old claim should have been removed.

1)My husbands card was charged twice, when he tried to call and rectify it, he was placed on hold for 2 hours, we ultimately had to cancel his card. 2.) when we received the truck, our paperwork said the truck was on full & to bring it back on full, it in fact was not on full, we again had to go back to the uhaul because no one would answer the phone 3) when I called for general information no one would answer the phone. 4) when we were waiting for our truck we had to wait a long time because everyone was confused about which truck was ours

I had an appointment at 12:15 pm. It took over an hour to get a vehicle after having to continually ask. The CS representative seems interested or acting as though she had work while I waited right in front of her for nearly 20-30 mins while a long line formed right behind me. It was the worst experience ever at Uhaul.

Unfortunately we had a bad experience during the reservation process that we did at the Van Buren location. I made a reservation on Tuesday for a 20' truck & then did not hear from anyone until Friday night at 7pm that they had no trucks & I would have to downsize to a 12'x6' trailer & 10' truck to pull it. I am not sure why they waited until the last minute to call us to tell us they had no trucks available. Also, on Saturday when we went to pick up the truck & trailer they only had 1 person assisting the line of customers so it took us 55 minutes to get the truck & trailer.

I rented a motorcycle trailer, 9/26/2020, Discovered, almost undetectable and transparent, a couple streams of engine oil in the grooves of the trailer bed from, I assume, a motorcycle (s). Upon loading my motorcycle the oil was within the path of my front motorcycle tire! Could have been disastrous on the race track had we not noticed it!? Upon receiving your "checklist" via text. I asked your customer rep. if I could go over the condition of the rental he said I didn't need to check over the trailer and it was ready to go?? First time, after yrs. of renting your motorcycle trailers have I ever been told that! First time for me at this Spruce St. location. But, I should have known better🤷 Overall, U-haul is my go to. the 6' by 12' open trailer I rented has had a broken ramp spring. I told the yard person about it. It has been broken for some time now The ramp is heavy and needs the spring repaired. but no one will follow up this.

Girl doing ALL THE WORK was efficient and courteous - outside worker was courteous and VERY helpful.............staff is wonderful, just need more of them!!!!

Greet customers when returning equipment promptly. I waited for several minutes before anyone showed up to check me in. Person that checked in my return didn't say a word for the first few minutes. He complained to someone over a radio that he had several pieces of equipment to check in, but there were no other customers visible to me, yet there were 4 vehicles unattended that just sat there the whole time I was waiting to return the equipment (about 7-10 minutes). Incidentally the return equipment line got long and blocked in customer cars that were parked.

I will be filing a dispute because I was told that if I turned the truck in a day early, I would receive a credit. After speaking with Dave at the Spruce St., Riverside location, that I was mid-informed because it was a one way truck. I had also been told that I would receive a refund if turned in early from the Eastvale location, because I was trying to decide whether or not to return the truck or select the one-way. Since there were no 15' trucks in Eastvale, I was forced to go quite a distance out of my way just to get the truck and was assured I would get a credit if I was able to return early. Other than that, I have always done business with uhaul and if I ever need to use the service. fully plan to.

Honestly the staff couldn’t have been nicer & the manager Ed is wonderful. He painstakingly worked on releasing my car from the car towing device longer than he should’ve had to, as the chain didn’t have much slack. He is clearly dedicated to his position there at U-Haul = pleasant, courteous & professional. As he was walking in front of me to unlock the U-Haul lock off my storage unit…I noticed Ed reaching down and pulling out a weed. I was impressed. Thank you for everything.
