Although nice to customers, moral seems to be very low. I set up my rental twice before my pickup date, yet on the pick up date, I STILL had to do computer and paperwork all over again. Also, the worst part was, AFTER I picked up the trailer, UHaul called and said I COULD NOT DROP OFF MY TRAILER AT MY PRE-AGREED LOCATION. I was required to endure a 2hr round trip to drop off the trailer at a different location, not cool. I asked for a discount and they first offered $50 and then later offered $100 - but said this could be weeks down the road because of computer entry etc. Not sure if I ever will get that discount. Equipment was great, but for such a large company, I'm disappointed with their promises and contract fulfillment.

Brianna was super helpful, Riverside did not have a trailer available but she went out of her way to find me a trailer in Oceanside. The shop was very busy & there were some very rude angry customers but she stayed calm and professional. Great customer service.

Seemed like manager is just as lazy as the other employees. Standing around waiting for him and another employee called him on radio he said he will be right in. And then I see him walk by the door outside walking around parking lot. Then 5 min later he comes in and goes to there break room then to the bathroom so the girl at counter once done with her customer came over and finished my reservation.

The reason for the poor rate is due to the requirements of having 2 phone references and photo of license before preceding with the rental. This new policy slowed down U-Haul's efficiency that caused a long line and up to 1 hour wait time before getting rental. Will use a moving company instead that does not require such references.

The vehicle worked as advertised, but the customer service was well below average. When checking out the vehicle, the rep could not get in to certain areas on the computer, so I was bounced between two reps. They were nice, but the process was time consuming, and many errors in processing occurred. The new rep made the mistake of coding it as a one way rental, and then could not figure out how to fix it. One extremely ridiculous “policy” I encountered was the need to have TWO people/witnesses be called to confirm I wanted to Rent a Uhaul. I have rented vehicles around the world , bought homes, and made large financial transactions, and none of them required the rep to call two separate individuals to confirm my existence. This is simply a stupid policy. Also, during the checkout, I asked If iI needed to do anything special for returning the blankets. The young rep said I can just keep them. I asked if he was certain, as I was about to purchase two for storage. He said no need to buy them, as I already ordered 6. On return of the vehicle, I was asked where were the blankets? I told him the story I was told, and he said he would have to talk with the manager. The manager said I needed to return the blankets, or pay for them. I told him the story again, and told him the young rep did not seem to know what he was doing. The manager did not believe my story. I take people for their word, he obviously does not. In the end, I decided it was too big of a hassle to return, do I agreed to just pay $42 for the pads. Once again, the rep was unable to figure out how to process it in the computer, and did not have permissions to access needed areas on the computer. All in all, the process took close to 45 minutes. I have another family move in the near future, and was planning to use Uhaul, but this experience was so bad, I will be considering other companies

Well when I rented the truck I paid 20 miles when I noticed I wasn’t able to return the truck I called and I was told I wasn’t gonna get charged again within 24 hours of my rental ... I was only gonna pay only the miles I drive then truck and was charged rental twice plus 100 miles I didn’t drive the truck

I made a reservation in person 3 days prior for a 26 ft u Hall. When I arrived to pick up my truck I was told that it was given to a family who was driving out of state earlier because someone had stolen the gas from 2 trucks the night before .I got there on time and ended with a 20 ft u hall for the same price not even a discount . And instead Of the the truck being return the next day at 1 Pm I had only until 7 am the next morning. Because someone else has scheduled it for Saturday morning I Honor the request because I didn’t want the next person to go through what I had gone through the day before but had to hired 2 extra people to help us move in order to finish moving and return the truck on time . Unfortunately the 20 ft truck was not enough space for my furniture and I ended up renting another truck the next morning 10” U hall to finish moving I ended up spending 500 for the extra people and 186 to rent the extra truck to finish the job if u Hall had honored the reservation there wouldn’t have to spend the extra money, I had to barrow 700 dllrs. I also rented a package of blankets and an appliance dolly which they charge me for it and they failed to put it in the truck I had to stop at a u hall location in Riverside off Vanbureum to pick it up. My experience with u hall made my move so stressful and costly. C

My reservation got switched to this location from Moreno Valley. The line was super long and it took me over an hour to get the uhual. The uhual was very rough on the road and I honestly felt unsafe because it seemed like the alignment was off and something was going on with the shocks. We had to move our stuff from Moreno Valley to Fontana and that was the most uncomfortable ride in the world. It made me never want to rent with uhual again because of the long lines and raggedy equipment.

Went to turn in rental at 5:15 per my contract, got there at 4:50 was told they were closed and had to check in online.i was escorted out of the building, tried to do it online but wasn’t able to do it. Asked a gentleman for help told me I have to figure it out not his problem he had a long day and they were closed. Horrible attitude and customer service. Was never told about after hours procedure and assumed since the contract said 5:15 it would be fine. I was so disappointed with the service and will not ever rent from there again.

I reserved a trailer & appliance dolly for a 9 am pick up. I waited over an hour to get my equipment despite the reservation. What up UHaul management, Why is your process so horrible. You require two references and you take a picture of my drivers licence. What happens with my personal info after I return the equipment? Once I got to the counter, staff were excellent, Brianna got me out in about 10 minutes. Unfortunately I observed her get grilled over by no less than three nasty customers who were impatient. She remained calm and professional despite their disrespectful comments to her and the other staff. UHaul you have good employees but your process sucks. I will think long and hard before returning to his location.

1. When I called to confirm my reservation they told me 8am and I did not state that. And when I asked if I can come little later they stayed no, I must be there at 8am. So I drove all the way from Burbank (around 60 miles) and arrived at 8am to the uhaul location where I found it to be closed and open at 9am. When I saw and employee there I asked about my reservation at 8, and all he said was ‘we open at 9 bro’ then for the next hour I waited in front of their store and soon met two other people with reservations before 9... 2. Next issue: doors open at 9 and the man helping me was great at first but provides terrible information, I’m doing a one way drop off to a new apartment and he asks for the address and tells me the ‘closest’ drop off location... this was 20 miles away... I found closer ones later on, and it was closed that day... he failed to even tell me any of that. 3. When we finished unloading and wanted to drop off the uhaul, we drove all the way to the drop off location and found it was closed, then I tried to contact the location and was put on held for 20-30 minutes, and uhaul phone lines weren’t helpful at all, in the end they just said follow the instructions online... and when I called a different location, she said just park it somewhere and leave the keys somewhere... I called many different uhauls in the area until one 3rd party provided a ‘field manager ‘ (not sure what they do) but he was the most helpful, he arranged for another drop off (he was great, but everyone else sucked) later when we arrived to drop off the truck the place wasn’t prepared (more in other section) I’m very unhappy and you can look forward to a letter and poor reviews.

They made moving a real inconvenience at this location everyone in line was upset about the wait to get a u-haul and once you get to the people at the desk they make renting a u-haul an inconvenience after you been waiting in line for almost a hour and then they want 2 reference numbers and also to take a picture of the front and back of your government id with there cell phones which makes you feel unsecure because they have your personal information on a cell phone

It was EXTREMELY busy when we went so we waited over 45 minutes in order to get our reservation even with the express check -in. I was pretty upset but staff was incredibly kind, understanding, professional, and helpful. Super friendly as well and always willing to lend a hand. This is my second time here and I do recommend, I just wish they had more people at the front desk especially during weekends.

I rented a truck, and when I got to the Uhaul 1834 Spruce St, Riverside location,I was required to take a picture on site and two of my acquaintances were called early in the morning as references. I was not informed in advance that this would be required. When I asked why this was necessary, I was told many trucks were regularly stolen and this was the reason for this procedure. I have not experienced this level of scrutiny and distrust from other truck rental companies, and I will try to avoid UHAUL as much as possible in the future because of this experience.
