I filled the gas tank all the way not realizing that it was not full when I rented the truck. It was never mentioned or explained the gas level status. Agent said there was nothing he could do. Did not suggest who could help. Went over on mileage and ask if he could make some type of adjustment. I filled the tank more than 2/3 more than I needed to and all they could say was that I was out of luck.

The reason for a poor rating corporate has done. The facility is just fine and the workers there they are awesome especially Sam and her whole crew but the problem that I see and why I gave a poor rating is because of the outer doors when you have to check in with your code they automatically open and well I don't think it's very safe I don't think it's very feasible to have the doors open to anybody the reason I went to this facility is because of the gate code needed to get into the building. Now I pray  that the doors will go back to the way they were and that is locked at all times. Anyone can walk into the building meaning my things are not safe. Thank u and God bless Sam Hansen and her whole crew they work so hard to keep that facility running smooth. And God bless Bob  too. They all deserve a raise this crew has earned it.

I was charged 30 more dollars then what I was quoted because of an error of one of your employees. When I was asked to honor the agreement that I signed I was met with attitude and rude costumer service. I feel like after my traumtizing experience something should be done and I should refunded for at least for what the orginal contract stated.

Rude customer service... gas tank was well below empty when I picked up the truck. When asking employee about it he snarkily said you have enough to get to the gas station up the road (by the way, most expensive gas station in the area). I put $20 in the gas tank and it didnt even get past the empty mark. Spent our entire move stressing about if we will have enough gas.

During inspection have it in your process to check for paddle locks on the doors. Had to deal with cutting one off the trailer I rented, cost me more than an hour of my time.

The staff were extremely helpful, but I did have a problem. I picked up the trailer, and it went well until I got to my destination 2 hours away. They placed a lock on the trailer doors, and I was unable to us the trailer. I had to take it to a local U-haul and have them cut the lock off. This should have been removed when I rented the trailer. Thanks

It's a rough location when crime is happening overnight and gas is siphoned from the Uhauls. Starts the customer's rental off with a trip to the gas station because it's on empty. Truck was clean and seemingly in good condition but it wouldn't turn over after I turned it off to unload. Really really inconvenient and costly when I'm paying a crew of 4 hourly rates and they can't load the truck because it's stranded at the end destination. The rest of the rental I never turned it off(as advised by U-Haul roadside assistance) and therefore couldn't refuel it as U-Haul has clearly identified above the gas cap to always turn off the engine to refuel. The gentlemen checking me back in scoffed at that saying he never turns off the engine so I pointed him to U-Haul's mandate which he just reiterated it's not a problem to refuel with a running engine. Ultimately without being able to refuel to 1/4 tank (it was a hairline under) the check in guy said he couldn't give me credit for 1/4 but just 3/16 which still allowed a gas credit but not the same amount as 1/4 I guess. Seems crazy that no consideration was given for all of the inconveniences experienced. Tough experience today from U-Haul for me which is too bad.

I reserved online a 4'x8' enclosed trailer. I received a call offering an "upgrade" to a 5'x8' enclosed trailer for the same rate for they did not have a 4'x8' enclosed trailer on hand. Upon arrival at the dealership I was assigned to a trailer that appeared road weary. The paint job was sun bleached, delaminating and not the best image of a well-run business. The garage style lift door was in serious need of lubrication. A "considerable effort was require to lift it and the metal-on-metal sound was disconcerting. The interior of the trailer had a pile of leaves in the far right corner which the attendant quickly removed. We hitched the trailer to my 2016 Ford Flex and began my 3400 mile, 27 day journey. Fortunately the performance of the trailer was much better than its appearance. It never caused me any concern. I returned the trailer to the dealership and checked out efficiently. Regarding improvements for the next customer, lubricate the lift door or better yet, retire the trailer from your fleet. Its paint job has seen better days.

Sam was the most informative, efficient, personable and knowledgeable rep I've interacted with in ANY business! She not only made the process painless, she made it enjoyable. Sam should be hired to be filmed to as the ultimate example for teaching U-Haul reps everywhere how and what to tell your customers how to get the best experience with your great line of rentals. Seriously. She's that great! I've rented U-Haul's in the past (even from this location), but only after Samantha's "Pro Tips" did I benefit from better gas consumption and smoother rides. The general manager was great. The truck had sticky residue in the cup holders and there was a spare key left behind. I left everything as it was. Upon return, the person who checked me in reeked of pot.

Very nice facility that is clean. Large and many storage units to choose from. The staff is amazing as they are quick to respond, and I cannot say enough good thigs about the GM Bob Stalcup. He is kind and easy to get ahold of if you have any issues or questions. I happened to be moving out maybe a few days after the next month's rent was due, and when I asked if there was maybe a prorate or some fee I could pay instead of paying for the full month, he was more than happy to work with me and gave me a very fair deal which is wonderful. I would definitely recommend this storage facility not only because it is well taken care of, but because of it's amazing staff and customer service which can be hard to find these days.

I moved out of the storage unit in June and received at least six phone calls from an employee or a manager at U-Haul. Asked me when I was going to make my payment and I told them each time that I had already moved out and they assured me that they would get it closed out and it never happened so now it showing that I moved out July 21 which isn't even true. I moved out last month and I expressed this to several different people.

The staff at East Town Uhaul went above and beyond in service. They were very helpful from renting multiple storage units to Uboxes. They made a long distance move easier. The staff is knowledgeable, patient and very helpful.

The only downfall about one of my units is that there is a utility pole not right in the middle but kind of off to the side of it inside of it but I am still able to store my items with no problem. Extremely happy about the first month's free the online process was super easy and I'm very happy that I don't have to pay for the truck until I actually use it. Definitely recommend this to others thank you!

When I rented my moving truck. It said there was 3/4 of a tank of gas. When I got the truck it was empty! I was told I would get reimbursed. Because the truck had no gas! When I'm I going to receive that reimbursement?

Overall, great!! Moment to moment, challenging at times… I moved across the country and needed safe storage. They told me at onset I could use my own lock. I did. A couple months later they want me to come take my lock off and use one of theirs. No can do because I'm halfway across the country. Lady was very kind, said no problem, we will mark a note of exception. Several months later, another call, new management. Same response from me, and was told no problem she'll notify the manager. This call and response happened four times total. Then, I finally have things squared away and can go get my things. I order a truck for after hours pick up, paid ahead of time, and arrive 10 pm off my flight to no truck assigned when I got there. No phone call was made to me to notify me or make other arrangements, nothing. The 1800number was more courteous in this particular moment. Nevertheless, they hooked me up, bigger truck, no extra charges. Couldn't get in the unit at night so I left for a hotel and returned the next morning. When I arrived the next morning I discovered that they placed a lock on my unit. I was unable to get my unit open. I texted the after hours help number, the GM, and received no response. Not even to follow up to see if employees handled the situation at open. The employee did help me though, they had no key for the lock they put on my unit seemingly several months ago and instead used grinder to remove their lock. Woot! My hero. My stuff was preserved safely, truck operates amazingly, all is well, but from time to time they are challenging to work around and with. U-Haul standards seem to differ from place to place.

Helpful staff, have had a couple of times where it was difficult to find someone in the office when they were busy, however overall very helpful. I highly recommend this facility, I felt my unit was very secure with the double entry, unit was clean and lock came with the storage unit for free. Plenty of dollies available to move items, pathways clear and clean. Facility is very well lit and the unit height allows for tall peices and stacking boxes high, making the space really stretch. If I come back to this area, I will definitely use this facility again. Price is very reasonable for what you get.

The trailer that I used hauled nicely. (That was my first time pulling a trailer and it was a good experience). I really appreciated the month of storage at my destination location. I felt bad for the one man who was working by himself on my arrival date. He had lots of customers and phone calls. I did have to wait in line for a very long time, but he was very friendly, helpful and efficient- especially considering the pressure he was under. Overall, it was a very good experience and I would do it again.

Tammi is a superstar manager. Excellent customer service. We were only there to rent a small truck for a couple of hours, but she won us over and we left with a monthly contract for a storage unit and plans to return for a trailer hitch. You need more employees like her - everybody wants this kind of customer service.

Everything was ultimately awesome, except for the tenant in the two units across from mine, who, continually for the entire six months of my stay placed all of his belongings in the hallway on a daily basis. when I was moving out, he told me I needed to come back on another day because he was going to leave with all of his things in the hall way he threatened my sister. Due to the safety concerns after the threat I was unable to access my unit for almost a week and a half. When I spoke to management, they said not to worry about the timeframe. I had planned to move out, and I would not be charged. If I stayed extra time because of the time I had lost at this point, I am being charged for a full months rent and lockout fees.

I don't drive and I have limited mobility. My main from a contact with anyone outside of my home is by the phone. It's hard for me to call the actual location that has my storage unit. Their phones always go to customer service. I understand they are busy and I understand they're helping people but calling is my main form of communication for anything and everything in my life.

I was very satisfied with the entire experience. Everyone on the staff that I dealt with were super friendly...I personally will likely use this U-Haul Facility or another U-Haul Facility either in the Federal Way area, up in Skagit or Whatcom County, and up on the Sunset Highway out towards Airway Heights. I have been a U-Haul Customer since 1968 and can't count the number of trucks and vans I have rented over the years from the smallest pickup trucks and vans to the largest trucks.

The units in the indoor facility don't have individual ceilings for the stalls. Little protection if someone wanted to climb over into the next stall and take something.

The doors are always broken and don't lock properly from the electronics and alignment not working so it seems like people could get in whenever they want to without a unit but hasn't seemed to be a security problem so far yet. The general manager Reuben Ingebritson went above and beyond as I moved into my storage unit. I had an out-of-the-ordinary request for a few packages to be delivered to Uhaul before I was in town to pick up my storage unit keys. Reuben graciously received the packages on my behalf before I arrived. I highly recommend the U-Haul Storage Of East Town as they were extremely helpful and communicative and made the moving process easy.

Rueben is a lifesaver and then some. I was somehow given an expired storage unit offer for the first month to be free. I wasn't aware of it being expired and I rented a truck and packed it up. At one point we were directed to the UCity location where I was very rudely treated and basically laughed at right out the door. Rueben still honored it and made it the easiest set up possible. He didn't have to honor it and he was empathetic and understanding the entire time. I deeply and greatly appreciate this and want to also recognize that I have never witnessed any one person juggle and address so many different issues and needs at one time and stay calm, cool and composed. Treating every single person with dignity and respect. There was a lot going to n and because he stayed so calm, it kept everyone in there calm. So thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Staff was fantastic! Just not great hours and it took forever for the uhual website to update hours to the correct ones and at least a few early/unexpected closures. You cannot access your unit after hours! The main negative here is that people will wait for you to go in or come out and run into the secured building to use the bathroom or just scope for units. The parking lot seemed to have new broken car window glass every time we visited - and I did not feel safe going alone at all. The office should be moved closer to the secure building, so A) crazies aren't waiting to run inside and B) there could be some deterrence for the same people that wait for you to forget to lock up your vehicle while going inside. And -1 star for someone in the office (not sure who) reporting me as sleeping in my car while I was sitting there pulling up directions and figuring out where to eat after spending an hour unloading and organizing. So many homeless people running in and out, saw cops come out 2x while visiting for crazy people "hovering" or insisting they get into the secured building. I seriously thought the cop made a mistake and was looking for a guy that the cops had been out to attend to when we had first gotten there and started unloading an hour before. Nope, he let me know that the office called and reported me. Extremely strange and off putting, especially since the cop blocked my car in by pulling up behind me and blocked the driveway in a mega dangerous way. Not a cool feeling and was really unnecessary of the office employee that decided to do that with no justified cause (I had been in my car maybe 10 minutes?). Overall, the building wasn't bad, just very poorly lit and the lights were often left off and the parking lot was definitely dangerous. Also, one of the staff circled inside the building 3 times to watch me in my unit/get a good look while I was organizing - he was an odd dude, polite, but that was super off putting as being a female alone there and he seemed to be leaving another family alone (even though they were driving their their atvs around the inside of the building before putting them in their unit) . 路‍♀️ so just lots of strange vibes and not great feelings. But if you're desperate and you buy a decent lock, your stuff should be fine - just don't leave your car alone for more than a couple of minutes!

The assistant manager went above and beyond to help us out in a semi-emergency situation to get our uhual storage unit ready for us, got me set up over the phone and located my existing account. I forgot to shut the storage door before we were locked out and she had to save us again. Amazing! So happy we some how ended up here 殺

The young woman that helped me out was BEYOND helpful, kind, considerate and thoughtful. She worked diligently to ensure that my upgrade would include my discount, and she won my business for U-Haul. She was excellent

Didn't rate 5 stars because of the U-haul lock that's attached to each unit. Had to go to the office get someone to come unlock the outside unit then go back again to tell them we were leaving. However, special thanks to Spencer Valois for her help during our move out!

I would say that's the best storage place in town the prices are up there a little bit but the people are well understanding and helpful as well as well as very respectful I would recommend this place to anyone who would need a storage in the future

This location needs to be shut down! I scheduled a truck pick up over the phone and when I got there no one was working in the building I had to unlock the truck virtually which is a pain only to find out that someone stole all the gas and the battery out of the truck I rented. The storage manager Matthew was a very rude individual who told us he would come help us unlock my storage unit within a 15 minute time frame And he showed up 45 minutes later. This location changed my lock on my storage so that my own key wouldn't work so that's why I had to wait for him to show up. Overall because this location is under managed you guys delayed my moving trip by three hours. This is the worst service I've ever had with U-Haul.

After having some trouble at the original drop off finding an appropriate storage space , we were treated excellently at this facility.

The only complaint and it's a big one. If you have paid for the month and move out before the following month, other storage facilities give you the pro rated rate back, you don't pay for the full month if you move out. This storage facility does not offer that. You move out, no pro rated money back. That's my only complaint. I think it's not a very good way to do business.

I called a couple of days prior to us renting a storage unit since we were returning the truck to this location. I was told that a 20' would be available if not we could get a bigger one for the same price. The manager that was there was in a rush, not very helpful, couldn't figure out which storage unit was ours, we think we were given the wrong one, the lock that was given did not fit, so had to get a different one, they are suppose to double secure the unit, no place did I see where they double secure it, the poor girl that was left to help, was so confused but very nice and pleasant. Overall this has not been a great experience and am regretting my decision to put our belongings there as I am not sure if our stuff will be safe or if it was double secured. I just don't know.
