TIBEBU WThe only thing was that this was not the location originally agreed upon and the pickup location was not the original location agreed upon. I was contacted by U-Haul to change the drop off location because the equipment was due for Maintenace. The equipment needed work before i rented it, that was obvious. I hope that this was helpful to make sure your customers are getting the quality of equipment and service you strive to achieve.

CHARLES RI thought I was supposed to put gas in the tank for the mileage I used the truck so I did, I only drive 16 miles so I put in $5 of gas then I noticed the u-haul office charged me $5,6 for gas! The gas gauge obviously showed the same amount as when I picked it up. anyway other than that things were good.
ANTHONY MI tried to make a reservation using the app, however when it came to payment I got an error message saying there was something wrong with my credit card and to call the 800 number. I did and gave the same card number and it was accepted. I did not enter the numbers wrong in the app. I tried it twice and double checked. Why wouldn't the so complete the reservation? Having to go to voice took extra unnecessary time.

Alice PMake sure ALL your employees are on that same page about pricing. I was told by the employee I did pick up with that any milage over 20 miles "would not matter, don't worry about that" and quoted a cost estimate at $83. When I returned the vehicle my total was altered to $140, it would have been nice to know that those extra miles DID matter and would grossly effect my total.

MICHAEL PWell beginners - I had initial reservation for downtown on 3rd ave. Got call at 130 reservation was for 5pm. They wanted me to go to different location 7 miles away to pick and return to diff location even farther. Suppose to get a discount but arrived at said location and it didn't appear to be discounted - gentleman revised info and I got originally price I signed up for but ultimately the entire thing cost me more due to pickup and drop off at differ locations. Like $30 more! Not happy with how this transaction happened

JOHN CHard to identify areas for improvement - my experience was quite positive. At first, the U-Box provided to me had no ramp, but when I pointed that out the U-Haul rep immediately found a ramp and installed it. When I returned the U-Box and trailer for shipment, it was received efficiently and I got an immediate credit for the packing materials I returned unused. The U-Haul app and e-mails kept me fully informed of the status of my shipment. When it arrived I got telephone calls scheduling the delivery, which was right on time. My shipment arrived just as I had packed it. Pickup of the U-Box after I unloaded it was done efficiently and on schedule. I was extremely happy and impressed with the whole process.

TRENTON MMostly good. Once I went inside, they got me squared away quickly. But when I first pulled up (during work hours), there was a sign that said to wait in equipment and use the app, but the app wouldn't work and no one was coming out. So I went in.

PAVEL SOverall, great!! Moment to moment, challenging at times… I moved across the country and needed safe storage. They told me at onset I could use my own lock. I did. A couple months later they want me to come take my lock off and use one of theirs. No can do because I'm halfway across the country. Lady was very kind, said no problem, we will mark a note of exception. Several months later, another call, new management. Same response from me, and was told no problem she'll notify the manager. This call and response happened four times total. Then, I finally have things squared away and can go get my things. I order a truck for after hours pick up, paid ahead of time, and arrive 10 pm off my flight to no truck assigned when I got there. No phone call was made to me to notify me or make other arrangements, nothing. The 1800number was more courteous in this particular moment. Nevertheless, they hooked me up, bigger truck, no extra charges. Couldn't get in the unit at night so I left for a hotel and returned the next morning. When I arrived the next morning I discovered that they placed a lock on my unit. I was unable to get my unit open. I texted the after hours help number, the GM, and received no response. Not even to follow up to see if employees handled the situation at open. The employee did help me though, they had no key for the lock they put on my unit seemingly several months ago and instead used grinder to remove their lock. Woot! My hero. My stuff was preserved safely, truck operates amazingly, all is well, but from time to time they are challenging to work around and with. U-Haul standards seem to differ from place to place.

JESSIE PWill never use uhaul again. Had a 10 ft for less than an hour hauling a brand new sectional and got charged a $25 cleaning fee. Absolutely ridiculous, will tell anyone that asks not to use uhaul at all.

NIKOLAY SAnother thought to add to the above. This van ran like garbage! It only has 12 000 miles on it and seemed to run fine while empty. But after we loaded it down the engine coughed and sputtered regularly! And the fuel economy was terrible also - empty on the highway was only 8,6 mph! Loaded down it was getting about 6 mpg. And there is some kind of EMF coming off the engine that totally killed the two-way radio!

I highly recommend this facility, I felt my unit was very secure with the double entry, unit was clean and lock came with the storage unit for free. Plenty of dollies available to move items, pathways clear and clean. Facility is very well lit and the unit height allows for tall peices and stacking boxes high, making the space really stretch. If I come back to this area, I will definitely use this facility again. Price is very reasonable for what you get.

I really appreciated the month of storage at my destination location. I felt bad for the one man who was working by himself on my arrival date. He had lots of customers and phone calls. I did have to wait in line for a very long time, but he was very friendly, helpful and efficient- especially considering the pressure he was under. Overall, it was a very good experience and I would do it again.

Due to the safety concerns after the threat I was unable to access my unit for almost a week and a half. When I spoke to management, they said not to worry about the timeframe. I had planned to move out, and I would not be charged. If I stayed extra time because of the time I had lost at this point, I am being charged for a full months rent and lockout fees.

I have been a U-Haul Customer since 1968 and can't count the number of trucks and vans I have rented over the years from the smallest pickup trucks and vans to the largest trucks.

I wasn't aware of it being expired and I rented a truck and packed it up. At one point we were directed to the UCity location where I was very rudely treated and basically laughed at right out the door. Rueben still honored it and made it the easiest set up possible. He didn't have to honor it and he was empathetic and understanding the entire time. I deeply and greatly appreciate this and want to also recognize that I have never witnessed any one person juggle and address so many different issues and needs at one time and stay calm, cool and composed. Treating every single person with dignity and respect. There was a lot going to n and because he stayed so calm, it kept everyone in there calm. So thank you from the bottom of my heart.

You cannot access your unit after hours! The main negative here is that people will wait for you to go in or come out and run into the secured building to use the bathroom or just scope for units. The parking lot seemed to have new broken car window glass every time we visited - and I did not feel safe going alone at all. The office should be moved closer to the secure building, so A) crazies aren't waiting to run inside and B) there could be some deterrence for the same people that wait for you to forget to lock up your vehicle while going inside. And -1 star for someone in the office (not sure who) reporting me as sleeping in my car while I was sitting there pulling up directions and figuring out where to eat after spending an hour unloading and organizing. So many homeless people running in and out, saw cops come out 2x while visiting for crazy people "hovering" or insisting they get into the secured building. I seriously thought the cop made a mistake and was looking for a guy that the cops had been out to attend to when we had first gotten there and started unloading an hour before. Nope, he let me know that the office called and reported me. Extremely strange and off putting, especially since the cop blocked my car in by pulling up behind me and blocked the driveway in a mega dangerous way. Not a cool feeling and was really unnecessary of the office employee that decided to do that with no justified cause (I had been in my car maybe 10 minutes?). Overall, the building wasn't bad, just very poorly lit and the lights were often left off and the parking lot was definitely dangerous. Also, one of the staff circled inside the building 3 times to watch me in my unit/get a good look while I was organizing - he was an odd dude, polite, but that was super off putting as being a female alone there and he seemed to be leaving another family alone (even though they were driving their their atvs around the inside of the building before putting them in their unit) . 路♀️ so just lots of strange vibes and not great feelings. But if you're desperate and you buy a decent lock, your stuff should be fine - just don't leave your car alone for more than a couple of minutes!

I scheduled a truck pick up over the phone and when I got there no one was working in the building I had to unlock the truck virtually which is a pain only to find out that someone stole all the gas and the battery out of the truck I rented. The storage manager Matthew was a very rude individual who told us he would come help us unlock my storage unit within a 15 minute time frame And he showed up 45 minutes later. This location changed my lock on my storage so that my own key wouldn't work so that's why I had to wait for him to show up. Overall because this location is under managed you guys delayed my moving trip by three hours. This is the worst service I've ever had with U-Haul.

If you have paid for the month and move out before the following month, other storage facilities give you the pro rated rate back, you don't pay for the full month if you move out. This storage facility does not offer that. You move out, no pro rated money back. That's my only complaint. I think it's not a very good way to do business.

I was told that a 20' would be available if not we could get a bigger one for the same price. The manager that was there was in a rush, not very helpful, couldn't figure out which storage unit was ours, we think we were given the wrong one, the lock that was given did not fit, so had to get a different one, they are suppose to double secure the unit, no place did I see where they double secure it, the poor girl that was left to help, was so confused but very nice and pleasant. Overall this has not been a great experience and am regretting my decision to put our belongings there as I am not sure if our stuff will be safe or if it was double secured. I just don't know.
