After picking up the truck we noticed one of the taillights was not working. We called u-hail who sent a mobile repair service and Marco fixed the light as we loaded the truck. We were then safely on our way to our new home.Lawrence H.

You charged me for a utility dolly that didn't even exist in the truck. I want some money back. Seriously, there was an empty orange clamp in the rear passenger side of the the cargo area that was not holding a dolly, but clearly has signage as if it should have. This is a scam because they tell you to leave before the truck is actually checked in. Also, I didn't buy the $70 coverage, I bought the $50 coverage.Bryce C.
We did not communicate with this location directly, all coordination was done with the scheduling office in Sherwood. They helped us multiple times over the phone with my various questions and at the last minute helped me schedule a rental truck when I realized the u-box delivery was scheduled for the wrong day. I really appreciated their friendly and helpful manner over the phone. The u-box delivery, pickup, and storage went well. It was in good condition and our items were stored and arrived safely.Jeff I.

Working with UHaul was one of the worst experiences I've ever had. This was mainly because of scheduling. I initially booked for certain dates (and I specifically booked with UHaul because those dates were available in comparison to competitors) and then after I booked, I was told those dates were no longer available. I had to go out of my way to take things to the UBox instead of having the UBox delivered to my apartment as initially planned. So I take my things to the UBox, and when I arrive (at the time UHaul told me to arrive), I'm told they have no UBoxes and that they were supposed to receive a delivery of them and yet hadn't yet. Then, the box arrived days later than my initial scheduled date. Then, I was told the UBox had to stay on a property for 24 hours, which my new apartment didn't allow, so then I had to rent a truck through UHaul to pick up my things, which was so stressful given that I had just moved to a new city. Overall, there was so much uncertainty around when the box could be picked up and when it would be delivered, and as someone who was taking time off work, this was very difficult. If UHaul could just get their scheduling in order, this would have been a way better experience. If I were to move again, I probably wouldn't choose UHaul for this reason. Things need to be more clear and organized. It just seems like UHaul has no knowledge or control over their drivers/deliveries, and this is incredibly stressful for someone going through a move. Customer service was always nice and helpful, but didn't make up for the stress and uncertainty of the experience.Naily N.
The employee who helped me was great but he was obviously struggling with the slow computer and problematic reservation system. I'm sure they'd appreciate an upgrade so they wouldn't be so frustrated and they could help customers faster. But that wasn't his fault at all. My 26 foot truck was reserved for more than 2 weeks but was not in stock, it was in Sandy, Oregon. U-Haul corporate said it would credit me $50 for this scheduling problem, however no credit was given. Aaron was very understanding at this location and provided me a 20 foot truck. I drove the truck 13,5 miles and pumped in 2 gallons of fuel which should be more than enough. Still the checkout person charged me additional $22 for fuel. After bringing it to Managers attention, a credit was issued the next day. On a positive note, the lady checked me in the morning was very friendly and helpfulSrider N.

Guy who answered the phone was above all was courteous and patient ( I'm 76 ). When I asked him to talk more slowly, he did and was very nice about it. My storage rate was way more economical than I had expected. In Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, All of the staff were GREAT! Especially Renee. I was stressed with having to move my stuff out plus it was 106°. I unwittingly chose the hottest days of the year. Ugh! Renee deserves big time kudos. Every interaction with her was positive even when there were customers waiting, phone calls that needed to be answered, staff that needed instructions, etc. She is remarkable and is worthy of praise. She helped me with all solutions and recommended using two Unboxes which solved my problem. I had a U-Haul hitch installed. I bought the hitch from her but she couldn't install it right away. She took the trouble to call store in Spokane and they installed it the next morning. WOW! All the staff were GREAT there also. I had begun my quest thinking I was going to buy a hitch and rent a 5x8 covered trailer but soon realized that it was not feasible. The two boxes were Renee's idea and they worked out perfectly! She made everything simple and easy. She really knows her job well. Corporate should hold onto her with both hands. She's a fantastic asset to the company. Sorry, hope that I'm not being too effusive but she made my task easy and stress -free. I simply love U-Haul and will ALWAYS have my business. Thank you so very much. I am giving this a decent rating because the people I worked with were helpful. I do have a major issue with the availability and lack of communication. When I showed up to get my truck, it was not there and the staff had no idea where it was. Apparently, the person with the vehicle did not turn it in on time and I had the go to another facility that pick up a truck. Fortunately, the other facility had a vehicle and the staff there was very helpful. I don't know what the process is or the expectations for this situation, but as a customer, this left me high and dry with no warning. Always excellent customer service! We also received one month's free rent because we had previously rented a truck from this store. Mary found a space close to the stairs since we had a second story unit. Dollies were available for us to load our boxes, and move-in was fast and efficient. I requested moving blankets and was charged $10 for them, but they were not provided with the truck. I had to go through with my move without the blankets, which greatly complicated things. When I brought this to the employees' attention, they said they would resolve the matter and refund me. Medal hinge below ramp on left side broken. Looks like someone used duct tape to repair. Difficult to stow ramp but figured it out with a helper to hold hindge until partially stowed.James D.
The van we rented was marketed as fitting a queen sized bed. This is inaccurate. The tires at the rear of the van are placed in a way that, if you put a queen sized mattress in, your mattress will NOT LAY FLAT, which causes damage to the mattress. The mattress can also not be put vertically, as the van is to short. Please consider not lying in your marketing. I just lost my mattress warranty because of it! Ryn P.

Your corporate computer system needs to be upgraded. I spent approximately 15 minutes waiting for responses from the system. Unfortunately I have yet to have a good uhaul experience. I set up a one-way rental from Sherwood to Milwaukie. My rental changed the day before to pickup in Tualatin instead. Not a biggie. I get there and they don't have my truck. The one rep and supervisor didn't care. â€œIt's a computer problemâ€ and walked away leaving this poor teenager to figure it out for me. Ended up having to pickup and return the truck to Tualatin, which ruined any sort of convenience I was aiming for. I was offered no compensation or anything more than an apology from the teenager.BRANDON P.

The van I had , which was the same type that I had rented from the same center 3 weeks ago was not safe to drive over 50 mph. It had Arizona plates so I assume it was a visitor vehicle. Still, it was not controllable on the highway over 50; the steering was very unresponsive/ loose making it quite impossible to operate safely over 50 mph. I am an experienced driver and, as I noted drove a similar vehicle from the center 3 weeks ago and had no difficulty controlling it over 50 mphlawrence H.

It took longer to get my truck than to use my truck for the task I used it for. The customer service rep was left alone at the counter. There was a problem with bringing up my reservation. Then the system went down. And the manager on duty was too busy to help the customer service rep figure out how to solve the problem. I was charged for a full 2nd day for the equipment even though I returned it <20 min late. In two separate calls they promised to refund the extra day, which had not happened yet. Moreover, the gas meter in the vehicle must have been faulty. I drove 18 miles and the meter showed almost full. I had to add 6+ gallons of gas to make it full. When I brought it up 3miles/gallon(!), the answer was depends how you drive the vanâ€¦.George P.

Front desk service has always gotten the job done, but every time, the feeling I get is they don't give a rip about customers. It just happened to me twice again. Walking in and stepping up to the counter, one associate didn't even lift their head up for an uncomfortably long time, and when they did, it was a head not without eye contact and saying "they'll (next register) take care of you in a minute" and then nose back down to what they were doing. Never a "good morning". Never a "thanks". Never a "what can we do for ya?". Just blank stares and indifference. I can count on getting a tone like that or it will make me go find a different rental yard. Your crew needs to learn how to be courteous.Michael H.

not enough 10x 10 and 10 x 15 units available. Had to change storage units mid stream because the 10x10 one that said it was available on computer actually wasn't.
