This is the best run location in Portland. Every time I go there they have their act together. This time, they had the hand held check-in device. The guy had my information up in 5 seconds, did the walk around and gas check in 3 minutes, handed me my receipt and I was done. Excellent! I have to say, though, that the U-Haul practice of giving you a truck 3/4 full of gas, rather than full, is an obvious ploy to get extra gas from the customer and is not appreciated. Just give it to us full so we donâ€™t have to decide between giving you extra gas by filling it up or go through the hassle of estimating how much will get it back to 3/4, especially here in Oregon where they donâ€™t let you fill your own tank!

The pricing was not clear. When I booked online it stated it was $19.95 per ayd with mileage. When I picked up they said they were putting hold on credit card for $200 but what I wasn't told was that was the package price (which included mileage) and was $89.95 per day. The lack of clarity made me think they were not being honest with me and now I need to walk through the process of booking online again to see whether what I thought I was booking was correct. Not even saying that it isn't a better deal, just surprised that a change in pricing isn't explicitly discussed with the customer. Creating more hassle than I expected after the rental.

Had to leave there with trailer open NO WAY to close it lock was stuck up in the ceiling. Phone center transferred me 3 times until I got to Brandon out of Arizona who told me to just leave it open. Not a great night.

At this location I as fine but I have some trouble, cause first of all I thought I reserved a cargo trailer at first and it was a utility trailer and grime there they send me to an other location and on my way there they call me to tell me they didnâ€™t have the one I need. So I drive more then I need to

We started our order online and indicated that we wanted to pick-up IN store at 8:00am, which was one of the available choices. No where did it mention that the store was observing holiday hours that day and would actually not open until 9:00am. Thankfully some associates got there a little earlier than 9, and we didn't have to wait the whole hour. There was another customer waiting as well. When I brought this error to their attention they simply said "the previous shift is supposed to set up 24 hour pick ups." I explained that I had intended to come into the store all along, and they said "there's nothing we can do about it." They said their assistant manager was out sick, and GM was on vacation. They didn't even offer to leave a message for them, or connect us with an email or voicemail. I understand that they, themselves, didn't have the ability to change what had happened but it would have felt nice to at least have the frustration validated or received an apology (as reps of the company) for the inconvenience. Also the van was listed as having "Full" gas tank and really had only about 7/8. I took a picture during my check in process, but it seems that once you complete that process that the user can no longer access the agreement with the pictures/conditions of the vehicle. It seems that the customer should retain a copy of this in some way.

I called and spoke with someone and booked a pick up of trailer at 8 AM January 1 I arrive before 8 AM to find a paper sign on the door saying that they would not be in until 9 AM. This is very unprofessional and put my 12 hour moving day even later into the evening. I asked the person at the front desk if maybe they could throw in some moving blankets and some kind of show of apology for the mistake he said that they couldnâ€™t because the manager was sick I realize this is not their fault Iâ€™m sure itâ€™s policy thatâ€™s my point is that the policy shouldâ€™ve been to be open when promised and also to allow your employees to make things right when you make a mistake I am very disappointed and will not recommend

If one rents a piece of equipment for 24 hours, and it is due at 6:30 pm, a half hour before closing, and due to rain, traffic and over all safety, the renter misses the deadline and turns in the equipment when the store opens at 7:30, it would be nice to only be charged for the one day rental, not two. In the past, the employee would enter one day and charge for the one day, but the new Uhaul software does not allow the employee to charge for the one day...it just automatically charges for the second day. Not an improvement over the past company policy.

Was not informed about $30 refill fee that Uhaul has added. When processing the self-help dropoff with Uhaul Share, checked box for disagreeing with final total, and was advised I would be contacted within 48 hours by a representative to discuss the final total. Received no contact through email or phone. Uhaul made zero effort to inform me of changes with their charges, and zero effort to resolve the issue after the fact. I will never be doing business with Uhaul again in the future, nor will I recommend them to friends or family.

From making my reservation all of the way to returning the equipment was a total disaster. Each person I spoke to passed me on to another person who would be able to give me "better information" which occured at least 4 times during my two day rental. No one at either store location or on the phone seemed to have any idea what to do. It was terribly frustrating. What's more is that every aspect of the rental is a new angle to nickle and dime the consumer. Fees and random charges all over the place that no one ever mentions. I was offered a discount on my rental to return the truck to a town 30 miles beyond my destination, to which I obliged for the discount. However, I was still responsible for the gas to go that extra thirty miles AND on the day I returned it where they tried to charge me the amount that they had taken off for returning to that location. The only person who seemed to have a clue how to make anything happen was the manager at the Lake Oswego location, Chris. She was vigilant and took care of the extra charge that was trying to be applied. At least she was great.

I did the 24/7 pick-up thing. Everything went great, but it was a little hard to figure out where the keybox was. There was a photo, but on my phone screen it was small and hard to see, It was also cold and early, so it might have just been me :)

Mileage too expensive for 10â€™ box truck. I spent $225 for an 18 hour rental....most of which was mileage. Way overpriced! Penske offers unlimited mileage. Next time Iâ€™ll go with them simply due to price.
