I made the initial reservation to pick up at 8am on Saturday morning at the location near my home. Friday night I received an email changing to location and pushing the pick up to 1pm. While the drop off time was also pushed back five hours this was not helpful as I only had the weekend to move/use the truck which meant I lost half the day and the people I had scheduled to help. The reservation also stated I would be contacted by a representative to confirm everything which did not happen (just the bad news email). The staff at the rental center and the truck were great but I will reconsider Uhaul in the future since I can’t count on the accuracy of the reservation relative to my needs as a renter.

I was never given my utility dolly. I was charged for the rental, then later another $12 came out of my account for not returning the dolly. I can't get anyone on the phone for a refund. I would appreciate some follow up. Thats $22-25 i gave you guys for nothing.

My issue started at the 225 and Colfax location. That location didn't have the 17' truck I reserved. The store manager said he would issue $50 credit guaranteed by uhaul. A uhaul customer service representative said there were no notes on my reservation and the $50 credit had not been issued. I now have to wait 3 business days just to get a call back from that store manager, with no guarantee that my issue will be resolved during the 3 day wait period. I was sent to the Buckley location to get a 17' truck. After having to find my own ride from the first store, there was a line of 10 (no exagerration) customers for the rental desk. Even though their were four uhaul employees there, the uhaul representative at the desk stated he was the only there that knew how to work the desk. It's ridiculous that each employee is not trained to work the desk. After 40 minutes of waiting, I was finally issued my 17' truck. I was told wait so my truck could be pulled to the front. After waiting 10 minutes and no one saying anything to me, I walked out front. I found a truck running, keys it it, and the drivers door wide open. After matching up the numbers on my receipt, I realized it was the truck I rented. Anyone could have came, hopped in that truck, and drove off. I went ahead and drove away only to have to come back later because the appliance dolly I rented was not loaded for me. I told the gentlemen at the desk that truck was left running outside and I didn't get the appliance dolly. He just shrugged it off, retrieved a dolly from the back of the store, and acted as if that was normal which I now believe it was normal for them. The overall experience with the uhaul truck rental was absolutely poor. I'm still waiting for the $50 refund from the 225 and Colfax store. I'm told the manager has 3 business days to call me back which is a slow response time to resolve a simple refund issue that UHAUL guarantees. I'm hoping with this review, uhaul will get in contact with me to rectify this sooner....

Used the online checkin and it saved NO time at all. Very slow process to rent equipment, and 1 customer service rep tied up 2 computers for 1 customer, slowing the process down even further. Your equipment is good and prices great, but customer service is at the bottom, likely since you have a near monopoly on the business. Thus, customer service lacks! Waited in line for over 30 mins.

I wanted to pick up and drop off in Parker, I even got a conformation that I would pick up in Parker. But the location was changed the day before my scheduled pick up. instead I had to drive all the way to aurora and wouldn’t let me return the truck to a location in Parker even though there were no trucks in Parker.

I'm sure you are accustomed to receiving complaints but the agent I worked with got me the truck I needed during a historically peak demand period and trusted that I would return it when I promised to so the next customer would have the truck when expected. His actions were greatly appreciated and made for a one day move and not an entire weekend.

The guy that helps me out has been with the company for several years at least he used to always do propane for me I fill 240 lb tanks pretty much weekly and he was always polite and effective with his timing Inns helpfulness. Today he was very courteous and understanding of my very short time constrain and was able to help me in a very quick manner which I was very appreciative of because I had to meet a deadline.

Getting cell service at this location was very tricky to return unit. We had to restart the processes 4 times. Took over 40 minutes to check in after hours. We have t mobile cell service. We were getting upset not sure what to do if it didn't work.

Every time I've reserved a Uhaul truck, I have done it weeks in advance and I have had issues picking it up EVERY time. Had to drive extra miles and cost more money due to an employee telling me to drop it off at a specific store. Absolute horrible customer service. I feel as if you hire homeless people straight outta Compton to deal with the customers. Every experience I have had with Uhaul has been a disaster.

I know it is a tough business, but is it possible to be more courteous and polite? Though I had purchased insurance, I was warned that i better inspect the vehicle properly and if there is any issue when I get the vehicle back, it would be a $150 deductible and damages are not covered if any damage was negligence related.

I have one issue that was of concern at the time of my rental. The employee that processed my rental paperwork took a picture of my driver’s license (front and back) and uploaded it in the computer. I asked what would happen with my personal information and was informed that the information remains in the computer indefinitely. The concern I have is not having assurance that my personal will be protected. I maintain that once the rental equipment has been returned (without damage) my/customer information should be deleted.

This place was chaos. There was only one person working the counter, and nobody in the yard. I waited 30 minutes to get to the counter for my reservation, then after 20 minutes in the yard where nobody helped me, I hitched up the trailer myself and went back into the office to tell them I was leaving. Upon return, again there was nobody in the yard, and equipment was parked haphazardly all over the return area, so I could not navigate the lot. After 20 minutes someone finally came out and checked me in, leaving me to unhitch the trailer and move it, without a dolly, out of the way so that I could back out the way I came in. This was pretty much the worst rental experience I have ever had with Uhaul.

The U-Haul crew at this location was great. Having said that, I was seriously disappointed to find out that the roadside assistance was worse than worthless. We had a situation where the keys ended up getting locked inside the cab, and even though the implication was that roadside helped with this kind of situation, it didn't. We were basically told tough, and they suggested expensive locksmiths who could come out, even though we were less than a mile away from a U-haul location. Make sure you read the extra expenses clearly, and ask as many questions as you can before accepting anything extra.

The check-in process was easy and the staff (Justin, et. al) was friendly, professional, and efficient. My rental was ready on time, and the follow-up support to check the vehicle in (after hours) was amazing. The after-hours key-drop-box was very, very useful. I would prefer to check-in by email rather than use my phone on-site. Providing that alternate options would have made the check-in process easier for me. Thank you!

No one was at the customer service counter for around 8-10 minutes when I arrived. There should also be a way to save phone numbers for additional contacts under my name within my profile. It would be problematic if neither of my contacts answered the phone at the moment your agent called. Also, why would my phone contacts be liable if something happened to a rental? What co tract did they sign? The entire process seems unnecessary. You have my credit card and my drivers license...use that if you need to find me

The only thing we had a slight issue with is the fact that they couldn't find our reservation off phone number or the name on it, they had to search the location in order to find it which took awhile till they did, but it wasn't that bad of an issue.

U-Haul as a total company is completely horrible. I spent 2.5 hours trying to rent a car dolly. I went to the U- Haul facility on I-70 & Chambers in Denver, CO. They told me they had a car dolly but when I went there they didn't. I was then referred to another location on Colfax & Lima in Aurora, CO. First I had to wait 40 minutes until they opened when I was told they were open. Secondly, they had given away the dolly that the first center reserved for me. I then went to the U- Haul center at 13721 E Colfax and was assisted by Dustin Glidewell. Dustin didn't stop until he found a car dolly for me. He finally found one and called to make sure it was available. Thanks to Dustin I was able to get a car dolly. No one else helped not even the totally inaccurate website. Thank you to Dustin Glidewell!!!!!!!

I was over charged for a dolly (2x). I also would like a refund on a 1/4 tank of gasoline since gauge is not at the pump and takes time to show on gauge in vehicle. Also it was not at 1/2 tank as reported when renting but about a 1/8 tank less then half. I should receive refund. I spoke to two customer service agents neither took care of issues. I find it odd a corporation want me to use my phone data service time check in and do free work (job responsibilities) which is part of doing business. It was raining and snowing during our rental. The truck we rented had a leak up in "mom's attic". Several boxes got wet, nothing was ruined, but lots of wet cardboard & newspaper. The bottoms fell out of the boxes so we had to individually carry all items and re-wash to get the wet paper off.

Woman at the counter seemed to not know what she was doing truck i rented was for 19.95 base miles on 15 miles went 12 miles tank fuel tank alittle pass 1/2 tank was on a 1/2 was charged 10.00. Returning the vehicle was a disaster sat in the parking r5 minutes trying to get app to work called customer service finally was able to return truck got charged 45.00 went back to the counter twice because i didn't understand why i was charged so much didnt understand how to explain to why i was charged so much had to get assistance from gentleman behind the counter he still disnt help explain why i was questiining charges i left confused and not satified would not rent from u haul again

Higher mileage truck. It did the job and even though truck wasn’t perfect it did the job. Just wish there was more help at counter for quicker checkout. Good experience for sure.

When getting insurance theres w headache caused when workers dont inform the safemove plus is just for damage and harm. I dont understand how a million dollar policy cant get a tow truck to winch a vehicle less than 5ft. Had to call around and pay out pocket because your service/policy isnt straight forward. I moved residence why would i think of getting safeTRIP. Customer action file 2149582 is my earlier complaint.

The store was undermanned and I ended up waiting in line for around 20mins, however the associate had a good attitude despite obviously being over worked on a Saturday. When picking up the truck I was asked if I wanted to add the $14 charge for insurance. I responded no. When I returned the vehicle with the same sales accociate he told me that I would still be charged because I had said yes. Not a big deal, but not an over all great first impression of the company.

The locations were good; however, the call-in reservation line is completely worthless. We called to reserve a truck over a week ago and even got a confirmation number. When we went to go pick up the truck, on day of loading, we called in again to confirm the truck and location and the representative couldn't find our reservation anywhere in the system forcing us to make a new reservation. She reserved us for another 26' foot truck at a location on the other side of Denver. We got there only to be told by the Store representative that there were no 26' available, in fact the largest he had was a 15'. Not only did I have to drive clear across town to drive it home, but now I would have to do multiple trips instead of 1. And when I have to pay for each mile, that becomes increasingly frustrating and expensive. If I had other viable choices i would've done my research and gone with a different company. The phone-In representative told us that Uhaul was changing their systems and that's why there were so many discrepancies; however, when I told this to the representative at the store, where I picked up the 15' , he seemed frustrated and said, "no, we havent changed systems." This tells me the phone in representative just lied to us to try to cover the companies mistakes.

I told the guy it was waved When i placed the order 4 weeks ago they Had not started this charge So olga in palm coast florida told me since i placed the rental way early snd thiese charged were not in order when i pkace my order She waved the charges!!! This guy in Aurora Colorado on Buckley u haul charged my card with out my permisdion and after telling him it was waved!!!!

I fell in the parking lot because of ice and snow and when I told customer service all he said was "oh, yea, I have fallen too". I had a knot on my arm the size of a small egg and had to get x-rays. the know lasted for 3 weeks before finally going down

The only problem we had (aside from a 1-hour delay due to a fire alarm no one knew how to turn off) was the extreme heat on the 2nd floor. At times, it was close to 100 degrees, hotter than outside.
