Yo. Between renting the truck online and still having to PHYSICALLY STAND IN LINE FOR 30 mins and not even leave the lot until 10am when pickup was 9:30 is wild to me. Not to mention they didnt have a dolly available that i rented online. At least the guys under the tent were nice enough to search the lot for one for me. The workers…wow nonchalant is an understatement. Not to mention the attitudes of ALL the workers suck. The only pleasant one was the manager. Moving in online was not convenient. I was told my lock would be in my unit and it wasn't. When returning the truck the black girl at the counter gave ME an attitude for following the return instructions online. I rented a pickup for about three hours. The gas tank was supposed to be full, and a visual of the gauge appeared to be; however after driving a total of 30 miles I went to refill the tank as instructed and it required 4,3 gallons. Obviously the tank had not been topped off prior to my rental and your people would not make an adjustment. Told me I would have to come back tomorrow. I won't be back tomorrow or any other time. The manager at this location was not very helpful. The man working out with the trucks was helpful and kind but it seemed like he was overwhelmed & overworked. U-Haul's mobile app did not work at all for me and it ended up taking me 35-40 minutes of extra time to get my truck and pull away.Connor D.

The vehicle I was given was a vehicle blocked in by six other rental vehicles and it turned out it was a broken down vehicle anyway by the time we got my vehicle then changed from the broken vehicle to a new vehicle etc was about 45 minutes or so which might not seem like much but it was enough for me to lose an hour of three people that were going to help me movekurt P.

Worst experience ever in my life. They gave me appt for hitch installation on 9/2 and gave me a call saying part not available and reschedule to next Saturday. Then the Saturday came and no part no news. I called them on Monday and they said the part is in acne asked me to come at 2 pm to get it installed. I drove 25 miles and get in their line and the store manager says no part in yet. I was like she called me saying part is in and gave me an appointment at 2:00. The manager says, those customer people work from home and they don't know what they are talking. Zero concern for customers and least bothered when unsaid I took off from work and drove 45 mins. The website is good and the inventory is huge. But, first trailer had a broken tail light. Second one worked ok. The return process was unclear. There was no way to prove when I returned or even if I returned the trailer. The only thing I would recommend is that when there is only one person working the desk on a Saturday afternoon and there is 6 people waiting for help and you can hear other employees carrying on in the office or break room and the only one up there asks repeatedly for help and they don't respond, I'd be finding out why these people still have a job. I rented a 26' truck, which was great. The rental period was only 2 days and there was no place in my U-Haul account to update my return date. FYI, there is almost no way you can load a 26' truck, drive 350 miles and unload in 2 days. My suggestion is to have a place in the web site to indicate a revised return date and also the charges for that extra rental period.Donald B.

I had a reservation very close to my house which would have eliminated the amount of miles I would have paid. But after the reservation was made I got a text saying it want available. So this was the closest location which added a bunch more miles to the bill. Very frustrating experience.Heather W.
Your website should reflect the equipment that is actually available. I reserved a truck and an appliance dolly because I was picking up a refrigerator. Unfortunately by the end of the day I needed to use additional truck, I called and u-Haul and asked for an additional truck which all they could get was a 15' truck one way. The disappointment came when they charged me the same cost as the 26' footer. I felt that I was actually rapped. Eleven feet smaller and same cost. It was disappointing to have my reservation transferred from the convenient location I selected to this one, however it was last minute and I was pleased that they had a trailer I could use. The folks there were quite nice, from the woman who checked me in to the men who connected the trailer. I would like to specifically call out Mississippi Putman. This young man was incredibly welcoming, helpful and and just an all around pleasant individual. I don't think he's been on the team long but he's certainly an excellent ambassador of your location I hope you is told how impactful his interactions have been already.Michael R.

Went to pick up truck and learned that your 15' is not really a 15' truck. Advised that it's 3' shorter due to overhead. Quoted $950 including tax for 20'. I was charged $1,068. Called and spoke with several people and was told that I would be provided a $98 refund. Still have not seen it. I will never use UHAUL again. Penske will get my business moving forward.Chris B.

No dolly was available despite pre-booking and location was much further than original location I had chosen. Staff was slow and â€œout of itâ€. Signage for finding the rental pickup wasn't obvious off the road so wasted time finding the right spot too. Mostly annoyed about the dolly. Specially called Uhaul to secure me another one at a closer location to my move and one was reserved and lo and behold, once I get there, there's no dolly there either. Wasted another 45min of my time just driving there and back for no reason, never mind the extra 40min already added by the location change for the truck. I am unlikely to use Uhaul again - this was absurd and unprofessional.Reed W.
Customer service was by far the worst I have experienced in years. We waited over 20 minutes to be served, with 1 person at the counter in front of us and 3 employees working the counter. No one even acknowledged our presence. By the time someone acknowledged us there were 6 other people in line behind us. After processing the paperwork we were told to go outside to get the trailer. An employee told us to find the trailer on our own and he would be there in a few minutes to hook it up. He then proceeded to wash a truck (that no one was waiting for) for over 20 more minutes. Finally, an area manager from another location found someone to help us. We were there for an hour and 15 minutes for an interaction that took all of 10 minutes to process. This experience was after I was called only 1 hour before my reservation and told I needed to drive 25 miles further to a location because my original location did not have a trailer available. This team was extremely unprofessional at many points. They messed me up very badly at the beginning of my rental and I was told by the GM that the company's Marketing Company President said to not give me any refund. It was a terrible experience at the beginning and because of that I didn't want to pay 172 for 8 days of storage rental. I was told that I need to pay it all except for a late fee or I wouldn't be able to retrieve my items. I need better service here but I would never recommend this a UHaul. They put my life in danger by knowingly giving me a truck that was down for repair for it's brakes. Do not go to this location. I got this storage in July of last year. And had it to date I've had issues 2 times which wasn't my doing. No one seems to know what happened. First issue my lock was change and like I said no one knew what happened, so they gave me another lock. Second issue I was told led once I got an email asking me to give feedback on my move out (which was a surprise to me). So I called and the lady told me that I moved out and into another locker which was not true so another issue with someone. Again nobody knows what happened smh. So they moved me back into the original locker and then they go up on the locker like it was my fault. They just went up the same month this happened. I have never been late and some months I even paid early I guess the only thing I did wrong was paying my Locker fee on time smh. To this day no one has contact me about this issue. I was there for about six months and they increased the rent prices. The storage unit has no light. When I moved out there was a unoccupied vehicle in front of the ramp and I could not access my unit. The office staff advised that it's normal for homeless people to sleep in their storage units and vehicles and that they couldn't do anything about it! Terrible experience workers were not helpful and not friendly. It was difficult to reach anyone by phone at this facility. Was unable to get into the storage unit several times because the key cards were not working and workers took forever to open the gates. Several staff were rude and there is always a long wait. Storage hours are not long enough or fair unless you pay more for 24 hour storage. this was a horrible experience i will never use this company again the only reason uhaul stays open is because there are few storage companies around. Customer service call center is also terrible to i called to make a payment on my storage unit the worker stated she processed my payment well turns around she didn't and I had to pay late fees. Nobody at the front desk new what they were doing except for one person. After setting me up with a storage unit I was informed that I would have to carry my belongings up stairs. I can't climb stairs let alone with boxes in my hands. When I check my bank statement I saw that I was charged for the unit. This was a terrible experience overall. I went to my unit to take off the lock and officially move out and what should have taken 5 minutes took over and hour. There were uhaul customers with moving trucks in the driving lane at the facility I was in blocking the exit. I was unable to get out of the facility and they refused to move. I tried to call the customer service team at the specific office I was at and they apparently do not have a direct line so I was talking to some at uhaul "corporate" that was 100 % unhelpful. He was trying to get ahold of the workers on site, but was unsuccessful. We stayed on the phone for over 30 minutes in silence while he "waited". I was unable to find another exit for me and my daughter. She was starving, had a dirty diaper, and was screaming during the entire time because what it thought was going to be a few minutes was an hour. Vanessa constantly took home my unit key on several occasions. I spoke with Anna, the GM, and she wasn't anymore help then anyone else I spoke with. My experience was horrible and I would never use them again or advise anyone else to use them either. Actually want to seek legal services for my situation. It states the facility is open 24 hours, but that's only if the keys are available for your unit and not off property with the manager. I was never given an explanation as to why the manager Vanessa had my unit keys in her possession off duty. Very unprofessional place of business and poor customer service. I took off work to move, hired movers, and got a I haul to move just to be told to wait until Monday because the manager was out due to a family emergency. I understand things happen, but what I don't understand is why my unit key wasn't there? Why she took it with her? I went to the facility three times and all three times they were not there. Your pricing is too high compared to others and you advertise one price that when you want to book a unit, you find that the cheaper price is upstairs in the back and your sign says insurance is optional but you are then told that it is mandatory and the cost is not based on unit size and is very over priced for the amount of coverage. When I moved in it took 45min-1 hr to get the facilities lock off of the door so I could move stuff in. Very inconvienient. Their are no lights in the unit, so I used my phone light. My phone ended up falling and breaking the screen. If there was ample light, I wouldn't have had to use my phone, and the screen wouldn't have cracked ($200 break). When moving in, there were several loaded trailers sitting in the lanes to park in. Made it very difficult to park the 20 foot truck I rented. Why did those trailers not have a storage? They were just sitting in the way. I won't be back to this storage or rent trucks here ever again. Very bad experience all around.Matthew B. | Expérience générale

When I moved my things out they continued, for months, emailing me and telling me that I had a bill due. I called several times and spoke with several different people about getting the situation resolved and no one fixed the issue. Then I was told that my belongings were going to be auctioned and I don't understand why or how because I had already moved everything and paid my bills in May. Not enough personnel working at front counter. VERY SLOW SERVICE. One person working, with several people standing around. Storage unit was almost impossible to access. Parking/unloading area crowded with big storage pods. Security gates to storage area were open most of the day. The cancellation process was horrendous. You can't cancel online & when you call, no one can help you. I called twice & had to drive to the facility to cancel. The whole process too much of my time. Once we had all our things loaded into the Uhaul and 4 other vehicles full with things as well, we drove from OC to the storage unit, it had a padlock on it. Apparently the clerk forgot to have the lock taken off. She was nice but trying to help to many people at one time. We had to bring the Uhaul to my mom's house until the next day. We paid 5 people to help load and unload for nothing. We tried calling the General Manager but she wouldn't answer, according to her, her phone was uncharged. We only needed the storage unit for 2 weeks but had to pay for a month. The GM did let us have the truck all day today and a free lock.Cecelia L. | Premières impressions
