Jiawei L.We had issues from the very get go the truck car hauler . The truck was dirty and smelled bad . I have pictures of the inside of the truck on how dirty it was . This is the worst experience I have had with U-Haul. Very disappointed in the overall experience especially for what we had to pay for rental and returning the car hauler 3 days early and returning the U-Haul truck 2-1/2 days early. Not to mention when we went to drop off we had to go further down the road then the first initial drop point . Just very unhappy with total experience

RICHARD M.The customer service was overall, lousy, and the equipment did not meet my needs. I didn't catch his name, but he was a silver haired-middle aged gentleman that was just not nice. When I asked him a question about receiving my trailer, his response was one that was “gruff†and with a definite tone of annoyance as he told me to “get in line.†The trailer was marketed as a 5' (60â€) x 9' (108â€). However, my lawn mower with a 48†deck would not fit. Therefore, the trailer was useless, and I had to return it to a location with employees who clearly had better things to do than serve their customers. The only words spoken to me at drop off (while he was facing the opposite direction, pushing the trailer back to its place) was, “your final receipt will be emailed to you.†I will NEVER utilize this location again!
JACOB M.Your app needs work. There are far too many menus and it doesn't talk to the servers well. When you set up something with the app the employees at the location don't know about you even setting an appointment. All in all you can get the job done but your process is more frustrating than it needs to be.

NICHOLAS C.Have a more helpful staff. When I arrive to pick the truck up the staff was great. When I went to drop off the truck no one was at the return green tent. So I drove the truck to the front door. I went in to let them know that I was there to drop off truck. Everyone was helping others and when it was time they all looked at me like I was crazy. And then one of reps told me to drive the truck back to the green truck and someone will meet me there. So I went back to the truck to take it to the text and another rep came out of the building saying mame I will drive it over and process your return shortly. I thank him. And when I got home to check my email I see that I was charged for additional mileage. The additional mileage fee should be taken off because I drove around the building making my mileage go up. I also think mileage fees should be waived or cancelled if the truck is rented for local usage. I Would like for a manager to call me back.

BETTIE D.I got off to a rough start. I was late for my pick up time, but the truck assigned to me was late getting back and the technician was just finishing up the cleaning and sanitizing. I had ordered a dozen furniture pads but they were not in the truck. I emailed U-Haul and I was not charged (thank you!). Everything after that went very well. The truck ran fine, it was clean and easy to drive. The return was easy and overall a very good experience. I would highly recommend U-Haul, especially this location!!

SHARON W.My comments are in general and not at this location. I rented the equipment on line at my preferred location one week before needing the equipment. One day prior I get a call from the regional office saying I needed to pick up the equipment all the across town. There was no remorse or an apology asking if this was ok or nothing. Just assumed this was all ok with no customer appreciation for what an inconvenience this was for the customer. Very poor communication skills and then was told we are spending too much time on the phone when they put me on hold 3 or 4 times but it was my fault for trying to compromise on a workable solution. Overall was really disappointed in the way I was treated. Certainly in my opinion there is customer communication training at the Indianapolis regional office. Will definitely consider an alternative supplier in the future.

BETH P.Inspect the equipment before renting it out. The tow dolly i rented had broken straps and was completely unsafe for towing a vehicle! I ended up using a chain instead of the dolly. I let the guy who unloads and cleans equipment know and he didn't seem too concerned. But he was respectful and said he'd make note of it.
MICHAEL K.I attempted to rent a 6x12 enclosed trailer on Thursday morning, the 11th of March only to be told that the system was down and to come back. When I returned that afternoon another associate said that I didn't need to return but to come in on Friday morning to pick up trailer. The next morning when I arrived the manager was working the desk and when I told him I tried calling, he said he does not answer his cell phone because UHaul does not pay him enough. I think the rate for renting was outrageous -700,00 $. I even had trouble turning it in. UHaul has some work to do in customer service. Steve Collins. 252-377-7227.
STEVEN C.They did not have the truck I ordered 2 days prior to pickup. Had to drive way out of my way to pick up another truck at a different location. My order clearly stated pickup at Southern Plaza on East St. VERY UNHAPPY CUSTOMER.

I had previously went to a different location where it was a complete mess, the truck was nasty and it wasn't running correctly I just canceled the reservation. I will only rent from south east street. Eric and Kevin went the extra mile not only for me but for other customers. Thank you! I'll be back!

I didn't get to the facility until after hours it took me 45 minutes to find my unit for me only to discover that I could not install a washer and dryer in it as it was an upper level Unit. I was unable to exchange unit for a more appropriate one so I ended up having to cancel my friend home find another place for my belongings and still had to pay for one month of rental when I never actually accessed it.
