This by far is ONE OF THE WORST Uhaul RENTAL I HAD. I was told by rep that I could NOT do a destination drop off. Weren't willing to talk about options of leaving it to the city I was moving to. His excuse was that the truck belongs to them solely and that I would be charged triple the price if I drop off at a different location. I will never be returning to this location. I will like a call from a manager or customer support team to fix. I am not a happy customer. I had to drive the truck back another 181 miles. This is an extra 181 $dollars plus fuel. Have gas within the truck. The person picking up the truck shouldn't have to be shelling out more money at a gas station. Also, your trucks are NOT fuel efficient. That's blatant false advertising. I shouldn't have to stop three times in same state (in this case, Ohio) just refuel. I pissed away nearly 250 $in one of your gas guzzlers. One of the main things that pisses me off, however, is your rates. I was moving through 4 states, Indiana to Maryland, which only takes an average of 8 hours. I don't see the reason to charge anyone four days for a trip that averages the aforementioned 8 hours. I can understand the mileage. I can also understand if you charge the four days and paid back the difference, but you don't even do that. That's basically stealing. Then, when I bring the truck back, neat and clean, you're going to try to charge my card another 400 $+ on top the 770 $+ I had to spend the day before because someone at the headquarters couldn't hear the word "probably," and cancelled my existing order, making me pay approximately 200 $more dollars. I sincerely hope that I remember NEVER to use this company again for moving purposes again. Storage is another story altogether, but at least it's a positive one.KEVIN L.

I drop off trailer guy that checks it in was standing there arguing with his girlfriend on phone for ten minutes saying just a minute it was ten minutes! Then i go in to get my deposit and the black guy behind counter didnt know how to give me back my cash refund and that i had to wait on manager 20 minutes later i get my refund i was only one in store. Overall the trailer served it's purpose but it hadn't been cleaned out from what looked like someone used it for landscaping before me. Make sure that if you rent a U-Haul vehicle online, that you don't wait for them to call you to confirm time, date, pick-up location, and final price. You call them ASAP to confirm all details. Ordering strictly online was not a good experience for us when it came to actually picking up the U-Haul vehicle at our determined preferred location. It wasn't there. It did end up working out but U-Haul's online ordering system is not as 'connected' as it should be. U-Haul did make it right for us in the end.Richard P.
The truck from my original location was dead so I was rerouted here. The truck was not clean in the back and did not have the amount of gas it was said to have had at start. We took pictures. That part worked out, but I had to drive 20 extra miles for this truck because the original one didn't work. I should not be charged for that mileage. I should also receive a discount for the fact this set me 1,5 hours off track for my move. Plus driving to return the truckâ€¦ it was just super inconvenient and nothing was done to compensate for that. I also didn't get the furniture dolly I was supposed to have per my order. I waited 2 hours in line, where 1 person was at the counter complaining more about being the only person at the counter than actually trying to help people. Once I got to the counter, the rep wasn't able to process my payment for my time in the storage unit and asked me to leave and call another time. There were no dollys to fulfill my order. That was imperative to my move because it was just me moving my own boxes. I reserve online, pick all the settings I want. Come to store to complete check in and get trailer. They always add insurance without asking. This time, a few days later, I rented a trailer for 24 hours (because they charge the same fee for few hours or 24). I returned the trailer soon as I was done, which shows on my google history. I had an ABSOLUTE TERRIBLE experience with U-Haul. I was moving from Indiana to North Carolina and I reserved a Truck and an auto transport trailer a week in advance at my preferred pick up location. I was notified that I would receive a phone call two days prior to the scheduled pick up day to confirm my reservation and location. The next day I received a text messaging saying to call this location to confirm my requested equipment. I called the number and they told me that they did not have any equipment for me but they would have a representative call me back that day, which I NEVER received a call. Then two days prior to me moving (when U-Haul should have been calling me to confirm my pick up location, I received an email saying my reservation had been cancelled. I called U-Haul, I was on hold for 25 min, and then they hung up on me. I called again the next morning and they claimed that they called and left me a voicemail but I did not call back in time so they cancelled my order. I NEVER received a phone call. One day before my move they reserved me a truck and an auto trailer at different locations across town and at different times. I Arrived to pick up my truck and the employee states that they person who had my truck was supposed to return it as 7am that morning but hadn't (it was 1pm) and the employee just now called that customer 6 hours later??? The customer said he would return it within an hour but it ended up being 3 HOURS LATER, with NO PENALTY for returning it late. After loading my truck and having to drive across town to the other location loaded my car onto the trailer to find out the tire strap was broken and I have to take my car back off of the trailer. Never had just a terrible experience with U-Haul but I plan to use other moving companies from now on for future moves.Chandler F.

I thought the online processes were going to be helpful, but it wasn't. I went into the rental office to get directions to my unit and make sure I had the right size and the gentleman that helped me acted like he was put out to help. I had rented the unit before the truck and after I rented the truck was given a month's free rent. When I went to get information on my unit and upgraded the unit I mentioned it and was asked if the truck rental was local or out of state and when I said it was local, the guy told me that it doesn't qualify! I came back in a couple of days later and started the online check in for the truck and when I went in the guy helping me had the wrong name and told me the rental was canceled and then he said my rental must not have gone through and was being argumentative about it. I had to pull up the text confirmation to get the truck! When I made the reservation I included a dolly and furniture pads and upon finishing the rental was told there isn't a dolly, I was refunded for it but still. The whole process was pressing! I went in the building to return the uhaul and was told to take the key outside and someone will get it then was told to pull up to equipment return and someone will check it in and send me a receipt. I sat there for 25 minutes and no one bothered to stop and speak to me until I decided to leave. The big units are upstairs when they should be on bottom floor. I had this reservation to pick up my truck from 3740 N HIGH SCHOOL RD in INDIANAPOLIS. I arrived 15 minutes early and was told my reservation was canceled, no one reached out to me. They gave me the phone number of (317) 225-5963 to call to see what happened. They told me my reservation had been moved to 4011 S EAST ST in INDIANAPOLIS. After driving all the way there, they told me that they didn't have my truck either. After they called around, they then realized that they did have the truck. They let me know that I would be getting the 50 $reservation guarantee refunded to me as well as extra mileage due to me having to drive farther out. Today I see I was charged 50 $from the 3740 N HIGH SCHOOL RD in INDIANAPOLIS location. I have no idea why I have been charged this and the whole situation was very frustrating. The store front did exceptional work. The customer service on the phone was AWFUL. The women we spoke to on the phone when we faced some issues with scheduling and pick up was rude and very disrespectful. She made everything out to be my fault and regardless of what my husband and I told her, she would not stop blaming us and making us feel as if we would not get a truck. She very impatiently referred us to this store which was not where we originally were to pick up. I probably will not book with U-Haul again because her customer service was awful and not helpful. When the customer has issues with retrieving a truck, I think a little more understanding and respect should be given. I was moving my son from another state I needed somewhere to store his washer and dryer. I didn't get to the facility until after hours it took me 45 minutes to find my unit for me only to discover that I could not install a washer and dryer in it as it was an upper level Unit.
