Dropped 10 hours into a 2-day rental of trailer but could not get the app to recognize the location. Location charged me 20 $for after hours drop off because the app didn't work. Ridiculous fee for something I had no control over. I followed the instructions but it simply would not work. It adds insult to injury for the location to then charge me for the app not functioning properly. The location knew when I dropped it off and where I dropped it off and was only concerned enough to make sure the contract stated they could charge me the 20 $. A blatant rip-off!Roy T.

The truck drives terrible, front end steering is bad, and it wanders all over the road AND the windshield wiper blades were junk! The truck was a mess(dirt,leaves,mud) they gave me a discount which was ok but they charged me 14 $which I declined 3 times and told them I didn't want!!!!! I rented a 2 wheel dolly to help with my move. The attendant very kindly loaded it for me along with pads and a furniture dolly. Therefore I didn't have opportunity or reason to check the condition of the dolly. However when I started loading and went to use the dolly, both of the tire were completely flat, no air in them at all. Additionally the tires were completely off the rims so there was no seal and no way for me to inflate them, though I have an inflator and gave it a try anyway. Hence the dolly was absolutely useless to me and a waste of money. Fortunately one of my helpers brought a dolly or we would have been in a bind. If possible I'd like a refund for the dolly rental. Besides this problem the rental experience was good, the personnel with whom I interacted were professional and friendly. The truck itself was quite a rough ride but that's probably to be expected and it did it's job for me with no problems.ROBERT H.

I rented a pick-up about two months ago and there was a 100 $deposit that was not mentioned online. This time, the deposit was 200 $. I understand these deposits can vary upon location, but perhaps when a reservation is made at these locations that require a deposit, someone should contact the customer and let them know. Not everyone has the money for a deposit to be held for a couple days and it shouldn't be a surprise on the day you pick it up. Also, this location needs to open on time. For the second time since July they were not open at the time stated on the door. Some of the staff at this location is a bit rude.Kristen H.
The location never opens on time. This time they didn't open there up until after 7:30 Am so it was over 30-min late opening and made us late for our appointment. The inside of the truck was dirty with blankets still inside. The trucks are always very low on gas too. Something needs to be done at this location to get it opened on time everyday!!! ThanksKYLE E.

Learn when a customer asks for a car dolly, that they are actually needing a car dolly not some other kind of trailer. These employees didn't even know that a Volkswagen Golf was a car. It took 3 people over an hour to figure out what I was telling them. Listen to your customers. Don't wait for your turn to talk. The service was pathetic.ADAM W.

horrible communication skills both in person and via the web site. Shuffled from one "division" to another and each saying it was "not their responsibility". U Box not ready on the day it was ordered on line and the store says "we don't get them ready on Sunday" even tho store was open. This was after 3 tries to order in person and two attempts on line where I finally got a reservation that was not a reservation. Made a reservation thru U Haul moving help to have U Box delivered. The phone number of the "recommended" mover was not ever answered.and voice mail was full. Second "recommended" mover cancelled. Horrible wait times whenever trying to contact any U Haul location or service and the web site little to no help - it is very confusing. Overall would be reluctant to recommend or us again. Do not use U Box unless you are willing to be VERY patient and willing to absorb frustration.James L.
Had a 9:00 appointment for a hitch install on 10/11. Employee that does the hitches was not there and did not arrive until almost noon. Another woman was there for a hitch too and had come in at 8. The General Manager told us he would give both of us a 50 $refund for being patient and our inconvenience. I ended up spending almost 8 hrs waiting for an estimated 1 hr job and so far no refund. This business does not answer their phone and emails to u -haul email aren't answered. Manager is a liar and the guy at the counter said it wasn't unusual for hitch guy to be late. You would think with 2 waiting prepaid customers the Manager would go give the hitch guy a ride in. Find another location if you need a hitchLinda A.

Truck was clean but didn't have the Dolly I paid for. They were closed as soon as I walked out the door so couldn't get it. The gentleman at the counter was nice but there were a few mistakes at billing. Just seems there needed to be more training for the staff or a manager on duty. This store was severely understaffed. Only two people on the property, one to take returned equipment and one to assist the long line of customers. However, they got the job done, but at the expense of many customers losing time on their moving experience. Everything went wrong with my UHaul reservation, at every single step. From changing my pick-up location less than 24 hours before my move, to the employee handing me a document with a different drop-off location than I booked 3 weeks prior and telling me they couldn't change it and to call a phone number, to the customer service reps not apologizing for making a clusterf*ck of my move and offering no viable fix to the problems they created, to THEN being told I couldn't drop off on a Sunday when that was my original booking, to the UHaul storage unit I booked not being available when I showed up with a truck full of belongings and hired labor...a total disaster from start to finish. I am moving again in 3 weeks and will not book with you guys. I am telling friends and family and my 5K instagram followers that they can never trust a UHaul reservation. And I will never use you again.Erin G.

Our reservation was for another location. We got booted to this location AFTER driving to the location we reserved with in the first place. We also had to stand in line at both locations, resulting in an hour of our reserved time being wasted and the location we got moved to was 5 miles further from our home than the reserved location resulting in additional mileage charges. My experience was bad from the beginning. I arrived at 8am to get my rental and was told it was rescheduled to 12pm. When I arrived at U-Haul at 12pm I had to wait in a long line. When I finally got to the counter they told me my reservation was canceled. That got fixed and I was given a smaller truck than I had reserved. I requested a storage unit and was given a unit far away from the location I was at due to the employees credentials not being transfered to his new store. This was the perfect choice for us and our move from RI to IN, having no housing lined up and needing to store our household goods for several months. Everyone at Uhaul involved from beginning to end were helpful, knowledgeable and professional. No hidden costs, no unexpected delays. All of our goods and furniture arrived in the same condition as when we packed them, and it was evident that our 4 boxes were stored and handled with care. Having never been there before, we had no idea where to go. The only signs were for returning the trailors, not where to go to get help in doing so. After driving around the entire building a couple times, we decided to go in one of the entries, which just happened to be the right entry way. Once we found out we were in the right place, we were helped, and the rest of the transaction went well. You should put a sign on the door letting people know where they are supposed to go. I made a reservation for a 10ft box truck. When I arrived they didn't have the truck I reserved. I was given a 15ft. truck. I was charged for the Safe move coverage. I made the arrangements for your storage unit at the same time i reserved a u haul rental truck. I was told at that time that the unit was on the first floor and the cost was 109,95 $ a month. When i went to the storage facility i was told the unit was not on the first floor and the cost for a unit was 129,95 $ a month for a unit on the first floor. I showed the gentleman my paperwork stating the quoted cost and explained i cannot do the stairs at my age and since there is no elevator i have to use a first floor unit. He told me the person i spoke with does not know this facility and does not know what are first floor units. I asked to speak with a manager and was told the manager was not there. I asked him to write down the name of the manager so i could call to get the pricing resolved. He did not do this. I am also unhappy that the first floor unit is smaller than the other one due to the ceiling height. The other issue is the lack of lighting in the unit. The manager lied to me. I reserved an appliance cart however at check in told me they had none. While hooking up the trailer I noticed 2 carts on the fenced area. Thanks to the rep that was helping me I was able to get one. Wow! What a character flaw!DALE S.
Staff was distracted and not helpful. I went to Jasper, IN to pick up items. The trip down was fine, but for whatever the reason, for the trip back the windshield wipers did not work (fortunately all the rain occurred on the way down), the turn signal did not work (creating a safety hazard) and the air conditioning did not work. The cab was sweltering for the 3 1/2 hour drive home - very uncomfortable and I could not signal for lane changes. Very unsatisfactory, particularly when I spend a lot of money on mileage for a piece of equipment that was sub-par. When I reported this to the staff upon the return of the vehicle, they were not concerned or sympathetic.JAY N.

Scheduled a hitch installation appointment on Sunday and came in just for them to tell me they don't do that on Sundays and to come in Monday at 8, saying the hitch guy came in at 7. I came in at 8 and the man who was supposed to install my hitch didn't come in until 11. Then what should have been an estimated 1,5 hour installation took 3 hours. I was at the site for 7 hours. I paid for the installation up front and they charged me an extra 63 $after I left. The GM gave me his number but when I tried to contact him and was unable to leave a voicemail because his mailbox was full. I will NEVER use Uhaul to move again and will be telling others who speak to me about moving to not use them.Raeanne F.

The truck they gave me was wedged in-between several other trucks. It took forever for them to get it out. At 1st the lot attendant didn't help me, he just pointed and said it's that row. Then he did come over and move it. Which was very nice. Should just see what truck is first in line and assign it. It would have been nice if the office person had told me where to go. Not a terrible experience, but you already made me drive 8 miles farther than I wanted to get the truck, then the service was disappointingSTACY F.

The staff outside was very disrespectful and rude when I was told to ask him to get the blankets and dolly. He stated that the ppl inside were idiots and had â€œno fucking clue what they r doingâ€ which I was very upset about the language the man inside did come out and help me but the equipment I reserved they did not have. Then when got into the truck I took pictures it was filthy with cigarette ashes all over the floor and cup holder I can supply those pictures. I returned before the store closed and was told that they had my debit card and he with45 mins till closing did not have the time to get me checked out so I knew how much I was going to be charged. I wanted to make sure that the dolly I was charged for that they didn't have was not charged to my card. So I found the experience I had was very disappointing! I have rented from uhaul many times and never had been treated so bad. My mom had passed away on Tuesday and I had to get her apartment cleaned out so all the stress I was dealing with then to be treated the way I was just made things worse. Idk if this will change anything by writing this review for ure company but needed someone to listen and hear me when I called today I got hung up on 3 times and never found out how much my barge was going to be or if they fixed the dolly issue on my card and when I told them the truck was nasty filthy is when I was hung up onpls feel free to call 317-832-0691 Johnna cornett is my name thank uJOHNNA C.

Horrible almost EVERYTHING! The fact i had to come back to fix a problem that should have been resolved the same day as it happened just by following the order of return but instead it caused a whole mess and a half and multiple trips and even more reversed payments and staff being embarrassing loud and over talking me when I was explaining things to my grandmother. But honestly If I hadn't kept my multiple original copies of the transactions I would most likely still be told the wrong information about the reversed transactions and made to think that I need to pay because I didn't pay for anything because I'm getting first months rent free when infact I had proof to prove them wrong and not end up getting overcharged. It is infallible to think that employees and even employers would tolerate such an act of unproffessionablism towards the customers.Amanda S. | Expérience générale
I reserved a Ubox and they did not jave one but failed to let me know in advance even after the fact that they had a note put in 2 days earlier that the customer should be notified since there was no uBox available. I drove with all my stiff for loading to the location to find that u box is not available. I was flying out the next day and hence had no alternatives . Workers were all incredibly disinterested in helping me with anything. Was told there was an elevator but there was not one for my unit. Also was told there would be a lock in my unit, had to go ask the customer service people for one, they were still rude about it. Easy experience just bad customer service. The storage is very easy to access, the staff is friendly and we all receive an individual set of password to get in to the storage, which I think is safer. I waited 2 hours in line, where 1 person was at the counter complaining more about being the only person at the counter than actually trying to help people. Once I got to the counter, the rep wasn't able to process my payment for my time in the storage unit and asked me to leave and call another time.
