In the morning there the was a long line, going extremely slow. The three agents were not working normally, the computers were totally slow . All the customers frustrated really. Change u you our computer and update your old dates system! I was only with Dieved when I dropped up the vehicle. He was kind and helpful. The rest was awful and worst.

In addition, they didn't install the chain stops on the end of the chains. While driving, I head the trailer making quite a bit of noise over certain road conditions/bumps. I came to find out that the Columbus location informed us what had been done and that had the trailer come unhitched for any reason, the safety chains could have easily failed. The fact that this UHAUL store put us in this danger is honestly hard to process. I now know why I had several different close calls on the road with people unable to see/understand when I was changing lanes. I will NEVER use this UHAUL store again. I called to tell UHAUL about my experience and tell them this wasn't right and they took my name and registered a "Support Case" and basically said they would refund 1/2 of the rental. HALF? Seriously? What in the world is that about? They put me in a VERY hazardous situation and don't refund the ENTIRE rental. Just plain crazy...I can't believe they had the audacity to suggest a 50 % charge for this service. NEVER AGAIN. And, I will tell anyone and everyone I get the chance about NOT using this Store.

Thomas S.When refilling to required level (just past the 3/4 tank which was recorded as 7/8s lol) the gas gauge stopped at 3/4 tank (I stopped pumping and started vehicle twice - no change). Ended up filling up the tank (the pump stopped) not by choice. As I pulled onto the road - the gauge went past the FULL mark. $4,19/gallon of an extra 1/4 tank ($59,08 for 56 miles) due to the faulty vehicle gauge. Only consideration by management was a $20 off NEXT rental. What a fucking joke.

I asked to speak to the manager and he tossed me his card and told me he didn't know where he was. I walked the whole facility until I found the manager who then took care of my reservation. I will never return to this location again and I hope this employee was fired.

I had friends there, too, who had woken up early to help and we all had to wait. Upon opening the clerk gave the excuse that there were cars racing on the road the night before/ parking in the parking lot? The lady behind us was supposed to have a 6:30 pick up that was not set up, either. Guy at the counter apologized but mostly laughed it off and opened with no sense of urgency as the line moved slowly. If it had been me I would have been typing as fast as I could, and kept chit chat to a minimum (him and the 1st guy in line had a whole side conversation...). I mentioned that we should have been notified and he was like, yeah, I probably should have done that last night like the thought had never occurred to him. Not impressed, very disappointed. Would like at least a partial refund.

I called and found that my Uhaul had been checked in but I owed 85$ for returning the Truck with 1/8 tank. I called in and was informed that gas had been stolen between the time I returned it and when it was eventually checked it. I was told that I would be refunded that money. However I was not. I will not be back to this location.

Then I waited in line for an entire hour while the sole employee helped one or two customers, then went off on a call with someone from another store about the shipping of a part. After waiting for AN HOUR after my reservation, I was told that the truck I reserved was completely unavailable, and to come back later. I came back later, and the employee tried to give me a small cargo van when I reserved a 20ft truck. Your delay completely spoiled my move, and wasted dozens of man hours between the people I had show up to help me move at the time I reserved. Despite the PALTRY $50 credit, I will NEVER EVER use U-Haul again, and I will be sure to let everyone I know just how horrible of an experience your store was.

I originally reserved a truck and trailer at another location, only to find out 2 hours before pickup time that the trailer was not available. The reservation was transferred to the 4011 S East St location because I was told both were available there. After arriving, I was told neither were available there. I ended up having to settle for a truck that was 1 size larger, but no trailer was available at all. Inter-store communication should have been better with regards to equipment availability.

I was supposed to receive an open trailer that was reserved however it was not available! Thankfully I was able to use a different type of trailer and get the job done! It was over stressful and could have gone alot smoother. Felicia T.While I would recommend this location to a friend, I would NOT recommend U-Haul as a company. My online reservation was a total disaster. I reserved a truck from a specific location, only to arrive and get told they have no reservation for me. My reservation was at the above referenced location. Upon further investigation, I discovered I had made the reservation correctly and U-Haul decided to change it without informing me (other than another text msg telling me it was time, once again, to complete my online reservation). Once I arrived at the updated location (considerably further from my house) they informed me that they didn't have a truck for me (even though there were clearly many trucks in their parking lot). They complained that online reservations kept sending customers to them even though they did not have the capacity. The employee's were clearly frustrated with the whole thing too. They had me call reservations and request my "reservation guarantee" credit. These words are what got me to a person who finally got me a reservation with a truck that was already on the lot. So, 90 minutes after I was supposed to have a rental truck, I was finally able to drive away with one. This caused everyone, including myself who were there to help me with this move to be late for other commitments they had. Finally, after returning the truck after-hours, U-Haul tried to charge me the full amount without crediting me for the "reservation guarantee". I did, however discover an email was sent to me telling me I should expect to see a credit within 5 business days. I did not notice this until the next day because I don't check my email on a constant basis and nobody communicated that little tidbit of information to me. As I said earlier, I will NEVER use or recommend U-Haul again!
Dan M.I am very happy with experience. The U-Boxes arrived safe and the movers suggested by the U-Haul Move site was very good- Polite and did a good job packing and unloading. One aspect may be improved-- the booking website and subsequent communications could be better. At Times it was confusing which numbers to call for information. For example it was not clear wen the boxes arrived in A Staten Island facility, it will be moved to the Brooklyn Park Slope facility for pick up by the movers in Brooklyn. The helpers on the phone (when able to get through) was polite , professional and very helpful.

The truck she gave me was actually second in line so I asked her to bring the keys out for the first truck in front of it and we went up a little bit so I can get out and I'm not sure why but she just said take the first truck anyway so technically this was the third truck All of this delayed me by a couple hours which at the end of the day didn't matter we got everything done with plenty of time so I'm not really upset at all in anyway shape or form I've done business with you guys a number of times always had good experiences the only thing I would mention is a little bit more attention to detail in this location because someone that checked in the first truck missed the fact that it was full of stuff before they released it to the next customer which happened to Me. Again no big deal it all worked out just something for the overall company to be aware of

It took them 30 min tkk ok locate another one which ended up being two smaller units up a ton of stairs. They put me in 2 smaller units and sold me licks that apparently they don't approve of because every time I came to add or take away things there was an extra lock on my unit. When I went I ask about it they said it's because you have a lock that isn't approved. The lock they sold me and told me to use for my unit. I'm hey have no idea what's going on, what's available or how to maintain the availability. It was a mess and I don't know how they're keeping up with anything at this point.

I requested a storage unit and was given a unit far away from the location I was at due to the employees credentials not being transfered to his new store. I was running a little late getting the truck back and was charged another full day. The employee that fixed my storage unit was extremely helpful!

I was told at that time that the unit was on the first floor and the cost was $109,95 a month. When i went to the storage facility i was told the unit was not on the first floor and the cost for a unit was $129,95 a month for a unit on the first floor. I showed the gentleman my paperwork stating the quoted cost and explained i cannot do the stairs at my age and since there is no elevator i have to use a first floor unit. He told me the person i spoke with does not know this facility and does not know what are first floor units. I asked to speak with a manager and was told the manager was not there. I asked him to write down the name of the manager so i could call to get the pricing resolved. He did not do this. I am also unhappy that the first floor unit is smaller than the other one due to the ceiling height. The other issue is the lack of lighting in the unit. It is very difficult to see to move or find items. I would like to be called about these issues.

The fact i had to come back to fix a problem that should have been resolved the same day as it happened just by following the order of return but instead it caused a whole mess and a half and multiple trips and even more reversed payments and staff being embarrassing loud and over talking me when I was explaining things to my grandmother. But honestly If I hadn't kept my multiple original copies of the transactions I would most likely still be told the wrong information about the reversed transactions and made to think that I need to pay because I didn't pay for anything because I'm getting first months rent free when infact I had proof to prove them wrong and not end up getting overcharged. It is infallible to think that employees and even employers would tolerate such an act of unproffessionablism towards the customers.

I went into the rental office to get directions to my unit and make sure I had the right size and the gentleman that helped me acted like he was put out to help. I had rented the unit before the truck and after I rented the truck was given a month's free rent. When I went to get information on my unit and upgraded the unit I mentioned it and was asked if the truck rental was local or out of state and when I said it was local, the guy told me that it doesn't qualify! I came back in a couple of days later and started the online check in for the truck and when I went in the guy helping me had the wrong name and told me the rental was canceled and then he said my rental must not have gone through and was being argumentative about it. I had to pull up the text confirmation to get the truck! When I made the reservation I included a dolly and furniture pads and upon finishing the rental was told there isn't a dolly, I was refunded for it but still. The whole process was pressing! I went in the building to return the uhaul and was told to take the key outside and someone will get it then was told to pull up to equipment return and someone will check it in and send me a receipt. I sat there for 25 minutes and no one bothered to stop and speak to me until I decided to leave. The big units are upstairs when they should be on bottom floor. This place isn't ran well, the employees seem annoyed to be there. I won't recommend this place for anything.

I didn't get to the facility until after hours it took me 45 minutes to find my unit for me only to discover that I could not install a washer and dryer in it as it was an upper level Unit. I was unable to exchange unit for a more appropriate one so I ended up having to cancel my friend home find another place for my belongings and still had to pay for one month of rental when I never actually accessed it.
