I had my reservation to pick up in grants pass a month in advance. With just a few days to pick up, my location to get the truck was changed to Medford, 45 minutes away which delayed my process by over 3 hours. I had to reschedule both my loading and unloading help in 2 different states. Once a pick up location is reserved, it should be just that.Claude N.
U-haul process is heavily flawed. When checking out using the app I identified that the mileage on the truck did not match the paperwork. Even though I followed the process I was still charged for extra miles as a result. I had to personally go back to the location to get this resolved.Allen M.

Get employees that know the tow capacities of your vehicles, and what they're equipped with. I spent an hour trying to get a guy who worked there to tell me tow capacities then he got back to me with the vehicle weight. The people who worked there were convinced that the vehicles didn't allow slide in tow hitches until I got someone to go look at the slide in tow hitch on the truck. Then I was charged for a two day trip despite telling the guy I would have it for a day.MICHAEL VINCENT B.
I would like to fill out a customer objection form. I was broken down in your truck and the road side assistance failed miserably. This system needs to be changed now. You're company didn't take care of me when I was stranded in the desert for more than 5 hours. Text message is unacceptable communication, especially when you're broken down and stressed out. The truck we rented smelled strongly of cigarette smoke - so much so my daughter who is sensitive to the smell had to get out of the vehicle. Maybe when renting you could request a non smoking vehicle. There were no signs in the truck that prohibited smoking.Margaret B.

I called to make a reservation, which was unable to occur due to the location not being set up for what I reserved over the phone. I was given 24 hours to make new reservations, in a different city 70 miles away, which required me to rent a car with a trailer hitch. Uhaul is disorganized and I felt the services were price-gouging when I could not make other plans with any other company due to the short notice cancellation through Uhaul. I had to call back numerous times to ensure my second order went though, and needed to correct it at least once over the phone after the box had been delivered. The second Uhaul contract stated I would get my box on one day and then it was delivered a day late. I don't think this location is bad, the one in Klamath falls where I originally made the appointment is disorganized and I will discourage as many people as possible from using them. I am not sure which uhaul was responsible for delivering and picking up the box from the final location, however I had to call back twice to ensure it was not taken within 24 hours and reschedule the pickup time. I am not sure why it was not put into the system when I initially made the plans. Or when I called back to ensure the plans, and then incidentally remaking the plans.hannah G.

I found the service was different depending on who was in charge. The older gentleman was attentive, but the younger man spent a lot of time looking at his phone instead of helping customers check out their vehicles for drop off.LESLIE M.

When picking up the equipment, the employees although busy, were sidetracked (talking amongst themselves) and not focused on the customers. The equipment was dirty and the back door had issues. Then when dropping the equipment back off, we waited nearly a half an hour before being helped, charging me for an extra day, leading me to have to contact someone for a refund for the extra charge. I have always used this location in the past and have rented many trucks and trailers there, however after this experience I will think twice before coming back to this location.KiIley M.

Poorly managed storage facility, slow service, pay twice the price for half the space as anywhere else, very few total parking spaces in the lot for customers making storage here inconvenient and slow, be prepared to haul your goods across the property anytime you have to access your unit. I really can't answer the questions regarding the Medford location. My son drove my belongings to the house I bought and returned the truck for me, but I've never been to a location that wasn't clean, so I'm sure it was fine.DIANE A.
The truck was a mess. The AC is stuck on full blast which kills gas mileage. When you turn it off the floor board by the motor is so hot I felt like me feet and legs were melting. My trailer rental was canceled the day prior because it apparently was not being returned on time. I even called two days prior to check and was assured all was good. They offered a 15' truck rental for 150 $but I ended up spending 180 $on gas! I had to have a family member drive my suburban separately so had to pay for that gas also. When i picked up u haul there was a bag with some moving pads floating around in the back og the box van. Keep.in mind that i never used the pads or opened the bag they were in. when i returned the truck and explained it was lose and instantly i got an attitude from dome guy who obviously lacks personal hygiene. With that same wonderful customer service attitude he then accused me of damaging equipment. My 14 year old son mentioned ot was loose then he calls my son a liar! And says hes going to charge my card for something i did not do. At that point i walked out partly due to his bad smell but mostly because i felt like ruining his face. The other manangers there are good people to deal with. Rent from any place. But this location they will steal from you threaten and call your childrem a liar.Virgil C.

While most everyone we spoke to tried to be very helpful and was very nice, our experience with uhaul was less than desirable. We rented two weekends in a row, the first time the man who took the order over the phone forgot to finalize it he computer and so when we showed up we had no truck for us and we had to drive to the next town to pick up what they finally found us....our move was delayed by hours and we were driving 3hrs each way. Also, I got a slightly rude phone call about returning the truck a day earlier than we had asked for so the whole experience was stressful,, we did end up keeping the truck and were charged at the end, it just hadn't been handled the best.. The next weekend we rented in town and the rental outlet never opened to get the uhaul and again we were redirected. The people on the phone customer service were very nice and helpful but again our whole morning was delayed as we waited for someone to come and open and then being redirected. As I said, most uhaul employees tried to make everything work for us, it just wasn't an optimal experience for us.Elbi R.

Have a system that updates and accounts for your short comings. Get more locations that are open for returns on Sundays. That or automatically find location within 10 miles and or allow for a return on the Monday . This was the 3rd and last use of 20 foot truck for moving out of state and every one U Haul made it so much more frustrating.Graeme B.

Gary was really helpful. It had taken me a couple of weeks to find a storage facility with an available storage unit. When I finally had, I booked it right away even though I was unable to get there for a few days. Upon arrival, my access was denied. I purchased a lock from uhaul when I rented my storage they kept locking my unit telling me the lock they sold me was not acceptable. I complained about never being able to access my unit because of faulty key cards and locks on my unit and was met with attitude and poor customer service. They told me they wouldnt lose business ot having me because they are always full anyway terrible employees the only good employee there was having his 1st day at work that says alot. Ive rented from uhaul in the past and have never had a bad experience. It wasn't necessarily the employees fault but honestly I would never go back to a facility where you had to wait for an hour every time to open your storage unit. Apparently the it guy was on leave and the company wouldn't let them hire someone else, so my code to access my storage unit never got programmed into the system. I wasted so many hours of my life trying to get into that stupid storage unit because there was never more than one person. at the front desk and most of them didn't understand why I couldn't just use my code and I got forgotten about so many times. My two year experience with Rogue Valley UHaul was beyond great until the Almeda Fire fallout and the ensuing madness forced us to move out of the area. I found it taxing to deal with all I was dealing with, and then to have UHaul not quickly enough recognize I had extenuating circumstances and aid in ending my contract. It was too much with the no response and continued charging. I do appreciate though that everything has been resolved and thank all who did help to do so. The only thing I had an issue with was getting parking in front of storage units, as a disabled veteran I think parking across the parking lot to get a few things out was a hassle/difficult. You should have one or two spots there specific for loading and unloading storage units infront of units. But all your U-Haul are taking all the parking. Parking was impossible. The reservation had to be redone on 3 separate occasions. Twice in one day within a few hours. The first reservation could not be found. It took almost 40 minutes to check in, I was charged first months rent when it was supposed to be free. The associated could not reverse the charges.
