First, the lady that helped me was great. She finished up the check in process and then came out and hooked up the trailer. The low rating is because I dread coming to this location because there is no room to park or move around to get a trailer and get out. Even today I had to wait 5 to 10 minutes after I was hooked up to a trailer to wait for someone to load their car onto a trailer. I am fact I rented from an another location and they changed it to this one which didn't make me happy either.Dennis P.

I had to wait 4 hours for my install which I was expecting, but it would have been nice to have a better waiting/refreshment area. Perhaps a snack machine and a soda/coffee machine. I would have really liked it if a personnel would have made some fresh coffee in the pot and offered me some cream and sugar. There were two staff who stood out though. The gentleman who checked me in was very helpful and patient and thorough w/my questions. And there was a woman on staff who checked in on me when she realized I had been there a long time. Overall not a bad experience at all - just that one little touch (refreshment area) would have made it a 5 rather than 4 star experience. Thanks!!Angela M.

I got there 2 hrs. ahead of my drop off time to empty my truck into my storage. They could not find my reservation I called the main office & they said it's there & the person in Medford said they could finish my check in. All took 2 1/2 hrs. The main called them & gave them to information they couldn't find. I was shown my storage & I proceeded to empty my truck into.my storage. I am almost 70 yrs old & the place is not handicapp friendly asi had to my things upstairs. There is no elevators to take the fully loaded carts up. So it did take 3 different trailers to get one that would work but the staff was very helpfull in getting a trailer that would work for us Overall are experience was very good just took a little more time then would of liked. Pulled up and two trucks were already in the equipment return area. Got out and looked around but didn't see anyone so we went inside. Two employees were having a conversation about an employee at a Coos Bay location. This went on for quite awhile with no acknowledgement that we were even there. The guy sitting at the desk was staring at his phone and looked like he was playing a game the whole time. Eventually the other worker left and we got a â€œcan I help you?â€ but this felt more like a â€œwhy are you here?â€ vs an actual sincere act of customer service. Explained that we were here to return a truck but it didn't seem like anyone was out there. His only response was â€œhere he comes nowâ€ and then went back to playing on his phone. Behind us a guy came in to find us and go over our truck. For the record this guy was polite, courteous, and friendly. He got us squared away quickly and on our way. He saved an otherwise extremely awkward and unwelcoming situation.Kevin L.

Our company has been working with U-haul for the last 15 years and the staff have always been very friendly and eager to help with our needs.Marie F.
Online reservation easy with my card. That morning spouse dropped me off, 1 hour to meet the movers, that same card was now not accepted as it was making the reservation a week prior. Had to call spouse to come back with another card. Fine. Was told the only truck in my reservation size was on empty and I should hit a station immediately. Half-hour til movers. Get to the truck quarter mile away walk and windshield is frozen over. No scraper in the truck and can't run the defroster cuz, alarmingly low gas. Trek back to the office to ask for an ice scraper to find out they do not have one and only a shoulder shrug as a remedy. On the quarter mile back to the truck with that same credit card determined to use it against 1/8th inch ice, I pass a scrap hoarder going through his storage space (yes, this is ON the U-Haul property where they park their trucks!) Amazingly he had an ice scraper when asked. Movers arriving at my home in 15 minutes. Rush to the truck and use the scraper, run back to the scrap hoarder (almost at a mile now, which is awesome in below freezing morning, btw) thank him and run back to the truck. Clean and turns over nicely, immediately head to closest gas station, but run out of gas AS I'm signaling for the station I see ahead. By the grace of God and probably a slight downhill grade, I coast into the station...but on the wrong side of the tank. Let's just say the gas attendant had better solutions and service than my encounter 30 minutes prior. Oh yeah, movers just arrived at my home at $40/hr. Nice. Put in $20 and FINALLY get on the road late, cold and stressed. Not a good way to start a huge move. Just a terrible cascade of events borne of some easily avoided frustrations.Jeffrey E.

Pricing is very misleading. $20 for in town plus $1,6 / mile. That was fine and I agreed. Then, I was essentially forced to pay an additional $15 fee for insurance. Again, annoying but fine. There was not an obvious way to decline online as my personal insurance covers rentals. As I arrived with my reservation number, I was given a key and was on my way with no paper contact in hand. I returned the truck within 2 1/2 hrs. I believe I drove around 11 miles and was charged $15 for fuel. They said it was my responsibility to refill to the level I picked it up. This is information that I wasn't given and even if I was, I feel it would have been impossible to calculate the minor amount of fuel I used given the inaccurate way to measure. The staff was frankly, very rude and one said I was complaining about â€˜prices and sh$&' to another staff member. I didn't want to waist my own, or anyone else's time so I left and said just charge the card. I understand that prices for services have gone up but $75 for two hours of use is completely unreasonable, I feel. I own a truck and could have used it, just thought for around $40 it would be worth the expenses. Guess lesson learned. Next time I'll hire a handy man for $50/hr to do it themselves. It's really not the money, it's about the absurd misleading pricing and not so friendly staff. Anywho. All the bestJosh P.

My storage room #7 was not optimal due to a concrete beam coming down from above about halfway into the room. When I rented the uhaul it had been left open and homeless people had opened the bag in the back with the blankets. There was water which I had to clean up. The gas was between 1/4 and 1/2 and I brought it back to that. I was told it needed to be 7/16 and that it was at 1/4 so I went out and took a pic as proof. I then asked why he was lying? He said I could take it up with the manager tomorrow. I rented this uhaul for $90 intown (39,99) and then added a day at $45 I was charged over $220 which I will be disputing if not made right on monday.William N.

My UBox was scheduled to pickup 21st Oct then Medford UHaul called and requested to move the date to 13th Oct - a week earlier because of carrier issues and I was promised to delivered by Oct-28th in PA. But till 1st of Nov it didn't move out of Medford after my complaint and number of calls. However, after that shipping dept acted quickly and delivered the Box by Nov-7th and offered refunds for the delay. It was hard time from Oct-28th to Nov 7th without things to start a new life in new place like PA. Anyway, I appreciate all your efforts to make this move completed.Dasarathan V.

I reserved a truck for 10-6-22, got confirmation on my phone. When I arrived they couldn't find the reservation. Made me start all over and made the whole process take forever. But us badly behind schedule and still had over 3 hr drive to get back. The online quote was much lower than what I was charged in person. The only complaint I have is about the truck rental .... I ended up having to use it for a few extra days , and I did not have my phone service working at the time , but I could use the Uhaul app through wifi , but for some reason my truck rental was not showing up on my account otherwise I would have extended the rental on there. Although it probably wouldn't have helped my balance at all ... ended up paying like 170 for 3 days plus mileage , which I have no idea how I traveled 67 miles in medford alone ? I rented another unit and it took the employee 4 tries to properly submit new entry for unit. She was cussing about the computer system not letting her and another unit. She finally after we waited almost an hour got the unit and we started loading our things in it. When it came time to lock it up the lock holes were not even so I couldn't put our lock on it. I explained this to lady and she said let me go try after waiting again she came back and said ok I'm gonna have to call maintenance to fix this. In the meantime she put a small lock of her own on our new unit and didn't give us a key. We returned on Sunday the next day and the doors were being painted and we were told we'd have to come back in a few hours. No access to our stuff. On Monday I returned to the small lock on our unit still on and not even locked just hanging there unlocked. Maintenance has still not fixed the lock. She still has her lock on our storeage unlocked so basically I paid nearly 100 to put our belt ngings in a unit we cannot lock we were not able to access it on Sunday when we needed to get clothes for my daughter for school. So I'd really love my money back. The employee should have offered us a unit that was capable of shutting and locking. Also if painting doors that should be done on hours that are closed to business. This was the most horrible experience. After driving 5+ hours and an email that said that the storage facility was open 5-10pm we were told that they don't allow people to load in after 5. We had literally no other place to put our stuff other than a small hotel room. We had a 5x5x5 unit and it's not like it would've taken us long to fill it. On top of that the facility was disgusting as well as the guys who were working. It was grossly irresponsible to use an excuse of we just haven't update our information on our email as justification for not allowing people but 10 minutes to load their unit. Poorly managed storage facility, slow service, pay twice the price for half the space as anywhere else, very few total parking spaces in the lot for customers making storage here inconvenient and slow, be prepared to haul your goods across the property anytime you have to access your unit. I purchased a lock from uhaul when I rented my storage they kept locking my unit telling me the lock they sold me was not acceptable. I complained about never being able to access my unit because of faulty key cards and locks on my unit and was met with attitude and poor customer service. They told me they wouldnt lose business ot having me because they are always full anyway terrible employees the only good employee there was having his 1st day at work that says alot. It wasn't necessarily the employees fault but honestly I would never go back to a facility where you had to wait for an hour every time to open your storage unit. Apparently the it guy was on leave and the company wouldn't let them hire someone else, so my code to access my storage unit never got programmed into the system. I wasted so many hours of my life trying to get into that stupid storage unit because there was never more than one person. at the front desk and most of them didn't understand why I couldn't just use my code and I got forgotten about so many times. I came in on my one day off, I packed all day and planned to move quickly after picking up the truck. I arrived and Gary was so slow, unhelpful and Unknowledgeable. My two year experience with Rogue Valley UHaul was beyond great until the Almeda Fire fallout and the ensuing madness forced us to move out of the area. I found it taxing to deal with all I was dealing with, and then to have UHaul not quickly enough recognize I had extenuating circumstances and aid in ending my contract. It was too much with the no response and continued charging. I do appreciate though that everything has been resolved and thank all who did help to do so. The only thing I had an issue with was getting parking in front of storage units, as a disabled veteran I think parking across the parking lot to get a few things out was a hassle/difficult. You should have one or two spots there specific for loading and unloading storage units infront of units. But all your U-Haul are taking all the parking. Parking was impossible. The reservation had to be redone on 3 separate occasions. Twice in one day within a few hours. The first reservation could not be found. It took almost 40 minutes to check in, I was charged first months rent when it was supposed to be free. The associated could not reverse the charges.
