Rental return was horrible. I returned trailer at 9:30am, less than 24 hours after renting and it was not checked in until 1:30pm so was charged 2 days. When I contacted the manager (Greg) he was clueless at first, talking about millage costs (non-existant on trailers) and other things, and then falsely accused me of yelling at him before telling me I was wrong and hanging up on me. He never gave me a chance to explain. I had to go through U-Haul chat, which was very patient and reasonable. So while U-Haul corporate did a great job with customer service, this location, and the manager in particular was horrible.

-Staff at desk discussing politics in a strong manner in front of customers. It's a tense political climate and if coworkers want to discuss it with each other, that's fine, but not in front of customers who may or may not have the same view. -Staff slow to respond to customers standing at desk and not very friendly, more interested in conversations with each other. We had to walk to desk, get the staff's attention, and even while he was ringing us up he continued his conversation with his coworker. -This was our first time renting from Uhaul and the staff was not very friendly. They were pretty blunt, not very welcoming, didn't walk us out to see where we could find our vehicle - just pointed and said it was "probably "n that row." When we returned it, the experience was the same when we asked where to park it - not welcoming, very blunt and not friendly. -Vehicle was clean, but at a quarter tank of gas - which meant the first stop was to fill it up. -Overall, I was appreciative of the ability to rent a large vehicle - but the experience with staff was less than the best. -Honestly, I might given another Uhaul location a chance but the customer service at this one was not impressive. We felt like we were bothering them.

Fix your mobile check in and don't give a customer the option to pick up before the store opens if it doesn't work for the store. I couldn't get the key out from the box because they never put it in there. I had to wait past my pick up time for the store to open. Also, they overcharged my card two times without my knowledge.

It seems they are usually understaffed and some of the employees are not overly professional. Marlin helped us Saturday and he was most kind and helpful. And there were two older gentleman helping with incoming returns Saturday night 1/9/21 that were also very helpful and kind. I do not remember their names.

The attic on the truck leaked all over our boxes, ruining pictures. It's an absolute waste. Paid almost 100 for the truck to have this happen. Two crap experiences with UHaul in a row.

I reserved a van online for 100 Pm and arrived at 1245 . After waiting in line I was told that I didn't have a reservation by the employee at the counter. I understood her to say that I had to go and resubmit it . Then another employee assisted her and found my reservation in the computer. Then I had to repeat information that was already entered , when I made the reservation. Finally I was able to get the van . But the first employee gave me inadequate instructions for returning the van . Inadequate training of a new employee, maybe ?

Get your stuff sorted out. Multiple times your systems were down. Get a different manager. Greg is not suitable for a customer service oriented business. Yelling at me and threatening to throw me out of the store for "throwing" my drivers license to the lady helping me (Mary). I was standing over 6 feet away and there were totes in front of me that prevented me from handing it to Mary, so I tossed/flicked it like you would a playing card. Also, since the systems were down and had been for some time, people were standing in line for extended periods of time. One couple complained when they couldn't rent something with a credit card. They said "It would have been nice if you had told us 20 minutes ago when we walked in the door that you weren't going to be able to rent to us." Greg ignored that and instead went on and on about how he had been on the phone and done this and that. An appropriate response would have been to apologize for the inconvenience. Mary was pretty good. Merlin (sp?) was pretty good. When returning equipment, I was told to go outside and the gentleman there would help me. I spoke to him and said with a smile "Hi, I was told to speak to you about returning this trailer." He snipped at me: "I don't have a spot so you just have to wait" (or something close to that). It would have been nice to have a reply like: "I'm just finishing this truck up and I will be with you as fast as I can. It will be about 5 min." Waiting for 5 min wasn't an issue at all. They guys attitude was poor.

I came in on my one day off, I packed all day and planned to move quickly after picking up the truck. I arrived and Gary was so slow, unhelpful and Unknowledgeable. The rental unit I paid for on line was unavailable, Gary was not aware of this, did have a alternative unit. I could go on and on. Please get capable staff.

I would not use them again when truck was received and we got home the Truck had a hole in the Roof on the left side near the Cab. We slipped due to. Rain and had to. Use towels to keep our belongings dry. When we brought it. Back the next day we reported the damage that was already there. And the employee said thank you and apologized. 2 months later they are now trying to charge us 700 dollars for damage we didnt do and caused us stress using there product. Always triple check everything if you use them.

Before my UBoxes arrived, I talked with three different people about billing the (large) charge for transportation to a new account. At least two people confirmed that account. Then the charge for over $4K landed on the old account. Such a substantial amount on an account which I had three times confirmed for a different bank has been a significant problem.

When we picked up truck (first time renting Uhaul) it was not explained how to return truck. Return on truck being on Jan 1 was due at 715 but everything said store was closed. Would have been nice to have this explained.

U-Haul as a service overall is getting the one star. When the U-box service was sold to me I was told all my U-box containers would be delivered to my house the same day and would be ground level. This did not happen. U-haul was unable to deliver at all and I was charged for using a private contractor that could only deliver two U-box containers at a time and on a trailer making it more difficult to load, also I was now working with this private contractors schedule and not mine. This caused me to leave several days later than expected and I was unable to reschedule the help I had hired to load all U-box containers in a single day this was an extra wasted expense. Upon request for delivery other problems occurred, I called several weeks in advanced to schedule the delivery and was told to call when it was 14 days to my requested delivery date. I called back and was told delivery was not available until after my requested date and I would be charged an extra months storage fee for all U-box containers. Again it took nine days to deliver and remove my U-box containers all while working with yet again a private contractor which lead to me receiving a somewhat accusatory call one morning at 6:45am about why my number was on this phone, unprofessional. Overall I worked with three U-haul locations and several of their representatives, two private contractors and one angry spouse this whole experience was frustrating, time-consuming I feel lied too and overcharged I will never use U-hall or U-box or any service from you again.

I would recommend it because this seems to be the location most easily reachable, yet the whole experience was not great. The wait to check out the truck was about 20 minutes. The dozen blanket I ordered was not available. Thankfully the service representative was able to give me 4 blankets. The computer system was very slow. Worst of all, when I came at night to check in the truck via the app, I tried for at least 15 minutes to upload the first picture. It never worked, and I am no stranger to using phone apps. I called and related the mileage data over the phone. Then I got charged $20 for After Hours Service, which I certainly would not have used if the app would have worked correctly. I called and was told that I would get a refund for this charge, but have yet to see whether it is showing up on the credit card. Hope I don't have to run after this too much. The truck worked fine.

I enjoyed driving the brand new truck! I do not understand ALL the extra BS charges!! I told the intendant that I did not want the $10 CDW charge, but did not notice it until after I had already gotten home! Environmental fee - $1.00? Vehicle license recovery fee - $1.00? Rental tax – $5.42? These three charges are complete and total BS just to run the bill up! $5.42 for a rental tax? I live in a tax-free state!

For one I rented a 10 foot truck online and when I got there the guy told me that it was not available for some reason but he was really nice about it with great customer service I returned the truck the next day full of gas and exactly the way I found it the total for the truck was 120.44 which I paid out of my count well yesterday this place did another transaction for 40.44 and it overdrawn my account so when I call just now this asshole guy who was very very rude with zero customer service tells me there is nothing he can do until Monday I tried explaining to him that the truck came back exactly the way I got it and he basically called me a liar this guy should not be able to talk to customers like that ever..... I will never rent from this location ever again and I will be posting everything that happened especially about that asshole who was rude all over social media......

The truck smelled like cigarettes. The online rental procedure was a pain in the ass (not the fault of the local location). How stupid to wait until I get to the parking lot and then ask for a bunch of additional information and make me wait while the rental is approved. Approve the damn thing beforehand, so I don't have to wait in the cold in the lot!!

The inside of the cab was clean and the storage compartment was a little dirty but not bad. The truck had not been washed though. It was in well working order and the vehicle was acceptable. However, the staff were rude and very unwelcoming. The man that helped us looked like he rolled out of bed and went to work. We were waiting for them to open out in front of the business and when he drove up and saw us, he rolled his eyes. When he opened the store, he unlocked the door and walked away. He didn't even greet the many customers waiting to spend their money at his establishment. How hard is it to say "Good morning"?? Everybody there acts like it's a giant burden to help the customer. When I originally called to inquire about a truck to rent, the woman that answered the phone was rude and not helpful. I asked if they had a cargo van or pick up and she said, "We wont have any of those until after Christmas", Which is fine. So I asked, "Do you guys have trucks?" And she said "No". I then called around and a nice man from an another, independent Uhaul dealer gave me a number to reserve a rental over the phone. They were more than willing to help me with a rental AT THAT SAME LOCATION! When I told him I was told they have nothing available, he said, "That's funny, I see plenty of 10 foot trucks?" Maybe the woman thought I only wanted to cargo van or pick up. But, why not at least TRY and help the customer find a solution to their problem. I understand it's tough to find employees right now. I get it. But these people were awful and if the owner of that store saw what was going on, I don't think they would appreciate how their potential customers are being treated.

The paperwork said gas tank was full, when I got in the tank was 7/8 full. I drove 11 miles total returned with 7/8 full and was charged for 3.3 gallons. I explained the situation with the employee they said they would take care of the issue and I would not be charged. I guess they did not take care of it. Always check your gas before leaving this location does not have accurate documentation on there vehicles

Many thanks to the excellent crew at the Rogue Valley UHaul. Each person I encountered over the course of several months of Ubox juggling was helpful, patient, and kind. I appreciate their help very much. I think the Ubox system, itself probably could use some refining. But that doesn't diminish the good work of Rogue Valley Uhaul.

November 30, 2020 To whom it may concern Truck and trailer rented by Karen Konrad on 11/12/2020 Contract # 29741554 Re: Complaint Our daughter Karen Konrad rented one of your trucks and trailer to be picked up in Grants Pass, Oregon , to then be driven to Gilbert, Arizona as the final destination. The problems began very early on. Four days before picking the U-HAUL up, and several weeks after the reservation was made, we were told that we had to pick the equipment up in Medford, OR, and NOT Grants Pass, She explained that it was a two hour trip for us, and time was limited. Your CS Rep informed us that we were being provided with an additional 150 miles and an additional day for the rental. That was nice, but still very inconvenient. After all, Grants Pass, Oregon has at least five locations to pick up the equipment, one that was only two miles from the house. So why were we “inconvenienced” just because U-HAUL couldn't find the personnel to bring the equipment to us., We were first sent to a used car dealer in Medford that looked like a junk yard and all they had was 1 (one) 17 foot truck sitting across the street. There were no other trucks or trailers. When my daughter contacted you, we were then sent to one of your full service facilities a few miles down the road, still in Medford. When we arrived at the next Medford location, the gentlemen couldn't find her reservation. It was confirmed and reconfirmed three times. It would not come up with the reservation number, and finally came up with our phone number. Then the non-fun continued. She had ordered a 20 foot truck with car transport, but they did not have one and we were “forced” to take a 26 foot truck. She had ordered the 20 foot van for 2 (two) reasons: 1: That's all she needed, and 2: Where the truck was to be loaded was a long winding tree lined narrow hilly road it took a lot of time and twisting and turning forward and back to get the 26 footer in to load Additionally, because we were “forced” to rent the equipment in Medford, instead of Grants Pass, a sales tax was added. The gentleman at the Medford location said that was a “new law for Medford only.” It is not our fault that we had to pick the equipment up in Medford, and we asked that he waive the charge. He claimed he was only allowed to waive $50 of the charge. We have been using U-HAUL for many years, and each time we use your services, the quality of service declines. The customer service is not up to par, the equipment availability is only convenient for your corporate offices and not for the customer. The ordeal of moving is stressful enough. Dealing with your corporate people is not conducive to friendly customer relations. If we were to rate your services today, it would be a 2 out of 5 starts. Sincerely, Lester W Line Jr. Driver

I walked to the location to rent a truck. When I walked in and approached the counter I told the lady I wanted to rent a truck. She asked me if I had a reservation and I said no. She then told me I could not rent because every truck on the lot was reserved. I left and setup a reservation online and then approached the counter again. The lady denied me again and told me my reservation didn't matter because they didn't have any trucks available. I then downloaded the app and did everything through that while waiting outside. Once finished it told me to go inside for a key. I approached the counter and asked for the key and showed the rep the truck number from the app. He gave me the key meanwhile the lady rep glared at me the entire time. I used the rented truck for an hour and then pulled into the uhal return spot and waited for almost 15 minutes but nobody came out to return my rental. I decided to return it though the app and finished that and went inside to drop off the keys. The lady from earlier was still there and demanded that I tell her where the truck was parked and that I was required to put the truck in the return line. I told the lady I took a picture of where it was parked and submitted on the app. She again demanded to know where it was. At this point I asked the lady why she has been so rude to me over renting and returning a truck and told her to look online as I followed the app. I didn't get the reps name but she was older, short, blonde, and very rude. She shouldn't be in customer service and clearly didn't want to do her job. Uhual must lose a lot of business because she is lazy. Worst experience at a Uhaul I've ever had.

The truck smelled of pot in the cab and in the truck container. It stick to my furniture and my kids stuff also the clothing, I had to wash everything. It was so bad that my kids wouldn't allow the young children in the truck.. I have spoken to U-Haul twice about the incident and I have not herd anything back. I am going to follow-up on this and demand a refund for the extra work I had to do with the sanitation cleaning of all my furniture, clothing and personal belongings. I am also going to put this on Angie's List of places not to go to.

After hours drop off location needs to be revamped. I couldn't drop off after hours because of issues with my phone not able to send my current location. Couldn't return it until the next day. There needs to be a better way to do drop off rentals just like how rental cars are where you literally all you do is drop the keys off and they take care of the rest. This will improve your business.

We were not helped by anyone. We were told to unhook the trailer and we could leave. We brought the trailer back within a 24 hour period. You think the company would say thank you for returning it promptly and give us a refund of 250.00. With a trailer shortage you think the company would appreciate the quick turn in of the trailer.

Change you mile rate to a lower. I rented a Van and it was $19.95 and the end I paid more that $100 for half of the day and 61 mile. Way to expensive!

I was initially told I would have to travel 3.5 hrs one way to pick up my moving truck two, on Friday, when im leaving Saturday. Im also a single father, how am I supposed to drive up there and back and get my car home? Taxi? 20 minutes after requesting a supervisor I get told there will be a truck 25 minutes from my house. Awesome, Saturday at 645pm I get a call confirming my pick up. Kind of late but ok. I get to the location and they can't give me a truck, they are all only "in town". After about an hour they get approval to give me one. Not one of the nice new v10 Ford 26" trucks but an old extremely beat up GMC. It's missing the headlight bucket, dents and scratches everywhere, blue paint splattered down the side. But fine, I have a truck, for my 8 hour drive. I made a mistake at the destination, I forgot 12 moving blankets I didnt use, I explained to the employee that I forgot them but will be back in town with them the next day (I dropped the truck off a day early). He refused to assist me at all. I finally came to an agreement ,but all he wanted to do was ask me "what do you want me to do? Its not my fault you forgot them" I 100% agree it isnt, but i also don't work for Uhaul or have the slightest clue what he can do about it... Overall a horrible experience with UHaul... again.

We pulled up and a employee meet us in the truck and checked us in and we were on our way in a few minutes. Great system, there was a line inside of 10 people, glad I didn't have to stand and wait.

The truck rented tracked crooked while driving on the road. It appears something may be amiss with the front end. This truck also had a heavy odor of marijuana and no doubt it was used to transport this product.

If you are looking for a moving and storage company where you need to hold the Franchisee owners' hand from shipping logistics to accounting, then U-Haul of Rogue Valley is your place. When you call you feel like you are dealing with the owner's son who doesn't care about customer service or doing a good job (this poor behavior comes from above obviously). All the poor reviews on this place seem to be legit. All the excuses, never taking accountability. This location will overbill you and only offer instore credit for future crappy services. (The delivery people are awesome). Good luck, don't given them your credit card, if you have to, watch each and every transaction. Very disappointing branch.

My two year experience with Rogue Valley UHaul was beyond great until the Almeda Fire fallout and the ensuing madness forced us to move out of the area. I found it taxing to deal with all I was dealing with, and then to have UHaul not quickly enough recognize I had extenuating circumstances and aid in ending my contract. It was too much with the no response and continued charging. I do appreciate though that everything has been resolved and thank all who did help to do so. I will recommend UHaul Rogue Valley to others.

This location is either understaffed or there is something terribly wrong with how customers are served. It took 40 minutes for me to get my trailer, even though I checked in online and had everything done prior to arrival. It was the same story when I returned my equipment. Took almost 30 minutes of waiting to get my trailer returned. Even customers that are only buying moving supplies had to wait too long to just pay for some boxes.

They tried to charge me two weeks after I signed up then locked me out then I closed my account and took my lick and they are still trying to charge me pathetic I will send people far away if I see anyone near this place or talk about going here I will tell them find somewhere else far far far far away from this place

The only thing I had an issue with was getting parking in front of storage units, as a disabled veteran I think parking across the parking lot to get a few things out was a hassle/difficult. You should have one or two spots there specific for loading and unloading storage units infront of units. But all your U-Haul are taking all the parking. OR look into ADA accommodating people with disabilities

Parking was impossible. The reservation had to be redone on 3 separate occasions. Twice in one day within a few hours. The first reservation could not be found. It took almost 40 minutes to check in, I was charged first months rent when it was supposed to be free. The associated could not reverse the charges. We were late for moving help coming at 2pm even though we showed up 45 minutes early. There was a dead mouse in one of the units.
