We did not move in. We were scheduled to move in on December 27. We went there and there was no office, no one around. We called but no answer. She later called and said she was out of state and would not be back until the next day. At 4 p.m. she called. We made a $20 deposit when we reserved tge unit. She said we owed $81, even though the reservation page says we owed $65. She said the deposit of $20 goes to uhaul...not our unit rental. Thats not what the website says. Tgen she says we also have to pay $90 as a deposit....so $171 was due that day. It says nothing about a deposit on the website! I told her we would look elsewhere. She said to contact uhaul for a refund of my $20. I called uhaul the following day, was sent to 3 different people, the last one saying i had to speak with customer service...who was the one who switched me to her!!! I finally gave up. I would definately not advise anyone to use this facility. I thought because it was a Uhaul affiliate, it woukd be a reputable business. I might add...while we were there we noticed that the entry gate was wide open. No one around. Thats not the security they advertised! Very, very disappointed. I dont think uhaul is wise to associate their name with such a poorly run operation. We were able to rent a unit the next day, elsewhere, no hidden fees ( of extra deposit), no reservation fee, and the managers were extremely helpful. I would like a refund for this tranaction. By the way, my son in law rented a uhaul trailer and a uhaul truck for this move. We were quite satisfied with that experience.
