They were phenomenal- super efficient and I’m shocked at how they fit everything in the truck! There ARE a few items I wish were handled with more care because they are very scuffed up. And some heavy items were on top of wicker chair backs so I’m worried about those but I haven’t unpacked yet.

The gentlemen did a wonderful job from beginning to end. Once they arrived, they got to work immediately and moved quickly and efficiently while still handling our belongings with great care. They loaded the truck thoughtfully, paying particular attention to securing everything properly given the distance we would be traveling. Once the truck was loaded, we still had some time remaining, and they willingly helped move several additional items within the house without complaint and with the same level of care and professionalism. I was very pleased with the quality of their work and their willingness to be helpful throughout the process. I would gladly recommend them to others and would not hesitate to use them again for any future moving needs.

Got the job done so quickly! They safely and efficiently loaded our items into the moving truck. We drove from North Carolina to California and our belongings stayed in perfect condition. Very good with communication and taking our needs into consideration, and saved us so much stress. Honestly, I'm not sure we would have had this Ubox delivered if it wasn't for Lee being our Moving Help provider. We had so much difficulty with the U-haul customer service prior to the delivery, but his professionalism and communication and help facilitating a conversation with the amazing Kenya at the local Vickers Road location is the only reason this worked out for us. Unfortunately, this was the least impressive moving experience I’ve had. I’ve moved several times and have hired professional movers before, so I have a good idea of what to expect. The crew did help move some of the heavier furniture upstairs, but they worked very slowly. We hired them for two hours, and my family ended up unloading the majority of the truck just to get everything inside. I understand that moving is hard work and that the occasional scratch or minor damage can happen. What was disappointing was the overall lack of care. It was especially frustrating because a different crew loaded our truck, and they handled every item with incredible care, treating our belongings as if they were their own. The difference in professionalism between the two crews was very noticeable. Overall, the crew was polite, but I expected much better care and efficiency. Based on my experience, I wouldn’t choose this company again.

The two guys that came to help us were friendly, hard working, and efficient. Got the move done on a humid day in the middle of summer. Loaded up a 3rd floor apartment and unloaded into a townhome. Got then heavy stuff where it needed to go, just like we asked. I know their job is exhausting and I'm so grateful for their help. They were thoughtful and careful on the job. Our start was delayed by nearly 2hrs because the prior job ran long. The 2 movers who arrived were motivated but it quickly became clear the lead mover was relatively new to moving, and the 2nd was not a regular and was filling in. The lead largely did the physical labor solo, while the other primarily directed. This meant they mostly focused on smaller items. It made the move much slower than expected, and some furniture sustained minor scratches. After we expressed concerns, Lee sent a 3rd mover as replacement who was more experienced. Once he arrived, he and the original lead mover worked efficiently as a duo and completed the rest of the job quickly. We appreciate their effort and Lee's responsiveness. However, we would have preferred being told movers were unavailable rather than being asked to pay extra for a 3rd mover to finish the job. We recommend ensuring at least 1 seasoned mover is assigned to every move and gathering more detailed information to better staff the job.

One of two the workers showed up 90 minutes late due to miscommunication by the company owner. The owner apologized, and the time began when the second worker arrived which we appreciated. Unfortunately, the movers were not well experienced, and we had to help throughout the process with wrapping and even lifting things. One piece was damaged after it was dropped down a couple of steps and hardwood floor was scratched due to the furniture being dragged. The movers did stay late to help us complete the project which we appreciated. Unfortunately, due to the extra stress and lack of experience of the movers, we will not be using this company again. They will be appropriate moving small things, boxes but I would recommend going with a more experienced mover for large, heavier, furniture items.

Movers were polite, hardworking, and listened to the needs I had. They fit all my items in the truck, using precision, experience, and their eye for what should go in the truck first. It was hot and humid and they did not complain once. Excellent experience with the movers once they arrived. I wanted an 8 am start time, they arrived at about 820. The only kind of scary part was at 805 when they had not showed and I called the carolina movers business phone number. No one answered and the voicemail box was full. That was scary because I didn't know if anyone was going to show up or how to get in touch with anyone given they didn't answer the phone and the mailbox was full. Yet, an employee called me back in about 10 minutes.

Please hire these guys first! Mack and Levi were fantastic! I had 2 other moving companies quit, the second at 9 PM the night before the move, and I booked Carolina area moving right after finding out. They called me within 5 minutes to confirm and schedule the move. Their communication relieved a lot of stress. They were on time, very kind and respectful, gave great suggestions for driving, and did a final walk through to make sure they had packed it all. Packed the truck so well, there was no movement while driving (6hrs), and I had complements from the unloaders the next day.

The guys worked very hard which I appreciate, thanked them & tipped them. However, there were several items that were dropped including a paper shredder which is now broken. One of the movers tried to shame me for the dropped shredder as it wasn't in a box. After loading up the first part of my trip, I was informed that one of the guys was leaving & someone else would be showing up. This new person was pleasant but seemed new & not very comfortable. This change felt unprofessional & seemed to negatively impact the other guys also.

This is the absolute worst move I've ever made in my 52yrs, when I got to my residence with the truck the movers had all of my items;outside in the nasty breezeway of my complex. Mind you that we just had snow so there was salt,sand,and God knows what on the ground,they even had my mattress which I'd purchased a mattress bag to put my mattress in;but when I got back it was too late because they already had my stuff on the ground.. I have a lot of alcohol because I own a mobile mixologist business,so this was liquor that I use for work ALL TOP SHELF LIQUOR;which I've now found 2 boxes of my broken alcohol I'm literally pouring my money down the drain. I was asked for the code to my move several times before the job was completed,and I know if I'd given Lee the number I already know that my truck wouldn't have gotten unloaded;so instead of putting my items in the areas that they were supposed to be in Lee unloaded everything in one room the living room. I won’t be using these movers again because of one complaint that I have. They did everything else very well and I’d agree with the other positive reviews. My complaint is only about the lead mover. His assistant did an awesome job beginning to end. I requested that 5 items be carried by two people instead of one person using a dolly. That means each of the 5 items would have 2 movers per 1 item. We did a load into a truck and an unload into a house. Two separate moves for 2 hours each. Loading and unloading took less than an hour for each part, so we had plenty of time. They did as I asked until the unload. Towards the end of the unload the lead mover decided he didn’t want to use 2 people on those 5 items even though I reminded him right before. Keep in mind we had plenty of time left and I’d estimate he only saved 5-10 minutes at the most. It was 5 boxes. 3 speakers and 2 TVs.

Ormond and Miguel did a great job packing our 26’ U-Haul truck. They were amazingly efficient and you could clearly tell they knew what they were doing. We had some very heavy furniture on the 2nd story of our 3 bedroom house and they were total professionals in getting them down our narrow split staircase. They actually finished 30 minutes ahead of schedule and hardly stopped for any kind of break. I would absolutely recommend these guys. We were very happy with their service.

This team was great! U-Haul screwed up on their end, but Lee still got the job done all by himself despite the extreme heat and the late hour, and he was super nice and professional about everything. I might have preferred a little more proactive communication in the lead-up to the delivery day, but all was fine in the end. (My helpers on the front end of the move ghosted me the day they were supposed to come, so possibly I was overly-nervous about that happening again.) All in all a great experience with this company and would 100 percent use again. Thanks guys!

We have moved professionally at least 5-6 times and this was a rather large move on our own that required load and unload labor. I have experienced good and bad moving companies. Both helpers were an hour late to the assigned moving time and worked for 30 minutes total. I’m upset with the lack of accountability of the schedulers. I called 11 times before I heard back from anyone, starting 30 minutes after the scheduled time. I understand and am sympathetic that the client before me ran overtime due to their own moving issues, but I expect communication, and I got none. I think your booking times need to account for delays, and if there is a delay, communicate that before the scheduled moving time. At the amount I paid, I figured it came with the disclaimer that you would show up on time.

The guys were courteous and got to work immediately. They were in contact prior to the move and let me know they were an hour behind schedule. Unfortunately, because they had another job immediately after, they were rushed in the end. A lamp was broken and the items weren't carefully stacked in the storage unit. i.e., ottoman on top of my printer, bookcase on top of dining table, and mattress blocking access to smaller items. I had to reorganize everything to ensure that heavy items were on the bottom and smaller lightweight items on top. Dining table has scratches.

Both gentlemen went up two flights of stairs in the heat to move my items. They were very professional, fast and handled my items with care. Overall clean move. Communication was pretty good. Started raining and they were still able to get the job done in a reasonable amount of time. My only complaint would be when I asked the guys to sit my old washer and dryer by the dumpster one of the movers was stopped by someone in need of the set and he saw it as an opportunity to profit whereas i would of given the set away for free if i had of been consulted with. He eventually gave me half ($20) of the profit saying he wanted to be honest which I gave to the other mover as a tip. However, I’m big on upfront honesty and that was not acceptable. His actions caused them to lose the $50 tip each I was prepared to give them.

When I placed my order online they did not send me any confirmation details I thought it didn't go through this hold time. then At the last minute they texted & I thought it was a scam, asking about my order that was placed. Company is hard to get into contact with when there is a problem or delay. I waited on hold for more than 40 minutes. Many miscommunication when on phone with office staff and moving helpers. And on top of that I didn't get everything I needed moved in a timely manner. During the process of moving my fragile dishware was broken. I had informed the mover to not move the boxes and focus on the furniture only. Then the mover in question told me that he would not touch anymore boxes because he did not want to liable. I can say that the other larger built mover wearing gold tip nike high tops was very helpful and communicated the best or least made a effort too. The movers showed up 25 minutes after my original start time. To be fair, they did call and say they would be 20 minutes late, but it’s still stressful when you have lots of things scheduled on moving day. I paid $50 additional cash as tip and to cover the 10-15minutes extra at the end. I was told this would be fine by the movers, who asked for the 6-digit pin to officially close out the job. They called me later to say ‘the big boss’ required me to pay for a full hour extra thru Venmo or Zelle, which sounded suspicious. I asked for the manager to call me back if this was truly required, and haven’t received a call back. The whole experience made me feel taken advantage of, and I wish I’d booked with a different company.

Our movers Lee and Zaccai did an amazing job! They were extremely communicative and efficient - they finished packing the moving truck in 45 minutes. DO NOT USE THEM. They arrived and hour late, were asked to be careful of the stairway as it was just repainted yet left a large scuff mark. Worse of all they did not pack the items properly causing damage to multiple pieces. For example, they placed a costly chair upside down on the truck floor without a blanket under it causing it to turn black. When contacted they said it was not a packing issue, it would be a transportation issue and not their responsibility. Everything was packed in the truck to be transported so that was a dumb comment. They do not stand behind their work. I hired a professional company who was supposed to know what they were doing. If i just wanted muscle I could have hired someone off of a street corner. Very disappointing.

I contacted this company multiple times (including calling, leaving voicemails, and sending emails) to confirm the day and time of services prior to the day of the move. They finally reached out several days later to confirm. During the call they told me I needed to purchase straps to secure items in the truck as well as plastic wrap and was told they would send me a list of things that I needed but they never did. The movers were very friendly and helped move my things from a storage unit to the truck I rented. There was an issue during the move where the elevator broke down and the movers quickly adapted and carried everything down the stairs instead. However, upon unloading the truck I realized they had damaged my couch when they wedged it into the truck. The fabric was ripped in multiple places and they broke the back structure of the couch.

They were comfortable with our working side by side so that each piece was where it needed to be, including making several trips to the upstairs bedrooms (keeping carpeting clean with covers over their shoes). . The last piece of furniture was a large heavy oak wood entertainment center that needed to go up a few stairs on the back deck and into the living room through patio doors. Only downside is they were a little late (10 min) and I realized they overcharged me by $25 for an additional 16 minutes after all the commotion died down. They did handle everything with care and professionalism though and I would recommend and use again.

These movers were amazing. The move was quick and they really seemed like they really cared about my time, helping me with a safe and effective move, and they were there for my upmost satisfaction. Please disregard previous review. That was meant for another company. We were very pleased with Carolina Area Moving. They were late but they kept us updated and they still stayed the 3 hours we had paid for. They even went back to our previous house to finish load since the other movers did not fit everything in the truck.

The Carolina Area Moving Services exceeded our expectations for movers to unload our UHaul- they were the best part of our move! I would highly recommend these hard-working men to anyone who needs help unloading their truck.
