Self pick up is a lie as I still needed to go the office, I was originally quoted at $75 my total came to $183 when the day was done They charged a $60 "deposit" due to my banks credit cards being incorrectly classified as a pre paid card Returned the U-Haul on time though we had to make an extra trip so a few more KM then we originally stated and suddenly I lose my "deposit" and have an additional $20 charge added on The whole process of checking in took almost an hour because I had a warning in my account apparently I was late dropping off a u haul nearly 10 years ago I wasn't by the way the location was closed when we dropped it off I had to then call their head office to get the notice removed U haul is anti consumer in the worst way And I will not be using their services ever again you're better off using budget truck rentals or literally any other company

The reason for the poor rating is because the fellow working at the front desk was miserable. He shuffled in at 5mins to 8am didn't acknowledge myself waiting in the dark, proceeded to stand there for 5mins in silence and then waited until 8:05 to check me in.. looked and acted like he hated his job. Then after going through everything didn't advise me that I had to put a dolly in my truck, I was told by a U-Haul rep the night before the equipment would be in the truck so I drive off and then had to return to pick it up.. there was no apology just a grunt and a response "take one there" Fees are also extremely misleading.. great sales tactic at $19,99/truck but ridiculous amount for kms. I drove to and from storage 13kms each way and my bill was $90+!!! Crazy! Also, the rep who's checks the customer in should really let you know to watch for the text that will follow shortly that you have to open and take photos of the vehicle before driving away.. another crazy thing that a customer is having to do prior to driving.. this should be done by the employer prior to assigning that vehicle to someone.. the last thing the person moving wants to be doing is taking photos and spending time acknowledging the truck is in good condition.. why should this be the customers responsibility.. what has occurred from the time the previous rental returned it/inspected and the new renter drives off? Seems very strange and time consuming.. and asking you to take a photo of the roof?? Really? Come on, who is climbing on top of the vehicle to get a clear shot of the roof!

The girl at the counter was a snot and the attendant was hanging out with her when I returned and I had to unhook my own trailer

Best experience renting an enclosed trailer in my 50 years on this planet. I expect to rent trailers from this location again just to re-live the amazing experience again!!

It would be better if we went back to, truck full of fuel when you pick up and bring back full. When I picked up I was told there was 1/4 but there was not. I went 10 miles and low fuel warning came on.. so jow it is also left like that for the next person and the next and so on. This is riduculous.

The people and facility were fine. However I had booked in advance to pick up at another location. Uhaul, waited until the day before to change my preferred pick up. This was seriously inconvenient for me, had I known you would pull this poor quaility service when I booked. I would have used a different option. You cost me 2 people 2 hours each as well as gas for my personal vehicle and a quarter of a tank of gas on your uhaul to drive to a completely different community 1 hour of highway driving away. This is not criticism of this location but the uhaul service overall. I doubt I will book another uhaultruck ad a result The back of the truck had broken glass and pine needles that I had to clean up before loading

The vehicle was clean on the inside and very dirty on the outside. The snow was not all cleared off the windshield and hood of the vehicle when they gave it to me. I actually had to ask for something to clean the windshield off with and the gentlemen did not give me the brush but went and got a brush and cleared part of the windshield. He did not clean the whole windshield or the front hood of the truck. I actually had to get my own brush and clear the snow myself from the hood and windshield. The truck only had half a tank of gas and this later became a problem because after I drove 32 km and put 9,4 liters of gas in to more than replace what I used they charged me over $16 because they said I did not fill it to where the gauge had been before. This was most likely because the truck was not parked in the same spot and position when they compared the gauge but if the truck is functioning correctly there is no way that driving around in a flat city like Airdrie I would have used more than 5 liters of gas to go 32 km. If they had filled up the tank before I got it, I could have driven it and filled it back up but that is not what they did. They have taken advantage of me and dishonestly charged me over $16, which is not a lot of money but the principle of the matter is the issue. I am very dissapointed.

This 15' truck needs some maintenance! Windshield wipers need to be replaced and there is something going on with the starter. It took several attempts to turn over the engine before it engaged. The driver's side door also does not close easily and needs to be slammed shut. I noted that the odometer only showed up at the start of the trip and then went dark. There was less than a 1/4 tank of gas and I had to refuel before and after the trip, as the low fuel indicator kicks in below 1/4 tank (50 miles to empty).

price was too high compared to Home Depot, I did use you in the past I was pleased but this one has changed my idea of using uhall anymore the truck was not washed at all, door brought wind and loud noise in, this is not good for a brand like yours

Truck was dirty and the box smelt like garbage, the previous drivers must have done a dump run. The truck was on empty when I picked it up. Will never rent from there again.

I had to drive 100 km out of my way to get this unit. The price they wanted was up 3 times the online quote. I offered to cut from the 5 days I wanted to 3 days and the price was higher for a shorter time. Every time I asked a question the person there had to phone someone. The trailer floor had oil on it. The braking system did not work as the oil apparently leaked out of it. They had wrapped a plastic bad around the oil reservoir but that had no hope of keeping the oil in. It was a bad experience and tainted uhaul.

Make sure all new dents are clearly marked. Tell customers about all warning lights on dash, prior to renting. Make sure all are levels, oil, windshield washer fluid are topped up. Customers should not HAVE to add anything to vehicle other than proper fuel amount. You over charge customers when they do not properly fuel up vehicle but you fail to maintain and make sure customers do not have to add extra fluids at their own expense.

I would recommend that since Canada is in kilometers per hour not miles that any bookings made in Canada be quoted in kilometers not in miles. If I had known this I would probably have reconsidered using a U-haul truck. The $1,1 approximately in miles turns into just over $2 per kilometer. Consider that most commercial companies pay their employees between $.69 and $.79 per kilometer when they use their personal vehicles. The lady in the booking office Trisha was extremely helpful in rebooking when the first location that we were dealing with had nothing but issues in providing a vehicle.

I chose this U-Haul location primarily due to its close proximity to home. I rented a 20-foot U-Haul truck-nothing special. However, the truck was in rough shape. It lacked power, struggled to accelerate, and had noticeable exhaust issues. It came with only half a tank of fuel, and the interior was filthy. The grey leather seats had a yellowish tint from heavy smoke, and there was a sticky, grimy residue on the surfaces, making it unpleasant to touch anything inside. There were also electrical problems, as the lights remained on even after turning off the truck. The online estimate was $80, so the final total of $188, plus an additional $50 for fuel, was unexpectedly high.

Even though I checked in online, I had to wait 40 mins inside the store for the guy at the counter to finish dealing with a single customer because he couldn't find miramichi. Then once I actually got the truck, I had to wait another 10 mins for them to pull it out of the back because it was parked behind multiple other trucks. I booked this reservation days in advance so it should have been ready to go. One they gave me the truck, I noticed the dolly's I prepaid for weren't there. When asked them about it, they gave me one dolly and said that's all they have and they couldn't refund me for the other two I had paid for. Once I actually went to use the truck, the rear door was stuck. So me and the uhaul guy got it open but then I struggled with it for the move every time. To top it off, I dropped the truck off 2 hours before it was due back and with more fuel that I got it with and I didn't even use the mileage I had originally paid for and yet, I was charged an additional 70$!! This is the worst experience I've ever had with Uhaul and I'll be making a review on google and my socials to show that. Your the largest moving and rental company in the country and you guys are ripping people off. Enough is enough.
