BOBBY TI drove the truck a few miles and put a gallon of gas in it. They tried to tell me there would be a fuel charge of $10.98. I asked what the miles per gallon the truck used. They told me 10-15 miles per gallon. I asked what the mileage use was on the truck was. It was 7,6 miles. Then they asked if I checked the gas gauge when I rented the truck. I told them that they were the ones who estimated and recorded the fuel in the tank. I trusted them to do it correctly. I also rented 24 packing blanket that were not used. The packages were still sealed. They told me they could not refund the blanket rental at their location and said I needed to call the 1-800 number for that refund. Not a good experience.
PATRICIA SWednesday 03-26-2025: No problems at the 805 FM2821 place. The problems that caused me an hour's delay and 50 miles of extra driving OCCURRED EARLIER when some smart aleck at U-Haul dispatching in Houston (281-377-3380) CHANGED my original return point in Bedias Tx (six miles from my trailer destination ) to 224 Bishop Road, Huntsville Tx 77320 and notified me of that by text message. Huntsville is 25 miles east of Bedias, and this change was not requested or desired by myself! I had already coordinated with the Bedias return location by phone on Tuesday. AND to make things more difficult, this is all happening way out in the country where G5 cell towers don't exist, so phone mapping does not work well. I drove almost into Huntsville with the empty 5x8 trailer, found a Love's Truck Stop to stop, and THEN the mapping showed 224 Bishop Rd was 13,5 miles BACK where I had just driven past! So I drove back 12 miles and turned onto Bishop Rd to find that it was a dirt and gravel road, 1,25 miles more to some weird-named OFF-ROAD ADVENTURE PARK. I stopped 100 yards in on that dirt road and I called the national U-Haul # and luckily the lady there understood my refusal to continue on that path. She transferred me to someone who re-set my return point to 805 FM2821 which was 1/4 mile past the Love's Truck Stop, and I got the trailer returned without further difficulty. Hey, U-Haul, here is a concept for you: DON'T TRY TO OUT-THINK YOUR CUSTOMER'S PLANS FROM SOME OFFICE CUBICLE, DON'T MAKE CHANGES TO LOCATIONS AND SCHEDULES VIA TEXT MESSAGE THAT HAS NO REPLY OR PHONE NUMBER TO CALL BACK TO, DON'T LET AN IDIOT (or maybe "A.I." ?) MAKE CHANGES TO CUSTOMER'S CAREFULLY THOUGHT OUT PLANS ! Just a "customer service" concept, you know. R. L. in rural hill country, Texas.
RICHARD LParking in this location is confusing. Signs explaining where NOT to park, but no where designated where you really can park.
BRENNER DThe location was convenient; however, the truck was not clean. Additionally, the cost per mile was not explained when I booked the truck. If I had known the rental would have cost me almost $200 for the six hours I needed it, I would have paid a mover instead. All the back and forth I did moving myself, plus paying $200 for six hours-I could have paid someone $300 and had it done in three to four hours instead of the six hours it took me to do it myself. I will avoid using U-Haul in the future for small moves.

SADE RUhaul moving equipment accessories where left without cleaning occupied almost 1/3 of the trailer box. Location doesn't have shelves o display moving kits. Need customer service improvement . Explain briefly the importants steps in returning the rental units . Courtesy needed. I'll score overall 6/10 for the customer service.

DONALD KIf it ain't broke, don't fix it. It was so easy to rent my truck, use my rental truck without any problems and my customer service agent was quite helpful. I will be back because this U-Haul dealership cares about you, the customer. Great people to do business with.

Clint WThe staff was very dismissive and not helpful. We dropped off the tow dolly a day earlier than we were required to. They forgot to close it out so we ended up being charged for an additional day past the 5 days we'd already paid for. They issued a refund for the additional day so at least there's that.

JACORIE HWhen thr tow dolly was returned as agreed, I was called 3 days later saying it was NOT returned! Thank goodness we had a photo that was time stamped showing the dolly right where it was agreed to be.

MARTHA RI had a reservation at a location closer to me but when I went to pick up the truck no one was there and when we called they didn't have a record of our reservation. So it cost us more in mileage and they were closed when the truck was taken back. Then we had to make an extra trip to go settle the bill and now I get a notice that the balance wasn't paid.

THOMAS BAwful. There's no designated area for cars to park, no indication or anything of where to go or where to park. The guy got mad for me parking on the grass when there were 2 other cars parked on the grass. There was also NO WHERE DESIGNATED FOR PARKING, and there was a sign that said "no U-Haul parking" which I took to mean that regular cars could park there. So I did and then this dude got mad that I parked there. It was an awful experience and I wouldn't recommend that drop off location to anyone. It was garbage. Idk if there's a way for U-haul to discontinue this place but they need to shut this place down. Terrible terrible.
