U haul provided was closed the entire day and I was charged a drop off fee for dropping it off while closed.

Man. More friendly at the front desk
JULIO RDidn't get the emails I was told I'd get with lock and number combination. My time to turn hula back in said 9am but no where did I see that on my reservation or choose that time. Worker called me and was rude and unprofessional. It was kinda trashy experience to say the least. Would never use this company again
MEGAN BThe owner of LTG Tire, also acting as a certified U-Haul Rental agency was one of the rudest and laziest people I have ever dealt with. Here is a summary of the events. My registration was scheduled for Wednesday 3/19 on 9:30 am. I arrive around 9:15 for the rental and he "Says I need to send you a link to upload your driver's license information". This was the 2nd time I received the link. The first was the day prior, when I attempted to upload my license. The link didn't work at that time. I again tried the link on Wednesday morning prior to going to U-Haul and it still didn't work. The link he sent me also didn't work. When I informed him that the link was broken. He snapped back at me saying "The link works!" I calmly handed him my phone and ID and asked him to show me. He starred at me in disgust, and I asked him again to "please show me" He takes my phone and wasn't able to do it, because the link was broken. He didn't hand me my phone back, but rather lightly tossed it across the table informing me that "iPhones are Junk" (I have an android). He then proceeded to try and use his phone, and he was also unable to access the link on his phone. Then he had to manually type my driver's license information into the screen. This next part I do not blame him for, but I find it very frustrating and inconvenient that it's not conveyed before the booking. Then I had to provide (2) contacts who could "act as references". I had to go through my phone and find people who were available for a call. If this was communicated earlier, I would of have references prepared and expecting a call. After we got past the license issue and reference call. I received 5-6 text alerts/e-mails from U-Haul. Apparently, one is a link that is used to upload pictures of the rental, that link was also broken, and I was unable to upload any pictures. I did take pictures on my phone that were timestamped in case of any damage dispute. I did notice that the site said "failure to upload pictures means I was assuming liability for any damage" or similar language. Again, if this link is going to be included in a barrage of correspondence immediately upon leaving the U-Haul it should be communicated to the customer. Most customers who rental vehicles are doing for a particular purpose and already have a truncated timeline. I wasn't prepared to read through 5 different e-mails from U-Haul, particularly when one had required action. The owner's attitude and tone will prevent me from ever visiting this business again and it also soured me from U-Haul in general.
Brett S1. Lot was full of potholes, and truck was sitting in pothole filled with water. 2. Truck was old-over 100k miles, although it ran well. Also just over a quarter tank of gas, forcing us to stop almost immediately. 3. Customer service at time of pickup snd drop off was rude answering simple questions. Just not cool and for no reason. 4. Additional surcharges and gas surcharges seemed excessive. This experience was unpleasant and we won't use this location again, and will consider alternative rentals companies. U-Haul has been a great friend to us but wow, yesterday was not putting your best foot forward. Do better.
James AThe storage area of the truck smelled strongly of marijuana and caused our possessions to smell of marijuana. A more thorough cleaning or airing out the storage area would have been appreciated.

AIYUB MWe rented several moving items for the truck such as dollies, and no one bothered telling us that they don't even carry those items until we came to pickup the truck. Pretty frustrating to expect to have them and then find out they don't carry them. Why was it even an option then? The employees also were not professional at all.
Jenna SDifficulty for the business to get my driver's license set up, process took a long time due to system problems. I requested "unlimited" miles was given the amount of miles and I told them that would not be enough and they said it did not matter, that the miles needed to be documented since a one way rental. Unfortunately, ended up paying for miles when I dropped it off.

James SExperience was horrible. Mobile pickup was nearly impossible. Website worked very poorly- kept telling me my email does not exist as an account on the uhaul website, despite having had to "create an account" more than 5 times with the same email. Since this feature was not working, I had to drive to the uhaul pickup location to help my husband pick up the truck because it was not working for either of us with any possible accounts we had with uhaul. Website needs a serious overhaul

DEBRA MThe app check in and check out experience was terrible. It wouldn't upload pictures correctly and it crashed multiple times. Eventually I couldn't even restart the check out process and I had to go to the counter.
Michael GThe gentlemen at the front was very rude! He expressed to me that he has other customers and U-Haul doesn't do anything for him. For some reason my original request was declined and so it was done again and he added a Safe Move charge of $30 that I did not approve!!!!! Very upset with this U-Haul provider and this is not the first time I have had this experience at this location.
Aesha WWhen I booked the truck I decided to opt out of savemove insurance which is optional but at office level was told that it is mandatory for them and I could go to another address if I don't agree. Why is the app and reality different!!

Sandra RI paid for a dolly and there was nothing in there. The truck was extremely dirty and the check engine light was on. I reported these things immediately so that I wouldn't be held responsible. I was so disappointed. My son and I struggled a lot without the dolly and had to lay a sheet ponder the furniture so all the dirt wouldn't transfer over. I'm hoping for a refund of what I didn't receive

Sarita RFor the truck return I again used the UHaul app. This time, I was locked out of my account because of the app crashing. I spoke to a very helpful representative, who was able to unlock my account. I eventually did the check out process via the browser, which worked fine, but again the process took far longer than it would have going inside. Other UHaul customers were at the drop off location trying to return their truck, and we were both there for over an hour. Please fix the app. That being said, every customer service rep I dealt with was very helpful and nice. A plus for customer service.

Christopher HThe main U-Haul computer system was down when I arrived for my pickup (neither me using the iOS App nor the location using their location operator website) had access to process my pickup. I am told that the main U-Haul systems have been fairly unreliable of late. I only had to wait a few minutes before your systems came back, but the person prior to me had already been waiting 30 minutes. Once your computer systems can back, the process of pickup was smooth. I work as a computer programmer / website and back-end systems developer. You need to make sure you have a top notch team of developers to maintain and improve your computer systems. If you are relying on externally licensed systems or services, you might consider the option of doing more in-house development (or at least have better in-house oversight of these external developers…).

Jose GI have rented many U-Hauls over the years. Most of the time you guys nail it. However, this experience was subpar. The van I rented was without a doubt the dirtiest vehicle I have ever rented from U-Haul. It was apparent that it was not clean and in fact hadn't been cleaned for some time. I was rather disappointed because this is not the U-Haul standard I just thought I would take the time to let you know because this is the only way we can hope to correct this. Merci.

Joshua HThis is the second time that I have used UHaul and declined the Safe Move coverage when I reserved the vehicle only to have it show up on my bill. This is a breach of our contract. I am being charged for a service that I did not want and couldn't use since I am unaware of it until after I am done. I am considering going to Penske since you are effectively charging me almost double what you advertise.
