octavio lThe service itself was ok. The hand truck we added was not in the van, I had to put in myself. The van itself was dirty, windshield fluid indicator kept flashing, left rear tire pressure indicator kept flashing, another indicator light kept going off for an open door.
ELLIOT KEquipment was older than other locations but it functioned well. It was a good experience.

YAAKOV YWe were told to fill the vehicle up with gas prior to returning it (which WE did) however we were charged an additional 25 for gas. We drove the vehicle straight from Middletown to Nanuet/New City to drop off a sofa and a love seat. We don't smoke; we had no food or drink yet we were charged about another 25 to "clean" the vehicle. That is robbery. We will not be using U-Haul again.

AMRITPAL SRemove locations that are not opened during preferred pick up time to avoid confusion. Very upset that I was inconvenienced at pickup to have to drive 20 minutes out the way to another location. I was told I wouldn't receive the $50 back because the pickup location was closed. I was delayed an hour of pickup time and almost missed a delivery.

Luis GI had the oldest uhaul truck I ever rented with the check engine and tire pressure lights on. The back was not swept. It still had a small piece of electronics left in the back. However, I was only driving local and have dealt with this location before. The staff is friendly and accommodating and I did not have any issues with the truck. The store manager also informed me of the check engine light and tire pressure light before I stepped into the truck. I will use this store again. I have rented from them before with no issues.

BAHA SThe truck has an engine warning light before I started using it. The engine did not sound like it was maintained at all. The driver-side mirror was loose so any bumps on the road shifted the mirror to the point where I had to hold the mirror in place while driving. The person who handled my reservation essentially forced me to write a 5-start review at vehicle drop-off, which is why I'm rewriting the review (for accuracy's sake). This experience left a bad taste in my mouth and made me second guess renting from U-Haul in the future.
