Daniel QI only need the trailer for 3 hours. I was told that it would have been cheaper to do a 1 way rental. The charge was $200. When I dropped it off at the other end approximately 2 hours later I was told that I was over charged.

Clinton MThe ashtray had ashes in it and smelled of smoke there was someone else's food and water bottles in the truck... the person that rented it to me with the paperwork was the only decent part of it! The recommendation on movers was awful.. they told me they were done and left early while I was with a realtor busy, then I found furniture I could not move by myself!! I had even paid for extra 2 hrs and only used 1 of it!!! Whole experience was just messed up ..2 large 1000 dollar vases broken! Holes in the back of air loom couch from being put on top of a dresser with mirror plates and you could hear them rip so I know they knew they did it... damage to the top of the 2000 dollar Juke box that a 1960 and no longer in mint condition.. they knew they did this and said nothing! Just left!! Awful experience!!! All the way around !!! Paid 3200 for this move and came out with 5000 in damage and nowhere to put my stuff... all this was very important as it comes from a relative who passed away in July!!!

Tim MThe place I picked it from was an automotive mechanic place. Not sure if they got the uhaul from another place but it was dirty inside the cab. I cleaned the grease, from what looked like food, off the radio dials. The AC was not working well and in Louisiana humidity driving into Tx heat is no joke with only a low pressure AC. I also did not appreciate driving with roaches on the dashboard as I'm driving 75mph on a hwy with heavy semi traffic. I almost had a heart attack trying to kill those suckers. I think they popped up after I tried the AC on high. This was the worst experience I had. Did not feel comfortable driving the uhaul after seeing the bugs. If I pay almost $700 for a uhaul to move from one state to the other it should have been bug and dirty free. Not fair I paid that much for the service I got. Let me know what can be done. The only good thing was the full tank of gas.

Jake MThe checkout procedure was troublesome. They had trouble making changes to the order and the web page was having issues on their machine. Not sure how much of that is their fault vs the U-Haul system. After hooking up the trailer, the left side lights weren't working. They said there must be a problem with my vehicle because "nothing is wrong with the trailer." I was using a brand new vehicle with factory installed towing. I decided to take the trailer anyway since lights on the right side were working. Upon closer inspection later, I found that the tail lights on the left side weren't plugged in and the wires were simply dangling. After plugging in, they worked although the car still reported electrical problems.

BRAIN SOnly issue I has was with the traffic scheduling department who would not allow me to drop the tow dolly off early at another location less than 5 miles away to get it out of the way. I know there are exceptions made and the customer service rep could care less of my issue. Spoke to her manager and same attitude - Jackson Mississippi. Customer Service sucks as far as I am concerned. I use UHaul often to help friends move and will shop around on my next move.

LariNeisha KAt location of pick-up, the truck I was given was the only one on the lot. The appearance of the truck was beat up with scratches and dents all over, all cosmetic and didn't affect the truck . Prior to leaving the lot I checked it all over and only found one issue and that was the wipers. Wipers seemed very worn and passenger side fluid hose was broken and hanging forward of the vehicle. I asked the representative inside if any replacement parts were available and he told me no and couldn't help me. This made the drive long and daunting as I had to stop occasionally to clean the windows. During one of these stops, I stepped on the metal grate below the driver's side door and the grate teetered forward. The back two bolts that hold it down were missing. They were there when I left because I had to clean the windows before getting on the road. this could pose as a safety concern causing a rolled ankle, knee of someone to fall if not fixed. The metal grate bounced and made noises the rest of the trip. The A/C was intermittent as well and had to drive the whole eight hours with the windows down during the day. A/C would blow but any bouncing of the truck and the air would quit blowing. I could hear the blower going but no air was flowing. Made for a hot and loud trip. Driver's side speaker(s) is inoperable and the radio had a very hard time holding a station. But with the windows down, coupled with the bouncing of the grate with missing hardware, couldn't hear the radio anyways. There was also a delay in the truck shifting in and out of overdrive. Not sure of the time to shift in and out of overdrive but it seemed to about 10 to 15 seconds before it would shift. So the grate bouncing around coupled with the A/C being intermittent and wiper operation made for a long trip. Please take a look at the issues I've addressed to assist the next customer. Jason MHave staff that understand how to operate computers, that will not hang up on customers, will verify fuel levels before printing or that will adjust the contract after seeing that the fuel level on the contract was incorrect. Instead of issuing quotes, then tacking on extra fees, stand behind a quote that was given, or quote rates properly.
John BIt would be nice to see a little bit better pricing. Being that U-Haul is the only company renting van trailers, you kind of hold all the cards on this issue. Either that or try doing discounts for military members, especially if they are moving to a different base.
