If I ever need to rent anything from U-Haul again, I will use this location. Staff was very friendly.
WESLEY GThis Location was our second pick by default. Your company originally booked us for 03/07/2025 at Port Ave and Tarlton, Corpus Christi, Tx. We were supposed to have the 26 ' Box Truck rented for 24 hrs. The assistant manager Britney, very rudely told us that we had to return the truck by 12 noon the next day and that if we didn't it would be an additional $200. We then called your agent at U-Haul and she agreed to have the rental retuned by 5:45pm the next day. Once again Britney, very rudely said no and that your office didn't run her shop. Thanks to your office the agent was able to locate another Box Truck in Alice, Tx. Britney the Assistant Manager in Corpus Christi, Tx should be fired and we will not recommend the Port and Tarlton U-Haul. Thank you for all your help.
DANIEL SThere were no issues with second location that truck was picked up from aside from having to drive 45 minutes. We were told at first location they didn't have a truck for us even though I had reserved days in advance. Then charged for extra mileage even though we had to drive so far to pickup equipment! Contacting support was of no help either!

Andrea JThe young man that served me when I returned the van was rude and was arguing with me. He want to charge me for gas when I parked the van. I took a photo and he did also of the fuel gauge. It was clearly in between 3/4 and full, which is where it was supposed to be. He said that it was on 3/4 which it was not. He then called the manager, she was actually very helpful and nice. We showed her the photo and she quickly said that the fuel was exactly where it needed to be and that I was correct. She left then the young man went to the driver seat turned on the van and started to turn the steering wheel to try and make the fuel gauge move. He still wanted to charge me for not enough gas in the tank. I told him that if that is the way they conduct business here I wasn't going to use them anymore. I also told him that he was doing a poor job and it was bad customer service and they would lose business if he continued to do that. He said he didn't care.
RENE VDid a check-in online thinking I could skip the wait. When I arrived to the pick up location the individual assisting kept asking the same questions I did in the online check-in, I took out the paper that had everything I had selected for the U-Haul and asked the individual if he wanted to look at it to see everything I was requesting and the individual said no... Not sure why they offer to check-in online if they are not going to accept it when you arrive at the pick up location. Besides the above listed information and no air condition, the U-Haul got the job done.
Christa MI was given a receipt for $126,45 at the time I returned the truck. Then I get an email with a receipt for $143.91. This is not acceptable!!!!
LETICIA GAlways straight forward and easy to rent from. Only needed the trailer for about a day…couldn't bring it back till 4 hrs after my original pick up time. Picked up at 1:30pm, could bring it back by 530 pm the next day and still charged me for 2 days and expected me to bring it back early. It is what it is I suppose.
CODY CMake sure the previous customer cleans the inside cause it was dirty when I picked it up but cleaned it out so I wouldn’t get charged

Carmela DSilver Star Food Stores did a wonderful job, making the rental process quick and easy. I had made a uhaul reservation at another location for the same day (weeks in advance), and was not notified that the desired uhaul size was not available. I arrived to discover the wrong size truck sitting in the lot. The only alternative given was to drive an hour away for the correct sized uhaul. Thank you to Silver Start Food Stores for helping resolve a stressful situation on an already stressful and busy day!
Logan ZWe had to stop and try to charge the battery to the vehicle because it kept dying when we would use the cargo light to unload what he had picked up... We had to leave the vehicle running so the battery would not die which took longer for us to finish and then had to replace the fuel due to it having to stay running which is in my opinion we should not have to do on our part due to poor maintenance

SAN JI rent UHaul trucks and trailers pretty often and this was one of my fastest and most convenient experiences. They have a gas station, so you can replace the fuel right there when you return - it's some of the cheaper gas in Alice, too. They have a good convenience store if you need snacks or drinks for the road. I only needed a truck for some local hauling, so I parked my car there while I had the truck.

YVONNE CI really enjoyed this U-Haul dealer. Staff informed me of there usual policy and procedures but catered to my individual concerns an request. That overall made my day before I even left the lot, but then when I get back to return the equipment, these guys offered to help me with my gear and even recommend a big tasty burger right in house 勞勞勞 talk about AWESOME!!! Very clean restroom to get freshed up. A.c. worked well in there for this south Texas heat. Over all my years from renting from uhaul this little dealer in Alice, Texas was by a long shot THE ABSOLUTE BEST! Great experience. Great staff. Great store! Will definitely recommend and be back every time I'm working in that area! Thank you. Thank you. Thank you!!! ⚓️

jose sI wouldn't gave them one star but I had to. The lady came out to the fuel pump and started going over uhaul...I wasn't even done pumping gas. She told me I need to walk inside and ask them for a broom and I said for what? She said the truck was dirty. There was a bunch of little berry's on the bumper and you could see that they were old because they were stuck to it. So...the lady tried to be funny and laughed as she looked over to the parking lot and said well......there's no trees over there....I laughed back and said I didn't pick it up from here. Oh after that she was mad. She jumped in the uhaul looked at milage and said I owed like 95 dollars...I tried to tell her I already paid in advance...she didn't want to hear it. So I knew what she was going to do. Charge me again. So I just moved money from one account to another....what do you know. She called...yelling saying I had insufficient funds ...I told her again I paid already. I told her it was pending on my account....I know it's because of weekend and my bank will have pos till Monday. I told her that and she just went off saying that it's waiting for uhaul approval....I could go on and on but I should of know to go to a drug dealing gas station...thinking about the whole situation....thats what I get for giving them the benefit of the doubt l....NEVER AGAIN!!!
