In all of the St. Paul, MN. metropolitan area I could not find a franchise that would rent me a "one-way" trailer? I had to drive 50 miles to a little town in Wisconsin to rent a car hauler and during a holiday weekend she was only open for one hour? This was not stated on their website plus online was the only means by which the transaction could be made and I arrived one hour late. After a 2,5 hour drive plus having to go out of my way to collect this trailer I was angry enough to take the trailer whether anyone was there to greet me or not. I knew the trailer # would pop up once I dropped it in La Crosse, WI. and that part went smooth and I would recommend them.

Bryanna CWhat was not good and why I would not recommend this service is that they charged me $13 for gas and I think it was not fair and they also charged me for 10 miles and my trip was less, I ended up paying almost $80 for less than an hour of use.

Steve BI realize I only quoted needing about 35 miles. (I ended up using 31). However, to get into the truck and see it was basically on empty was very intimidating! Also, it was about 10 degrees outside. The lock (to retrieve my key) was basically frozen. I had to work and work and work at it to get the letters to turn. Ended up freezing my thumb. Perhaps have a cover over that lock, so future renters won't have to struggle in the cold like I did. Thank you-

MICHAEL TEverything was great here, except the trucks were backed into tree branches. It was a little difficult to see if the branches had caused any cosmetic damage to the rear of the truck/door.

Twice now, i've rented from U-haul at a certain location and been required to pick up the trailer 30 min away at a different location. That has been the only negative aspect. Everything else including communication has been great.

Michael FGeolocation does not recognize this location using the web. It was necessary to download the U-Haul app to initiate my rental, which I did not wish to do.

Michael OMobile App did not work - it was unable to match the location to the address in two different devices (LG V50 and Samsung Galaxy S22). Location services permissions were enabled always on for the U-Haul app and location was verified accurate and functional with Google maps "current location"
Tyler KYour app is totally useless. It took 2 hours to get the truck and I ended up waiting for the store to open in order to complete the process. The same thing happened to my brother 2 weeks previous at a different location. 2 thumbs down. Will never use it again .
Dave LIn case the above comments on the 1-800 line experience didn't register, here is a repeat: This comment is not directed at the location, rather at the uHaul customer service 1-800 line and the process. Simply stated in terms you should be able to feel my experience come through - it sucks and was painful to say the least. No assistance was received and was let down at each transfer to 'another department'.
James FComputer system wasn't working when I returned the 5x8 trailer I rented for the afternoon. My receipt has to be emailed, so I didn't get a chance to review the final charges. When the emailed receipt came, it had an extra $5 fee for "safe trip". I didn't ask for or want this. I had declined the optional insurance offered for damage, so not sure why this was added to my bill as some supplemental insurance. Upon looking into what that is, it's for roadside help for getting locked out or running out if gas. Might make sense if I rented a truck, but makes no sense for renting a trailer. Feels like a way to sneak in a fee for something I never agreed to buy. Never had this issue renting trailers from other Uhaul locations.
