After being told that I had to go to a new location because what I booked was not going to be ready. So I had to do UHaul logistics for them without any compensation. The agent is what is wrong with customer service today. She laughed at me and hung up, uncountable times instead of providing customers with what they actually bought. So I make the drive, making me miss my first pickup, only to get to the branch where a long line of customers are complaining about the availability of trucks. I had to wait nearly an hour, to be told there was system problems. So we sat. And we filled out forms online 5 times. I finally get my truck, and all the extras that I booked where not on the truck. So moved manually, late, without labour because I was late. Next time, I'll spend the extra money to use a reputable service, with a better standard.

MARILUNNA GBe transparent about all the costs of the rentals. When I turned in the vehicle, one way rental, I was hit with extra mileage charge. I wasn't informed there was going to be any additional mileage, I was just told one way charges.

STEVEN ODisappointed... I had made my reservation online but felt something was off as I didn't see anything asking about where I wanted to return the Uhaul. I called the location to make sure everything was as it should, and just as I suspected the item I had selected was not a one way. I asked we get the reservation changed to something I could use one way. The employee updated my reservation to a One Way UTV trailer, no problem, and updated my reservation. Done, Great, Amazing! All done and confirmed 5hrs prior to pick up and confirmed over the phone, with a live employee at the location. Arrived to our Pick up location at the time indicated on our contract, and guess what, no UTV trailer was there for our pick up. The employee goes on to say " uhhhh, I don't know why that happened but you can go get one at a different location 5mi down the road." That all fine and great except it's 20mins til they close, rush hour traffic, and would tack on an additional 30mins to our venture which we were on a very tight time constraint. I chose this location specifically because it was 5mins away from our pick up location of the item we were hauling back to Austin with... I told them no I am not going to risk that as the other location was in the complete opposite direction. I told them I needed to pick something up here, there is no other option just get me something ASAP. So we ended up with a covered trailer to which the employee then was making comments as we wrapped up the reservation that I should be grateful they were giving me this because I was taking someone else's reservation??? Like LOL ok, well it wouldn't have been a problem if you had just stepped out for 5 seconds when I called 5 hours earlier to confirm you actually had what you told me I was suppose to get??? Best part is, they charged me full price for the stupid oversized trailer I didn't even want. I didn't even bother fighting them at the time because I was already running even farther behind now having to deal with all this. I just felt like the whole situation was just a result of shear laziness and I ended up being the one to have to pay the price for their negligence with my time, effort, and money? Not super cool.

RANDALL WUHaul's computer system is the worst, most screwed up thing I have ever encountered. It took almost 50 minutes to get me ready to go just in the system. That system will drive people away. A customer behind me stated that he rents trailers fairly often and it is like this every time. UHaul got taken to the cleaners by your system programmers.
GARY BI've never received such awesome customer service as I did on 3/10/25. Ms. LaToya at the Fairbanks 290 location is amazing. I'm disabled and a single Mom. My son is usually with me to help me take care of business but he had practice that day. Ms. LaToya saw how overwhelming things were for me and without me even asking, she worked everything out. She is a great asset to Uhaul. I can't Thank Her enough for all she done for me. I'm suggesting 2 THUMBS UP & A NICE RAISE IF POSSIBLE!!! . Thank You Ms. Latoya. Because of her I refuse to do business anywhere else.

When I asked why, the staff admitted they were "distracted"-which was obvious, as they were playing around and having inappropriate conversations instead of working. The manager did nothing to correct their behavior and was just as rude. As a manager myself, I would never tolerate this level of incompetence. Because of this experience, I will never use U-Haul again or recommend it to anyone. Take your business elsewhere.

CAROLYN OI recently rented a U-Haul and had a frustrating experience with unexpected charges and misleading pricing. 1. Insurance Charged Without Approval - I never agreed to purchase rental insurance, yet it was added to my total without my consent. This is completely unacceptable, and I would have declined it had I been given the option. 2. Misleading Mileage Quote - When I booked, I was quoted a price that included 100 miles. However, upon returning the truck, I was told the quote only covered 50 miles, forcing me to pay an additional $30. Had I been given the correct information upfront, I would have planned accordingly. 3. Lack of Transparency - At no point did the U-Haul representative clarify these charges when I picked up the truck. I only discovered the extra fees at drop-off, which felt like a deliberate bait-and-switch tactic
TAMMIKA PVery pleasant experience, my husband's bike broke down and I needed a motorcycle trailer to pick it up. The sweet Gal at the counter (didn't get her name) and Latoya were very kind and helpful and got me hooked up and on my way. Thank you Gals! We were able to get the bike home safely.

PATRICK BThe gentleman who helped me went above and beyond. I believe his name was Andres. The issue I had was the mileage stated 15 000 and I didn't notice it until I was on the road. I drove a total of 40 miles. I showed the GPS distance and took pictures but the mileage was at 15 080 when I realized it was incorrect. I was told by customer support (2 calls) that it would be taken care and by the manager. I honestly thought mileage was included so I'll have to rent somewhere else next time due to this mistake and charging me for mileage I did not incur.

STACEY SThe U-Box was delivered 19 Nov and picked up 20 Nov and then sat in Houston for a few days and then made its way to Oregon. I was very surprised the U-Box was delivered to Redmond, OR 27 Nov with the anticipated delivery to where we requested in Bend, not for another 9 days. Sadly, the wood in the U-Box was moldy and several items in the container had to be thrown out due to the amount of mold. Not certain if the mold was picked up in Houston, as it was still very warm and it's excessively humid in Houston, and/or if it was picked up while hanging out in Redmond, OR for 9 days, possibly the base of the U-Box sitting in water or snow (it did both during the time it sat there). I would HIGHLY recommend, that if a box arrives early, to ask the renter if they would like to receive their box sooner. When I initially placed the order, the only thing of which I had control, was the date delivered to my place in Texas. The date when it would be delivered to me in Oregon was set by U-Haul, and SOMETHING in those 3 weeks caused the mold, and it does not encourage me to recommend the use of the U-Box. The gal that delivered the U-Box in Texas was extremely efficient and helpful, highly recommend a kudos for her. The ones who helped on the calls when I needed help, they were very helpful, too. The only negative would be the wait to speak with someone when calling, at times it was over 10 minutes.
-- BThe incessant requirement to have verbal confirmation every step of the way, while it is nearly impossible to get through on the line or being redirected to UHaul services in different geographic areas is not very helpful.

When I arrived yesterday I was then informed that they didn't have any available. The manager Rhonda Holliday took over assisting me and her attitude was less than professional. The way she was talking to her employees was simply terrible. She then pretty much told me that it was no way i had a unit reserved even with my confirmation number. There was no way I could have reserved something she didn't have. Again, the way she ways talking with me was less than professional. I then told her that I don't know what was going on but I indeed had a unit reserved. My business was then routed to the 290 and Fairbanks location. When I arrived, Ms. Latoya acknowledged me immediately. I asked if I could take a seat while I waited. She granted my request as I waited. I was very grateful because I was in a lot of pain still recovering from a hip replacement. She then started to assist me. Her customer service was amazing. She went above and beyond to make sure all of my questions were answered and my check in was painless and welcoming. She didn't treat me as if I was a bother to her as Rhonda Holliday did at the West Rd location. Latoya really treated me as a welcomed guest instead of a customer or a number. I am so glad my business was shifted over to the 290 and Fairbanks location. Ms. Latoya and the Fairbanks Crew really have their customer service down like a well oiled machine. TWO THUMBS UP FOR THE FAIRBANKS TEAM FOR A JOB WELL DONE!!! Thank You Ms. Latoya.

Miss Latoya was very friendly and was working very hard at multitasking because some other co-workers had called off and she was doing her best to assist and help everyone in a timely manner. I had to remove the glass and when I opened my storage this Winters all my stuff was reorganizated differently. I found a rat trap in the middle back section of my storage. And a medal vase I has was damage some boxes tore from the reorganizating. Still looking for a coushion to one of my couches. I left the storage on June 12 and waiting on my pro-rate refund.. My due day is the 17th. I have insurance with uhaul and will look to see if they will pay me for damages. The lady closed the account and I asked for refund and damages she will talk manager: Jeff .. and said he will call me.

A new home purchase in town and a job assignment move to another state. Jeffrey and his staff were able to help me with the size of truck and supplies that I needed for my move. As well as a storage room that fit my needs. No only were the staff friendly the other clients at this Uhaul location were friendly and helping each other out in many positive ways. This facility is beyond unprofessional, I've had multiple issues with my storage unit access and all the employees have loaded excuses or just tell you the manager isn't there and to come back which isn't really helpful when you need assistance immediately. One day I needed access to my unit and my key didn't work which was odd because I did not change my lock, I go to the front desk and someone changed my units lock without notifying me or giving me a copy of the new key. When I asked for an explanation as to why management changed my lock and did not call me, I wasn't given an answer just "we changed it for security purposes" which I think is concerning. They also didn't have the new key labeled and a employee had to go through a plastic bag of unit keys to try to find the new key for the new lock. That was exhausting. I decided to move out my unit because my experience has been the worse. I move my stuff out, go to the storage two days later to see that they already cleaned my unit and secured it with a "customer ready" tag before I could even tell the front counter I wanted to start the move out process. I'm so grateful to never have to deal with this location or uhaul specifically ever again.

The dash had a warning message that the RR tire was low s d the front desk person said she could not help me which was not safe and poor customer service. I had to take the truck to a station. to get it taken care of of. In addition I got other warning ⚠️ messages while driving the truck back to Houston. I did not know that you needed three contact phone numbers. Had I been told that beforehand the process would not have been as complicated. Then when I opened up the storage unit there were pest traps all over the floor. I went downstairs to ask the about them and they told me to just leave them in there. Which made no sense to me because the floor was almost completely covered with the sticky traps. So my experience was not the best. The owner was friendly and helpful.

We had to beat the lock open/closed to secure it! I made several complaints, nothing was done but I was billed every month on time for a broken storage. I couldnt enter the storage outside of operating hours because it required assistance.
