TIMOTHY FI did not give the highest rating because there were several last minute changes that made the experience a bit more trying on us such as canceling the one-way booking and changing the return location., but do know it was a busy moving weekend and I appreciate the discount for the disruption. When I tried to look up a detail in my order it seemed I would be diverted by ads for various products (large screen TV kit, etc.) and that was a bit annoying, but I have and will continue to recommend your economic and convenient service. Ruby's Moving Company was GREAT.
Mary JBefore installation I specified I wanted the 7 point harness for a trailer with electric brakes. I got the harness and was handed my keys, but when I asked about activating the brake system I was told it would require extra parts. The installer was too busy to explain the issue so until I take it elsewhere I have a hitch that won't tow

REGINALD SOverall everything was good. First delivery was 2 hours outside of the told delivery window and we hired movers. Only able to get 1 hour out of the movers since the boxes were brought so late. Also charged an extra month of storage even though the boxes were out of storage and at my house.

NEAL VI reported the vehicle stolen and I am also the same one who located the vehicle. I notified the manager and sent pictures to his personal phone. I then asked him if he wanted me to contact the police department and cancel the report and he said no because they will impound the vehicle and the Uhaul company would have to pay a bunch of money to recover it. He asked me to wait until their tow truck came to tow the vehicle and said he'll take care of me. I waited four hours in the heat for their tow truck driver to come for him to bill me $500 for having the truck towed and I didn't ask For it. So not only did he lie to me he billed me for something that he didn't want to pay for. I was misled, stabbed in the back and manipulated. Nobody should do business with liars and criminals. Not only that the place is over run by drug users and homeless people walking around and using drugs on their property.

MICHAEL AI rented from a few different U-Hauls due to location needed, but this is my primary location I ran from and still continued to receive excellent service. From David the manager to every one of the employees that have assisted me on my rentals they have all been very professional and treated me with kindness and respect. I have no complaints from the other locations I've run it from but this location in Pomona again has provided exceptional service. I want to thank the team of the Pomona U-Haul location on Garey and Arrow Hwy.

Chirag PThere were some requirements for renting a van that I was not made aware of prior to the actual rental. On the day I wanted to rent the vehicle and was asked for these requirements I was a little taken aback. Later, it was explained why I needed references and managed to calm down. Also, although the associate was trying to be helpful, I needed a unit reserved for my final destination. Instead of explaining I needed to do it, they tried to help and led me to believe I had a unit reserved. I called the manager of the site to make the reservation myself.

VICTOR ADavid and Dylon were GREAT!!!! The electrical in the truck I rented may need servicing. The radio kept bouncing around, not just stations but also bands and "Source". The Fuel gauge isn't accurate and upon check out, the odometer gauged me driving 34 miles. I only drive to Upland and back which is 4,4 miles. I also did not receive the 1/2 dozen furniture pads,/blankets I requested when I checked out the trailer, and paid for. When I mentioned to the person when I turned in the trailer, he said that I was not charged for them. I saw upon receiving my emailed receipt, that I was charged for them. How'd I request a refund for items I did not receive? Merci.
CRUZ EDavid is a STAR! He really got us in and extra effort to make us feel important! Got us in and out quickly. Faster than I would have imagined. Katie, was exceptional getting me loaded into my storage unit. Very helpful, professional and courteous.

Heikki VFound a much bigger storage unit for way cheaper. Rent was going up and up. To think that you never missed a payment and barley went to the storage they would have been more interested in keeping your business instead they are interested in putting up the monthly price. From $96 to $109 to $139 to $150. Staff is friendly so that's good. But the surrounding area isn't too safe. Lighting inside is good and well ventilated but so much dust collected since the top of the storage isn't sealed. Just closed off with a thin wire.

JOSE FEverything was fine with the facility and staff. No one did anything to be disrespectful or rude. The truck I rented did not have much gas and I only used it for five miles to move my mom basically across the street. The low fuel light came on in that five miles. I did not put gas in it and was told I would b charged $36. I then drove it and got gas. I tried to contact David the manager who had left for the day. Put some gas in your trucks before you rent them!!!

CHRISTINE CMiscommunication on fuel. One guy said the truck was on empty the other said it was on half tank when I originally got the truck. When I returned it, it was on a quarter tank which I drove 6 miles so kinda hard to believe. Overall confusing and I guess I will have to take a picture of the fuel when I get in the car next time. I was never told how much fuel was in it in the beginning mind you. The whole fuel thing happened when I returned the truck.
MICHAEL FThe vehicle was in bad shape. The entire 12 hours we were in the vehicle it was extremely uncomfortable. It bounced really bad whether loaded or unloaded and it has a jerking motion coonstantly as though it was being constantly tugged backwards. I contacted roadside assistance and was given this reference# - 3219500.

Heddy NI used this location for 5 years for many rentals. The staff is always super helpful and super competent. I have had nothing but great experiences there. I love these guys. I'm not kidding. I love going there and doing business with them. I always know it's going to be fast with great service. I just moved to Portland. Gonna miss you guys.

When a mobile storage unit was too big, they didn't hesitate to find a stationary storage that was the right size. My one issue was with what I am assuming is an automated letter. In October the rewards credit card I had on file at U-Haul for a monthly automatic payment was switched from one bank to another, well ahead of the expiration date. Instead of a letter or email saying, hey your card declined, could you call us with a new card, I get a letter DEMANDING payment or my storage unit will be locked and legal action taken. After paying regularly for months, I don't think that kind of letter is appropriate. The tone of the letter was threatening. Not a good experience. I'm assuming this was from the local manager. So, I won't be using u-haul storage at Garey Ave. again.

Perhaps something worth researching? Biggest complaints versus competing storage facilities are low ceilings delimiting my overall storage volume and no in-unit lighting.

I even called to confirm and was told that the main store closes at 7 PM, but access card or pin # I would be able to go into the storage section until 10 PM. I went today at 6:30 PM and they warned they would be closing at 7 PM. Other than this, I've had a great experience going to this location. Staff is helpful. No complaints.

The only downside is all the homeless hanging around the facility. I had to constantly keep my head on a swivel to keep aware of my surroundings. I serve in the military and I'm always being sent out of the country for training or on temporary assignments and can't always make my payments on time. David would waive my late fees and even gave me his personal cell number so I can make my payments directly with him. I was just recently deployed to Ukraine and he made sure my unit was closed out and sent me a message letting me know it was done. My overall experience with him and all the staff was impeccable and well worth every dime I spent.

I am disabled senile customer in a wheelchair Secondly, The Behavior of a staff member at the N Garey location named Karl was insolent n displayed gross insurbodination n should be removed from performing such essential customer services like that for U-Haul Customers! N should be terminated immediately To me his behavior poses a great liability to the company! Thirdly, I rented the U-Haul truck one way from Bakersfield California to Montclair San Bernardino County n to be dropped off at the North Garey location in Pomona n qualify for a month's free storage facility at the same location After a lot of unnecessary wrangling with Karl the truck was dropped off I arrived home n noticed that my American Express Card was charged $65 I called U/Haul to find out what the charges of $65 was for? Initially I was told it was for gas! Attempt was made the day before with the tank fully filled n Karl rejected the drop off! What is the charge of $65 for? This case is filed for dispute Slready my credit card had been charged $181 plus for the trip Bakerfield to Montclair California Please stop charging my credit card unnecessary because it is In your possession I will prefer monthly bills sent to me for settlement I am very disappointed in U/Haul n will never refer anyone to u! Answer 1 the facility felt secure however by storage row never turned on. Luckily there was natural light from the window. Answer 5 although, facility was clean the storage area, restroom, lobby and indoor painting the lighting in my storage area wasn't working.

All the units were dark and small, and the hours aren't convenient. While some of the staff is friendly, the one who rented me a van had a sticker that said "owner" on his nametag and was the least helpful and competent of the staff.

They didn't close out my space and I was sent a upcoming payment notice. It took 45 minutes on the phone to resolve their mostake.
Nicholas S | Expérience généraleMy unit had ants, i was once locked inside the facility for over an hour because they locked up early and no one bothered to check if anyone was still there not to mention that there is no way to reach the actual facility by phone when you call the listed number it gives you the 800 number and you can be on hold indefinitely, and the parking lot is always covered in broken glass and litter. It is poorly managed but the staff was always friendly just not very helpful. I had an outdoor unit and 2 uboxes there. I requested access to my 2 uboxes and was told to deal directly with the GM, i gave 2 days notice and the boxes weren't put out until 1 pm and i wasted money and time renting a trailer and when i came to get a couple essentials with my car they had put the units away even though i let the GM know i would be back before close to access them. This location is a mess.

I couldn't get helpers to move items out due to the time they closed the building. There were no ramps for the units upstairs.

They would always say they'll send a message to call me back. They would never call me back. Only time they did was when I'd pay my rent late since no one could help with changing my due date or extend the due date to avoid the late fees. So I paid the $27 late fee every month for almost a year. Other than that, I love this facility and the staff! Call center needs some customer service training and more access to assist with accounts tho...

They are very customer focused, which is hard to find these days. The only request would be to have the local number posted and more available. The 800 number helps with most basic scheduling, but when I as a customer need something more specific and need to talk with the local office, it was impossible to find a phone number that I could call directly. I do appreciate how the mgr responded to my requests, but it would be perfect if local office numbers were more accessible.

We went to storage unit but not even a week after just getting the storage unit we had not slip and lock on our storage unit! Unacceptable.. We go into office to the very people who just gave us the unit and they remember us and so they didn't have answers as to why it happened and how it was someone else fault and no ownership taken. Very bad experience with this process!

They also give you the first months rent free and if you ever need to upsize Or down size they have a great selection to do so.
