VICTOR MCliff and the Team @ Downs Drive, Erie, PA were very attentive, efficient, and professional!!! After a complete disaster in dealing with online U-Haul representatives that were unwilling to help resolve an issue with trucks/equipment that they continuously changed and moved pickup locations, a rental CSR that could not understand why I did not want to drive an additional 50 miles to pick up a truck from where I originally scheduled it (moved my pickup from ~5 miles away to a 50 mile round trip, a CSR with your Moving Help division- Heather with Northeast Ohio region) was unprofessional and told me that "it wasn't her problem" and her only solution was to cancel my reservation, I decided to CANCEL ALL ORDERS WITH YOUR ONLINE TEAM. I then called Cliff at the Downs Drive location and within 5-minutes he had me setup with an alternative solution. This whole situation caused my wife, my family (they were planning to help with the unload process in Erie), and myself strife, stress, and inconvenience. This also has now caused me financial ($$$$) impact where I now to have to make additional trips of 200 miles + hiring unload help again to complete this move since U-Haul was unable to honor a confirmed reservation for equipment. Also, besides having to spend valuable time on the phone cancelling confirmed equipment orders that were rendered unavailable in the evening before the move and since the first MOVE HELP company cancelled (actually changed their ability to honor the reservation made) I was also forced to endure the stressful process of finding another moving help company late Friday afternoon for the Saturday moving activities. Attention U-Haul- YOU COMPLETELY RUINED AN ALREADY STRESSFUL SITUATION! THANK GOODNESS for Cliff and Team at the Downs Drive location for their ability to help me resolve the issue and manage to at least complete part of the moving activities planned for Saturday.

Stephen RTruck was ready and waiting. Drove 20 miles, and 2 gallons was barely enough to cover it. Absolutely no amenities in the cab - manual locks and windows (that were hard to crank), but ports for audio. Inside of windshield was filthy, and hard to see out of.
VIRGINIA WWill definitely be using again next summer! This makes moving our daughter in/out of her dorm so much easier! We nice facility!

Allie WEverything went great! The truck drives very smoothly, and feels more like a car than a moving truck. For the brief time I drove it, I actually enjoyed driving it. The brake and gas are responsive, without being too touchy. The maintenance on the vehicle is excellent. I would recommend U-Haul to anyone moving to a new location. :)

This Uhaul location helped with all our needs with a truck, moving boxes, supplies & a temperature controlled storage area at a reasonable price. We stored the items for a couple years and they where helpful & friendly when we finished our storage needs. I highly recommend this uhaul location

We were told and expecting a refund for the price difference between a large cube and a small one when we moved to the smaller one mid month. My wife and I both heard the same thing. Nope. We get a credit for use towards a locker we will likely never need again. We feel like we were dealing with used car salesmen. On the plus side, the place was clean and the loading bays were convenient. They do need to fix their wiring disaster though. Allot of the wiring is backwards. The lights that tell you if a bay is open or not is backwards, they always show occupied. The alarm on our locker went off every time we opened it, even after badging in. Eventually, after many weeks, that was fixed but many others were not. Bottom line, be skeptical of what you are told.

Only caveat is that my storage unit triggers alarm for 10 seconds every time I open unit even after logging in. Been told that a few units have a wiring issue that causes this. Not a big deal, just annoying.

He's a skilled listener, seems to know "a lot about a lot," and his employees/staff respect and follow his example. On what authority do I make these assertions? I rose from field sales, up through the ranks (over 25+ years) to become Vice President of North American sales in the customer-centric, complex, and competitive world of high-tech medical device sales, and would've ostensibly become CEO of the world-leader in the industry/space (my company) had it not been for a near fatal accident by my wife that required me to step down and become her care-giver for 2+ years, a decision that I do not regret BUT that effectively ended a career that I loved. I still enjoy recognizing top talent and making my perspective known, and Bruce would've been a great Regional Manager for me with the appropriate medical and technical experience and acumen.

However, there was only one person there and that made the wait time really long. Typical corporation, only scheduling one person when you really need three or four. But that's on Uhaul as a company for mismanagement and not on the guy working there, who had incredible customer service and helped me out a lot.
