Been here for over 4 yrs and spent alot of money. When I wanted to move out I was a couple days past my contract date BUT already paid my $198 Storage fee for the month (note: ALWAYS on time due to it being auto draw for 4 + years) my storage unit was now empty and wanted to know if i could receive a pro rate refund? Paul who was VERY NICE said I don't see why you couldn't but you'd have to talk to our Manager Kaitlyn. I politely explained to Kaitlyn I'm moved out but it's past my payment withdraw date, 3 days to be exact! Without ANY KIND of consideration her blunt response was "NO" we don't pro-rate ! Kaitlyn was rude, inconsiderate, very unprofessional to me (CUSTOMER) as explained I've paid over $7 000 isn't there anything that can be done? NO as she proceeded out the door to tend to another customer. RUDE, RUDE,RUDE, DON'T KNOW HOW YOU MADE MANAGER. I DID LET CORPORATE KNOW ALONG WITH REGIONAL. OTHER THAN THAT , THROUGH OUT THE 4 YEARS 4 MONTHS EVERYONE ELSE AT THIS LOCATION HAVE BEEN EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE  BUFFALO ROAD ERIE PENNSYLVANIA

This is the second time I've rented space from the Eastside U-Haul. Being less than 2 miles from my house makes it a very convenient choice. The facility is very nice, and I felt comfortable with the security of the units. I would use this location again if I need storage space in the future.

Need better carts. Mattress carts are too small for most modern mattresses. Both mattress and flat carts need to have some type of wheel brake to make them more useful to load & unload (they roll away too easilly).

Employee was rude and unhelpful when trying to get the loading/unloading door open with the code. The instructions were unclear that you had to input the code into a certain door before the larger door would open. Otherwise unit was clean and accessable

Check in process was terrible. The young man Riley was extremely rude because I was running an hour late. Told me I should have called even though I reserved and had card on file to pay for rental regardless of pick up time. I was only one in the store although he directed me to lock box, gave me code to obtain key then told me the truck needed cleaned off because he was so busy he didn't have a chance to do so. He told me where the snow brush was. I walked out to truck and realized I could not reach the window nor could brush with my fractured wrist. I walked back in and advised him he would need to clean and get back door open because it was frozen shut. Awful customer service!! Drop off, thankfully was much better and wish those gentleman were there that morning.

I showed up around 12:45 pm to just drop off an auto transport because I still needed to unload the truck. When I showed up Riley. The customer support guy working had two people before me. So he asked me to back up and park the auto transport in this spot. So I did and I went ahead and disconnected it. That's when he got an attitude with me and I told him that I had to go because I had mover's waiting for me. He told me that I shouldn't have disconnected it. So when he walked out to do pump propane he was wearing crock shoes. Now being a former U-haul GM in the 710 marketing company if I'm right that's not the foot wear for the working area. So when I came back to drop off one of the 26 foot trucks that I right at 6:45 pm he got a real attitude with me and my wife told us I don't check in things after 6:30 because my manager told me that I don't have too. If this is the store manager or is this a new U-Haul thing that we don't do business after 6:30 pm but stay open until 7:00 pm. So at this point I was very pissed off and got charged 20 dollars for an after hours. So I want to know why I'm paying 20 dollars extra for for lazy and crock wear shoe employees when I was there before 7 pm. After that I returned the other two 26 truck I'm okay with the 20 dollar charge for those. So if the MCP is okay with the shoes maybe Joe Shone would 樂. Because when I was a GM and I showed up he would be fired!!!! Maybe the GM or MCP needs to do a Surprise. Visit one of these weekends and see if there employees are playing video games instead of do six step programs. I expect a reply to this. Thank you have a great day.

During business hours Riley was unable to check in equipment and told us the only way to do it is through the app. Then had an attitude with us when told we didn't know how to use the app. It was more important for him to be on his phone than assist the only customer in store. Then we were charged for after hour delivery. This is completely wrong. On another note, his dress attire was not professional unless Uhaul has changed the dress policy. Croc and sweatpants?

That is the problem in a nutshell. Any disputes or disagreements could never be resolved as you cannot talk to management, they do not listen! Cut you off in the middle of explaining your problem. We are very sorry, this would have been a much better situation in relation to our house, but never have we ever gotten so upset as we did with this facility. Speaking with other people renting space told us the same things and were extremely upset. I have tried to reach out to someone at a corporate level , to no avail. When we started our contract at U Haul we were paying approximately 50 some dollars a month, and had gone up to 94 dollars a month. We have used U Haul for yrs either to move across the country or in town, but never had an experience like we did at this particular U-Haul . They are not interested in any problem you have or willing to work to resolve any issues therein.

Would not recommend U haul to anyone ever!!! My aunt had originally got the u haul storage unit I took it over I. Sept 2023 My daughter and her bf came out and cleaned it out. I had the payment taken out of my account the 24 of the month. My daughter went to clean out unit on the 24 of July. The day the $$ was taken out of my account. I had inquired about a refund. Was told couldn't give because didn't come before the 2; of the month. What a rip off! The company got a month free. What a bunch of garbage. I'm sorry but. This is ridiculous. The o ly reason had to get unit for my mother personal items was she in nursing facility as has dementia. I will make sure not to recommend your facility to anyone. Very disappointed

The day of move in the gate got stuck and trapped us in elevator. Only by fluke was someone in storage that heard us yelling and was able to get us out. My friend had a panic attack and couldn't get in elevator again. We called office and couldn't get help no one answered the phone. So facility not safe when you need emergency help. The elevator is antiquated and there are no signs saying that if you leave the gate open nobody else can use it. My 80 yr old brother had to walk down stairs to get elevator because someone left it on 1st floor and not useuable!!! No one ever answers the phone in the store they have it sent to answering service ALL the time. I was charged a $20 fee because my auto pay on card didn't go through the 1st time. This billing issue was subsequently corrected but only after trying numerous times to contact them. I am told by manager that they cant get people to work and so are short handed all the time. I definitely DO NOT recommend this Buffalo Road Uhaul!!!

I called this location at 510pm. I live 20 minutes away. The person on the phone said I needed to be there at 630 for him to help me despite location being open at 7. When I arrived at 530 employee was so miserable and just wasn't friendly. I would ask employee to find a different Job if they were my employee. Job is about helping people, this isn't job for them.

A week prior to renting, I spent time filling out all the information online to save time and simplify the process which your website suggests, then when I go to pick up the truck , I had to give the girl all the same information I had already taken the time to provide online which was a long process making me late to meet the movers. I was asked if I wanted to download their app and I said no, then she proceeded with a long speech as to why I should, I repeated I didn't want it and she repeated her speech until I finally said fine I will get the app and then I realized I didn't have my phone and she said well I can email it to you., again she wasted my time, she could have offered that the first time I said I didn't want the app. Then she asked how long we needed the vehicle and we said we would bring it back an hour before closing and the she said well we need it back by 3 because it is reserved and she had nothing else available, then I drive by the U-Haul on E Grandview and they had 8 to 12 trucks similar size yet she never offered to see if I could get one of those. I will not be using U-Haul for my future needs and I will not recommend U-Haul if anyone ever asks

The guy at the register took 10-15 minutes to even see me and then he helped another customer when all I needed was ny key tor the u-haul. My brother grabbed the key from the counter and he did not even try to stop us from ensuring that was our right uhaul but instead confronted us when we got back as if he didn't even notice that we were in the store. The uhaul was perfect and I enjoyed my experience with the truck but the worker was inattentive and I was pushed past my pickup time because of him.

I worked with three different members of the staff at this location. All three members were friendly and helpful. They got me the equipment I needed to haul my motorcycle to a site 300 miles from home. The trailer worked perfectly, and met all of my needs to make this an easy trip. I received an immediate receipt for my use of the trailer upon return, and the prices were great. I would recommend u-haul in Harborcreek to anyone.

I had also bought ratchet straps, but was unfamiliar on how to use them. The sales person came out help me hook up my trailer and showed me how to use them. They were wonderful but highly recommend.

Started in 2020 and paid $80 for my unit.. just closed it yesterday and was paying $180 for the same unit. Don't know how someone can just raise prices anytime they want but u haul did…. Definitely not worth $180 a month!!! 臘‍♂️

I brought the truck in 2 days early which enables Uhaul to make extra money on the truck, but they still charged me extra because I was short a few gallons of gas.

Truck was a piece of crap. Water leaked all over my property inside the truck. It ran poorly and when I went to drop off them realized there was a screw in tire. Just poorly maintained, I feel. Not saying it is this locations fault as truck had Arizona plate although was not impressed.

They need to make serious improvements to the app in terms of taking vehickes back after hours. I was told to dl the app to be walked through dropping off, but the app did not even show my reservation. I checked my email and found the link to drop off, which is what i should have been instructed of rather than dl an app that does not have my order showing on it. I had to wait on phone iver 20 mins just to finally stumble across the link.

Unfortunately my unit was full of mouse droppings & a few dead bugs. The rat feces was all over, it was absolutely disgusting & as a result I had to leave some things behind. I was very disturbed by how much feces was in there however I will add that the first time I had a unit there it was in excellent condition which is why I choose them again. I don't know what happened this time but I left feeling thoroughly disappointed & disgusted. 冷

Great employees, bullshit equipment. I put gas in my truck THREE separate times and the gas needle didn't move a single millimeter. The third time I put gas in, the gas needles had moved down. Are yall just fucking with the gas needles to scam people?? There is no reason why $25+ worth of gas made the gas gauge go down. Fuck your scamming asses. Again. Great customer service. Great employees. BULLSHIT EQUIPTMENT.

Location and equipment were fine. I was totally frustrated by trying to get the truck before store hours (7 AM). I couldn't get a code to open the key box, every time I opened the Uhaul app I got a blank screen. I arrived at 6:20,needed to leave at 6:30, actually left at 7:14. Not a great experience.

The outside storage is in dissary. Equipment is being stored in incorrect locations. I cannot get to my assigned site. Other users are improperly using the facility. Some things being stored are simply junk. Facility manager says nothing can be done. Says her previous supervisor would not allow her to address the problem and she has not met current supervisor.

Your software makes moving unbearable. Almost every time that I get in line at your stores, I am waiting for your computers to process. It has been this way for at least six (6) years. I would not recommend yhat a friend go through the wait for your computers especially when they are tired, thirsty and hungry from moving! Why is your slogan "WE MAKE MOVING EASY"? ????????????? I would tell a friend to pack a lunch and bting a camp chair if you get in line at a U-Haul store ANY location because their software needs updated.

I had an absolutely amazing time with the staff and everything else, however, U-Haul themselves was not the greatest. I had completed a move-out request nearly a month ago, yet was charged for monthly rent. I called my local U-Haul and was quickly helped out by a kind gentleman, and I was good to go. However, I would like to call attention to this because it may affect someone in a more negative way than what happened to me. Thank you very much to the crew at my local U-Haul - you guys are wonderful to do business with.

Our unit "2185" was full of dead ants when we emptied it and they definitely didn't come from us. Our belongings were covered in them! Walk through the front door of the climate controlled building and you'll be greeted by mice and sometimes the odor of the bathroom. At least our stuff was secured though.

They need to make thereself clear about the documentation needed when returning the vehicle and also make their self clear that you need your phone to take pics of the room when it's emptied instead of making you walk all the way back up there again just to take pictures

I had a credit card that was compromised and in process of being replaced by the Credit Card Company. When the auto payment for U-Haul was rejected instead of calling me they sent me a late fee and a letter. I had to go to the office and give them an alternate credit card. The easiest thing would have been to call me and I would have provided an alternate card since I DID NOT KNOW the card was rejected. U-Haul wanted an Emergency Contact. When the Credit Card was rejected U-Haul sent my EMERGENCY CONTACT asking them to tell me to pay my bills!! U-Haul treated me as if I was trying to evade paying my bills. The spaces for outside storage are not clearly marked and several people parked contrary to the rules causing problems.. The one time I talked to the Manager she told me she agreed with me but her boss was the hold up. There were two rate increases in less than 6 months. Not sure why, costs must have remained the same for outside storage and there was no tax increase. My opinion, U-Haul was just piling on since prices are rising due to inflation.

I am 75 years old and I would have rated it excellent except your fright elevators are very hard to use for someone of my age so I will need to always ask someone else to take time out of there day to help me use the elevator when I got the storage unit I thought I would be able to bring in or take out when I wanted to but that won't work if I can't work fright elevator

My family used the U-Haul facility for 3 1/2 years. We felt very good about leaving all of our furniture and belongings while we were out of the country. This company waited until after I was rented and paid for to inform me that the loading dock was torn out and under construction, and this resulted in me being unable to get some of my larger peices in the unit on the day I rented a truck and paid my help. I received no discount for the inconvenience. I switched storage companies and am renting a 20x20 with a full garage door opening for 90 dollars a month.

Extremely difficult to get in touch with staff and when we did, they were some of the rudest customer service reps I've ever had the displeasure of coming across. Even when showing concern over a security issue of the front gate to the units being left open for days, I was cut off and told that this isn't a problem of the uhaul employees and that they need an outside source to come and fix the problem from a recent wind storm. This may be accurate but at the facility receiving the costumers money for a service, the approach should have been different and an apology for the inconvenience should have still be given. When initially signing up, I signed a paper for automatic withdrawal from my bank account that the rep failed to ever submit and therefore, got a late fee my first month ontop of a letter about my being late and my mother got the same letter. I get that that's the process but due to a mistake on the facilities part, unnecessary embarrassment ensued with my mother thinking I was delinquent on a bill. Then it was a pain to rectify the situation work dealing with corporate customer service and finally being transferred to the entirely rude harborcreek location staff. Will not be utilizing uhaul again.

My debit card was stolen. My account defaulted. I changed my information at the web site. There was some issue with it which the person at the counter stated loudly that the card was rejected for lack of funds. He used the OLD card that was in the system. I told him again that was the wrong card. We then used the correct card and it went through. No apology for announcing it for the entire room to hear. I went to my unit and there was a green ziplock on the unit. I called to have them remove it. At first they said they would but 20 minutes later no one came. I called back only to be transferred to the manager who stated he was going home and i could remove it myself. I stated again that I did not put it on and they needed to remove it and that I didnt want to damage it. I was told that if I didnt like it I could be removed from the unit and I could go elsewhere. Really? Is this the way UHaul treats a customer of over 4 years??

It would have been a better experience if there were not so many computer problems. The computer glitches caused delays in securing a unit, a long wait for receipts to be printed, and getting access to the building to use our unit. Waiting for an hour to get into the building while they tried to figure out what the problem was certainly the last of the many problems we encountered. Someone should figure out what's wrong with the computer.

Why such a large late fee with no grace period? Even a small curtousy email message or text message would go a long way. Especially 3 days in advance prior to your bill. That's the least someone could do. Considering other company's have the database and resources ya'll should as well. Other than the late fee my time at Uhaul was fantastic!

I reserved my unit online. After reserving I called and none seemed to have my info. A second call, and my reservation was found however the employee failed to mention that the loading doc was under construction and completely missing. A side utility door up a set of stairs was the alternative to get to my unit. I was also not told in advance about the lock provided, so I had bought an industrial lock and threw the package away making it non returnable for me. I was unable to get my largest furniture in my unit because of the side door loading entrance. No warning, no discounts. This would have completely changed my choices had I known in advance, made my move difficult and impeded what I need to store in my unit.

nice clean unit. reasonable rate. one hiccup, poor directions to accessing the unit. There are keypads with instructions on the man door and both sliding doors. Using these did not work and error message stated I was not logged in. The attendant on duty said they've been having trouble with the online information transferring over and manually opened the sliding door for me. The next time I visited the same happened, so I again went inside to find out what was up. This time the manager was on duty and stated you must first log in to the center keypad (which looks identical to the other keypads and has no signage stating you must log in to that one first). So much for contactless setup! Better posted instructions and education for employees would be good. Otherwise no other complaints.

Sometimes things get missed. No big deal. But I will say my unit wasn't clean for a very long time. A ton of cobwebs and a lot of dirt on the floor. I told the worker about it and her response was "if there was a blue tag and a lock inside I had to be clean". Ummm. Well, it wasn't. Just thought it was ironic that a company that charges me if I leave anything dirty, and here I am cleaning up after them. Kinda funny. Like I said, no big deal. Just the part of not believing me left me a little bewildered.

I emailed the manger about this facility and my experience and got no reply! I probably would have given a better rating but with no reply from the manager is horrible. Poor customer service!

Staff very helpful & easy to work with. Facility is conveniently located for me & I like that they have both inside, climate-controlled units & outside garage door access units.

Had to wait in line for 30 minutes before being served due to understaffing. Elevator in storage area hadn't been checked on as it didn't work when I stepped into the building.

The storage unit has not cleaned prior to my arrival. I booked it a few days in advance via web. Also, I was not aware that I had to purchase a special lock from U-haul. Maybe I missed it on the web

I had no problems storing my belongings for about a year at their indoor storage. The movers said there can be mice so don't store food but I had no issues.

Two years in a row I had to have storage for my trailer outside. This can be a problem in a small town like Erie. Kaitlyn was able to fix my storage issue both years. Relieving me of a real problem.

The lighting in my storage unit was dark and the ceiling was open in the corner. But it worked for its purpose the four months I was there. The staff was always incredibly helpful and friendly to me.

I'm very disappointed. I have two pieces of furniture that are damaged due to moisture or water. I'm not sure how this happened when the temperature is controlled.

I moved out on The last day before payment was due. You still took payment. Considering I was there for over 18 months and paid almost every month on time or early I'm annoyed I was charged again....
