CRAIG WWhen you win a storage auction we're also doing you guys a favor by clearing out the units, but we should have gate access as all other customers. It is hard to be there only when office is open to pick up units, we are under guidelines to remove contents in a time frame but doesn't allow the time clock to pause while office is closed?

Richard AI would like to highly recommend the Lake Square U-haul location in Leesburg. Located conveniently on US-441. I have been frequenting this location for moving supplies and rental trucks for the last few months. The staff have been amazing and so helpful. If you are in need stop by and chat with the staff they will help you out. This location has everything you need to get your move done. There are storage units if you need them and they fill propane too.

brian mI was told by three different people that if I returned the truck a day early, the rate would be lower. Of course, after I returned the truck a day early, I was informed that I was misinformed and the rate would stay the same.

DAVID COnly 1 person working the counter. Get there early and be prepared to wait. Also bring your broom, and a trash bag, You'll want to clean out your trailer before you leave. This was probably the ugliest & most beat-up trailer I've ever rented from U-Haul. I was worried it wouldn't make the 1,200-mile trip but it did so that's a big plus.

I think you need to offer a spare tire with rentals .. have me sign a waiver.. sitting around on the side of the road for some one to come with a wheel for two hours is not ideal .. I am fully capable of changing a tire .. I could have changed that tire and been on my way in 15 min not even trying hard .. I always carry a 3 ton rolling Jack and cordless impact gun .. there has to be a better way than the how you do it now .. I'd gladly sign a waiver because I know what I'm doing and not worried about it … I'd gladly do it to save time .. if someone steels your spare charge their card …

I forget the guy with the tattoo on his arm but he rocks and looks like he was a former boy band rock star. Will rent from this location again. Stay hydrated bros!

PIERCE MI in the past I've had rented a U-Haul truck this time. All I needed was a U-Haul van and let me tell you it was such a great vehicle big enough what I needed clean and ran like a charm. Administration.

Both tire on the passenger side blew 2 mins onto I75 and caught on fire. I say the hydraulics, because the fire seem to fueled by something and was hard to put out. Once we received a second trailer, it too was clean and ran well to Gainesville.

PHILIP MGet the local site to answer the phone so that we don't have to talk to a call center. Even though they can handle a reservation, they could not answer specific questions relating to the local site.

Along with being courteous, conscientious and professional they went above and beyond to make sure I had the right equipment including changing out the hitch ball to the correct size.

ELENA NI attempted to reserve this 5x8 box trailer using the uhaul app. This never showed my location of choice as even existing on any of the maps that showed up. I drove to uhaul and made my reservation in person without issue. Need to work on your app. I will still be using uhaul for my trailering needs.

Tried to offer me a larger unit for $35 more month which I did not need with first month free, which I already had from renting the uhaul truck. Said he'd give me the larger unit for the same price. Went to the unit and not only was it an outside one (I reserved a climate controlled) but it also had a lock on it. Had to speak with the manager. He gave me a larger climate county unit but stated I had to call him back as he had to figure out how to give me the price of the unit I originally reserved.

Blair and his staff went above and beyond to assist with any issues we had when we rented a storage unit and a truck. They also were wonderful in communication - we left a transponder in the truck by mistake when we returned it and they called us back almost immediately as soon as it was returned by the next renter to let us know it was located. Also, they were exceptional regarding adjusting a billing issue with the storage unit- we will definitely use this facility again when the need arises. 1 000 000 thank yous Leesburg staff!

For a 10 x 25 unit wad sold already before I got in there on 4/16 to pay for it, between Bryson and 2 other people, they tried everything to find me something, after being there almost 2 hours and several phone calls later we were given the option of 2 10x10's. 108 and 177 which are close together for the same price of the 10x25 We decided on that and was given the first month free and comments on our reservation for 110 per unit per month. We have already booked a Uhaul trailer to be picked up at an Orlando location for the 27th and then we will be moving our boxes and some furniture in. Bryson went above and beyond trying to make things right because I was very disappointed and he turned my disappointment into a better place.

When loaded it is hard to turn as all of the wheels do not roll equally or a few of them are stuck. When I moved in - I let the staff know about the problem. I made several trips back to the unit and also when I moved out the same Cart was still there and not repaired or replaced. One of the staff explained that "Management has known about the problem for some time" Cart 4 Building D. This is an easy fix - just go make it happen.

JULIA H | Expérience généraleBesides having a disagreement with the General Manager, Michael, the policy of not prorating a customer that cleaned out his rental storage unit on the 5th day of the month, Feb 5th Monday, and was told that I could not get a refund (prorated) on the unused days, 25 days, because they don't go that! I asked what's the reason for not prorating? There was no real reason. I asked are you double dipping ( renting the space out after no return on my automated payment for the rest of the month), and no real answer! To me there is no reason that a company (U-haul of Leesburg Florida) of that size and known reputation would even consider that. But I was wrong and going through the process of doing something about it so this doesn't happen to someone else. Really, U-Haul needs to take unused money from their customers! Wow. I will be calling the BBB on this matter along with bringing it up at the city open to the public meeting.

Between pest damage and water damage I would not recommend facility to anyone. When I called to voice my concerns it was treated as if it was important. Being in customer myself I would definitely want her on my staff if she wasn't already taken. I have seen her in action 10 Stars across the board for her always even when a customer was getting rude with her I watched her keep her calm and treat the customer exactly how the customer should be treated do not lose her and give her a raise. Please show your general manager some appreciation I'm able to do it for my staff at my company and I hope you can at yours I will always use U-Haul in the future thank you for a perfect experience for a year and a half. Debra C | Premières impressionsOver loaded yard makes driving through a nightmare. Also when turning in the equipment it was in the middle of a hurricane. Not bad weather but a legit hurricane. The manager said ( that's to bad .. if it's not here you get charged an extra day .. if we have days away because of rain we would go out of business ) so I said nothing and walked out. However I contacted my attorney to let them know I plan to fund an inquiry to find out how many people had their safety put at risk because of Uhaul and this policy. Hopefully at the very least the manager of this location loses her job and the corporate office changes this policy. I can afford the extra day but some people cannot and should not be threatened to put their safety at risk because of it.

Had to delay my trip back to Jacksonville for a day to get this sorted out. I ended up with an outside unit since inside was now full. And i was not told of the access cut off time so was locked in past midnight. Had to call customer service and they were able to open gate.

The way the containers were placed made access/egress to my unit very difficult. The portable containers had to be moved in order to exit the facility. They were cramming 10 pounds of crap into a 5 pound bag. Management was no help. Find another storage facility, this one is a mess.

Cost me a day of work to stay in town to take care of getting items in unit a day later. No follow through here... if they tell you something you have to do your own follow up to make sure it happens.

Then they would try to connect me again and we'll go back to corporate I never could get through to the main office in Leesburg , I finally had to go in and talk to them in person which is time I didn't Have . When I went in with a reservation number and everything it still took me over an hour and a 1/2 to get Is my unit . But other than that they were really nice they were clean. If I ever need you guys again I will come back thanks

After your personal belongings are damaged under their circumstances, they still expect you to take them and dispose of them yourself.. and this is for 150 a month outside unit… very poorly ran.

Why is storage not pro rated I should not have to pay for the rest of the month for an empty storage unit I'm no longer using if someone else moves into 137 or 113 before the end of the month that's basically double dipping. I would like to have my bill prorated for the half of the month I'm not using my storage units.

I put extra miles on the U-Haul truck and then when I got to Ocala he sent me back to Leesburg. At this time the manager changed her attitude and helped me. I am at this point wasting money putting the trailer stuff in a storage building when I could had left it in the trailer and would had cost me less money. I am so upset over this whole ordeal.

ERIC J | Premières impressionsWhen I went to move into my storage unit there was a younger gentleman and an older gentleman That had just pulled up to the same building my storage unit is in. SpaceThey had bolt cutters with them and they were watching me as I was moving into my storage unit. The young man went into a storage unit ( I'm assuming it was his) and then proceeded to change into new clothing right there in the hall of all the storage units. The employee that was with me said nothing to them and it was a little bit uncomfortable. I'm not comfortable that somebody was allowed to go into the storage units with a bolt cutter knowing that they could've cut anybody's lock and there's no cameras inside of the building. Other than that incident everything went smoothly and the staff was pleasant to me.

It was often hard to get at the keypads. I had a lot of insects in my non-climate controlled unit. I felt the need to fumigate everything when I brought my boxes home.

Cried for 30 mins because I was lost. Spoke to a rep that was nonchalant and put me on another 20 min hold in the middle of nowhere. Minding you I've been already driving for 7 hours. I was ready to get to storage and get to my home after only to find out the address listed was 1 hour and 6 mins away from my actually destination. Ran out of gas in the middle of nowhere. My husband had to leave me and my children to get gas because we couldn't tell anyone where we were. SO I NEVER MADE IT TO A UNIT I PAID FOR. Drove an extra 1hr on the uhaul truck that I know their going to make me pay for. Which is completely unfair. I was given 131 in miles and was only driving 88 miles. Now idk how many miles is on there because of their address was messed up. Complete ripe off. $278 for uhaul and $127 for a storage I can't find nor use.

The only frustration I had was not being able to get through to the store even though I called the number to that store. After several attempts & having to call other stores & finally being able to be taken care of through the system but not through that store was my need taken care of. I live a couple hours away so when I need to reach them it's frustrating not to be able to get through on the phone. In the end it took another trip in there after getting my stuff out to close the unit w/ in the 10 day prior requirement, because I wasn't able to get through on the phone. The staff was nice & helpful & the unit was clean, dry & well lit & I used a Climate control unit which seemed to have no problems with that. Over all I was happy.

But then you run into the ones that just really want to ruin your day. Like going in in finding out the handle has been broken off the door going into your storage unit and being told we have to wait until the manager comes back off a vacation to have it fixed. In 2 weeks later it's still not fixed. Or walking into the climate control building and it's smelling of cat pee P. And being told it's not my fault I didn't put the cat in there! But my all time favourite thing of all was when the guy in the next unit that it was great to poor stuff over the wall into our unit. We pay good money to have our belongings kept safe & available not to be abused.

Tytianna B | Premières impressionsWith the exception of being locked inside the fence overnight with both of our dogs and our then 9-year-old daughter after we paid the upgrade fee to allow for 24 hour access, our experience during the term of our agreement went relatively smoothly. That was until March 1st of 2020 when we moved our belongings out of our storage unit and notified staff that we no longer required use of the facilities. At that time we were paid through the end of February of 2020. The on-site manager even let us borrow a screwdriver and a broom to sweep out the unit before we left. So there is no question that we notified staff we were ending our rental term with Uhaul at that time. Uhaul has consistently continued to charge me monthly rent and just this month completed the process of "selling" our belongings within the unit (it was empty) to apply toward our balance despite several emails informing them that the unit had been empty since 03/01/2020. According to their records I now owe them over $2000 for a years plus worth of monthly storage fees for a unit I did not use in that time frame. So, I would say my overall experience with renting a storage unit from Uhaul of Lady Lake went about as poorly as could be imagined. I fully expect I will need a lawyer to clear up the mess they have created.

Alexandrea here at the Leesburg facility was very friendly, helpful and professional in every aspect. For example, she used the forklift to move our two X-Boxes closer to the storage units door to save us time and steps with the unloading. I have given many recommendations already for using the U-Haul methods in moving. Merci.
