Can was out of gas in 39 miles. Was told it had 1/3 tank. That was not accurate worst rental experience I've ever had with this company. Very disappointed to have been stranded due to the incident

PETER WCheck out of my equipment went very smoothly, and I was thoroughly impressed! I like to use this location due to its convenience and number of people usually on staff to assist where needed. However, when I returned the equipment the following day, I was absolutely blown away by the complete disregard for not only the amount of time I waited outside, but when I drove the equipment around back, the person who helped me clearly should not have been doing so. When I pulled into the lot with my trailer return, there were two employees present in the lot (sort of). One person, who clearly just got done hooking up a trailer for someone else, continued to walk past and around the Propene area (where no customers were at the time), after briefly looking up my direction, and then kept walking. He didn't yell to me that someone would be with me soon, or ask me if I'd been helped, etc. The second person came out of the store, walked around some pallets that were being brought into the store by someone else, looked up at me, looked back down at their phone, and then promptly walked back inside. I waited just another minute before I went inside to get someone, and that same person I just mentioned was sitting on a pallet of boxes, swinging her feet like she was on break, with their head buried in their phone, again, not acknowledging me. Another employee, Brian D., asked how he could help me, and I said I was returning a trailer and told me to drive around back, while grunting about it. When I got back there to unload the trailer, he was griping about something, and then took it off my ball mount and dropped it. He began complaining about how nobody wants to do anything or help around there, and that he shouldn't have to do this, because he shouldn't be anyway due to an injury/surgery (I can't remember which). Brian was clearly in pain, and should not have been doing what he just did. The two other employees in the store, both who did not acknowledge me out on the lot in the return lane, were sitting in the store, one of whom was doing nothing, and the other appeared to be on the computer (he may have been a Manager based upon his shirt color). Brian, though he was clearly angry that he was having to do that work, did NOT take anything out on me, and clearly needed additional help. The other two employees I was absolutely disgusted by. Please look at cameras or something from my return time to see what your employees were doing, because this is not the way that U-Haul should be run. Merci.

TUAN MThe facility is filthy! I love it when you walk into the store area and one of the workers is shoving food in her mouth. She said they were having a safety meeting. I also love that I paid my May payment and we departed on May 2nd and no refund was offered. I rented a truck 38 mile range truck worth of gas and it was short 8 miles when I returned is and they tried to charge $95 so immoved the money off the card. Wow and ghetto!

LYNN SSecurity is a joke, sure there's alarms in each unit, but the units are built very cheaply with just chicken wire for a ceiling. You can look into the adjacent units if you want and could easily climb over into any unit there. The manager is punk and his sidekick is as unfriendly as he could be and makes too many comments. Overall I'd say Uhaul doesn't care about their what's best for customers or if things go smoothly and I have never once had a good experience with the company. It's really the only moving truck rental company around so they don't have to care if the customer gets screw you. I spent probably $3000 recently with uhaul and was treated very poorly. Altogether over spent probably $5-6000 total in the last 10 years with uhaul but I'll never give this company another dollar of mine again.

KADY MThe Staff/Location are great easy to get to and they are very helpful at explaining it all. I would say if you need to book a U-haul go in and see them and dont use the app or website as its not as clear as to what exactly you will be charged. I about had a heart attack when the vehicle I booked went from the 50 the app (Pre-mileage of course) told me to 150 when I picked it up due to how they pre charge you some mileage based off the time you pick up to plan on dropping off as it was explained to me very kindly might I add, but since I would have unit for 24 hours they pre charged me for 100 miles at pick up however I would luckily not be going too far with it and only ended up paying 75 after returning which is about what I expected.

It did the job but was hard to drive smoothly compared to the exact 15 foot one that I rented few days before from iron horse hay and feed location in Maple Valley WA which is a U-Haul location as well.

There was no parking for customers to leave their cars but staff were casual in handling this by simply stating they did not have parking which is a precondition for hiring a truck. There is a better way to address this by apologizing or giving options to source from another location or making temporary measures but not sending someone away without caring.

After return truck they did not check me out and made me partly 2 extra days and charge my card also they call me and threatened with police because they claim I did not return the truck , on March 17 when I rented another truck they did not put fixed if blankets but also charged me hundreds dollars for it , I have no time to spend to calll and file multiple disputes this is not what I wanted to experience for such high pay end trucks rental

In all honesty this place has the best service, showroom, and fleet of trucks, trailers, and etc. that inhave seen in the state and any other Uhaul locations that inhave been to. Great Job Team...this is how all locations should be!

BRET KGot charged an extra day for being 2 hours late, wouldn't have been had the storage unit not had a support beam going straight through the middle. They offered to move us after the fact, but they know people aren't going to move all their stuff out into a new unit. Won't rent from UHaul again. Will be posting this on Google as well. As soon as I can I will be out of that storage unit. The older gentleman behind the front desk and the young lady that looked like she was running laps were great. Other than that... nothing really great about the staff

They are all very friendly, and the managers (Amber, Larry) are very flexible and accommodating when it comes to truck/van return times and storage space renewal dates. REUBEN MThey never put the dolly in, the back of the truck didn't have the seals on the items dolly was just thrown around, the gas was on e when I got it. There was trash in the vehicle I cleaned out. The return q r code didn't work. They had 4 ppl working and none of this was completed. I got the job done but I had to come back and get the dolly go to the gas station twice lost 2 hrs from doing this.
SUGANAH MNothing that I can suggest! The time it took to check in, get instructions for driving the truck and payment for renting the truck was efficient and friendly. Only one surprise was when we started loading we expected there would be a ramp to attach to the back of the truck so heavy items could be moved easily into the truck from a hand cart.

As someone who had been in customer service for 20 years I believe communication is key. I reached out to U-Haul several times and my issue was never resolved.

The storage next to ours leaked oil/gas under the wall & ruined so many items including some sentimental items that can't be replaced but our insurance didn't cover anything not my bed that was covered or any of my grandkids baby items or anything else, so I don't know why we have to pay for insurance....I would at least like my insurance payments back since it was money spent for no reason!

I was excited because my help in unloading my truck lived in Olympia. So I told them to head up about 6pm thinking we would be done by 8 or 9 pm. I get to the store and start doing paperwork and checking in my transport. This was about 615. Then about 630 I'm done and the lady told me the acres was till 7 pm. Well I hurried and called my friends but they were already right down the road. So I had to leave my loaded truck at uhaul because I have no more money for gas and didn't want to drive it back to my house 15 miles away. My entire hour I could have unloaded was wasted by paperwork that I couldn't do online and the fact that we couldn't get my car off the transport. The girl at uhaul had to help and direct us. And it took 20-30 min. Which left me no time to unload Today I get to try and unload it with my disabled self and my very disabled 67 yr old mother. I don't think I have help. Because they came all the way up last night to help. Originally I was supposed to be able to return my equipment to this facility. Now I'm being told the lot is too full. Idk how I can move the truck off the facility to another place as it has no gas in it. This move took every penny I had. I am going to be driving on fumes in my own vehicle just to get down there today. I don't know that I will ever use uhaul to move again. I paid a lot of money upfront and has issues at the pick up with the truck being locked and me having to go back and forth to the store to get it unlocked. I mean that used mileage and gas. He only way this will be resolved for me is if uhaul waives any daily fees for truck and transport. And if uhaul puts gas in the truck for me to take somewhere else or keeps the truck at the north auburn location and doesn't charge me for gas

I work 9am to 8 pm most day and there were times I needed to get access to my unit and could not. Access hours used to be longer on the week days and on weekends. I think they need to be later because most of us work and need the later times

When I arrived, Uhaul loaded and help with me, I was told that my unit was given to someone else that morning. This was because someone did not read the notes. I will given two separate units to equal the same space. This was more then inconvenient. Just a heads up, ready the notes.

The survey's fault, NOT the facility's fault. VERY POORLY DESIGNED SURVEY!! Overall experience was good. Staff was helpful. We were there for over 7 years. The one bad thing we found when we went to move out was the skylight over our unit evidently leaked at some point and damaged a few boxes and contents. We were never called or notified when it occurred. Then repairs were made as there was a lot of sawdust on top of our boxes. That was our one issue and after having that happen, I would probably never use a storage unit with an open ceiling again. The other complaint I have is these survey texts. They came every hour. Incredibly annoying. Yes, you got me to respond sooner because I wanted them to stop, but I don't think that's the best was to leave a good impression.

Sergey V | Expérience généraleThe move in process was confusing. When I first arrived I was told in my instructions to go straight to my unit. When I arrived and opened it, a loud alarm went off. The intercom to me to head to the office for a key card. Is this normal for everyone to go threw?? It should be clear. When I was moving all my stuff into the unit, there was glass and some sort of brown plastic everywhere in the unit and red ooze coming out of the rat box. I was terrified to touch it. I emailed about it and never got a response. I even went into the office once about it but there was no one up there for almost 20 minutes so I left. The reason I gave an average rating is because this was the cheapest place in a warm environment that I could keep all my belongings while I was homeless. The move out process didn't work on my phone so I headed to the front and waited another 20 minutes before I could get any help again. Will I do it again? Maybe. But improvements need to be made.

They have bribed employees from various companies to Aid & Abet, as to steal evidence I hold. U-Haul was no different, who had employees participate in the same bad business practices of my Defrauders. I do not hold the Company to any liability this caused, as it's the lack of integrity held by their employees. I suggest using your own heavy duty locks and not the one supplied, as there's always a way to get a duplicate key.

The management and crew were beyond helpful, capable,and knowledgeable. We could not have proceeded through the stages of our large move without their knowing and watchful eyes. My partner and I were recognized by every staff member, and our move was fully tracked by management and staff throughout the entire process. I would not have had the trust to commit to the U-Box service without knowing that the management team would be on top of scheduling the boxes for packing, moving, and transport out of state. Their recent changes in storage area hours and rental policies effectively mitigated the impact of non-storage activities. I applaud the management team for their willingness to adapt the storage rental and facility policies to protect the safety of UHaul customers. Beyond the policies, they also carefully and consistently watch the security camera feeds, and maintain a strong presence with frequent walk throughs. Melvin M | Expérience généraleMy stories got broken into and I did the whole process that they provide you and at the end didn't help me with anything even with the insurance company couldn't do anything because I didn't have enough proof or receipts for my items I have stored away and and then expected me to pay rent for the following month so I decided not to pay them at all because I didn't feel that the next stuff I would to bring in would not be secure and so that they won't take no action for so I wouldn't recommend U-Haul at all to secure my stuff in storage since my unit was on the second floor with needing to have a U-Haul card to access building and elevators so how do you lose some big wheels that are Chrome and shiny with new tires and bunch of stuff and boxes leave the building without being noticed

Gregory O | Premières impressionsI had to move out after 7pm and the main doors to the storage were closed at that time, which is out of business hours for U-Haul, but not for their customers. Here is the situation: using the lateral door is a pain on the neck because you have to make sure the load was perfectly fitted to cart's size, otherwise you need to find ways to make it fit. Also, the lateral door should be only used for emergency as opposite to operational door. It is very difficult to get out specially when you have to move multiple carts at the same time. Also, there was a time when a lady tried to use their card and we were 'stuck' outside the warehouse for 20 minutes... yes, it is a security mechanism for U-Haul and very insensitive for customers waiting outside. I was there at 8pm awaiting for the door to open, while the GM was enjoying time with his children at home !!! U-Haul you could do better at balancing your Pentagon-like mechanism with a more sensible customer focus approach.

She took the form I filled in and botched all our names and contacts. Not sure whether she has a problem reading or just didn't like having us there. I put my lock on the latch after closing the door but forgot to slide the latch to the closed position. When I used my card to check out, it indicated my door was opened. I went back and it looked okY but after further inspection to lock was in place but the holes didn't line up so the door could still be opened even with the lock on tbd latch. Thankful for the state of the art monitoring system. The place is very clean and very well kept. I would use this place again in a heart beat.

The only issue I ran into was accessing the storage unit later in the evening, since we finished packing all of our stuff and loading it onto the UHAUL truck in one day it took a long time to finish, I had to return the truck by midnight and was under the impression that the storage would be open later in the evening, not necessarily midnight but 10PM seems reasonable (realistically I should have checked but I assumed). But unfortunately it closed at 8PM which is really early and so instead of being able to return the truck in time, I had to wait until the storage unit was open in the morning to load all of our stuff into the unit and return the truck. Other than that, I absolutely love this storage unit and the service.

Thankful fo the system in place because other places don't have that feature.

The price I ended up paying when I received the unit was $5 more than what my reservation stated. Nobody there had a definitive answer as to why. But, when you need a unit, and pretty much the whole center and town are booked up, you can't complain too much.

Then they transferred me to some one who could help say in phone for another 45 mins. Person answered hello and click got disconnected. Called back and waiting again. Couldn't get a access code after we made reservations for a unit. And the lady that helped us talked so much about everything. Her husband finger got cut off. She went in and on about that. There were 8 to 9 people waiting. Some walked out. And out truck rental. A/C didn't work. Oh and a lot of problems. I don't complain ever. But worse experience ever.

CHRIS N | Premières impressionsI had an outstanding experience using this local storage service. I'm very happy with the unit we had and how secure, accessible, and pleasant it was. My interactions with the staff here were wonderful, and I think this manager is doing an excellent job. My only complaints are at the corporate level. My first is communication accessibility. The customer service experience by phone is at best frustrating and at worst a complete failure. There really needs to be a local number for clients to use to ask questions, report issues, etc. My second issue is with the current trailer/truck shortage. It is is ridiculous to allow people to make reservations for trucks/trailers when you know you will not have them available. I would not have been notified until 3 days prior to our move that we would not have a trailer, and then would have been forced to use pods. Thankfully, I heard of this shortage early and was able to buy one of the handful of remaining trailers in our area, but it sickens me to think of the many people who didn't get this heads-up and were forced to pay much more for pods at the last minute. That feels so shady. Either do what you need to do to get trailers and trucks back to the locations that need them (hire drivers/shipping?) OR offer customers a price match for the available services. Without proper notice, it's unreasonable to treat customers with such disregard. It would be wonderful for Uhaul to care enough about their reputation for customer service that they took care of their customers in this way. The other thing (which I think is really beyond your control) is the size of parking lot/difficulty of space to maneuver. This is something I know you're aware of. As it is, I would use this location again and again for the staff experience and facility experience I had. I will not be looking at U-Haul on the other end of our move, because I don't want to deal with the corporate practices of your company again.

I also asked The Manager and The other UHaul Representative if I had to 24hr access again before signing payment receipt. I feel I should be give another month free,as I paid for asked and was told that I had 24hr access, otherwise I'll go to another location,a better price and a refund.

Sakyrine N | Expérience généraleI would have given a 5 star review except for the fact that staff told me they have no lock removal help when I lost both sets of keys from the padlock I bought there, the day before I terminated my agreement with them, again I asked if they had staff that could help remove the padlock, staff said said yes, but for a $50 fee, I rented for 6 mos. , I ended up buying a lock picking set off amazon and was able to pick that piece of crap lock in two minutes, anyway, nice facility, but staff should help reach out to people who have issues such as this.

Not only did they never pay any attention but I flew over there and signed a piece of paper to close everything and donate my items. I called so many times to clear it up until I could no longer deal with their stupidity. How the heck this place is still running with the same management, I do not know. Incompetence is putting it nicely.

When I arrived they had no record or could not give me the unit I booked.... which was the only reason I booked this particular location. Staff seemed frustrated at this, like somehow it's my problem they couldn't give me what I booked. Then, with a 26' truck, fully loaded they gave my a storage until on the other side of the property on the second floor... So, no, I would not recommend this facility.
