Manager at Mesa Location went above and beyond located me equipment needed was a bit late on return but uhaul helped me with no adding crazy extra fees and a buffer time to accommodate my changing schedule both locations always amazing service.

Although this location has more trucks they lack additional equipment and the employees working there were not helpful in finding a solution. We were just told that we couldn't have what we had reserved. That also includes the need for more time on the truck rental. The employee's attitude was unpleasant and not welcoming. Next time I'd rather go further or to another location so that I can get better help.

This poor rating has absolutely nothing to do with this location or the people that work there. The people were great. Here's the problem: I reserved 2 26 ft trucks on Apr 27th to be picked up on May 9th. On May 8th I got a call from U-Haul about picking them up on the other side of town. This was a slight inconvenience considering I had reserved the uhauls from a large facility 1 mile from our house but not the end of the world. I show up on the 9th and they only have 1 26 ft trucks available for me. They were still working on tracking down the other one. Very frustrating but I didn't have movers scheduled to come until the next day so not the end of the world. After a while they call and say they won't have another 26 ft truck until Monday the 12th. Wasn't going to work for me. The only thing they had was a 20 ft truck so I took it. We could have used the extra 6ft. Ended up having to give away my grill, pressure washer, my kids go kart, and a handful of other things. We hit the road and at the first gas station we stop at I walk around both trucks and realize there's a pool of oil on one of the tire rims. Enough T that it had pooled in the rim and was overflowing onto the pavement. I Call U-Haul and since there wasn't any warning lights and it was driving fine they said to keep driving. Next stop same thing, but now the abs light is on. I call U-Haul again and we were about 1 hr from our hotel stop so they tell me they will dispatch a mechanic to look at it in the middle of the night while we're sleeping. No one ever calls, no one ever comes. The next morning I have to call again to see if someone is coming. They give me a phone number for the guy that's supposed to be coming. I call him and he's an hour and a half away, still at his house. I ask a couple questions and realize he's just a tow truck driver. So U-Haul dispatched a tow truck driver before a mechanic and he was going to tow our U-Haul 1,5 hrs away. I explain our situation and he has some compassion and says he knows a mechanic in the area. The mechanic comes and looks at it and right away diagnoses the problem as leaking axle seal. He says it's a 30 minute job that can be fixed without moving the truck. At the same time U-Haul calls back and says they're gonna have all our stuff moved to a different truck (if they can find one in the area) so they can tow it. Then the mechanic that's onsite notices that 3-4 of the lug nuts were loose and that's why it was leaking. The mechanic ends up tightening those lug nuts and does an inspection on everything else, determines everything is luckily fine and he refills the axle oil. We make it the rest of the way without any leaks or problems. Here's what would have made my experience better: 1) I reserved the trucks 2 minutes down the road for my convenience. There's gotta be a way to know whether or not you'll have them there for me sooner than the day before. 2) let me know 3-5 days in advance if I'm going to have to go to multiple locations for my 2 reserved trucks 3) I was sold a lock, specifically for the truck that didn't fit the truck. I found out after loading everything that it only fits the storage units 4) not sure why there were loose lugs on that axle. That put me, my family, and others in danger without knowing. By the grace of God everything was fine and we were able to keep going instead of being stuck in a small town for multiple days 5) more follow through on getting us help would have been nice. I had to really push to initiate action to get someone to come out and look at the truck. And sending a tow truck before a mechanic is insanity. Had I known a few days in advance that the trucks I needed weren't available I could have had enough time to look at other options like Penske. Instead I was pinned down to the wire and had to accept what was available. I learned a lot from this move and was super disappointed with U-haul overall. My face to face interaction at all facilities was great but the decision makers that were all offsite trying to coordinate trucks and makes decisions didn't have my best interest in mind. I'll have to try my luck with a different company next time. 3)

I was really impressed with the U-Haul teams two locations and road side assistance. I got a flat I thought I was gonna be there all day and miss out on a motorcycle I was heading out to buy. Road side got there quick fast and a hurry found out it busted a Lee spring. He made some calls coordinated a new for me around the area,he took the trailer back and the new place had me in and out. Good customer service is hard to find now a days, thank you very much!!

The employees did their job correctly. My complaint is on U-Haul marketing and procedures. The $20 lure was really troublesome from a budgeting standpoint. I was thinking all day how I was able to mix the truck rental into a short trip to pick up things I needed. It cost $85 for a short trip. It just really felt I need to look at your advertisements as just marketing tactics with no real practicality. Plus they still charged me for gas because it was sent out with me at half a tank. I matched the tank level... but who can actually tell because it wasn't a filled up. They should of just given it to me topped off so I know how much to fill it.

1. I was confirmed at 1 location (5 miles from home), then reconfirmed at another (19 miles from home; 2. gas tank at 1/4 tank (had to stop for gas at edge of town). 3.Dyer location didn't have flat dolly and failed to mention they had one for sale until I saw it and asked. 4.I paid additional $20 to have my car loaded on tow dolly, yet it was done incorrectly. By the time I got to my house it had lurched forward with front tires over the lip of dolly. Apparently the straps over tires were not used properly. Bumper and tires were damaged when we finally got it back in correct position. 5.While moving car into position, the chain snapped. Called roadside assistance asking for repair by a person who could properly install it to tow dolly. That person came, fixed chain then 6.told me he didn't know how to load car on dolly. He then gave me some pointers and left. All that was before 10 am on moving day. Suggestions: 1.do all you can to have all items available and with the truck at pickup time (less waiting); 2.anticipate questions renter might have; 3.when putting car on dolly, do it PROPERLY 4. (if you must charge for putting car on dolly disclose this in advance): 5. offer info on how car should be towed (gear, brake, etc); 6. Assume renter doesn't do this everyday. Simplify process by having things ready, performing additional services the right way. If help is needed, send out appropriate resource to fully resolve the issue.

They didn't have powerful enough forklifts to put 2 of our 4 Uboxes on to trailers. All other Uhaul locations from local origin, hub origin, and hub destination had appropriate forklifts and easily put the Uboxes on trailers for transport. So anyhow, the movers had to go to the pick up location, unload our belongings from the Uboxes, reload our belongings onto a truck, then bring the truck to our house and unload again. Then, after all 4 Uboxes were emptied and left at the location, they only cleared one of them off the active rentals. When calling the location, they never answered, it got forwarded to corporate. Finally, after several calls and 3 days, they removed the other three as active rentals. Corporate was very helpful in that regard.

My only issue was access to the building for storage. It was partly a known system update and partly due to an unknown system error that denied me access almost every time I came in. Manager was helpful but had to unlock it every time. Meaning I did not have after hour access most of the time which was very inconvenient. Otherwise lovely staff.

The only suggestion I'd have is, if a customer pre-orders and requires additional equipment, then it should be readily available. If the added equipment is not available at the specified location, then efforts should be made to have that equipment delivered or available for pickup before the customer arrives. In our experience , a piece of added equipment was not available at the location and we were asked if we still wanted it. We needed it, so they asked if we wanted them to call other locations to see if they had it. We said yes. After a couple of calls they were able to locate the equipment , but we still had to take the extra time to drive and pick it up. Otherwise, our experience was great.

My disk lock was not in my unit and since I started loading the dust after hours I had to purchase one. I called a number and the solution provided was to buy one since the business was closed. I found one minutes before the local store that had some closed, was very cheap but better than nothing. Later that night, maybe five hours later, I go to my unit to organize and upon pulling up I see my lock is gone. I assumed "I just got robbed" and expected to open my unit and see everything gone. To my amazement, there was a homeless man inside of my unit in the pitch of dark rummaging through my things. Long story short, I thought I was going to die tonight. I must my first 24 hour experience was much more than I signed up for. I have to commend Mr. James, for out of nowhere, appearing and providing me with assistance. I really am very grateful to that man. Please, recognize him because he made me feel safe and no longer in fear for my life.

If the allowed partial payments people could catch up before getting too far into the hole. At least half as partial would be very helpful. Also the manager Bianca is nice but Deeana can be mean and insensitive. I finally got out and moved on.

I did not move out of a unit on 10/10/2024! I initially requested a unit to fit approximately a 2 bedroom apartment and was told a 5x5 unit would be what I needed. It was way to small. I requested a larger unit and was given a larger unit. When I reviewed the Uhaul app after moving into mult unit#108 I was being charged for two units instead of just the one I actually moved into. I was also being charged an additional $120 in "rental fees" when returning my truck rental which no one at the store could explain what the additional charges were for. I spoke to the representative that helped me and explained what I was seeing on 9/21/24 when I moved in and it is now 10/11/24 and I'm still trying to resolve this issue. I rent a uhaul truck almost every month and don't expect these types of issues from such an established company.

Upon closing out my storage I was given the WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE I've experienced in a very long time. Upon my complaint of how I wasn't being taken care of, they retaliated with attitude. Will not be using the facility ever again and will recommend that to others as well. I told the workers the same upon my departure.

Having to share one access point with other customers during times of increased traffic was frustrating. Only 2 carts and one mattress cart repurposed to move things was frustrating. Solution: Create multiple access points with equal security alllowing for more carts and easier access to a customer's storage unit.

I asked for a broom to sweep my unit and they said they didn’t have one though they had like 3 outside, they wouldn’t allowed me to cut my lock because I lost my keys (I just got back from a 1 year deployment) made me call a locksmith even though I had bolt cutters and the locksmith just cut the lock, very bad experience and customer service, definitely won’t come back to this location or any U-Haul for that matter.

I've been renting a storage from 8833 Dyer st location for about 4 yrs and not once have I found myself in a situation we're I felt there could have been room for improvement. This was a nightmare! First uhaul changed my reservation on the truck gave me a bigger one which cost 400 more dollars, and cost me more in gas. Then when I get to el paso to turn things in my storage unit was canceled and now I'm charged for it and now have to have permission to get into my unit to access my own property in total uhaul cost me 1000 more dollars for my move stress and inconvenience. I will never use uhaul ever again, and will not be recommending it

The website and the app is very easy to maneuver around. Reserving a truck and or storage is very simple to do. The staff is excellent and knowledgeable about the products and very helpful with any questions that you may have. I will be using U-Haul again and recommending them two friends and family. Found a rat poison trap in the storage unit when I opened it. I get there needs to be pest control, but the box said "do not touch" so I had to move it to the hall with my foot. I hope no rats get my stuff. Access control panel also seems confusing in its messaging on the screen. I also don't like needing the card cuz it makes it difficult for movers or other contractors to access my stuff in my behalf.

I would have put one star but the one of the staff was at least trying to help. I had all my things in storage while on rotation to korea. When I got back, I needed it for 5 more weeks. I paid two months at $160! It was only 5 weeks. If I only need the storage unit for 7 days, I should be prorated what I'm not using instead of paying a whole month for one week. Will not be using uhaul for storage ever again.

Big, big problem was the keycard system did not work. I had to go into the office everytime I needed to get into my storage instead of using a more conveniently place remote station. It made it extra annoying when they sent an email stating they were going to raise the monthly rate.

This facility was very run down. The staff was always very rude and unhelpful. In order to get the secondary key I always had to give my ID to the desk to hold. The facility was only available during business hours. The facility was not very secure. I also had the unfortunate situation of having human vomit on my unit that the staff refused to clean up. It's also way over priced.

The Uhaul Dyer location in El Paso had an available spot for me to store my belongings in a hurry. I was able to book same day storage and the front desk crew was very helpful in explaining the agreement, showing me on a map where my unit was located, and offered advice on the proper way to secure my storage unit. Highly recommend for anyone who wants to secure their belongings with peace of mind.

My unit was not properly sealed. As a result everything was covered in dirt. The staff was rude and seemed annoyed with having to do anything. Their were two employees that were pleasant but the manager especially infuriated me as he found it a good idea to play tough guy with me on my concern with my move out. Instead he came in and said do we have a problem! Instead of asking me what my concern was and how he could help me. Then he tried to justify his actions with my 84 year old father who also was not impressed with his way of his way of handling the situation. After this I decided it was not worth arguing with him and told him to stop talking and just close out my account. He then told me he could just just make me leave at which point I told him I would leave when my account was closed. His response was do you have an email to send me the receipt at which point I told him to just print the receipt and he said " you know what I am out of paper so you will just have to give me your email" I told him the go and get some "explitve" paper because I am not leaving here without a receipt! Low and behold the printer magically had paper in it and he printed it and I left. This was by far the worst customer service experience I have ever had and I admit I was not kind to the manager throughout our interaction due to the way he came in and spoke to me and my father but if he would have handled it in a better way I would have left and probably just left it alone. Instead he chose a very poor path and as a result it is ending with not one but two very poor reviews on every possible site we can find to post a review on. And to everyone we know. This is not a reflection on All U-haul facilities as I have had many. But this location is very Poorly run.

My sister and I got a little lost trying to find the unit and the map wouldn't load on my phone, so we ended up going in to get a map. The man we spoke to was a trainee, who took the initiative to get us a map while his trainer was busy. We wished him well at his new job, and went on our way.

I had originally moved into an outside unit during a quick relocation from out of state back in April. I later found out that with the extreme heat of ELP, that my things may get damaged being in the outside unit. I was able to get an inside unit. I worked with the U-Haul team to transfer my lease, and access a nice roomer inside unit. Jonathan and the team were accommodating and made the move/transfer easy. The staff was EXTREMELY helpful and friendly whenever I needed assistance. I've NEVER been disappointed with any of the staff in any location I've gone to (Addison, Dallas or El Paso). Whether renting a storage unit, trailer or buying boxes, I would HIGHLY recommend U-Haul for these and other services. Thank you all very much!!

The card readers were constantly breaking requiring long walks to turn the alarm on and off. The parking area is too congested by U-Haul equipment so that at time one cannot enter or exit the property

The only complaint I have is the truck I got didn't have cruise control. I kind of get why but still it was rough driving 8 hours by myself with my foot on the gas pedal the whole time.
