I was scammed by U-Haul. Told to do one thing BY AN EMPLOYEE and then charged $2 000 more for it!!
CIERA BI rented a truck to move locally. Picking up and dropping off the rental was a quick and efficient. The truck was clean and I had no issues with it. Later that evening I reviewed my emailed receipt and noticed a discrepancy with the bill. I emailed U-Haul a question and figured I'd hear back in a few days. Literally 22 minutes later I received a reply from Chris Knepp, the General Manager of this location. He took care of the issue immediately and made sure I was satisfied. Mind you this was at almost 10pm on a Saturday night. I can't overstate how pleased I was with this level of customer service. I wouldn't expect a reply that quickly during business hours so to have a resolution within 22 minutes on a Saturday evening is exceptional. They've earned my loyalty as a customer.

Mark K | Expérience généraleI was impressed by how big a u-haul the Holbrook location was. It was an actual U-haul center. I have rented trailers a few times from uhaul but never had the tech on site do a walk through with the trailer while dropping it off. The staff both in the morning as well as afternoon were knowledgable and kind. Too bad it is over a half hour drive away, but who knows I may take the extra drive from now on to get quality service at Holbrook again.

RALPH SEverything was great! Easy online check in right through your mobile phone. Step by step of what to do so no accidental charges will arise. So I had patience with taking the photos. Overall great experience.
SIMONES DThe box truck did great. But it was absolutely in need of some maintenance and repairs. Had a vibration at speed. Down on power. Intermittent throttle. I am in the automotive industry so I am very familiar with trucks. This particular truck needed some work. It got the job done safe and sound but it should be looked at. Overall great experience and great staff members.
THOMAS JDustin was very helpful and sweet. I asked him if uhaul has vans for sales and immediately grabbed a sheet of paper and wrote the site i need to visit to get information. Thank you Dustin.

JOHN LOverall, the experience was good. Only complaints is I refuel the U-Haul 3,5 gallons about $10 worth to avoid any surcharges and I still got charged a fuel service fee of $30 and then also charged for 3 gallons. They said I had a quarter tank in there but it was below a quarter tank so I only filled what I used. There should be a better system for this.

PUNEET SVery small but driver and passenger side windows were a little dirty. Overall though, great location, quick in and out, and friendly agent who checked me out.
WILLIAM JI recommend that the U-Haul hitch installer attend an anger management class. He screamed, and slammed doors and was very unprofessional. We are all under stress and don't need to act that way.

They were very patient and kind with me, making an anxious move loads easier. I used the truck for a few hours, and it was clean, ran well, and exactly what I needed. When returning, an employee met me outside and helped me return the truck. I will definitely be using Uhaul of Holbrook for all my moving needs in the future, highly recommended

I wish i could remember there names because the job they did was outstanding, however from. The time I picked up the U-Haul to the time I returned it. Every staff member did an outstanding job. (Excellent.) I give them all a 10+.

HARVEY RIt says $19,95 on the van but does anyone ever pay this? I doubt it. I got charged for too much mileage. How is Holbrook to Glen Head out of area??? Ridiculous. It's a 40 minute drive. The van had a quarter tank and I was told it should have a quarter tank when returned. It did but I was charged a gas surcharge?? How is that possible?
BONNIE ABrakes were a bit spongy. Mentioned it to the attendant, Dustin, and he thanked me for the information and said he would note it and get them repaired.

THIS WORTHLESS LOCATION CHARGED ME FOR 2 GALLONS OF GAS WHEN IT WAS CLEARLY ON FULL WHEN I LEFT IT THIS TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE WILL MAKE ME FINALLY TELL UHAUL GOOD BYE, never will I use such a pathetic service trying to take every dollar they can . If you as a company does not make this right I genuinely hope this whole business goes under. You did not deserve my money

WALTER BMisleading rental practices. Paid for 24 hour use and told to return to a location that only allowed for 30 miles usage before having to pay for per mile fees. Bait and switch. Do not recommend you use this company.

JULES BI think was over priced almost $600 for Less than 300 miles it’s crazy it’s like $2 per mile also the man on the counter wasn’t helpful at all to try to make you choose a better deal and he wasn’t friendly he looked like he was forced to work there,I rented there before and the price was a lot cheaper than this time and the distance was almost the same the lady was there before was amazing

JOSEPH T | Expérience généraleI had an inside unit and I thought the front door system was dangerous because right after you swipe the card if you can’t open the door fast enough you loose entrance and have to swipe again and if you’re carry a box or trying to pull a cart the door slams on you.You also have to hang onto the cart because if u let go it will roll into the parking lot because of the steep ramp that you have to pull it up on.After that you have to deal with a circular lock that I found hard to use and line up the holes in the door And also I didn’t think the unit was clean so no I would not recommend the storage

After two days of driving from south Florida to Long Island i realized I needed two storage units. Renting the truck itself only provided one storage unit but it was not big enough, understanding my dilemma the manager honored a second storage space at no cost. This was extremely appreciated and unexpected. All around this location has amazing service.
