JESSE MU-haul changed the pickup location FOUR TIMES. I was 10 minutes away from picking the trailer up when I discovered they had sent me a text while I was driving to the second pickup location. I had completely rearranged my day because of the first unexpected change. Then they told me they didn't have my trailer there, either, and I would have to drive an hour and a half away, which was far from my storage location. They finally found another trailer after numerous time-consuming calls. I still had to drive over an hour further, then found that location was closed for lunch! Nobody bothered to tell me. I wasted another hour and a half waiting until 2pm and then filling out paperwork. Complete fiasco. Wasted 5 hours of my time and I still had to drive back to my storage unit over an hour away, load the trailer, and drive 5 hours to Portland that night. Got stuck in rush-hour traffic due to all the delays, costing yet another hour. Warning to other renters: DO NOT RELY ON U-HAUL TO HAVE THE EQUIPMENT WHERE THEY SAY IT IS, EVEN IF YOU HAVE CONFIRMED IT WITH THEM. The rep said this happens all the time. It really messed up my day and my plans for the start of a 5-day trip. So disappointed with U-haul and their completely dysfunctional system.

jeffrie aApparently a not so unique experience; in the middle of loading my 15-foot U-haul truck, I realized I had a lot more house than what I could fit into this truck. In the crisis I was having, I called up where I rented our U-haul truck and asked if they had the bigger trucks. All they had was the 26 foot trucks. The U-Haul 800 customer service did a GREAT deal and provided me the larger truck for the same rental fee for the 15 foot. I was extremely thankful to both the customer service and the local storage facility that had the truck and happily accommodated me! The ONLY issue I had was the truck check engine service light came on shortly into my trip, but the truck ran fine.
Zane MVery far out of our way from Everett, which is where we reserved the equipment. First we were told to pick up in Mount Vernon, but upon arrival the location was closed and had no trailer. Having to drive further north to pick up the trailer was extremely frustrating and time consuming.
lori kThese folks are amazing. In January Erica got me into their last 10 by 10 unit and And it was hard to find a nice clean storage near Anacortes. Even upon exiting 4 months later as I found a great place to live Mike got me a U-Haul the same day and it was a great experience I highly recommend Affordable Storage

steve BThe person was very friendly and had my truck ready for when I got there ,but I wanted to drop off my truck on a location near my house, and I was told I had to bring the truck back to the location where I picked up and had to pay mileage and gas, wich beats the whole purpose of uhaul, thank God I did not have to go to Florida.
Luis UThe truck was dirty. I had to go directly to a gas station to wash the windshield before taking it on the highway. The cargo compartment had GREASE on the floor which go on my stuff.
Lyle PA few inconsistencies with pick up and drop off locations and lack of communication between sites. Had to go to three different towns to get size truck I was guaranteed. And drop off was the same.

glenn vI have never rented a more immaculate U-Haul truck. It was clearly well maintained. The e-check-in process was a bit cumbersome, but the end result was perfect. I will never rent anywhere else.
OLIVIER CMake sure Erica isn't sick like she was on Saturday. Pickup of equipment she was masked and dropoff same day before 5pm and she was off work (we think) and unmasked and smoking a cigarette. Anyway, I'm sick today with a low grade fever, sore throat and general cold like symptoms. I'm immune compromised with low immunoglobulin G and relieve monthly Intravenous IgG, so this is not a small matter to my body. When Erica was telling me her illness, because I asked, I then asked why she didn't stay home. She said because of her coworker, he needs time off. I'm mad as he'll she made our family sick! But Mike is awesome and she wanted him to have a weekend off, nice.

Ed FThe uhaul website, and trying to get through on the phone was very frustrating. Once I called the people at the local (affordable storage) office, they were great.
Phil PCustomer service here was in person and so helpful The uhauls links did not work and again customer serviced at the 1800 number was no help and very unprofessional
GREGG JHad lots of trouble using the U-Haul app on my iphone for check in when returning the truck. After 20 minutes of frustration and waited time, I gave up!! Just dropped the keys in the return slot and hoped everything was ok. Plan to never use the app again!!!
