JEFFREY MGAS TANK WAS ONLY 7/8 FULL WHEN I PICKED IT UP. I KNEW THAT THERE WOULD BE AN ISSUE IF I DIDN'T RETURN IT WITH A FULL TANK SO I FIGURE IT PROBABLY COST ME AN EXTRA $12-15.
THOMAS AI returned the truck as instructed. The gate was locked, there were other trucks parked outside the gate taking up all of the space to park so I parked my truck in the lot next to the car lot…it had other U-Haul trailers parked there. I walked around the fence to the office building looking for a key drop box…nothing…so I locked the key in the truck. The guy called me the next day wanting to know where the key was, when I told him what happened he said I was going to be charged extra because he couldn't check in the truck. He also said the key box was by the gate and the other trucks were blocking me from seeing it. He said code enforcement was probably going to have a problem with where I parked it….it was literally in a dirt field with several other U-Haul trailers…they ended up charging me double and also for 3 gallons of gas when I already put gas in it. I have rented several trucks from U-Haul and planned to rent another this weekend to finish the move…but never again from this place. RUDE!! And bad business!! They should leave the gates open so people can return trucks as instructed…its a car lot…and there was plenty of room inside the locked gates to park a U-Haul truck if they had not locked it. So I got charged for their poor business practices. I should have left the truck in the road!!
DAWN HWe were treated very well and our trailer was ready to go when we arrived. The neighborhood is kind of sketchy and the building was a little difficult to find, but we managed. Would be helpful if the street address number was more visible from the road.
