The parking lot of the rentals was messy. One truck was parked blocking the entrance with little space to park in my rental having to maneuver around through the back of the lot. Removing my car was a mess too. Not the locations fault but it could be clear where to park and where not.

it was not well suited for self drop off. It had dozens of U-Haul vehicles scattered in a very uneven ditch and a lot sticking every which way. It was hard to find a place to park.

A Cargo Van was just the ticket. Didn't need the large van, but it definitely got the job done and at a reasonable price.

The truck was in good condition. Unfortunately, we had to go to another location for boxes and type.

Have the correct location of where to find the truck. The lady wanted to argue with me that I should have just accepted I found my truck to get the key code. It then had the location in the key box. Had to wait over 30 minutes for the place to open to get help due to the wrong directions

Online reservations don't matter! Trucks are over booked and staff is complacent at best. Glad I got it done but Way more trouble than it should've been.

When I got the key, I was told the truck will be in another lcoation about 5 mins drive from the office. When we went there the truck wasn't in the lot. After spending time looking for the truck, we went back to the Uhaul office but they had closed. Luckily for us we found another lot close to the office, which I then decided to give it a try to see if the truck was there. Lo and behold there it was. I showed the lady at the front desk the mileage when I took the truck which was what she told me to do. When the receipt came out, Uhaul used another mileage reading causing me to be charged $15 extra. The Lady told me there was nothing she could do but I would have to call Uhaul directly to fix it. I was a terrible experience overall.

I was told it would be one price but got charged a totally different price!! I just wish I had been a lil more knowledgeable about renting uhaul's!! 🤷

The lady who checked me out was very nice and friendly however the other lady that I am assuming was the boss or over the one helping me was quite sarcastic and kind of rude. Stating she didn't have any of the trucks of the size that I had reserved online available and that "I could reserve an airplane but doesn't mean she had one available" I ended up being able to get the truck I reserved and was sent on my way however that comment made me very sure about never using that location again. I understand if there are scheduling conflicts however that statement was unnecessary. Especially since when I went to the lot to pick up the truck there were at least 3 others that were still there when I returned the truck I had rented. But like I said the lady who took care of me was very polite and even told the lady that I was on the schedule for them. At the end of the day I was able to rent the truck I reserved and get what I needed done but I still do not think I will go back to that location or recommend it honestly. The truck was very well taken care of it was just the customer service of that one lady, not even the one that was helping me. I had even called ahead before coming there and they said yes I could so I was shocked when it began to sound like it wasn't going to happen.

Horrible does not accurately describe the drop place. 1. They did not check me in. I wanted it verified that the trailer and pads were returned in excellent condition. Apparently they weren't feeling like working that day. They just said it was OK. 2. They did not help with the trailer at all: They could not tell me where to park it in their hell-hole of a lot and they could not help me back the trailer out of the penned in place I had to park to be off the street. MOST IMPORTANTLY: I got into a shouting match with some person outside the office. He got very aggressive with me after I requested a car be moved so I could get my car with trailer back to the street. I asked the man running the office to call the police, which he didn't do. U-Haul would be wise to terminate the contract/franchise of this location. I have never had a worse retail experience. Before I rent from U-Haul again, I will go on-line and see if 55 Merrimac Road, Christiansburg VA is still a U-Haul location. If it is, I will conclude you don't care how poorly your customers are treated and I will rent from someone else. Merci.

Horrible location, office was filthy and full of old McDonalds and trash. The ladies checking in were rude and one forced me to get additional insurance even though she's not allowed to do that. Talked with management and they seemed apologetic but with countless bad reviews on Google I have to think this is no secret and yet the bad behavior continues...

Cab smelled. I ordered a truck from a different location. When I got there, there was no truck. Had to go to another location to get the truck.

It's a bit remote and hard to locate and find office. Once they get you signed in and posted to the lot. Great service and they help assured me ahead of time my equipment would me there as reservation request. Great service.

Had issues getting the trailer rented. It was the software site and not the staff. The trailer toungue was damaged and very hard to aattach to th ball on my hitch. When I checked the connections at my first stop, I was able to mlift the trailer off th hitch and could not cet it to seat correctly.

Unorganized and discourteous. Truck was not on lot. Had reservation for 2 months and did not get right sized truck that I reserved. Had to drive to another location to get truck.

The folks at dominion told me they did not have the trailer I needed I drove by there off site storage lot there were two and a couple u-haul employees who were more than happy to rent me the equipment I needed

The truck was very dirty and had a lot of damage that wasn't marked. Spoke to gentleman that works there and he said they don't mark damage on "in town trucks" When I said something to him about the truck being dirty he said if I didn't like it to park the truck and go ficking somewhere else!

I was instructed to get a larger trailer, I'd requested the motorcycle trailer, if I wanted to leave it at my destination, instead of driving with it back. Then I was charged double the one way drop off fee, after discussing pricing and everything. My bill went from $70 to like $600. That is not reasonable or really acceptable even.

They lied about availability and promised a discount that wasn't given. Unprofessional staff that is not helpful and gave me the wrong truck which was smaller then I needed. When the truck I reserved was sitting in there parking lot. Would never recommend this location nor will I ever be using it again

We thought we were doing good bringing that back 17 hrs early we still got charged 20 dollars for some kind of after hours fee she said we needed to check it in we she didn't tell us about that when we rented it first we heard about it was on the bill which was bs

The staff was polite and very friendly. They were very helpful considering I didn't know what size truck I needed for the task. They ask questions and was on spot of what I needed. I will definitely rent from them again.

Actual address to the "overflow" parking

This place has no place to park the U Haul. The address they use directs you to the office. The office has sign in the lot telling you not to park units in lot but no guidance as to where you should park. The is a large area a few blocks away with a lot of U Haul units but no signage stating over flow UHaul use. Getting the U Haul trailer off the hitch was very difficult as there was no tung jack on the U Haul trailer making it almost impossible to pull out from under. I strained my back lifting it off the hitch.

I ordered an appliance dolly, the uhaul didn't have it in the truck. Also the check engine light was on in the truck. Plus no where to park the uhaul when we were done because the lot was small and congested. We did manage to move it in the right spot because someone else was moving there uhaul out. But I was charged 10 for a dolly I didn't get. The office was closed yesterday so I couldn't get a dolly from anyone.

The van was clean on the outside but very dirty on the inside. Animal hair on the seats. Some thing sticky on the handles. Inside of windshield dirty. Food on floor under seat

The rental truck functioned very well. My only comment relates to the initial odometer reading and the initial fuel gauge reading: both readings were noticeably different than what I recorded directly from the dashboard display. However, the discrepancies did not matter much in the end, because the final miles-traveled for which I was charged was satisfactorily close to what I actually drove.

You charged me for an extra day which is BS. I brought it back on a Sunday, a few hours after 9am, no one is renting it on a Sunday so who cares. Total BS. Will never rent from uhaul again

The lot is across the road from the rental office which makes crossing that road on foot hazardous. The couple in the office was very helpful. They were dealing with computer issues. They were nice to work with. The vehicle could use a good interior cleaning, but I have high standards for cleanliness.

I appreciate the friendliest. I had difficulty parking the Uhaul due to poor lighting so I parked where the trailers.were. I aplogozie.formtjis maybe a sign too would help.

all the ordered packing items were not available at pick up. It would have been nice to know that ahead of time. Gentleman was vey nice. Truck had been sitting awhile as evidenced by the snow. Although basically clean, I wasn't confident everything like the oil, etc was checked ahead of rental.'

Typical location. A little difficult to figure out drop off place, but we got it eventually. Staff a little short, like we were bothering her. Overall just ok.

Truck is in desperate need of an alignment. That plus the play in the steering wheel and then high winds on top of that was a bit much at times when driving. Otherwise, all was great.

This location was easy to get to and the staff was pleasant and helpful. We did have to go to a secondary location down the road a ways to get the trailer we rented, but it wasn't hard. Just a tad unexpected. The person that helped us actually got in her vehicle and drove to that ssecond location so we could follow and not get lost and also waited while we hooked up to make sure we didnt have trouble.
