Surprised that the trailer did not include a spare tire just in case of emergency
Thomas MOverall this was not a great experience. I used the U Haul app to check out the truck at the pick up site. The truck was old, with peeled paint, rusted tire rims, damaged door locks, and 150 thousand plus miles on the odometer. Given the tight timeline for my move from North Chicago area to near Houston, Texax, I checked out the truck. After the truck was fully loaded I noticed one of the tires was low. I used the app to get help--a third party company responded to replace the tire. The repair technician mentioned he would not drive a vehicle in this condition cross country. I also suspect the nail in tire came from driving out of the U Haul pick up location since it had debris, dirt, and sfuff everywhere (the piick up location was an automotive repair shop). Once I started the cross country trip early the next morning, I realized the steering wheel had almost a quarter plus turn of extra play making the steering loose and vehicle challenging to control. I went through a few rain/wind storms and it was very difficult to control the vehicle even after reducing speed well below the speed limit. I finally reached my drop off location and used the app to drop off after hours. This will be my last time using U Haul vehciles for moving. The questionable road worthiness of the vehicle and poor maintenance put me and my possesions at risk on this trip.

Francis SEquipment was filthy when I picked it up. The back had LOTS of gravel and gravel dust in it, the passenger seat was covered in pet hair and dust, and the entire cab had a thick film of gravel dust in it. I had to sweep out the back, and use chlorox wipes and a lint roller in the cab before it was useable.
MARY GJust be clearer with the shared lot . Makes no sense to have pickup and drop off keys mixed up on two different sides.. Also, the pickup after hours, managed by the Uhaul app, is a terrible terrible experience.

BILL HEasy to access, even on Saturday when they are "by appointment" someone will be there to get you set up with the uhaul, and possibly, depending on the work they might be doing in the shop, check in the Uhaul.

Deborah SAll went quickly and smoothly for pick up and return. The front left tire was badly out of balance causing excessive shuddering at certain speeds. I could see the tire eccentricity through my driver side window. It did not materially impact my experience but it might be disconcerting for some.

john gThere was no one on this site. I had to figure out how to return the truck with the app. It was not impossible, just time consuming - I also incurred an extra charge that I should not have gotten, but since there was no one there to talk to, I just had to pay it to get past that screen on the app. I will be following up with UHaul about this because the charge was for fuel, and I had just filled the tank. Sure it was only $10 extra, but that's unnecessary and should not have happened.
