Location was hard to find on a gravel side road in middle of city. Lot was thigh high in grass. Lockbox was stuck and had to be forced open to leave a key. No personnel on site to assist

Do not charge the excess fee when the vehicle is returned as it was on initial pick up... that is wrong. U haul has my card information, and choses to charge my card any. This is also wrong.

1. Had included moving pads with my order that were not there at pickup. After calling customer support found out that this option not available at this site. Though not charged, there was no follow-up letting me know this to discover it at pickup costing me 3 hours to find pads at another location 2. The U-Haul app needs a lot of work!!! Very unstable and had to work with customer service to complete the pickup. All told it took over 90 minutes to complete.

The location was just a grassy field that is not easily accessible nor easy to get out of traffic wise. If it had been muddy or raining, that could've been a major issue, because there was no actual paved driveway or staff. Right next to it was someone's house with a bunch of fighting roosters and a lady chasing them with brooms and yelling. It felt like I was in another country. The app did not work for me to check in properly and take photos of the equipment like I have the previous eight times I've recently rented a U-Haul (this was my 9th 26' truck rental). The app only gave me the key combination and then quit working. I tried multiple times to hard close the app, go back into it, and continue the rental process, but it never allowed me to check the equipment in. I took my own photos of the equipment based on my previous rental requirements/experiences just in case. It was the worst location that I have picked up a truck in Boaz, Alabama. All of the others have been fine.
