The customer service was the best part of renting a truck and getting a storage at the Bountiful, Ut U-Haul. Everyone in the store was more than willing to help me navigate the whole process, answer my questions, and when the person that was helping me at the desk didn't know an answer he said so, then proceeded to find out the answers to my questions. Accountability. My best friend and I got everything we needed done in under 45 mins, the whole process was so easy, and that is why whenever I have had to move and store things while living in Utah over the past 7 years I ALWAYS choose to go to the Bountiful location.

The trailer was outwardly in good shape and well maintained, but the surge brake system was non-functional, as a serious challenge throughout our trip and caused issues with our vehicle brakes due to overwork I notified the U-Haul location in Bellingham of the issue.

My reserved location was a half hour away from this one, adding another hour to a seven hour drive to get there. I consider this a major inconvenience. Time is money. No advance notice of this until less than 24 hours to pickup. When I arrived, the place was disorganized, understaffed. The person helping me noticed I could have gotten a car trailer ( which is what I needed) much closer to the location I originally reserved. There was no reason for me to travel further. I feel like uhaul thinks they are the only game in town, which in many cases may be true. Sure did not feel like I was in any way a valued customer

I swept a lot of dust/dirt out of the trailer before I loaded it. The turn-in to this location has a terrible bump, so I wouldn't go here unless you have a lifted vehicle with a good suspension. Staff was nice.

I arrived to drop off my rental 10 minutes before the closing time and when I walked in I was greeted by an African American gentleman saying " you're late", what kind of greeting is that? That's not inviting nor welcoming! Whatever his problem was he needs to keep that shit at home, I was there to do business and not to ask him on the time of my arrival, he wasn't even the person who assured me so I don't understand what was his freaking issue, on the other hand, Michelle was amazing on assisting me with my return! She's definitely upper supervisory material and is worth considering!

The ladies there were cheerful and gregarious and made us feel at home when we loaded in. The restrooms were like something out of a hotel room, clean and Bright. It was the most upgraded experience I've ever had at a U-Haul facility.

The garage door was always broken in the beginning of my contract, it was a nightmare for me and my back pain going all around the small door end unloading since my unit was just some steps away from the garage door!! It was super easy to open it from the inside so it wasn’t secured at all, I was about to ask for a reimbursement, is too expensive!!

Was at this storage unit for 2 yrs (give or take) as a whole I enjoyed my experience at this uhaul storage facility. The biggest thing I had an issue with was the garage door wasn't always working, the staff did help me out when ever it acted up and always explained why but as I hope this will be read by corporate they should be helping all their facilities to succeed with working equipment.

Its my first time renting a storage unit and I was very nervous about it all but the guy in the office got me all set up! got me a map and a card and showed me how to use it. I dont think it was usually his job to help customers with getting set up but he did it anyway and was very kind and patient.

Overall things are good but it was WAY too hot in the storage complex. Climate controlled needs to be not only heat but air conditioning as well. And there really needs to be a ramp to haul heavy stuff on a dolly instead of having to go up a flight of stairs.

The bay door for unloading is broken - I selected a unit that was close to the unloading door because the clerk told me that's what it was used for. It wasn't until after I had gotten my unit that I found out that the bay door is broken, so I can't use that. All good, I had a key card to get in. I've been to my unit 4 times since I got it to move stuff in, and the key card access isn't working. I've told the lady at the front desk and she just lets me in another way. The only problem with this is that I have to do all my moving during their hours of operation... so anytime after 7 PM that I need to get into my storage unit, I can't. The staff is really nice and things are tidy and clean, but it's really frustrating that the bay door is broken, and so is the access to get into the indoor storage units. Knowing what I know now, I would have picked a different unit - or a different storage facility.

Staff was often rude, including the manager. I found myself waiting in the lobby for way too long before finally getting help on multiple occasions. Storage was fine and it worked for our temporary needs.

Process was easy to rent a storage unit, did it all online. I did go into the office to get assistance and the crew was fantastic. They are nice and helpful. Only improvement I would suggest is more motion sensors for lights as they kept going off on us.

The new manager is fantastic. I highly suggest corporate do something nice for her. The new manager explained everything to me, and would not let me leave unsatisfied. unit prices were reasonable for storage She's a fantastic person and I love the smiles. I will not go anywhere else, but this location. This had to be the greatest experience. I've had. I will be sure to let corporate know. P.s. if corporate does not do something nice for the new manager, I will myself.

My unit was locked out the first month I was there, and my info in the computer was not correct, but the staff was very prompt and helpful, they worked through the issues very well! The add on the internet said 24 hour access and I work graveyards so it would be nice on my nights off, but I was told the key pads were being fixed and the access is 5am to 10pm until this happens.

My only complaint is when I got the storage unit I told them I wanted to rent a truck. In 2 days and if I could get my new unit free for 1st month and they told me it didn't matter which day I got new unit that I didn't qualify. I want to know why??

Terry was wonderful! However, I had rented a unit and was only had it for two days, and I ended up not needing the unit, so I went in to close it out. Another young man, whom was also helpful, called upper management to ask if I could receive at least a partial refund since I didn't need the unit. The lady on the other end yelled so loudly that I could hear her from across the room stating, " absolutely not, she still has to pay for the full month and should know this due to the rental agreement!!!" She then hung up on the kind worker. Unacceptable behavior. There is no reason whatsoever, that whomever the woman was had to yell at that young man. He was trying to provide a great customer experience.. and he did. I wish that I knew the woman's name. I would call and stand up for that young man. Furthermore, the Bountiful location stated on the website that it was a 24-hour facility. After I had rented the unit, and received my lock, I was told that the hours had Changed to in-office business hours only, and the code that they give you for access will also not work. You have to go in to the office, wait in line, and have the staff get up to open the overhead door for access. Poor Terry was running around working harder than anytime I've ever seen, and he was still extremely patient and kind!

I LOVE uhaul as a company but this location is severely lacking. should really move to 24 hr access like so many other locations to compensate for lack of customer service from jen. ps if anyone needs to know all of their door security is going to have to be gutted with the electrical so a complete inconvenience for staff and clients. parking lot horrible location, if they have the chance they need to work with the city to have something done about their driveway and the condition it is in.

The staff are working very hard to keep things going despite current difficulties with staffing, etc. They are willing to help out their customers and make do with what they have. The staff were very willing to talk options with me when I needed to make changes and do different things with my unit. I was very pleased with their hard work and customer service.

Unit was in really bad shape. The door was loose on its hinges and the floorboards were wobbly. We had several rude interactions with the employees, and only one of them was helpful (tall man with short blonde hair, didn't catch his name but he helped us with the door). One employee (Damien) was very dismissive of us and ignored our request for a lower unit. Another was a short white lady who was just immediately aggressive and impolite. She made me wait 5 minutes just to see her and then proceded to tell me that the door was entirely broken and that we would have to take all of our furniture through a tiny black door. While the big door being broken wasn't her fault at all, she was immediately aggressive and I felt defensive. There was also no alternate good routes outside the Uhaul storage area which made this a NIGHTMARE. Never coming back, thanks.

Damien was the guy helping us out. Never met someone so apathetic at this place. We were trying to deal with a very harrowing situation and he interrupted us constantly, ignored me when I said I didn't want a unit up stairs because we were doing all the labor by ourselves and generally didn't care about us. Very annoyed with the service, and the storage unit area was very run down and not very stable floorboards. Bathroom was also filthy and there was no water available to drink.

I first arrived at this location in Nov. 2020, with a U-Haul truck for of possessions which couldn't be unloaded as our apartment wasn't ready yet. The young lady who assisted me, gave me not 1, not 2, but 3 units, free for the first month! Prior to the first month ending, we vacated 2 of the units and kept one for seasonal items. We vacated this final unit at the beginning of June 2022, not because of being dissatisfied, but because with the rising cost of gas, I needed to make budget cuts wherever I could. Any time that my situation changes for the better, I would definitely use this location again.

After making a reservation for a storage unit approximately 2 weeks ago to move in on the 30th of November I hadn't received an email or any sort of confirmation. So I called the uhaul number for this location and it ended going into a national que where they had no sort of reservation set up for me to move in yesterday. So we drove down to the location where I placed the reservation and there was none. So Jen was able to find a unit that was available on the spur of the moment and got it ready to rent for me and I'm so thankful for her understanding and my frustration with the whole situation! She went above and beyond what it takes to make a customer happy! Great job Jen!

A few weeks ago, had an experience when I rented a truck. I was disappointed that I had used the app to check in to save tons of time, yet ended up being shuffled from truck to truck for almost an hour while I had friends waiting. But it was business as usual, with no offer for free use of a hand truck or furniture dolley. Some kind of consolation would have been appreciated. I know things happen, but maybe Uhaul should rethink customer service when these things happen.

I really like our storage unit and the ability to pay by automatic payment. But when you changed your policy to only accept a credit card and not debt I left because I do not want charges made on a credit card. All payments previously came out of bank account. I move out from their a week later. You list my business. Plus you didn't even notify me of your change and charged my account a $15 late fee. Way to go. So I thought my unit was paid. Poor customer service. I was with you over 4 years and not one late payment. Your loss and I am happily gone.

I have had a awesome experience with the employees and Jen the manager. I was about to move my belongings elsewhere pror of Jen becoming manager due to lack of communication with the previous manager he was horrible. I have been at ease knowing that the security is highly watched and I have my units inside. It's pleasant to be able to pull your vehicle in the bay to load unload or go through your units A/C in summer & HEAT in the winter and all indoors. The employees all of them deserve a good positive recognition they all are amazing...... Thank you Brandon & Austin for taking care of my situation yesterday your awesome 

Moving can be a stressful time in anyone's life. I have moved dozens of times and used U-haul for all of my moving needs. This past Saturday, 5/1/2021, I was scheduled to meet the guys from Moving Help at 9:30 to unload the U-haul into a storage unit. Because the paperwork wasn't completed, I arrived at 9:00am at which time Jen Barker informed me that the system went down. There were people lined up in the store and U-haul trucks lined up in the yard for check-in...not surprising as this was the 1st of the month on a weekend. Jen and Brandon helped customers as fast as fast as they could using "old school" paper and pen methods. Jen couldn't use the computer to locate the unit I reserved, so we went looking for an available unit by foot. The process was time consuming, but not the fault of the U-haul team. We located the vacant unit and proceeded with paperwork, so the movers could unload the U-haul truck. Because the computer was down, every transaction took longer than expected, but Jen and Brandon were dedicated to helping everyone who walked in as best they could like pros, never rude and always polite and professional. Thank you Jen and Brandon for not giving up and taking care of me!

All staff was very helpful in showing me how to set the security system and walked me through it. They were polite and respectful. I was informed about the difference in quality of padlocks for my storage door. Also, I was informed about the perks of renting an indoor storage with security cameras and alarm system. We started using the storage unit in May 2020. We put this unit on autopay from my credit card. In August, I received an email stating that my payment was late. I called facility and asked about it. I was told to ignore it. I went to access my storage unit on Friday, October 9, 2020. I found a non-payment lock on it. I was told that a janitor had change the ownership to "John Doe". It was explained that he was older, new and not very good with computers. I am still considering moving my belongings to another facility. I think it is extremely poor policy to allow a janitor to change a storage unit status and not to keep a historic record of storage unit ownership. The that helped me reestablish my storage unit were very apologetic, helpful and informative. I appreciate the staff being able to tell us what really happened rather than giving an excuse or tell me a lie.

Mike was unbelievable, he really went above and beyond all expectations. We were really tired and stressed and he was so caring and positive. He took care of all our needs. I had a unit for one year. I couldn't have asked for a better experience. The ONLY recommendation I might have is to give a way to create lighting within the unit. Like perhaps electrical outlets in the hallways or something. In a large unit, even bright flashlights aren't enough. I would highly recommend and will use again if I need storage in the future!

I moved my stuff september 27, i informed the office that i was moving my stuff, they charged me 76 dollars on October and when i called they told me that no one knew i left the storage.

Disappointed that the overhead doors were taken away. Just having the side door made it inconvenient to move stuff into and out of our unit.

The service took longer to get me the unit then expected. Some of this was due to a new guy helping out but the more experienced employee should have jumped in more completely to help out when asked.

My only issue is the access hours. 7pm really limits your access when you get home from work after 6pm on weekdays. And paying extra for longer access to your own property seems like gouging.

The Bountiful office was excellent to work with. They were attentive, helpful, and very kind. However, I cannot say the same for your customer service line via telephone. Waited for 45 mins.

The issue that would make me consider a different storage facility is longer access hours. I get home from work around 7pm so I can't access my storage units until the weekend usually. Kinda dumb.
