The truck I was rented had major problems. As soon as I pulled off the lot the check engine light came on. Then when I slowed down at the stop light the RPMs were erratic going below 500 and nearly dying. The truck did die a couple of times when I stopped. Then on my way to my final destination the temperature light came on indicating a problem. I believe that the problems were known because the cover on the electronic code reader was open below the steering wheel . Thank goodness I didn't take it on the highway or out of town.

RENE KThis is the location we signed up to return the trailer, up until the last email we got, it was this location. When returning the trailer, we discovered U-Haul changed the return location to a place on the other side of town. They had to transfer the rental before we were able to return it. Either be more clear that the return location has changed, or don't change it.

Leo WIt is absurd that you must sign a contract to rent a u haul before you are allowed to rent a u haul. I will never rent one again and will tell my friends and family not to as well.
RYAN WWas at 3 different locations throughout this trip and staff members seemed overwhelmed at all locations. There were many customers waiting for help and not enough people to help them. It was explained at 1 location that they were having system wide network issues, so maybe why it seemed a lot of people were waiting.

It was cold and snow/ ice the man that did the paperwork gave me access codes and when I went to my unit it was locked when I walked back to ask about the lock situation the same guy left in a truck leaving me there in office alone and never said anything about why the situation was as it was.

So, I took independent photos and shared with the Representative as proof and verification. What was the additional charge of $3 on my card for?? I was not informed of a surcharge. Please advise.

BRIAR OI would not recommend anyone to use this company. We called to set up a reservation for a one way use of a trailer telling them we only needed it for one day. They don't disclose the fact that if you rent a one way trailer that it doesn't matter if you use it for 24 hours or the full 4 days you will be charged for 4 days. Which is a bit ridiculous to me to pay $330 for about 24 hour use. But when I spoke with customer service I was told sorry it's a flat fee for one way trailers and doesn't get prorated. I feel like I've been robbed of money.

JEROME JFast and easy way to reserve online, I was able to get really good service inside of this location. I did purchase a plastic cover for my king mattress that had handles. The handles are no where near strong enough to move a mattress. They broke and ripped the first time I used them. It was unfortunately a waste of my money. All other services were great.

David MWell, everything was going great until the transmission line blew off the radiator and just stopped going. Call roadside assistance they were going to be a couple hours before they can help. Luckily someone came along and helped me off the highway and I spent $100 in transmission fluid in a clip for the transmission line and $90 in labor. I still haven't been reimbursed for anything that I purchased nor have I gotten any of my hundred dollar deposit back. So we're not gonna rate this five stars we're not gonna write this for stars or three we're gonna call to start at best.

Alot of damage to my belongings. They didn't offer anything to help with either cleaning or replacement. I understand some presence of mice but not in this amount.

MARY MI was told that I would have 30 days free with rental of truck! On September 22 I opened a unit! On October 20 and 21 I moved my stuff out of units! I called to tell them we were out on Oct 21, at around 11am! The employee told me they would check and make sure the units were empty and mark us as moved out! On October 22 they attempted to charge my card for empty units! Continued for weeks and emails(in which I replied to and stated that we were gone). Harassing my contact person with a letter in the mail ! Charging late fees on money we didn't owe! Sending threatening email about putting a lien on our property!! Im hoping with being send this it's fine and over!

RODNEY PToo many problems occurred. From the pin to get in not working the lock still being on the 1st unit they assigned to me, then the next unit not being the same size as the 1st one. The whole experience was a hassle. There was only one person working. What should have took no more than 30 minutes took over an hour and half.

I was on automatic pay/ - someone in the Uhaul system signed me out of the unit without my authorization. Then I was locked out- I am paying customer on automatic pay never missed a payment. That causes real trust issues.

It was however finally resolved and the overpayment was refunded to my bank account. Their return policy needs to be updated to avoid things like this happening again.
PHILIP APrice increases caused me to look elsewhere. Over $100 is simply too much for open air storage.

I just want customers to be aware that even when u put fuel back in truck u will still be charged for fuel. Even if u empty storage unit u will be charged for empty unit and get late charge. When u get a truck ensure u are being charged correctly. I experienced all 3 of these issues. Didn't get charge back for fuel. Had to let them know they overcharged me to get that money back. Had to leave work and drive to location because they never answer phone to get 200+ dollar charge removed for empty storage unit. Hate to think uhaul is shady but after all the money I spent at this location I can't believe they tried to beat me on 3 separate occasions. Note to consumers. Take pictures of truck fuel and empty storage unit. These people are horrible for stealing from people especially the way the economy is. I work hard for my money and really don't appreciate a company trying to steal it from me. Had I not had the 1st incident with empty storage locker I wouldn't have caught the fuel charge or the overcharge. Customers beware. They won't correct it and act like u did something wrong. Consumers please protect yourselves and your money

Therefore, I had to return to the main office when I had difficulty entering the storage building. But once again, the staff who helped me were friendly.

ANTOINETTE B | Premières impressionsThe three main reasons I chose to store my RV at this facility were the security, having a roof over each space and electricity being available to charge the RV battery. I rented this space for 14 months and for most of that time the electric would not work. The GFCI outlet would trip anytime I tried to plug into it. I complained to the local office staff and corporate, but it was never repaired. My RV was brand new (2021) when I started storing it there and never had any problems with my RV tripping other GFCI outlets, so it wasn't my RV causing the problem. I was actually told by another customer that it had always been that way. It was a nice facility other than I may have to replace my battery now since it's been dead for so long.

I have always promoted uhaul for their professionalism and how well the customer service there is BUT not at this location. The manager was completely rude and was a complete jerk to say the least. If this is how the manager acts, well he's setting a horrible example for his employees and is making the Uhaul brand look extremely bad. When I asked who his boss was he literally told me that they won't care and won't want to speak to me. I am totally appalled by how the manager spoke to me and treated me In front of his employees and other customers. I will tell everyone I know and meet to NEVER use this location and maybe not even recommend uhaul at all anymore.

At which time I gave up and hung up the phone. I went in to the facility. I asked several. Times if I was going to be charged the first unit and the second unit I wanted to switch to. I was assured I wouldn't be since I had never even gone to that first unit. Today I see I have been charged for both. I need someone to contact me asap to get this resolved!

We had to go inside and wait to speak to someone..he was very helpful but we would not have been able to figure it out if the facility was not open for business. The gentleman that helped us was spectacular and went above and beyond to help us. The online portion needs updated for more clear information for the renters.

Everyone was pleasant, helpful and informed. There was one incident that was out of the control of the local mngmt that took a while to resolve but was eventually settled to our satisfaction and not something that negatively impacted our choice to use or highly recommend this facility. I'm only bringing this up so you know if there would be a problem it will be taken care of. We used this facility for possibly two years or close to it. If the need arises we will definitely use this business again.

Alarm goes off every time storage area is accessed, even when keycard is swiped and accepted and automatic sliding door opens. If I was not in such a hurry to move out, I would find another storage facility, even with the extra work that would entail.

I called to inquire about my unit and was informed I did not have a unit. I called my mother who still lives in Springfield so she could get the situation straightened out. She called and spoke with the manager , Phillip, who was incredibly kind and empathetic to the situation. He fixed the problem immediately without a hitch! Thank you U-Haul on Bruns Lane and Phillip oh, you guys are the best!

They were always very clean and well lit, and we did not have one problem with bugs, mice, or anything. We used U-Boxes when we moved, which were a life saver! This is the latest unit we have rented, but we only needed it for a short time. We have been very happy with U-Haul and always recommend it to our friends.

Alfred H | Expérience généraleDuring the pandemic I tried several times to reach someone at the location by phone and email but was unsuccessful. I was able to get ahold of U-Haul but not the direct location that held my storage and was told that I wouldn't be charged any extra fees due to the pandemic and me losing my job. I arrived to pay off my storage and was changed an extra $50 for a lien fee but I was told when I called that I wouldn't have to pay any extra fees and that my storage was never in lien that those messages were automatic. The general manager then gave me his card and said he gets all the emails directly and that I had to pay the fee. That frustrated me even more because I had emailed them several times with no response and I was charged for something I shouldn't have been charged for.
