Received a 20' truck for a 1400 mile trip with a bad engine; had to find a new 20ft by myself only to discover a U-Haul with 20' trucks available 15 mins from my place. Have not received a call back for the unpleasant ordeal.
AMY CTrailer was not ready. Then I was sent to back lot to find it. Trailer not there. Had to go back to counter twice. Redo paper work. Was sold a padlock that didn't work. When I returned trailer I was held up why they checked lights and tire pressure - something they could have done after I left. In a word - disorganized.
PATRICK KNothing but change your location maybe! That spot is a little rough to find the entrance but having said that I found Ronnie a very helpful and patient person to help get me there.
KARL CMy reservation has not insurance. When I picked up, I did not have my paperwork, so I did not compare the price with the quoted price, and inadvertently signed for insurance. This was a blatent rip-off.

PETER RMy experience with U-Haul storage was good;; however the move with Painless Movers was problematic due to being over charged. The two young men who did the actual move were great and the move was done in two hours; but, I was charged for four hours and neither Painless Movers or U-Haul would correct this bad mistake. It is not good to be scammed.

Even when the place is filled with folks frazzled from trying to deal with moving trucks, boxes, etc. he keeps his cool and sorts things out.

MARK ODid have one problem. When we came to pick up the 26 ft truck my husband had to go out into the back lot to find the truck and bring it up front of the store. I did not feel that was his job.
JOSEPH WI reserved a 10x10x12 unit online on Thursday (for Monday move in) and received both a text and email confirmation. Luckily, I live nearby and decided to go in person and doublecheck my reservation the Saturday before moving day. If I had not done that, the moving truck would have arrived with nowhere to put my mother's belongings. Someone had sold the unit that I had reserved. It took well over an hour, but the staff, (The manager, Don) was able to secure 3 smaller units and give me the first month free for the 3 units. Luckily I did not have any large items that needed storage, so it did work out for me. The staff in Brunswick was very helpful, but the system is terrible if they can sell a reserved unit. Until that is fixed, I have reservations about recommending anyone reserve storage at any UHaul online.

Gary P30 minute wait time, the employee was 'multitasking' between two stations, wouldn't take time to listen to my name and almost rented me someone else's truck. Wasn't focused/didn't appear to actually verify my license. The other customer he was helping at the same time didn't speak English as well and he didn't take time to explain things. Equipment was brand new and worked well.

Dan found us a unit of appropriate size and helped us find movers to transport the furnishings to the facility. After a couple months, when we were ready to empty the storage room, two members of the crew helped us move items to our vehicle and moved other items to a "recycle" area to give away. All in all, the folks at Arrow Hart were kind, friendly, understanding, and caring. I highly recommend this facility.

I choose Uhaul because the previous summer for ease of access because I knew everything was ground floor and generally lots of entrances so most units are no more than a couple hundred feet from the nearest door. It was like a 2 minute walk each way to the unit which adds up when you are moving a lot of stuff.
Benjamin S | Expérience généraleThe computer security system did not always work the door would be propped open. When we opened out storage unit the alarm would sound. It was very loud. This occurred for 2-4 months. No one ever came to confirm I'm the owner. When I inquired about this the staff said it's been going on a long time and didn't expect it to be fixed any time soon. Also I emptied out my units about two weeks prior to my anniversary date. When I came in to close my account. They informed me my account was closed when I emptied the unit. I was never notified this was happening.

The maps inside the building are old and incorrect so the unit doesn't even show on the map. Hard to find the garage door due to all the construction and blocked off exits. I do understand that the whole world is short staffed but it was more than that. It made the experience very difficult. Extra long wait to speak to staff with no acknowledgement, poor verbal instruction, key card repeatedly did not work and workers clueless to help or even effectively communicate. When I vacated i told them before, talked to them during, and waited to speak directly to someone afterward to assure i was following requirements. Still i was called about a late payment the next month and no one seemed to know i had gone.

I know Midcoast Moving Solutions from Topsham do a lot of business at this facility and are very pleased with the management and maintenance.

The few times I met the staff, Dan stood there and stared at me loading my items as if I was sealing them or living in the storage unit. Very odd interactions but at least the place was always lit and warm. The janitorial staff were always nice

Someone who change my reservation to April 30, so it was canceled before I even got there. There were no units available in the climate control area so I had to except an old truck body out in the yard to store my belongings and I am not very happy having been a previous customer. The manager Dan is overworked and understaffed, but tries very hard to keep the place afloat.

Additionally, she had the ability to access them at her convenience through automated methods which was terrific. The facility also provided ample carts to help move belongings and wide car bays so that you could load and unload your vehicle inside and in a safe location protected from any weather. I would definitely recommend this facility!

There was no way for me to find it myself as it was not on the map of storage units. It took a very long time to figure out and made me very late. Honestly, the U Haul company on a corporate level needs to step up their game in both communication and customer service, both of which are severely lacking.

STEVEN D | Expérience généraleIt was a great experience until I cleaned out my unit. My monthly contract bills from the 10th of each month. Yesterday (the 20th) I emptied out my unit because I know there is rather long waiting list for these at this time. When I went to front desk the employee asked me how he could help me. I explained I was there to close out my unit and he exclaimed "great we have a long waiting list for these!" I asked if the unit would be prorated since I was turning it in 20 days early and I know that within a day it will be filled again by another Pain customer. He stated that if it had been within seven days of my payment instead of 10 they would've prorated me. I asked him if I was indeed correct that my payment was due on the 10th of every month and he confirmed that. So to clarify I turned in my unit 20 days early and have paid in full for that unit. However it will be rented out to someone else who is paying in full with overlapping payments. I am extremely disappointed in that this is the company's policy and that a shrug is how this is handled at the store level. It is certainly a lesson learned and a story to be told to all friends and family considering storage options. There are many other local alternatives in our area.

A worker was going to go and check it out, I ask if I should stay, I was told I didn't have to that the unit will be looked at and a email sent to me stating everything looked good. I didn't get a email, and they called on Dec. 14th stating that they didn't know we moved out. So someone didn't do their job that day, 3rd of December.

Employees were very helpful and accommodating though, which I do appreciate, and areas well maintained. Thank you for helping me through a rough time.

I understand this is a issue with the national uhaul system but the staff was not helpful in resolving this issue, causing hours long delays in my moving day plus extra expense. The facility bathroom was disgusting and I did not have access to the building or my unit and this was not resolved until after the office closed for the day. I reported the issue to upper management of the company and it was only then that anything changed. You can do better!

Due to the pandemic my move was delayed and I had to store everything for an entire year. When I was finally able to move, all my things were in the same condition as when they were packed away a year ago. My appreciation to the owner for such a clean and well maintained facility. The entire grounds and the store/office are also immaculate. I would highly recommend this specific U-Haul facility.

The entry systems where you swipe a card is confusing and we set off the alarm. I'd not recommend nor use this place again. Very few carts were available to push our furniture the long way to our storage cage either. A very bad experience.
