DAVID PAlthough the Cumberland location provided helpful service, my original reservation was not honored. I had specifically reserved a 20-foot truck at the North Smithfield location, but no local locations had a 20-foot truck available. This experience has left me questioning the purpose of reserving a certain size truck with an estimated mileage, only to have neither of those expectations met. Based on this experience, I do not plan to recommend or use U-Haul for my future moving needs.
HOLLY LThe employee Will was very good to deal with. Very professional and personable. Uhaul should make every effort to keep employees like Will and have them train others. The truck was OK. Even though it seemed older it was clean and everything worked. Ckeckout- I returned the truck at a shift change. I waited an extra 15 minutes to be checked out. The actual process was easy enough but customers shouldn't wait that long. 5 minutes is OK but not 15. Overall, I would recommend that U-Haul store to anyone.

DAVID JHow to improve, rent me the truck for free! Seriiously: the on line reservation process was easy peasy, did it within a few minutes. The Pick up was even better, the gentleman you had working the desk, Will, was the embodiment of customer service. He was pleasant, knowledgeable, thorough in the explanation of the rental agreement and just wonderful to work with regards the truck rental. I would gladly rent from you again!

I told the attendant when I picked up the truck that the tank was less than 3/4 he said i can't change the system but since u have a picture just tell us when u drop it off. I brought it back exactly same gas as I picked up told the attendant and he said sorry the contract shows 3/4 we have to go by that. Showed picture and it didn't matter
DOMENIC VRenting a trailer from this location is like borrowing a trailer from family and chipping in for the beer and pizza after the move. Everyone is friendly, engaging, quick and efficient. This is the most convenient place to rent a truck or trailer and I have been everywhere!

ANGELO BI picked up the trailer and it had a little dirt on the bed, I thought no big deal, I moved furniture Sat & Sun on pavement, I made sure that the trailer didi not have any debri or items left in the trailer, well, I received a final bill and they said there were papers and a rag left on the bed, and they charged me another $15 dollars and said there was some dirt on the bed, well I said I cleaned the trailer before I dropped it off and parked it neat another truck in the front where customers were picking up things, I told 2- customer service reps that the trailer was clean and what you are doing charging me $15 is unprofessional and a way to get more $$ out of a cutsomer, is this a scam?? They want the trailer sparkling or thew charge you? I am not happy with the charge and your customer service team did not want to hear it, they said oh well you should have taken a picture of the trailer bed, I said well, you act like I m renting a car and I need to take pictures of the outside, fenders, bumpers- really- I hope Uhaul uses my $15 dollars to make that location more profitable, I had a great experience renting the trailer and a very poor--poor, final bill charge,. Uhaul needs to explain to the customers at pickup, make sure your trailer is spotless when you bring it back or we will charge you, and for the record, when I received my first printed bill, it did not say anything about the cleaning the trailer, but the service rep said it is on your bill, I said not is not it was a printed bill 0- then he said it was emailed to you, well I moved all weekend and did not review my emails. I had a VERY POOR Experience on your FINAL SURPRISING BILL--have a nice day, a valued Uhaul Customer!!

Joanne A | Expérience généraleI don't generally leave negative reviews but I couldn't get into the building at first and it was pouring rain. I went inside to find an associate to help me, and there was no one around for 20 minutes. (Not exaggerating) by then there was a group of people waiting with me waiting for assistance. We ended up going out to the parking lot to see if someone was on a cigarette break or something and someone finally came... walking very slow... saying he was busy cleaning the vans. He was there alone so I understood. That day was the first time seeing the unit, the associate just told me to go through the employee entrance since there was a group of other people waiting. I went to my unit, then realizing its on the second floor (not the 1st floor like my reservation insinuated), and no elevator. Not even that is the reason for the bad review... the unit I was given has drop ceiling falling apart, mold on the floor and walls, and very weak floors. Also seeing rat traps in my unit doesn't make me feel confident about keeping my kids clothes that I had to put in storage here. I knew $100 a month wouldn't get me much but Jeez... I didn't want to go back to the associate who was dealing with 20 other customers so I just loaded my stuff and left. As soon as I can, I will be moving my stuff to a new facility.

I've used the uhaul on Mendon road in Cumberland a few times now and have had a storage unit here for about a year. I've had a few interactions with Kim and another gentleman who's name I cant remember but he helped me pick out my storage unit. He walked me though the building and helped me choose one that would best suit my needs. Yesterday I moved out of my unit and reserved a 26ft truck, but the day before they said that it wasn't available as the customer who has it wouldn't be here in time. She told me that she could help me out with the 15ft truck. 2 minutes later she called me again and said that they could do 2 15ft trucks for a good deal. I was super impressed again with how much everyone there helped us out. I'm absolutely floored, I couldn't appreciate everything they have done for me more. Thank you again so much. I hope the higher ups see the amazing work you guys do. Thank you again.

jennifer c | Premières impressionsAfter 17 years of having a space at your center the only bright spot was Brian Rishe, who was very friendly, helpful and sympathetic to my situation. The lock had been changed without my knowledge or permission in 2007 by "David " the manager at that time. I don't understand why a perfectly good lock was removed without my knowledge or permission. According to computer notes it is alleged that 2 keys were sent to me which I knew nothing about. Why a master key was not maintained in the office defys any and all business common sense. on part of your management. Then we find the lock was put on upside down which required me to call a locksmith and spend an additional $75 to have the circular lock removed. Next I tried to access the unit only to have to pry open the door handle with considerable force because the door and the bar had been over painted causing both to bond together. Once in it was apparent that someone had been in my unit since the plastic I used to cover everything within the unit was dumped in the middle of the floor, boxes were everywhere, my file cabinet draws were opened and the contents were rifled through, and the floor was covered with odd and end garbage consisting of metals shards, ripped up paper, and crayola crayons , all of which had nothing to do with my contents. The place was a disgusting mess. Then the worse problem was that my Conn Symphony 8 H trombone in my original case was missing!! As if to make matters even worse, I was informed that U-Haul's policy is not to reimburse portions of monthly payments unused. I intend to contact U-Haul headquarters to resolve this but suspect that it will end up in a court battle.
