The original trailer assigned had a burned out tail light. So, I exchanged for a newer trailer. The newer trailer had all LED lights and I believe that is much safer for towing.
Gary BOur first cargo trailer was still full or other people's stuff. We didn't notice it until it was opened up for us to load. Our second attempt had no working brake or hazard lights
CHARLES NMake sure the trailer is cleaned out. We found scrap metal and leaves in the one we picked up. Had to clean it out before we loaded up. They said a $15 charge for cleaning out if not brought back clean. Do I get that $15 for cleaning it out then? I also was charged for 12 blankets, but only received 10. By the time I found out I was too far away to go back.

TONYA HThe staff was great. Communication phenomenal. The issue I had was the computer system itself. I made a reservation for the new toy hauler/ car trailer, and the system wouldn't let my diesel pickup haul it because it's a 2004. I was renting the trailer for a time sensitive issue and it ended up taking an hour to rent it. The very nice employee that assisted me had to make it a walk in reservation just for it to work. Beyond that I've never had an issue with uhaul and will continue to use them if there's something they have that I dont.

Kasey C | Expérience généraleThe parking lot is a huge mess to start with, I reserved online told how much it would be at pick up but the guy ringing me up tried charging me double my quote then did not know how to fix it then. Handed me off to someone else who IMO yes just gave me the price in my phone to get me out of the store there was no apology no kind of communication like here is your stuff get out attitude. For me the location seemed like it was trying to scam. Glad I know my stuff and didn't allow it. Makes ya wonder how many other people get charged double just to have it pocketed??
TAMRA GTrailer was dirty (covered in dried mud) when I picked it up. Additional, I had to call days later after I received an email that I had not returned the trailer and attempts to contact me had been made. I had returned the trailer on the day of rental and no attempts to contact me had been made.
NICKOLAS PEveryone we dealt with was friendly and helpful. There was an issue with the ramp on the trailer but we handled it in Jackson and it was not the fault of the folks at the Flint office. I will happily return to the Flint location for any future needs. Note that the manager actually read the notes from corporate and refunded the amount charged to us in Jackson, as they were supposed to do.

MARTHA KThe van I rented was dirty, the change oil light was on and when I questioned driving the vehicle they told me it was OK!!! I did get to my destination and back OK, but if the change oil light is on it means the oil needs changing!!! I would not treat my own vehicle that way and definitely would want a vehicle I rented to be top notch in care. Also the vehicle was dirty...windows, cupholders, etc. The front fender looked like it would fall off at any time as well. I will probably rent there again because it is the only local rental with vehicles I need, but I sure would like to have a vehicle that was better taken care of.

DEBORAH DShort staffed so very slow process even w/reservation! One female employee running check out, answering phones & doing propane. I have to admit I was very irritated when she got off a long phone call and apologize to us. That was her manager, wanting her to go elsewhere to do things. I feel the manager should have been there since short staffed. She told the manager on the phone she had to go had a long line and the manager kept her on the phone a couple more minutes. That's a shame that that manager didn't come in to help.

SOPHIA SWas told it was the same price for 24 hour rental or a 4 hour rental. Counter clerk put ot in as a 4 hour rental. When I returned the trailer 23 hours later I was charged another day's rental. I paid double for the counter lady's screw up. Shady ass shit right there.

LEONARD WAs I have rented an assortment of U-Haul Vehicles , dozens of times over the past few years. I am disappointed in the cost of these vehicles. Just a few days rent of a small truck, the cost ends up well over one hundred dollars per day. With no special treatment over this period of time. I'm writing this to state that I am tired of having to hurry with the projects, and limit traveling do to milage cost. A $19,95 truck is close to one hundred dollars by the time you walk out the door. Charging for insurance on a daily basis. I've paid less money for 2 months of insurance than a few days of renting only the small truck. I know that nothing I say here is going to achieve one single thing. But, I wish you would consider giving an insurance deal for renting a vehicle for more than one day. Plus, being a customer that uses your services dozens of times over the past 2 years, a customer loyalty card giving me a reasonable percentage price cut. I would like to thank you for your time and the consideration towards these issues. Theodore Coleman

MARK WU-Haul had a half flat tire and a broken headlight. Only noticed when I got half way home, I called road side assistance they said it would be 3 hours, it was 5. They got there an hour before I was supposed to return the truck, "fixed it" and the headlight went out again driving it back in the AM. Manager was supposed to call me, never did. Then they tried to charge me $49 additional dollars, didn't even use the U-Haul since I'm not risking my father in law or myself driving in the dark. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND. How do you not check your trucks before they leave the lot?

John MIf you reserve an item online why do I have to do paperwork when I get there? Should be a way for people to get in on your set time and pick up your rental.
TIMOTHY MOne thing that stood out for me was I thought I secured my storage with my lock going back and forth in it on several occasions, however, when I went to go it on a different day, UHAUL had put a tag and another lock on it. I didn't understand why because I know my storage was paid. The manager went with me and stated that it wasn't secure so as a precaution they locked it and he showed me to make sure this is how my lock is suppose to be. They could use a few more staff.

Roger M | Premières impressionsI am providing best ratings across the board because, while I experienced significant complications and it actually took me about 5 days to finally get into a rental truck, the lengths a uhaul associate went to make sure I was able to finally accomplish my task of relocating my property from one storage facility to this new one were unprecedented as far as my typical experiences go. It is not often that there is any way I can receive accommodations despite all the business misconducts and obstacles beyond my control. But in this case, I was helped until I was able to finally rest uninhibited. And for that I am grateful!!!! So, I will leave my suggestions to uhaul to another avenue another time. As for now, I am, as I came to be in the end, fully satisfied and grateful.

The people at the desk tried to tell me wrong information about getting a space, and treated me poorly until they got a call from their boss, then everything was fine. I had to interrupt Mr Vicent at church! I was told I could sort things in my space but this morning they yelled at me & said I was sleeping. I was NOT. The first night I accidentally forgot to use the blue box to sign out and even though it said you have a night manager type guy I couldn't raise Anyone on the phone. Neither could your guy but he had the same info as me. When I first tried to find which building to go to to order the space, nobody knew which was the main one. They had to call your number to find out and got the same experience I did. I think funneling all your offices into one phone system is a mistake. I know it's very irritating. And a lot of the staff are rude. This is not the first time dealing with them, they're always rude (EXCEPT the lady that finally helped me! ♥️ She was awesome)

Kathy F | Expérience généraleI was extremely happy with the facility, until recently. I physically moved out of unit 1536 (5×10) on 3/29/24. On this same day, I signed a contract and made payment for unit 1523 (10x10). Although I had not physically moved anything into the unit, I returned on 4/4/24, less than a week later, only to find out that I had supposedly been moved out of the new unit. Dante, the General Manager, said he could not find me in the system initially and then found that I had been moved out of unit 1523 because, "The guys checked the unit, it was empty, so the unit had been rented". So much for checks and balances. his is a large corporation and mind boggling how this would happen. He offered me a 10x10 at the facility down the street that was not climate controlled. I eventally settled on a 10x15 (2061) climate controlled for more money. He stated that I was receiving 1 month free, and I'm assuming that this was supposed to be some sort of resolution. However, I have already been charged for unit 1523 through 4/26/24. I did not have my contract for unit 1523 with me at the time, but when I returned home I reveiwed it and I don't know how in the world someone was moved into a unit that I have documentation of paying for less than a week prior. Seems like double dipping. The payments were automatically charged to my credit card for the over the past 3 or 4 years for unit 1536 and this would have been the same for unit 1523, so if I never moved into the unit, it should not be an issue as long as the payments are current. In addition, there is nothing in the contract that states that a customer must move in within a specific time frame. Why wasn't there a green zip tie and tag the on unit, like there is currently on unit 2061? The tag had another person's name on it, and I will not be moving into that until later in the week, so am I at risk of losing that unit as well? I needed a wider unit, not a longer one that I somehow find myself stuck with for the time being. Highly disappointed....

teairra t | Premières impressionsThank you this is my second time having my stuff in storage my stuff was in storage of April 2023 I just got my stuff out October of this year I went and got my stuff out of storage I didn't get it all out sitting my lock in my keys inside my box couldn't find it so therefore 24 hours passed by and when they open up the next day I called cuz my stuff wasn't secured and they put a lock on their for me because I have misplaced my keys that was inside my lock and I work with the people and tell them what was going on they put a lock on there I was able to retrieve my things within 24 hours when I got another truck so all my stuff was there the place is nice and clean you don't have to worry about anything far as mice rats or anything everything was Secure I love this place thank you you all I will recommend you and I will use you in the future thank you once again

I'm my opinion, this was super unprofessional and it happened 2 days in a row while I was clearing my unit. Not trying to be a "Karen" lol just bringing it to the forefront so that customers feel comfortable and respected at a professional business.

Or when doing inventory counts and a customer is at front counter being ignored when they should stop and take care of the customer. I've been in customer service for over 30 years and never have I ignored a customer.

Cheryl K | Premières impressionsI found the staff to be friendly however, I had many problems, most importantly, I feel as though I was completely over-charged with over $600 in fees for a truck rental and a storage unit. I have to go through and figure out what all the charges are for and the receipts don't even specify so I have no way of knowing. I do know I got charged $38 for fuel when the truck was returned on 1/2 tank just as it was when I picked it up. Initially the storage unit I had was far too small and was no a drive up so that put my move behind a whole day. Also I had to come back for the dollies I rented because they forgot to load them. That also put my move behind. I had to come back up there because no one would answer the phone. I would not recommend this uhaul store.

JOSEPH A | Expérience généraleRead in a few places it was 24/7 self storage but it's only accessible between 7am and 10pm which really isn't an inconvenience unless you're trying to work through the night to move out on a deadline but it isn't 24/7. Other than that, I'm pretty happy with it. I would recommend uhaul storage to anyone. For the climate controlled storage and the ease of access it's well worth it.
Bryan E | Déménagement en ligneTruck didnt run good. Rpms where high the whole time. Mirror on passanger side is broke wasted hours and gas trying to see out the window so i didnt hit cars or trying to get over. I got jumped and had property stolen and my ribs broke so truck was needed extra days

Competition is commerce but true **PERSONAL SERVICE** is the **MAKER or BREAKER** I will travel for good service, I will follow workers for good service!! And that's why MILLER RD is an actual joy to work with. What DAVID has in his CHARACTER can't be bought. DAVID has a very good BALANCED personality that includes a necessary blend of compassion, commitment and knowledge Actually, the WHOLE team was VERY good this time. Moving is STRESSFUL for MANY reasons and especially since COVID and the desperation it created in families. Please allow me to say..."WE NEVER KNOW THE SOLES IN WHICH ONE WALKS but WE CAN HELP WITH THEIR SOULS"....this is in all aspects of life especially when one's life has ended up in plastic bags going down the road in a WHITE & ORANGE TRUCK!!!!! The next day I received a call from another staff member because she did see a loxk on that unit & wanted to know did I needed it any longer. In which upset me because I set up automatic payment so it would never be late. That's the way I do business I expect for U haul to do the same.

I always was treated with respect by dedicated professionals under Melissa's leadership. Actually, making a cross-country move means I no longer will be seeing these kind individuals - Melissa, Barb, David, Daryl, and others. They had become trusted friends and I will miss them. maggie p | Expérience généraleOnly issues I have is I rented the 26 foot truck and it was full and there isn't a unit the same size has the truck so I didn't have enough room I had to get a 2nd unit and the prices are high.

It's incredible how courteous and accommodating everyone is. This is a sign of great leadership from the top down. They seem as though they're treated fairly and are fully trusted to do their job well. As they should be, because I've never seen or heard anything otherwise! Thank you for a wonderful experience. It was worth every penny and I will miss having my storage unit there. If I ever need accomodations again, this location will be my first choice and I will recommend it to anyone and everyone!!

I waited 30 minutes and had 2 persons that I was paying waiting to unload truck into storage. Very frustrating. When I finally was waited on guy was apologetic.
